We had a wonderful stay at Tony’s place! It was just what we needed for a peaceful retreat out of the city. It was a beautiful location with wonderful amenities for the price. It is an easy drive to all the attractions in Luray. Tony was extremely responsive and answered any questions that we threw his way. My kids are already requesting we go back and stay- they loved the hot tub and foosball table!

This was the perfect getaway with a beautiful view and great amenities. The hot tub under the stars was amazing after a day of hiking in Shenandoah national park. The front porch faces a beautiful mountain view with lots of furniture to eat outside and just relax and enjoy the nature, I especially loved the bench swing. The directions were clear and Tony was extremely communicative, checking in to make sure our stay was going smoothly. The only downside was the steep hill and bumpy terrain to access the property, which was clearly stated in the listing. Thankfully there was beautiful weather during my stay and my sedan was able to make it up and down the mountain with no problems, just taking it extremely slow.

We enjoyed our stay, the area is private and cozy. Tony was Great! Very communicative, helpful and friendly. We used the fire pit which was cutely lit at night. Playing foosball was lots of fun!! There is a variety of board games available which was a nice touch. The swing on the porch was also nice.
We didn’t use the hot tub as it was too cold for us.
However, the floors had some severe cracks that were covered up with rugs, kitchen has minimal and low end appliances/amenities/tools, and the bathrooms didn’t look very clean (hair on the walls in shower and dusty around the edges on floor). The laundry machines were “broken” during our stay which was annoying. Also upon entering, there was a very strong smell of deodorant plugins, which we had to unplug as my dog was sneezing from it. Be aware of an extremely steep incline leading up to the street, we drover our Honda Civic and I was quite nervous going up that, (if you have a truck or 4 wheel drive it is probably okay).

Beautiful cabin getaway that was private but 15 minutes away from downtown Luray! The hot tub and campfire was incredible and the place was exactly how it was listed. Tony was very communicative. Would definitely recommend!

First of all, it’s in a beautiful area with lots to do. Only had a good suggestion of things to do while we were there. The backyard needs some maintenance though the grass was tall and overgrowing into the fire pit. The master bedroom bed was kinda wobbly and uncomfortable, but the place was super beautiful and a very good location with a nice grill and a very private just what me and my girlfriend needed. Definitely need some work but nothing that’s not fixable. Loved the foosball, hot tub and two bathrooms has and a very big front porch!

Positive:
Loved the hot tub and the fire pit, and the sleeping arrangements were comfortable. My kids loved the games and puzzles available.
Negative:
The backyard seemed like it hadn’t been mowed recently, so we were worried about snakes in the taller grass going to and from the fire pit. We couldn’t find any flashlights when the power went out.

We were very pleased with our stay! We really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. House was vey clean and spacious. The only issue we encountered in the house was the TV, couldn’t really watch anything without it buffering.. but not a big deal. Also, having to take the trash down the road and dumping it while it was pouring wasn’t so great.

The board games and the Foosball table were a great addition for some family time.

I stayed at Tony’s place with my parents. It was a quaint cabin in the woods of Luray. It’s about a 20 min drive to the Thornton Gap entrance of Shenandoah National Park and then anywhere from 5-30 minutes once you’re in the park for local trails if you’re looking to hike! We enjoyed the hottub and fire pit features of the house and was a perfect cozy weekend stay.

Nice to have a yard for the kids to play in. The house includes many yard games. The house is only 20mins from the park but once in the park you have to drive much farther to get to any of the hikes. Did enjoy the family time while we were in the house: bonfire, hot tub, games, foosball, etc

Tony’s place was great! The cabin matched the pictures well and the place was very clean. The house is a little bit older, and that is evident in some of the appliances, kitchen cabinets, etc., but I also felt that this added to the cozy cabin feel. It was not a super isolated neighborhood, but the house itself felt very private with the tree lines separating the neighbors from us. The backyard was a great place to hang out and the hot tub was so nice to have. Tony was a great host; he was very responsive, he gave us plenty of recommendations, and left us very clear instructions. I’m really glad we chose to stay here and would definitely recommend it!

Loved staying here, if you’re looking for a peaceful get away this is a great place to stay. The WiFi is not great but other than that it’s a wonderful cabin. There is plenty of nature and wildlife surrounding the cabin. We saw a few deer and lots of birds, there was even a fluffy black cat who was very friendly! Hot tub was fantastic, Host is very responsive, and plenty of things to do in the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Tony was very responsive. There was an issue I brought to his attention and he responded immediately. Checked with us about the lawn people coming while we were there before just saying yes. Very appreciative. Only suggestion I have is to update the listing to remove the dishwasher as an amenity as there is not one.

Decent place with a lot of greenery and privacy. Deer walked up right into the backyard in the mornings. Overall, the place needs some maintenance for example the kitchen sink was getting water logged, too many spiders and spider nets on the front porch, overgrown grass in the backyard. Other than that, the host was very responsive and the cabin has a good facility for firepit and bbq.

Great place, would highly recommend. Beds are a bit hard, but to each their own. Also doesnt have a dishwasher as per the description. A/C is quite loud for the room in the back.
Great games and place for kids, a little drive from town/Shenandoah NP, but worth staying at!

A good stay.
Great location. Luray is great. The Shenandoah Outfitters was great and super close. We recommend going to the Shenandoah Caverns, not sour art Caverns.
The kitchen was well equipped. Loved the washer and dryer. Bathrooms were roomy, and the game room was nice.
The WiFi is very spotty. In the end, there was no WiFi for us at our stay. Because of that the smart TV was not an option to use. Turns out there were WiFi connections sure back around July 9 for another person. Dressers were broken. All the issues were mentioned to Tiny and he assured they will be taken care of for future guests.
This is a dog friendly place so it does have a very mild dog smell to it. But, nothing horrible.
Overall it was a nice stay.

I booked this place day of check in due to another property falling through and I am glad the other place didn’t work out! Tony’s place was super cute, very peaceful, and quiet – he was even able to let us in a little early despite booking for the same day. The house has everything you need, even kids soap and bowls/utensils, which we really appreciated and haven’t seen before. The foosball table was a hit too. The wifi is cellular and not very strong. which allowed for more family time. 🙂
There are a lot of bugs outside, but that’s just what you get in the mountains in the summer! What matters to me is that they weren’t inside. Haha. We also saw a deer in the back yard which was fun. The porch swing and hot tub are super nice for relaxing after a long day of hiking. Beds are memory foam and a little firm for my liking but everyone has different preferences!
I would and will definitely stay here again. Also not far from downtown Luray, which is so cute! 5 stars all around.

Something to note if you’re looking to go to Shenandoah National Park, is its approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour away one way from the property. This is something that I wish we had known, as going to Shenandoah was the main reason we visited the area. We weren’t expecting to have to drive that far to get the park. This has nothing to do or a reflection of Tony’s place, it was just something we had to adjust for once we got there.

Disappointing Stay – Serious Comfort & Cleanliness Issue
the bed is broken and make weird noise
The blanket provided was ripped and very old, with no extra blankets available in the room.the bathroom was not clean.

The place was spacious and mostly clean. The bathrooms were a bit dirty (hair) and stained (bathtubs) and smelled like urine (pretty sure human). The hot tub was filthy. We were not able to use it. The water was green. Parts were broken, and there was a disgusting film the entire way around the top of the water. We specifically looked for a place with a hot tub and we’re not able to use it. The heat was broken the first night we got there, but it stayed pretty warm. The host was very nice and responsive with any questions that we had. if you’re planning on using the Internet, don’t! There is spotty at best cell phone service and the Internet was not usable…. The TV runs off of this as well. We couldn’t stream things or have meetings from the property.

Very clean and quiet. The WiFi was poor, and the house unfortunately didn’t have heat for the duration of our stay, but Tony was fairly responsive.

We have always had amazing stays at other places, as we are avid travelers. However this was not an ideal anniversary trip at all. From booking, to 2 weeks after check out. Hurricane Helene hit right before and our personal home lost power and had down telephone poles. We attempted to cancel two days prior and it was not permitted even with a major natural disaster. Which we ultimately understood and decided we would make it work.
The home was clean and everything with the manual, rules etc. were easy to understand. We always ensure to do our research and respect the home.
Fast forward two weeks later and I get a random request for $155 from the host. This request was claiming they needed to buy a new towel and a new bed sheet because we “damaged” it. The pictures were of multiple stains some linens and towels. I attempted to write the host, but an answer was not given. We did decline this request as I feel almost two weeks later, and other individuals had stayed there after.

Great place, would highly recommend. Beds are a bit hard, but to each their own. Also doesnt have a dishwasher as per the description. A/C is quite loud for the room in the back.
Great games and place for kids, a little drive from town/Shenandoah NP, but worth staying at!

A good stay.
Great location. Luray is great. The Shenandoah Outfitters was great and super close. We recommend going to the Shenandoah Caverns, not sour art Caverns.
The kitchen was well equipped. Loved the washer and dryer. Bathrooms were roomy, and the game room was nice.
The WiFi is very spotty. In the end, there was no WiFi for us at our stay. Because of that the smart TV was not an option to use. Turns out there were WiFi connections sure back around July 9 for another person. Dressers were broken. All the issues were mentioned to Tiny and he assured they will be taken care of for future guests.
This is a dog friendly place so it does have a very mild dog smell to it. But, nothing horrible.
Overall it was a nice stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Nature's Nook. The kitchen had just about everything one would need, and the bathrooms were large and easy to maneuver in.

We would return to this Airbnb. Everyone relaxed and had a good time. There is a lot to do in the area.

I booked this place day of check in due to another property falling through and I am glad the other place didn't work out! Tony's place was super cute, very peaceful, and quiet - he was even able to let us in a little early despite booking for the same day. The house has everything you need, even kids soap and bowls/utensils, which we really appreciated and haven't seen before. The foosball table was a hit too. The wifi is cellular and not very strong. which allowed for more family time. 🙂
There are a lot of bugs outside, but that's just what you get in the mountains in the summer! What matters to me is that they weren't inside. Haha. We also saw a deer in the back yard which was fun. The porch swing and hot tub are super nice for relaxing after a long day of hiking. Beds are memory foam and a little firm for my liking but everyone has different preferences!
I would and will definitely stay here again. Also not far from downtown Luray, which is so cute! 5 stars all around.

Our family had a great mini vacation here. We loved all the board games, outside toys, and coloring books for the kids! Felt right at home!

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was just like the pictures and the description. We reached out with a request and Tony jumped right on it and got it taken care of us right away. A wonderful host!!!!
Something to note if you're looking to go to Shenandoah National Park, is its approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour away one way from the property. This is something that I wish we had known, as going to Shenandoah was the main reason we visited the area. We weren't expecting to have to drive that far to get the park. This has nothing to do or a reflection of Tony's place, it was just something we had to adjust for once we got there.

Tony’s place was awesome! It was private and peaceful and was perfect for a relaxing weekend away! It was close to the Shenandoah river outfitters which was perfect for a tubing trip! Tony was very kind and responsive! We will definitely be back!
