We had a great stay! The cabin was perfect. They had thought of everything guests may need. My kiddos loved playing records and learning chess, all provided for our use. The large screened porch was wonderful, and we enjoyed s’mores in the firepit. Location was great for exploring Shenandoah. New Market is a cute town very close to the cabin.

This place was perfect for our spring break vacation. We enjoyed going to the Luray caverns and to the Jon Henry General Store, which was in close vicinity to the cabin. Some other hidden gems near the cabin we enjoyed were Packs frozen custard and Jackson’s Corner Coffee and Roastery! The cabin itself was very nice and well decorated. We loved the town and the mountains were perfect.

Absolutely loved my stay at this home! I spent the weekend here with my boyfriend to relax and go hiking in Shenandoah and it was the perfect location for us. The home was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay like basic kitchen and bathroom needs. The indoor and outdoor fireplace was also a huge plus for me!

We came to the cabin after attending a wedding in Charlottesville. It was a great place to experience Shenandoah, and we had a wonderful and relaxing time. Highlights included the amazing fire pit, peacefulness of the surroundings, and probably the best grill set up I’ve ever used at an AirBnB. Also, the record player and eclectic selection of records was a nice touch!

Needed to get out of DC so we took the kids for just one night and could have stayed the week. Don’t know much about the area (it was winter) although spring/fall in Shenandoah is a lifetime must-do. The house was fantastic with a great fireplace and comfortable furniture. In summer we would have take major advantage of the screened in porch and fire pit. Friendly hosts, super responsive. Our first time on AirBnB and it was excellent.

We’ve stayed at this cabin many times and love it. The decorations, sunset views, quiet, comfortable beds, fire pit, and privacy are outstanding. There is also a lot to do within 25 minutes (Harrisonburg and its many appealing features, Luray and its theater/record store/shops, the hikes and outdoor activities). Farther afield (30-45 minutes) are Shenandoah NP and Massanutten Mountain Resort.
This was our first time staying at the cabin since management was taken over by Blue Maple, and they’re providing a great, if somewhat more generic, experience. But the cabin is still the cabin and we loved our stay. Tony was very communicative throughout the trip. Can’t wait until our next stay here!

We had a great time at the Chalet. Exactly as pictured, well stocked, and thoughtfully furnished. We had 4 adults and 2 dogs, and never felt cramped. What a great little cabin in the woods! Check-in was a bit difficult and I didn’t love receiving messages from a 3rd party outside of airbnb. You must sign in with a different rental company to receive the house manual, unless you actually ask for it. We have rented many houses through the years on airbnb with great experiences, but not so happy with this 3rd party situation. House manual, including check in details, recommendations for the area, check-out, etc should be provided on Airbnb and without having to ask.
BUT, we loved this house for many reasons..the setting, the outdoor spaces, and everything you need is provided. So if not for this 3rd party situation I would have given 5 stars without a doubt!

The cabin was exactly as it looks in the photos. Clear instructions came the afternoon of arrival, and we were able to get in easily. The cabin had plenty of supplies but was not cluttered or crowded with stuff. The Luray Caverns are about 30 minutes away and two of the four entrances to Skyline Drive are an hour away. It was a great spot to relax, play games, have slow mornings, and home base for our time in Shenandoah NP.

This place isn’t a cabin, it’s a little mid-century hideaway. The decor is quirky and hip, the layout is awesome, and somehow they have fiber internet? Crazy. I slept like a log on the bed, the shower was hot, the instructions and communication were great.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The cabin was cute, peaceful, and served our needs. We loved using the fire pit and how dark and peaceful it was at night.
We did not give a 5 star for the following:
We knew that water pressure may wax and want based on the description. But we actually lost all water frequently throughout our stay. We were in the shower and would be without water after lathered up, etc.
Also, there were inconsistencies with the instructions provided. We were first told wood was provided. Then the house manual sent to us the day prior to checkin said to bring wood. So we pivoted and found wood, then arrived to see a few bundles waiting on us.
The house manual said to bring all ingredients needed to make a meal. But we arrived and there were plenty of spices, Ingredients, etc.
Then we were asked to do certain things before leaving, however the text we received later gave us different checkout instructions.
I would stay again but felt it necessary to share.

Had a great stay! Place was as described. There is a house right next door, just an fyi for anyone wanting something completely private which was what I was looking for. It wasn’t an issue, but something to note! Was extremely happy with the place. The water pressure is a bit hit and miss but expected being remote… requested a late check out but was denied due to the possibility of a reservation even though there wasn’t one booked for the next night. I get it but would have been nice to stay an hour or so longer. 10am is early! All in all it was a great place to relax and recharge.

My daughter and I absolutely loved the cabin. It was just liked the pics showed super clean and it was absolutely peaceful. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend if your wanting to get away and have some peace and quit. Plus still enough things to do. Everything we wanted or needed was no more then 15-20 mins away. We will be back again for sure. Rooms also were extremely cozy and beds so comfortable

We spent a long weekend hiking Shenandoah National Park, and Tony's place was a perfect home away from home. Love the covered deck and the walk down to the fire pit.

Rent this place and write the next great American novel.

We had a wonderful time at Tony’s cabin! It was decorated so cute and cozy, with such a warm, welcoming vibe. We spent most of our time relaxing in the spacious screened-in porch—absolutely perfect. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and waking up to the sounds of all the different bird calls was such a peaceful treat. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

There was a lot to love about this home. The furniture and decor were really nice and homey. The location is very secluded and quiet (except for the birds singing!). The porch was our favorite place to be, it was so nice enjoying the outdoors without the bugs.
A lovely place for a small group that is looking to get away for a quiet vacation. (Be prepared to kill spiders, ticks, cockroaches and mosquitos!)

The Home
Cool mountain air drifts through the trees as you step onto a quiet woodland path, the scent of pine and fresh earth all around you. Mornings begin slowly with coffee on the screened-in porch, birdsong echoing through the forest. As evening settles in, gather by the fire pit under a sky full of stars or retreat indoors to the warmth of a crackling fireplace.
The space
Set on over three private acres in the Shenandoah Valley, this cabin offers a balance of seclusion and comfort, just a short drive from Washington, D.C. Inside, thoughtful details create a welcoming atmosphere - from the Chesterfield sofa in the living room to shelves lined with books, puzzles, and a curated vinyl record collection. There’s no television, inviting you to unwind in other ways, whether that’s music, conversation, or a quiet evening by the fire.
Central air conditioning and heating keep the space comfortable through shifting spring temperatures, while the indoor fireplace adds warmth on cooler nights. A washer and dryer are available for longer stays, along with clothing storage and everyday essentials.
Sleeping arrangements
Bedroom 1 - Queen Size Bed (main level)
Bedroom 2 - Two Full Size Beds (main level)
The cabin accommodates up to 4 guests and also includes a Pack & Play for families traveling with young children. One full bathroom is stocked with bathroom essentials.
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is fully equipped, offering everything needed to prepare meals during your stay. Enjoy breakfast at the dining table or take your coffee outside as soft spring light filters through the trees. A coffee maker and hot water kettle make it easy to start your day at your own pace.
Outdoor living
Two porches extend your living space into the surrounding forest, including a large screened-in porch with areas for dining and lounging. A fire pit with Adirondack chairs invites long conversations into the evening, while the BBQ grill is ready for outdoor cooking. The setting is natural and peaceful, with wildlife often passing through.
Free parking is available on the premises.
Connectivity & comfort
Wifi is available throughout the cabin, making it possible to stay connected or work remotely if needed. Board games, a turntable, and a selection of records offer simple ways to spend time indoors.
The area
Located near New Market, you’ll be within easy driving distance of Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns, and a variety of local attractions including vineyards, farmers markets, and historic sites. A guide to nearby spots and experiences is shared prior to your stay to help you explore at your own pace.
A mile-long gravel road leads to the cabin, adding to the sense of seclusion. Wildlife, seasonal pollen, and changing outdoor conditions are part of the natural setting, and water is supplied by a well, so pressure may vary.
Pet-Friendly
Bring your furry friends! We love hosting families and well-behaved dogs! For allergy and maintenance reasons, we’re unfortunately unable to host cats.
Other things to note:.
Any vehicle will be able to get up the mile-long gravel mountain road, but take extra care with cars that are very low to the ground. Please note that the speed limit in our community is 15 mph, as the road is narrow at times.
If snow is predicted, 4WD is recommended. The road may not be plowed unless there is heavy (4"+) snow
We get our share of wildlife and other woodland creatures on property — this is very much a cabin, and modern-rustic is the vibe.
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
We are on a well, so water pressure will fluctuate.
There's no television, but you won't miss it.
There *is* central A/C and heat, a supply of firewood, and a feeling of seclusion from neighboring cabins.
It’s the best of all worlds: an amazing Shenandoah Valley location, the feeling that you're getting away completely, and an aesthetic you'll want to take home with you.
