Cute little cabin with a great rustic vibe. We loved how secluded the property was, but still close enough to civilization sonit wasn’t inconvenient. Yes we had a few encounters with spiders, but we were in the mountains and thats to be expected. bring kayaks if you come, their water access makes kayaking a fun activity in the summer.

I had a really wonderful stay. It was private and quiet with a beautiful stream a few yards from the porch. The interior was rustic, clean, comfortable, had a good kitchen for cooking, and relaxing porch swing.
When I had questions, Tony and the team were very responsive and helpful.
As others have said, there isn’t any cell service within several miles of the cabin, so print out the directions and instructions. Once there, however, the wifi was strong and fast and wifi calls were possible.
The only downside was that after heavy rains the gravel roads were muddy and the low bridge on Rock Ford Road was nearly covered. I made a wrong turn and found a steep mud road that needed a 4 wheel drive. That was my fault, so be sure to keep the directions handy and follow closely. My only other caution is to drive slowly on Rouse Mountain and Rock Ford roads. The road is narrow with blind hills and curves. But once you get there it’s marvelous and well worth the drive! I hope to visit again!

Me and my fiancé Hunter had the best time at the Stone Cabin for our weekend getaway! When we initially got there, we realized that the previous guests didn’t leave it as they should have- but Tony was very responsive and immediately made things right for us. He is an amazing host and I’d highly recommend renting from him! Our cabin was beautiful, and the views were even better! We will definitely be renting from Tony in the near future, and I urge you to as well!

We liked the house — it’s very private with a big backyard and a peaceful setting.
However, in the winter there’s not much to do nearby, and we couldn’t really use the outdoor space. The house was also quite cold inside, so make sure there’s plenty of firewood or additional heaters if staying during colder months.

Just what we needed for a quiet getaway. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the cabin and the wood burning fireplace was a plus for my husband! Comfortable beds and overall a really nice place in a little slice of heaven. Would definitely stay again!

The place was fine, but it was the team that made it nice. We were there during a snow event and last minute I changed cabins. Tony and his team helped me get it done and were responsive all weekend.

Beautiful REMOTE location! Communication was excellent. I would suggest a downloadable map be made available. I lost navigation several miles from the cabin. I also stopped at the wrong cabin. Follow Tony’s instructions and download the cabin manual before you leave (my fault). I thought I would download it when I got there. No cell service equals no manual, no combination for the lock box, no WiFi password, no wood for the wood stove which you need to bring. A kind neighbor let me use his WiFi or I would have had to drive back several miles to get service. Cleanliness of the cabin was OK. More attention could be paid to the dust and objects under the beds (easily seen from stairs). The amount of linens were insufficient for three people (I did fill out that portion of the reservation). Linen closet was chained and locked. If you like nature and a rustic setting, this is a beautiful location. Warmer months would allow for more, great activity!

This cabin turned out to be what we needed, just getting there will be a experience we won’t forget . Maybe it’s in the instructions but best advice I can give is keep going straight until you can’t go any further and you will see the house number on both sides of the property we got in late and it was dark and rainy a bit my gps ended us before getting to the cabin so we thought we were there and turned right into a cabin that was sitting on top a hill couldn’t see any house numbers so thought we must be there attempted to drive up this driveway in my suv couldn’t make it but did manage to get our car stuck on a huge bolder rock that outlined the driveway and that was scary no cell service whatsoever. I went up to the cabin the guy spoke to us through the ring doorbell as I was shining my flash light looking for a door code and said this is not an Airbnb you need to keep driving up the mountain. That let me know we weren’t the first people to ever turn in there. we finally made it!!!

This stone cabin is great. It’s remote, quiet, and offers complete relaxation. The open fire place and the wood burning stove made this a warm and toasty experience. It can be quite tricky to find, but once there you will love it as much as we did. Beds were comfy, good size bathroom, well equipped kitchen, and enough space for the entire family.

Can’t even begin to describe how pleasant our stay at the stone cabin was! The host was incredibly responsive, professional, accommodating, and friendly. The place itself was accurate to the listed description, very clean, and private. The surrounding scenery was breathtaking, and there was plenty to do outdoors and in. I hope this beautiful chalet stays available to Airbnb long-term, because we’d love to go back!

What a lovely place. Kitchen was well equipped.Linens and towels were great quality. The Potomac Eagle Train in Romney was wonderful, worth the drive, Cacapon State park is a hidden gem.

Such a charming place in the wilds of West Virginia. It’s a location that will definitely take you on a bit of an adventure. Tony had great communication and the place was quite clean. We would certainly go back. Enjoyed everything about the place.
Now I will warn you. If you’re from a suburban or urban area and not a confident and proficient driver, this may not be the place for you. Rt 9 fancies itself a black diamond slalom run and the back roads get very rural. We conquered with no problems, but I’m someone with strong driving skills. If you’re from more rural areas, this is probably just another day of driving.

Everything was as described! Tony was an excellent communicator. Nestled in the woods for peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle, but also close to Berkeley Springs and many other locations. Visited several towns within 1 to 1.5 hours. Was a great central location and blend of a peaceful vacation still full of sightseeing and hiking.

The place was very clean and easy access to find all the house supplies , only thing about location is very far out and you’ll loose service on ur way up however the wifi is very pristine so once we arrived all service was back on and overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend booking , thanks again Tony!

Overall it was a great place to stay. Located in a very private location, you couldn’t even see the closest neighbors. Tony and the blue maple team were very responsive and very helpful. We were a little disappointed with the cleanliness, as when we arrived there was some kind of dog food on the ground with ants, crumbs all over the couches, and crumbs and other dirt on the floor as well as some animal hair on the beds. Overall, we had a great time on our trip.

This house is located in a beautiful, private setting. Keep in mind that you will have to take winding, narrow mountain roads to get to it! The private river access (which you drive to) was nice because all of the nearby river access was very hard to navigate. There isn’t a beach at the private river access, but you can wade out, bring chairs to sit, and fish. We saw several deer there. The bathroom is nice with great water pressure and a very hot shower (you don’t have to have it that hot). Wifi worked great in the house, but we couldn’t get a cell signal on some of the drive and by the river access. The kitchen was stocked with basics, but if you plan to do a lot of baking/cooking there you may need to bring stuff. There is a drip coffee maker, but you need to bring coffee. Overall, we enjoyed the grill, the porch, and the peace & quiet! The beds were comfy, too, with lots of pillows. The daybed by the window is perfect for reading! I recommend the state park for swimming and hikes.

Wonderful place to stay. Cabin nicely tucked away in the woods alongside a nice stream. Very relaxing hearing the water flow while out on the pprch. Even though there were only two of us, we apprecialted all of the.seating and the nicely stocked kitchen. Plenty of places to sleep of you have a larger group. Berkley Springs and Cacapon State park were grear too. You could definitely spend a lot of time at the latter – so many outdoor activities.
Peaceful and relaxing is what we were looking for any that’s what we got!

Our only trouble was entering. Instructions say “lock box is on the front porch post directly in front of the entry door”. There is also a lock box on a post directly in front of the door under a small porch in the back. It was not clear exactly which lock held the key but we pulled all the way in to turn around and never realized there was a second lock box. Otherwise, cabin was very peaceful and secluded with a nice rustic feel and very well decorated.

My wife and I spent our June anniversary at Stone Cabin. We enjoyed the private setting and the therapeutic sound of the nearby stream. It was a rainy weekend so the large porch was really nice. Tony quickly responded to a question we had, and checked in again later to make sure all was well.

Stayed for a short weekend getaway. Cute place in the woods. Drive to Berkeley Springs 30 minutes. Only issue were bugs. Have bug spray on hand otherwise an enjoyable stay. Tony responded quickly to questions. Provided detailed instructions about place. Would book again.

Our family had a fantastic time at the stone cabin! Such a beautiful, peaceful and private setting. Just what we needed to unwind and unplug. The info we received ahead of time was clear and straightforward, allowing us to find the place easily. And Tony was super helpful and communicative throughout the weekend.
We lost power for about 24 hours, but it only helped us to ‘unplug’ to a greater degree. And there was water and emergency lights provided to assist us.
I can’t recommend Tony’s place enough!

Nice place very remote,had a few issues,lost electricity to the cabin 1day. Didn’t read any reviews on the drinking water ,there was a water canister but no water bottle so yes water was an issue but overall a nice place to visit,Tony was a great host.

No me gustó que el área asignada para la fogata exterior estuviera muy obscura y muy alejada de la cabaña, la chimenea principal no abria completamente y el humo se quedaba dentro de la casa. creo que de cortesia deberian de regalar leña para los inquilinos, nesecita tener más iluminación exterior por motivos de seguridad, más luces con sensores de movimiento, no tenía grill, además un baño estaba dañado, algo que sería muy atractivo, si rentas una cabaña para estar en navidad creo que deberían de tener algunos adornos para que la casa sea más confortable

No me gustó que el área asignada para la fogata exterior estuviera muy obscura y muy alejada de la cabaña, la chimenea principal no abria completamente y el humo se quedaba dentro de la casa. creo que de cortesia deberian de regalar leña para los inquilinos, nesecita tener más iluminación exterior por motivos de seguridad, más luces con sensores de movimiento, no tenía grill, además un baño estaba dañado, algo que sería muy atractivo, si rentas una cabaña para estar en navidad creo que deberían de tener algunos adornos para que la casa sea más confortable
