Our stay exceeded our expectations. We were visiting Harper's Ferry just after the New Year so it was off season. Tony helped us figure out what would be open and where we could get good meals. The cottage is spacious, spotless and well equipped. It is a beautiful but updated period home. We loved our short stay and hope to be able to return for a longer visit. Would love to spend some time sitting on the beautiful back porch! The location is relation to downtown Harper's Ferry could not be any better. Just a great house for a very good price!

Beautiful and peaceful location. Great spot to really disconnect. I would highly recommend staying here.

The place was very cozy and cute. It had all that we were looking for. The hot tub was our favorite! There was games and a fire pit. I only had a complaint about the cleaning as I paid for the fee so the place is expected to be clean. However, the host was so nice, responsive and proactive and said he would take cate of it to ensure next guest are good. I definitely recommend the place as it is close to several attractions. We had a blast!

Perfect Family Getaway

We really enjoyed our time here just last week. The home and property were perfect for our family and our hosts were easy to reach and accommodating. We had privacy, plenty of space inside the home, and the sun room was a great bonus. The children had more than enough room to run around outside. They loved exploring the property and making S'mores around the fire-pit. The Woods activity center had a nice pool and gym. We hiked several trails in the area with beautiful views. Harper's Ferry was a great day outing. We hiked along the river and ate at the Anvil Restaurant, which was delicious. We really enjoyed our time at the Woods.

Well maintained and cozy. The host was very proactive and responsive. Good place to go if you like hiking in the woods. Photos are very accurate.

The cabin was perfect for our mini vacation away from city life and with a fur child. It was stocked with what we needed and we picked up a few things at the corner mart or the dollar general, a few miles from there. Amazing views of the night sky out there and hot tub was nice in this snowy weather. Tony was a great host and communicated before during and after our stay. Highly recommend staying here for a peaceful getaway!

We wanted a quiet, woodsy place to usher in the new year, and Tony's place suited that purpose well. The simple but well-furnished and comfortable cabin is situated by a pretty brook, close to the woods and near the end of a not-too-traveled road.

On Tony's recommendation we rented an AWD SUV for the trip, but it was entirely unnecessary for the weather we had. Our little car would have been more than adequate for the drive. Tony provided all the information we needed. Note that there is no wireless service in the area, so you're entirely dependent on the (good) internet connection for communication, including with Tony, who messaged us during the trip: we didn't see his messages until the next day when we were driving back.

All in all, it was a nice place for the sort of mini-holiday we wanted.

Tony was a fantastic host. He was very communicative, checked in frequently, and was easy to work with. The house felt new and clean, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need to cook great meals. The neighborhood remote, wooded, close to a private lake and great hikes. It worked well for us. Thanks, Tony!

Picked Tony’s place as a last minute weekend getaway. Tony was extremely responsive and checked-in frequently. Charming house in a great location with easy access to downtown and the beach. Check out Steamers, amazing food! We utilized the fire pit and grill out back, even with a rainy weekend. Enjoyed sitting in the screened in front porch with a cup of coffee. Highly recommend Tony’s place on Chincoteague Island.

Tony was very helpful! Price is reasonable! especially with the jacuzzi.

We went last minute for a one night getaway from DC to Tony’s place - one couple and our dog. It was a good space for just the three of us and if the weather was a bit warmer, we would
have used even more of it. (ie: deck, screen porch)

The town is about a 10 min drive away from the neighborhood and is quite charming. Tony is super responsive and has a thorough guidebook for all his properties which is really helpful.

The hot tub is huge/really clean and was a real plus staying there once we got it going. The fireplace was also great (bring wood!) and master bed comfortable.

Our family of five had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Tony’s place! The location is close to many hiking trails and downtown Berkeley Springs, but the area surrounding the home has plenty of privacy. The view of the mountains from either of the two balconies is breathtaking! Our family cooked several meals in the kitchen and found it to be well equipped with cooking supplies. Tony was very communicative throughout our stay and checked on us to make sure everything was going well. One thing to note is that the staircase leading to the loft has quite narrow footing and takes some getting used to. We found the house to be just spacious enough for the five of us, although a bit smaller than we expected. Overall a beautiful, serene spot for a getaway.

Tony went above and beyond. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a private getaway!

Enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and cozy, with lots of helpful items especially for cooking. No wifi but we wanted to disconnect for a few days so that worked for us. Landline phone available for emergencies which was nice. Hot tub was so relaxing and clean, fire pit outside was cozy and fun to use (we made s’mores). We slept on the bottom bunk and the bed was actually more comfy than expected. Fresh towels, smelled really clean. Comfy couch and nostalgic DVDs. The closest town is about 20 mins away, the drive isn’t bad but some hills are steep up the mountain. Majestic pizza is a must- really really good pizza and they have lots of deals. Overall great stay, cabin was cute, could have used a light on the screen porch, extra towels for the hot tub, a knob to hang towels by the hot tub, and a shower liner to prevent curtain from sticking to you while inside and/or molding.

Such a cute little house in the historic downtown of Harper’s Ferry! We spend the day hiking before checking in to freshen up then went to a winery. Then we were able to easily walk to dinner and to breakfast the following morning. Tony provided us with a guide which we found very helpful. We would def recommend this house to others.
