This home was perfect for what we needed! Much better than any other hotel in town and price was great! My partner and I went white water rafting and the location of this home was so close. Home was very clean and neighborhood was quiet. Hot tub was a huge plus! Very comfy and would stay again.

It was my only child’s 21st birthday, and Tony’s place set a high standard with comfort and was short distance to the New River Gorge National Park (many attractions). The hot tub was Great and felt sooo nice after our activities/Excursions. The linens felt upscale on my bed and the mattress was comfortable. The house gave us room while still being very cozy.

The Kitchen was Great, we cooked in every night had everything we needed.
It was a GREAT location felt like the center of the Gorge – perfect for Hiking any of the trails. And even though the house is in town – it was a quiet neighborhood-loved the large hedges gave us privacy and felt very cozy.
Our host was quick to respond to any question- very proactive with messages and reminders very helpful..
We would definitely recommend this property to any of our friends planning to go New River Gorge..

This was a great place to stay. We have two small children with us so what stood out to us was the games they provided. The girls loved the connect four and the corn hole game. My older girl loved the coloring as well. The amount of towels that were provided was also a huge bonus since there were 4 of us and we traveled without beach towels for the hot tub. They also provided children’s kitchen ware and kids soap! I also appreciated the recommendations provided for restaurants and things to do. We went to pies and pints and it was great. They had a playground for the kids and the pizza was amazing!! We also drove the Fayateville bridge trail and it was a great drive with amazing views! Both of these were recommended by the host! And as always the hot tub and fire pit were great amenities that we utilized. It was also within a few minutes to stores, gas stations and places to eat. We would definitely stay again if we pass thru the area!!

We had an amazing weekend at this house & will return soon. We got there hours after we planned to arrive, and I was worried about getting into the house because I should have completed the rental agreement online earlier in the evening to get the code (it was 9:30pm). Tony was responsive with our entry instructions. It was a nice start to our weekend, and I really appreciated it! I felt confident that if I had any issues, he would have taken care of them.
Everything about the house was exactly as pictured. The hot tub was AMAZING. They leave you a TON of towels—don’t worry about running out! The furniture was clean & comfy, beds & linens were pristine, and everything was well cleaned and maintained in the kitchen. We cooked meals, so we used the kitchen and grill. They have everything you need (only thing I did not look for/check for was a blender or mixer, so check). We spent the weekend visiting New River Gorge & were 15 minutes/less from everything. Our dog loved the house too!

What a cute little house! It’s quiet where we stayed. It’s close to Fayette and the The New River Gorge Bridge is just minutes away! We highly recommend the One Ten Cafe! Great food and the servers are amazing. Tony, our host was responsive right away to answer anything we asked! We will definitely be staying here again.

Tony was very helpful and proactive in all of our communications. You can tell he puts significant effort into his guest’s experience; he provided in depth local recommendations and had great amenities at the property to make your stay beyond comfortable and entertaining.
The location was excellent for its access to New River Gorge’s most prominent features while also being near facilities around town.
The hot tub, fire pit, and games were wonderful ways to wind down and accentuate the peaceful mountain getaway mood. The kitchen, bathroom, and living spaces were clean and tidy and included everything needed.
Tony made sure the stay went smoothly from check in through departure, reaching out with useful information and making sure our vacation was going well. I’d happily choose the property again thanks to the host, amenities, and wonderful location.

Some cosmetic damange but overall it was an enjoyable stay. The fire pit area was very peaceful! I enjoyed the hot tub but it does have ALOT of chemical in it so I wasn’t able to stay in very long. The beds and livingroom were comfortable to be in. The dishes weren’t very clean in the cabinets but they had everything already there to clean them up better. It’s a very affordable place to stay if you want the homey experience and not a hotel room. If we are ever in the area again I will be sure to rent from Tony again. Overall great stay for price 🥳

Cute little house very close to the national park and historic downtown. The hottub was great after the tough hikes. It is in a dense little neighborhood and not ultra private, but the hedges help. The house was very lovely and comfortable.

Tony was a great host. The place was very clean, had nice dishes, kitchen accessories and the hot tub was nice.
The description states that the location is “in the woods” which maybe it technically is. However, it is in a very dense neighborhood. Very little trees around property. Something worth noting if looking for a more secluded place.
Overall, very happy with our stay.

The police was conveniently located in Oak Hill, West Virginia.
It’s nearby new River Gorge and Hess state parks, which are too exotic place and worth your visit. The experience was very gratifying.
Tony was Amazing, he responded as quick as possible to every concern of mine.

Loved our overnight stay here. This was a pit stop on the way down south and it was beautiful! Peaceful neighborhood, mountains in the background and a lovely hot tub for relaxing. Would stay here again! Close to local shops, cafes and white water rafting.

Tony’s place was beautiful! It was the perfect place to stay after a day of hiking in the New River Gorge. There are bushes in front of the house to give you privacy while relaxing in the hot tub. The house itself was spotless. I would definitely stay here again!

Overall the stay was nice. I’d say if you’re visiting New River Gorge national park that this is a convenient option. A couple things to note- while the listing says it’s a dog friendly option, the neighbors leave their dogs unleashed outside and they howl, bark, and even ran after our leashed dogs on a run of the mill morning walk. If you’re a dog owner, this is definitely important info to have before booking. The neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy, but the home was fine for what we were looking for.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tony’s cottage. Very clean and it had everything we needed. Excellent location if you are going to the New River Gorge. We had an incident with the keys of the cottage and they stepped in to help us right away so we could continue enjoying our vacation.

Tony is a perfect host. He responded quickly after my last minute/same day reservation, providing all the info I needed for an easy check in. The amenities were as described. My only suggestions to future guests, not as a negative, just good to know are that the mattresses are VERY firm and the hot tub has a high level of chlorine. My navy blue tank top and ankle bracelet are both now bleached a spring pink/maroon color, haha! Like I said, neither are a bad thing, just a friendly mention so you know to be prepared 🙂

My partner, dog and I stayed for a couple of nights. Came for the new river gorge. Oak hill area is very quaint, not much to do, but our intention was the lay low and relax. Think overall, the stay was just fine but it’s fairly expensive given size and location. We would look in Fayetteville when we come back in the future but appreciated the space, nonetheless!

Me and my husband loved staying at Tony’s airBnB in Oak Hill WV! We came to check out NRG NP and to do some rafting which was a blast, and ended up LOVING Fayetteville WV. The food was amazing, everyone we met was so friendly and welcoming. Tony’s place is in a great location, within a 10 minute drive of tons of restaurants and trail heads if your into hiking. Tony’s place was a great little home to come back to after a full day of exploring. The neighborhood is very quiet and relaxing.

Negative:
The property charges $90 for cleaning fee, yet they demand you wash your dishes, take out the trash and arrange the furniture if moved. The guest ends up doing the things paid for by the cleaning fee or “gauging fee.”

Great cozy place near New River Gorge! Tony was communicative and helpful, though we didn’t need to communicate because the instructions and house guide were very thorough. The hot tub was great. I can imagine that it would be even better in the winter time! We took Tony’s trail hike recommendation and we were not disappointed. Great value, cozy home with plenty of amenities, and close to New River Gorge for hiking and outdoors activities.

Overall the place is OK, but would surely benefit from some updating. The biggest issue was the broken BBQ grill. It turned out to be a known problem (and even reported in one of the reviews), but the owner did not bother to inform us about it, making us to discover it as an unexpected and unpleasant surprise.

Truthfully Tony is a great host, it’s just the place needs to be seriously updated. The door was busted in to the point that we couldn’t lock the second lock, the grill was broken which was a big let down, because we chose this place for that reason, the hot tub only worked on occasion, the doors didn’t shut, the information in the books were extremely outdated, and the dishwasher was leaking and broken. I did however appreciate him shipping me an item I had left behind even though I had to pay for it to be shipped.

We had an amazing stay! Would love to come back & stay again the hit tub was amazing !!

Upon arrival we noticed the front door looked as if it had been broken into previously. Later we pulled out the couch mattress to find what appeared to be mice droppings on it…we then checked the beds to find hair (human/animal), and yellow staining on the twin sheets. That left four of us sharing a queen mattress in the living room floor on sheets/pillow cases we washed ourselves. Various windows would not lock. There was a bag of trash left in the laundry room from the previous guests. These experiences made our night stay miserable, while trying to celebrate the birthday of a friend. It had also snowed so we could not leave. It was clear the home/bedding had not been cleaned and the beds had quickly been remade with the sheets from the previous guests. We immediately contacted Tony with these issues with no care on his end, nor a resolution. We are currently waiting on him to contact us. Would not recommend this Airbnb, although we were initially excited. Photos also deceiving.

Tony was a great host. The place was very clean, had nice dishes, kitchen accessories and the hot tub was nice.
The description states that the location is “in the woods” which maybe it technically is. However, it is in a very dense neighborhood. Very little trees around property. Something worth noting if looking for a more secluded place.
Overall, very happy with our stay.

The police was conveniently located in Oak Hill, West Virginia.
It’s nearby new River Gorge and Hess state parks, which are too exotic place and worth your visit. The experience was very gratifying.
Tony was Amazing, he responded as quick as possible to every concern of mine.
Thank you Tony and looking forward to revisit.

Had a great stay at this Airbnb! The fire pit was perfect for cozy evenings, and the hot tub was a great way to relax under the stars. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

Loved our overnight stay here. This was a pit stop on the way down south and it was beautiful! Peaceful neighborhood, mountains in the background and a lovely hot tub for relaxing. Would stay here again! Close to local shops, cafes and white water rafting.

Tony’s place was beautiful! It was the perfect place to stay after a day of hiking in the New River Gorge. There are bushes in front of the house to give you privacy while relaxing in the hot tub. The house itself was spotless. I would definitely stay here again!

Overall the stay was nice. I'd say if you're visiting New River Gorge national park that this is a convenient option. A couple things to note- while the listing says it's a dog friendly option, the neighbors leave their dogs unleashed outside and they howl, bark, and even ran after our leashed dogs on a run of the mill morning walk. If you're a dog owner, this is definitely important info to have before booking. The neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy, but the home was fine for what we were looking for.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tony’s cottage. Very clean and it had everything we needed. Excellent location if you are going to the New River Gorge. We had an incident with the keys of the cottage and they stepped in to help us right away so we could continue enjoying our vacation.

Tony’s place was the perfect location for my gym friends and I to stay at. We ran the Spartan Race close by and really enjoyed the hot tub at night for our sore muscles. Tony was a great host and wonderful with recommendations and communication!

Tony’s place was Amazing!
We only stayed 1 night and wish we could have stayed longer. The place was clean and very comfortable. Kid friendly. Tony was a very responsive host and easy to communicate with.
We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

BEWARE! THIS HOME NOT AS LISTED! The pictures and description were inaccurate. The home had a TERRIBLE moldy smell. My friends and I, after traveling for 10+ hours did not stay, for even one night. We walked in and immediately left and had to scramble to find other accommodations at the last minute. Cleaning crew (who were smoking) was leaving as we arrived, at check in time. The owner sent instructions to drive slowly as to not kick up dust, but the road was a blacktop. He clearly did not know the house or neighborhood. When I reached out to ask the owner if he had been there, he did not respond. The neighborhood was hit or miss, we would not have felt comfortable using the outside amenities . The New River Gorge National Park is spectacular, but Fayetteville and Oak Hill are not much of a town.

Tony is by far one of the best hosts for communication. The house is the perfect location to visit New River Gorge and surrounding state parks. It was also nice that it had added extras such as body wash, kids soap (non-toxic), and shampoo. Highly recommend and thank you for hosting us!

What a great place! We had a wonderful time in the hot tub and at the fire pit. The kitchen was well stocked and we made wonderful meals. very cute, homey place. super comfy. Would definitely come back!

When you book the room, they don't give you the lock number to get inside until you go on their website and agree to their rules under penalty of a fine. the rules on their website are not listed in the aid bnb post, and there is a no refund policy. And you better take a seat to read over the full 10 pages of rules they have listed. Even though the Air BNB post says you're allowed pets, you better not bring one unless you keep it in a crate at all times and never leave it unsupervised. These are just a sample of the additional rules listed. In my opinion, what the host is doing is a scumbag move, and he should be banned from AirBNB.

Tony is a perfect host. He responded quickly after my last minute/same day reservation, providing all the info I needed for an easy check in. The amenities were as described. My only suggestions to future guests, not as a negative, just good to know are that the mattresses are VERY firm and the hot tub has a high level of chlorine. My navy blue tank top and ankle bracelet are both now bleached a spring pink/maroon color, haha! Like I said, neither are a bad thing, just a friendly mention so you know to be prepared 🙂

Absolutely nothing. I was ripped off by the host. I booked the house and informed the host about arriving between midnight and 1am. The host sent me a faulty link that wouldn’t give me any check in information. One I tried contacting the host upon arrival I called over 20 times with no answer, emailed and texted and didn’t receive a response. So I had to spend double the money and go get hotel rooms.

The host was very rude and I didn’t like the way she handled business

My partner, dog and I stayed for a couple of nights. Came for the new river gorge. Oak hill area is very quaint, not much to do, but our intention was the lay low and relax. Think overall, the stay was just fine but it's fairly expensive given size and location. We would look in Fayetteville when we come back in the future but appreciated the space, nonetheless!

Our stay at this Airbnb was quite disappointing. The bathroom lock was not working, which was a major inconvenience for privacy. Additionally, there was no hot water, making our showers uncomfortable. The mattresses in the bedrooms were extremely uncomfortable and left us with backaches. Overall, it was not a pleasant stay.

The place was clean and located in a relatively quiet area. It had many amenities, such as the hot tub and fire pit, that we greatly enjoyed! We wanted a place for a quiet weekend getaway and this cottage definitely served that purpose. Would definitely recommend!

Me and my husband loved staying at Tony’s airBnB in Oak Hill WV! We came to check out NRG NP and to do some rafting which was a blast, and ended up LOVING Fayetteville WV. The food was amazing, everyone we met was so friendly and welcoming. Tony’s place is in a great location, within a 10 minute drive of tons of restaurants and trail heads if your into hiking. Tony’s place was a great little home to come back to after a full day of exploring. The neighborhood is very quiet and relaxing.

House described as cottage in the woods but actually it is a small house in a residential neighborhood with neighbors super close. It was nicely decorated but dirty. Bathroom was filthy. There was hair in the floor, mildew on shower tiles, stuff splashed on walls/baseboards… just grimy.
We had 4 towels for 4 guests for 2 days to use for shower & hot tub. Requested more towels, housekeeper brought them the night before leaving at 7pm. Paid $90 cleaning fee but owner texted & said to take trash out of all cans & take to curb, wash all dishes & gather up dirty towels. Would not stay here again. Dirty & overpriced!

Fairly easy to find and closely located to town. Comfortable and convenient.
Negative:
The property charges $90 for cleaning fee, yet they demand you wash your dishes, take out the trash and arrange the furniture if moved. The guest ends up doing the things paid for by the cleaning fee or “gauging fee.”

Booked this stay for 2 nights. The pics were a little deceiving. The angles in which they took the pics...showed a peaceful-like place. However, I cld barely find it in a fairly rough neighborhood, so I had to ask a neighbor for help, was very surprised when I pulled up. There were kids out everywhere n the street, random people walking around by the driveway, music playing outside somewhere, and I stepped out onto the front porch and the neighbors were standing RIGHT THERE! I cldve reached out and touched them. The hot tub is right off the front porch...so there is no privacy, not that we cldve used it anyway considering the dirty film hovered up in the center where it was obviously not cleaned in a minute. The only other thing I wanted to do was chill by a fire...and the grass was too high for that and we did not find any wood...like it said we cld purchase. I asked for a refund to go elsewhere, but was offered a partial refund and to send someone out to clean the hot tub.

Great cozy place near New River Gorge! Tony was communicative and helpful, though we didn’t need to communicate because the instructions and house guide were very thorough. The hot tub was great. I can imagine that it would be even better in the winter time! We took Tony’s trail hike recommendation and we were not disappointed. Great value, cozy home with plenty of amenities, and close to New River Gorge for hiking and outdoors activities.
