This place was perfect for getting away from the rest of society! It was so peaceful, quiet, and had everything we needed. We arrived while it was raining and it was absolutely necessary to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up the dirt hill to the place in the rain. A two-wheel drive vehicle with higher clearance might have been okay, but some of the ridges in the dirt road would’ve been challenging with a smaller vehicle. Tony was super responsive during our stay and provided nice recommendations. Overall, great stay! We’ll certainly look to return here in the future.

The cabin is cute and has a comfy atmosphere. Hot tub was my big hit. Lots of restaurants and shopping within a hour ride. We had visitors that were around in the early morning s but they didn’t bother anyone. Will rent again.

Tony was a wonderful host and very responsive. Some parts of home could have used some more cleaning (some dust collection and baseboards) but overall good and quaint stay. Beautiful & quiet location. Loved the hot tub (very clean and well maintained), fire pit and hammock. Check out time is a tad earlier than most Airbnb’s (10am), doesn’t give much time for waking, eating & gathering the family prior to leaving. 11 or 12 would have been nice but that is an additional fee. However, we paid early check in and it was very affordable. Overall nice stay!

This was a lovely woodland spot that felt like a nature get away. Our GPS didn’t take us there and we’re glad to have had our big SUV with good clearance on the road. Check in took a little time because to get our code we had a hard time finding the virtual manual that was only available through the companies private domain. We slept well and the home was well stocked and inviting.

Tony’s place is private and peaceful. As the description points out a 4 wheel drive is recommended to get the last mile or so. The public river access is a drive away as opposed to short walk as there is a lot of private property signs.

This cabin was PERFECT. Exactly as described. Very cozy, private, clean. Bed very comfy. It had all the cookware we needed. The hottub was very nice. The hill was steep but we had no issue getting our Honda civic up there. Not many restaurants open but we didn’t mind. Just call 1st to see if they are open. Tony was great. Very responsive and friendly, the best host I’ve ever seen! He went above and beyond. Would recommend 10/10! Thank you Tony!

The house was peaceful and secluded, exactly as advertised. The hot tub kept us cozy. It was hard for us to find places to eat (needed reservations, closed ECT) so I would recommend making plans ahead for food.

Tony’s place is amazing! So serene and peaceful. We got a bit lost – but we had a very late arrival, so it’s understandable. He was incredibly helpful and responsive. We will absolutely be back. The hot tub, porch, and fireplace made it extra cozy.
Berkeley Springs was a very cute town full of nice boutiques and beautiful views. The people are so friendly, we felt right at home. If you want a relaxing stay away from the world – stay here!!

I booked this cabin for myself after my masters finals to escape reality for a couple days & brought my 2 dogs that love the outdoors but we live in an apartment in the city.
It was secluded & gorgeous as advertised & exactly what I needed to reset. I do wish I would’ve read in the manual that they didn’t provide firewood but there were plenty of sticks & thicker pieces of wood around the house to use. They had head lamps & lighters which I had forgotten & the hot tub was perfect! There was a switch for the outside lights & as soon as I turned them off, I could see so many stars that I can’t see in the city. My dogs absolutely loved the woods & there was a dog bed in the living room which made me feel welcome. It was clean to the best that a cabin in the woods can be & had almost anything you could’ve needed. The host was very responsive, almost to a fault, since I was only there 2 nights & received multiple messages asking how my time was or reminders, but overall 10/10 experience!

Stayed for a long weekend to recharge. Beautiful setting up the mountain on a wooded lot. Neighbors are far enough away to make it feel secluded. Hot tub was clean and ready when we arrived. Beds were comfortable and the house was well stocked. The house was warm and comfortable and the wood burning stove was easy to use. The views and overlooks from the cabin to Berkeley Springs are wonderful and it’s an easy drive into town. Tony reached out with recommendations and answered any questions promptly. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy retreat in the woods.

Easy 5 stars! Our short stay at the cabin was cozy and peaceful, the place was clean and well stocked with the supplies promised in the listing. The instructions were easy to understand and follow, and they even had the hot tub on and ready for us when we arrived! The lane/driveway is steep but our little old front wheel drive Ford made it fine.
Overall far too short of a stay, we want to come back when we have time to stay longer and explore the area!

Loved the remoteness of Tony’s place. Was great to watch the sun go down through the trees while sitting around the campfire. Caught a few fish in the Cacapon River nearby and had easy access to Berkeley Springs. Great weekend!

This cabin was just beautiful and perfect for our little long weekend getaway. Tony was great at communicating before and even during our stay. The place was not too far from the town of Berkeley Springs but also just far enough out to feel secluded and private. Overall, would recommend this place and would love to come back!!

Overall a great weekend with some friends. It rained a bit and we were cozy right through it all. We hiked, used the hot tub, cooked. We did bring a few nicer pans but they did have a nice kitchen supply. The outside covered deck could definitely be cleaned a bit. I didn’t feel comfortable hanging out with spider webs and dust. I was hoping to do some yoga out there and that was unrealistic although they warned about this in the description.

We loved the cabin. We went for our 5 year anniversary trip and it was nothing less than special for us. The hottub, rocking chairs on the deck, and Firepit were great features that we took full advantage of. We drove up in our honda accord and it was really tricky to get up the dirt hill, but we did it. With that being said we stocked up on everything we needed, and only left a couple of times. The woods are so deep and beautiful, very spooky at night though. All in all, the cabin was clean, comfortable, and worth it. 🙂

Tony easily the best host I’ve had from AirBnB. Quick responses very flexible with my schedule and made us feel very welcomed. The cabin was well maintained, clean, and very very quiet which is what we were looking for coming from the city. The stars on a clear night were magical and the stillness in the air made our drive worth it. Very easy to find if you follow directions well. We loved our stay so much that we extended our stay with no issues at all. Couldn’t have asked for a better escape weekend. Place is very secluded, which is what we were looking for. The perk was being able to bring our dog with us, but unfortunately wasnt able to take full advantage due to neighbors large shepherd roaming our property without a collar and unsure how theyd react if together.
The place is nice, but could use some work to help match the pictures online. Lots of bugs were smashed on the walls, assuming from previous visitors and the kayaks should be moved to allow for more views from the patio. Little things that could be done to make it more enjoyable.
Overall its a great place to get away for a few days and away from the big city life.

This was one of my best AirBnB experiences, hands down. Incredible remote location, hot tub, nearby hikes, clean and comfy. Internet was great and you could stream through the Roku on their TV. Bring firewood for the indoor wood burning stove and outdoor fire pit (also lighters and starters). Hot tub was incredible. Bring a book and Prosecco bc you’re just going to want to soak forever while you look up at the stars.
Tony and his coworkers were extremely responsive, friendly, and helpful.
Highly recommend a massage and soak at the hot springs in Berkeley springs. Book early.
My little 2WD hatchback did okay on the dirt inclined roads leading up to the house, but if it had been muddy or snowy I don’t know how successful I would have been.
Oh, download the maps before you go. I lost all cell service with about 15-20 still to drive and would have been clueless without downloaded maps. And stop by the Food Lion on your way in and pick up coffee.

We had a very nice stay at Tony’s place. The location was wonderful and we really enjoyed using the wood burning stove. The communication was a bit lacking. It’s clear that Tony manages a number of properties and relies on automated messages to communicate reminders or other information about the stay , which were helpful. However, when I sent specific messages before and during the stay, those were not responded to.
Overall, we had a lovely and relaxing stay.

We loved our stay at Tony’s Cabin! It was secluded and not a bad drive into neighboring towns.
Tony was very responsive. When we arrived, the porch door was wide open, and we walked into the living room a mess-the sofa bed was pulled apart and very broken, cushions on the floor, table moved. Also not very clean. Based on prior reviews, I’m confident the cleaning crew had an off day, and I can’t hold that against Tony! It took about a half hour to finagle the sofa bed back together enough to sit on.
We were disappointed that the screened in porch was filled with things; the kayaks are in there as well as seemingly random items and all of the outdoor games previous renters raved about were scattered all over. I couldn’t tell what was what for games. Definitely not a usable space. Again, I’m confident the cleaning crew was not doing their part.
The views, the fire pit (once the burn ban lifted), and the hot tub were amazing! Overall a wonderful stay, minus checking in!

Had a wonderful stay at the cabin! Nicely secluded, make sure your car is good to drive up hilly dirt roads. There’s a great selection of board games, kayaks (bring a rack on your car), a dvd/blu-ray player, some movies… basically everything you need for a fun wifi-less weekend away. Tony gives great recs for nearby hikes, breweries, etc. Definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved staying at this Cabin. The location was fantastic, and there was everything you needed and wanted for a weekend of seclusion in the woods. The price was very reasonable for the amount of space you get and things to do on the property. Having a landline phone definitely made me feel safer as we got no cell phone reception. We were very comfortable the entire stay and our dog loved it too. We would come back for another weekend anytime.

A very quiet and peaceful location in the mountains outside of Berkeley Springs, WV. The cabin was clean and came supplied with kitchen equipment and clean sheets and towels. I loved relaxing in the hot tub and by the fire pit at night. Kayaks and life jackets were also provided for use on the nearby river. The host was very welcoming and responsive to messages leading up to my stay at the cabin.
Negative:
Minimal to no cell service in the area, so I would have liked to have Wi-Fi available in the cabin. The local roads to the cabin were in fair/poor condition. Note: both of these issues were disclosed to me by the host prior to my stay.

Great place to spend time with your family. There was no Internet, but it was a nice bonus. Peaceful and enjoyable time with the children. Mistakenly booking something with no wifi & cell coverage ended up being a blessing in disguise. House was clean. Location was great. Hot tub was amazing. But, the experience would have been much better had they provided some basic info. Iv’e never stayed in a remote AIRBNB in which the host didn’t provide some basic info. A binder w/ some good local hikes or places to visit would have saved me a lot of time. No internet connection makes researching the area impossible. The place is managed by another company. I had to fill out a questionnaire and was expected to download a manual. The problem was I couldn’t open the manual w/out the internet. I book through AIRBNB cause the app makes things easier. Adding another party confuses things. TBH if I knew I would be dealing w/ a mngmt company, I would have passed.

Tony’s place was very remote and peaceful. My husband an I enjoyed our disconnected weekend in the woods. The cabin is the last on the dirt road and feels very secluded. I enjoyed being able to use the wood stove and hot tub. I was very happy the hot tub was clean! Over all the house is as pictured.

A solid cabin that comfortably fits 4 adults, with a well stocked kitchen, in a very peaceful and private location. We enjoyed the indoor wood burning stove as it was a bit chilly to be outside around the fire pit (having both options was great). The hot tub was relaxing and seemed like new. Decor was fitting for a cabin and beds were comfy! The whole neighborhood seems to not have any cell signal, though there is a device in the house that helps amplify signal to at least get urgent messages in/out. The hot tub is not very close to the door so would recommend taking that into account in packing. It’s also worth flagging to others that this place has surprisingly late check in and early check out as it’s standard times, so you may end up paying more than expected if you want to upgrade to check out times you typically see at other Airbnbs.

Absolutely loved the time we spent here. It was short and last minute put together. But we will 100% be back. The cell service SUCKS and it’s pretty awesome. I know shocker!?!? But I loved spending time with my family without worrying about that tiny little device. We didn’t even leave the cabin, they games they had were so much fun! All appliances to cook. Beds were like clouds, everything felt like home. Only thing I wish we had more of was towels lol. 6 of us and 4 towels was not fun. Thank you to opening and sharing your beautiful cabin

If you’re looking to unplug, this is the place. No internet or cellphones. But, it’d be good to make any reservations beforehand (e.g. rafting or kayaking) and have a paper map or download offline maps. I would be mindful of the season you go depending on your tires/vehicle. This is a place that’s located in the mountains and surrounded by woods. Which means, you also gotta be cool with bugs when you’re outside. It was a great last minute get-away!

Tony’s house was a great retreat to disconnect and have some quiet time together. They had a great selection of games and movies, not to mention an amazing sunset view from the porch. The hot tub was lovely, and the town of Berkeley Springs is definitely worth a visit.

Great cabin in the backwoods of WV complete with a hot tub. Place was a bit difficult to find especially at night and w/o cell service but wood fireplace was a nice touch and bed was comfy. Took about 20-25 min to get into town from the cabin which is not the most convenient but expected when you rent a place in the woods!

Came for a weekend away from the city, and was able to enjoy the peaceful and quiet environment in the comfortable cabin. The hot tub and nice big firepit were great amenities we used a lot during our quick stay. Also Tony’s communication and responsiveness were above and beyond!

This is a great little getaway spot. If you’re looking to disconnect (literally—no internet or service) this is a great option. If you’re trying to stay closer to Berkeley Springs specifically and not tied to outdoor/forest experience, I’d recommend checking Tony’s other postings instead. As a host: Tony is amazing and I would definitely book with him again!
Some suggestions if you book this spot:
-bring extra towels if you plan to use the hot tub
-there were limited “kitchen essentials” for cooking. Bring your own spices, foil, plastic wrap, etc. as they are not supplied. Salt, pepper, oil were provided (and I left behind some garlic powder for the next person 🙂
-I would say all-wheel drive / 4-wheel drive is a nonnegotiable. I can’t see a front-wheel drive vehicle making it up the mountain, especially with any chance of rain.
-the closest grocery store is a small store 20 minutes away, so I’d recommend buying any groceries beforehand, or do better planning ahead.

The cabin was great. We loved all the extras that were available and wished we had more time to use them all. This is a great cabin for summer time! The outdoor games he supplied are worth coming back again in the spring/summer months! I loved the no Wi-Fi and the hot tub! I’m sure we will rent again in the future for some outdoor fun and kayaking!

Loved this spot super remote and peaceful!! House was very clean and the host was extremely helpful and fast to respond! Loved the hot tub! The beds were super comfy! Overall incredible!
One thing that I think should be made clear is that the house is at the end of the road on the left maps does not make that clear and we arrived at night and in snow was a bit tricky to find.

An amazing, peaceful, relaxing home. Absolutely loved the wood burning stove, hot tub, and open space. There’s lots to do in the area but we spent the whole time at the house — it was so comfortable. We played cards, watched movies, and took our pups for long sniffy walks. Would love to return!

My 2 cousins,3dogs,and I stayed at Tony’s for 3days 2nights and we loved it. At first we were really scared that we would not be able to survive lol because there was no cell service, but it was actually really peaceful and comfortable, we were still able to keep in touch with Tony and our immediate family and friends as in some areas of the cabin there is very little service, the hot spot was also very helpful. Tony was a great host, he was very accommodating and replies to my messages in less than 10 minutes. The cabin was clean and had most of the stuff we needed, we just needed a pan/skillet which we could not find there. The hot tub was also very relaxing, it was just in an inconvenient location as we had to run to the entrance after being in it, and it was really cold. Other than that everything was good. We cant really recommend any place to go anywhere as we didn’t want to go out lol. They had a good selection of movies but we also recommend downloading your own and bring hdmi.

Enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and cozy, with lots of helpful items especially for cooking. No wifi but we wanted to disconnect for a few days so that worked for us. Landline phone available for emergencies which was nice. Hot tub was so relaxing and clean, fire pit outside was cozy and fun to use (we made s’mores). We slept on the bottom bunk and the bed was actually more comfy than expected. Fresh towels, smelled really clean. Comfy couch and nostalgic DVDs. The closest town is about 20 mins away, the drive isn’t bad but some hills are steep up the mountain. Majestic pizza is a must- really really good pizza and they have lots of deals. Overall great stay, cabin was cute, could have used a light on the screen porch, extra towels for the hot tub, a knob to hang towels by the hot tub, and a shower liner to prevent curtain from sticking to you while inside and/or molding.

We loved our stay at Tony’s cabin, it was the perfect winter getaway to unwind and unplug! We had everything we needed and the added amenities such as the hot tub, fire pit, outdoor and indoor games, and movies were a great touch (exceptional movie selection). The kitchen was stocked with all the supplies we needed and Tony was super responsive the whole trip! No there isn’t WiFi BUT we loved having the chance to unplug and my phone (at&t) had service in some spots and a land line for emergencies! Our only note is that the gravel road/driveway up is pretty steep- no problems driving up or down and we loved taking the hike down to and along the river but just something to be mindful of! We will definitely be back!!

Cabin was perfect in the woods, spotty cell service which was great for me. I wanted to unplug. Plenty of space, screened porch with all kinds of games, kayaks and there is also an open porch, which we spent most of the time. Hot tub was nice, did have to walk around to it so might want your bathrobe. Kitchen had basic pots/pans, plates ect. As far as spices bring your own… also would bring foil or plastic wrap. No storage containers. All in all stay was great, nice and quiet…

This amazing cabin its the perfect place. Tony made sure to explain the manual, how to get there, restaurants nearby among other things. Although there’s no wifi, it is what makes the cabin more relaxing. If you need to get away from the city and the internet, this cabin is your best option. Furthermore there is a lot of stuff you can do once you are there; kayaking, taking a relaxing bath at Berkeley Springs, visiting the castle at Berkeley Springs, visiting the Great Cacapon State Park and more importantly taking advantage of the hot tub. Staying at Tony’s cabin was the best thing I did.

Such a lovely spot! We went in autumn during peak foliage and the woods were just magical. We really loved the hot tub and the porch overlooking the foliage. Tony provides a doc with everything you need to know about the spot, which was incredibly useful. Communication with Tony was incredibly responsive. Highly recommend this spot and Tony as a host!

The cabin was clean and incredibly cozy. I only stayed one evening, but would definitely come back for a longer vacation. The cabin is secluded and it felt like a personal piece of paradise. The host was very accommodating and communicative. A couple things to note: 1) cell service was non-existent (not a bad thing, just something to prepare for) and 2) you will need to use a different version of maps to enter the cabin’s address as maps on iPhone did not work for me. Would absolutely recommend staying here if you have the chance.

The road that leads to the drive in which the cabin is on is NOT safe for vehicles. Drive EXTREMELY careful up and down the road as vehicle damage will occur.
It took us 30 minutes to get to town to grab groceries. Even 30 minutes away from the cabin, we still did not have any form of cell service. Although what we were looking for was a getaway completely remote to reality, this was something we felt was too far away in case of an emergency.
The cabin and surrounding area are beautiful, peaceful, and great for re-energizing your soul!

This place was perfect for getting away from the rest of society! It was so peaceful, quiet, and had everything we needed. We arrived while it was raining and it was absolutely necessary to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up the dirt hill to the place in the rain. A two-wheel drive vehicle with higher clearance might have been okay, but some of the ridges in the dirt road would’ve been challenging with a smaller vehicle. Tony was super responsive during our stay and provided nice recommendations. Overall, great stay! We’ll certainly look to return here in the future.

Tony was a wonderful host and very responsive. Some parts of home could have used some more cleaning (some dust collection and baseboards) but overall good and quaint stay. Beautiful & quiet location. Loved the hot tub (very clean and well maintained), fire pit and hammock. Check out time is a tad earlier than most Airbnb’s (10am), doesn’t give much time for waking, eating & gathering the family prior to leaving. 11 or 12 would have been nice but that is an additional fee. However, we paid early check in and it was very affordable. Overall nice stay!

This was a lovely woodland spot that felt like a nature get away. Our GPS didn’t take us there and we’re glad to have had our big SUV with good clearance on the road. Check in took a little time because to get our code we had a hard time finding the virtual manual that was only available through the companies private domain. Tony’s place is private and peaceful. As the description points out a 4 wheel drive is recommended to get the last mile or so. The public river access is a drive away as opposed to short walk as there is a lot of private property signs.

This cabin was PERFECT. Exactly as described. Very cozy, private, clean. Bed very comfy. It had all the cookware we needed. The hottub was very nice. The hill was steep but we had no issue getting our Honda civic up there. Not many restaurants open but we didn't mind. Just call 1st to see if they are open. Tony was great. Very responsive and friendly, the best host I've ever seen! He went above and beyond. Would recommend 10/10! Thank you Tony!

Tony’s place is amazing! So serene and peaceful. We got a bit lost - but we had a very late arrival, so it’s understandable. He was incredibly helpful and responsive. We will absolutely be back. The hot tub, porch, and fireplace made it extra cozy.

I booked this cabin for myself after my masters finals to escape reality for a couple days & brought my 2 dogs that love the outdoors but we live in an apartment in the city.
It was secluded & gorgeous as advertised & exactly what I needed to reset. I do wish I would’ve read in the manual that they didn’t provide firewood but there were plenty of sticks & thicker pieces of wood around the house to use. They had head lamps & lighters which I had forgotten & the hot tub was perfect! There was a switch for the outside lights & as soon as I turned them off, I could see so many stars that I can’t see in the city. My dogs absolutely loved the woods & there was a dog bed in the living room which made me feel welcome. It was clean to the best that a cabin in the woods can be & had almost anything you could’ve needed. The host was very responsive, almost to a fault, since I was only there 2 nights & received multiple messages asking how my time was or reminders, but overall 10/10 experience!

Stayed for a long weekend to recharge. Beautiful setting up the mountain on a wooded lot. Neighbors are far enough away to make it feel secluded. Hot tub was clean and ready when we arrived. Beds were comfortable and the house was well stocked. The house was warm and comfortable and the wood burning stove was easy to use. The views and overlooks from the cabin to Berkeley Springs are wonderful and it’s an easy drive into town. Tony reached out with recommendations and answered any questions promptly. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy retreat in the woods.

Easy 5 stars! Our short stay at the cabin was cozy and peaceful, the place was clean and well stocked with the supplies promised in the listing. The instructions were easy to understand and follow, and they even had the hot tub on and ready for us when we arrived! The lane/driveway is steep but our little old front wheel drive Ford made it fine.
Overall far too short of a stay, we want to come back when we have time to stay longer and explore the area!

Overall a great weekend with some friends. It rained a bit and we were cozy right through it all. We hiked, used the hot tub, cooked. We did bring a few nicer pans but they did have a nice kitchen supply. The outside covered deck could definitely be cleaned a bit. I didn’t feel comfortable hanging out with spider webs and dust. I was hoping to do some yoga out there and that was unrealistic although they warned about this in the description.

We loved the cabin. We went for our 5 year anniversary trip and it was nothing less than special for us. The hottub, rocking chairs on the deck, and Firepit were great features that we took full advantage of. We drove up in our honda accord and it was really tricky to get up the dirt hill, but we did it. With that being said we stocked up on everything we needed, and only left a couple of times. The woods are so deep and beautiful, very spooky at night though. All in all, the cabin was clean, comfortable, and worth it. 🙂

All in all it was an alright trip. The trial up is ROUGH. I have an Acadia & it was still a bit much at times. we arrived to no ac on & a strange smell. Thankfully we had a new car air freshener to help some. The bunk room ac doesn’t work & was never fixed during our stay after telling Tony, the master started blowing warm air on 3 rd night. We have a baby so when shut the master br door. It shut the ac off to the bunk room then. cleaners could do a better job dusting cobs webs & BIG spiders off furniture on the screen in porch & deck area. We took our own lawn chairs & sat in them. I didn’t want my kids getting bit. Also the screened in porch has a screen broken out where my dogs kept escaping from. Then we got a bad storm on night two. The power went out from 10pm-4am. This cabin has a well meaning no power, no water either with 4 kids and 2 dogs it wasn’t an ideal situation. The flashlights provided also has no batteries. Fun right?! No. Spent more money than a beach front.

Tony was lovely & responsive.
Cabin needs maintenance. Beds, bathroom, and kitchen were very clean. The rest of the cabin was very dusty and cluttered. Hot tub awkward to get to but functional and relaxing. Neighbors have 2 German shepherds that are not leashed and would have been a problem with our small dog if we had been outside at the time. Owner was not kidding about the gravel road and needing 4 wheel drive! So be prepared for that. Area was peaceful and Berkeley Springs was an adorable town.

The photos do the place justice. Not at all what was expected. Screened in porched had screen broken, so pointless of screened in. Door to porch was opened when we arrived. Grill utensils were just laying out. porch looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. carpet in dinning room was ripped up, sink missing part of the cabinet in the bathroom. place was not dusted, things still on floor. bed had hair on the clean sheets and on the mattress cover. the shower had Cobb webs in the upper corners, qtip on the floor, sink drain wouldn't open once closed. lamp in bedroom broken, bug smashed on wall. walls looked like they were never cleaned. box of food in freezer. chairs at fire pit were broke and dirty. We heard gunshots a few times later at night. house is not as secluded as described as you can see the neighbors. throw blanket didn't smell clean. Soap and Shampoo are like what you have at home. we spent most of the time out of the house instead of there . very disappointed

Tony easily the best host I’ve had from AirBnB. Quick responses very flexible with my schedule and made us feel very welcomed. The cabin was well maintained, clean, and very very quiet which is what we were looking for coming from the city. The stars on a clear night were magical and the stillness in the air made our drive worth it. Very easy to find if you follow directions well. We loved our stay so much that we extended our stay with no issues at all. Couldn’t have asked for a better escape weekend. Place is very secluded, which is what we were looking for. The perk was being able to bring our dog with us, but unfortunately wasnt able to take full advantage due to neighbors large shepherd roaming our property without a collar and unsure how theyd react if together.
The place is nice, but could use some work to help match the pictures online. Lots of bugs were smashed on the walls, assuming from previous visitors and the kayaks should be moved to allow for more views from the patio. Little things that could be done to make it more enjoyable.
Overall its a great place to get away for a few days and away from the big city life.

Bring firewood for the indoor wood burning stove and outdoor fire pit (also lighters and starters). Hot tub was incredible. Bring a book and Prosecco bc you’re just going to want to soak forever while you look up at the stars.
Tony and his coworkers were extremely responsive, friendly, and helpful.
Highly recommend a massage and soak at the hot springs in Berkeley springs. Book early.
My little 2WD hatchback did okay on the dirt inclined roads leading up to the house, but if it had been muddy or snowy I don’t know how successful I would have been.
Oh, download the maps before you go. I lost all cell service with about 15-20 still to drive and would have been clueless without downloaded maps. And stop by the Food Lion on your way in and pick up coffee.

We had a very nice stay at Tony’s place. The location was wonderful and we really enjoyed using the wood burning stove. The communication was a bit lacking. It’s clear that Tony manages a number of properties and relies on automated messages to communicate reminders or other information about the stay , which were helpful. However, when I sent specific messages before and during the stay, those were not responded to.
Overall, we had a lovely and relaxing stay.

We loved our stay at Tony’s Cabin! It was secluded and not a bad drive into neighboring towns.
Tony was very responsive. When we arrived, the porch door was wide open, and we walked into the living room a mess-the sofa bed was pulled apart and very broken, cushions on the floor, table moved. Also not very clean. Based on prior reviews, I’m confident the cleaning crew had an off day, and I can’t hold that against Tony! It took about a half hour to finagle the sofa bed back together enough to sit on.
We were disappointed that the screened in porch was filled with things; the kayaks are in there as well as seemingly random items and all of the outdoor games previous renters raved about were scattered all over. I couldn’t tell what was what for games. Definitely not a usable space. Again, I’m confident the cleaning crew was not doing their part.
The views, the fire pit (once the burn ban lifted), and the hot tub were amazing! Overall a wonderful stay, minus checking in!

Had a wonderful stay at the cabin! Nicely secluded, make sure your car is good to drive up hilly dirt roads. There's a great selection of board games, kayaks (bring a rack on your car), a dvd/blu-ray player, some movies... basically everything you need for a fun wifi-less weekend away. Tony gives great recs for nearby hikes, breweries, etc. Definitely recommend.

Tony was very responsive and flexible with check-in. Overall, this is a decent, no-frills property if you are looking to disconnect from the world for a bit.
Some things to consider before booking this property:
You will absolutely need a 4wd/awd vehicle to get to the property confidently. My RAV 4 had no trouble getting up the steep, unpaved backroads and driveway. However, I don’t think I would have been comfortable trying to get up there with a two wheel drive vehicle.
The hot tub was nice in the evening, but it could use a good cleaning to remove the sand from the bottom.
There is no wifi or cable available and the cell service is spotty, so don’t plan on spending much time watching tv.
The chairs near the fire pit, screens around the porch, parts of the bathroom, and deck are in varying degrees of disrepair. It’s a cabin in the woods, so this is to be expected. However, for the money, there are more well-maintained properties in the area.

A very quiet and peaceful location in the mountains outside of Berkeley Springs, WV. The cabin was clean and came supplied with kitchen equipment and clean sheets and towels. I loved relaxing in the hot tub and by the fire pit at night. Kayaks and life jackets were also provided for use on the nearby river. The host was very welcoming and responsive to messages leading up to my stay at the cabin.
Negative:
Minimal to no cell service in the area, so I would have liked to have Wi-Fi available in the cabin. The local roads to the cabin were in fair/poor condition. Note: both of these issues were disclosed to me by the host prior to my stay.

Mistakenly booking something with no wifi & cell coverage ended up being a blessing in disguise. House was clean. Location was great. Hot tub was amazing. But, the experience would have been much better had they provided some basic info. Iv'e never stayed in a remote AIRBNB in which the host didn't provide some basic info. A binder w/ some good local hikes or places to visit would have saved me a lot of time. No internet connection makes researching the area impossible. The place is managed by another company. I had to fill out a questionnaire and was expected to download a manual. The problem was I couldn't open the manual w/out the internet. I book through AIRBNB cause the app makes things easier. Adding another party confuses things. TBH if I knew I would be dealing w/ a mngmt company, I would have passed.

A solid cabin that comfortably fits 4 adults, with a well stocked kitchen, in a very peaceful and private location. We enjoyed the indoor wood burning stove as it was a bit chilly to be outside around the fire pit (having both options was great). The hot tub was relaxing and seemed like new. Decor was fitting for a cabin and beds were comfy! The whole neighborhood seems to not have any cell signal, though there is a device in the house that helps amplify signal to at least get urgent messages in/out. The hot tub is not very close to the door so would recommend taking that into account in packing. It’s also worth flagging to others that this place has surprisingly late check in and early check out as it’s standard times, so you may end up paying more than expected if you want to upgrade to check out times you typically see at other Airbnbs.

This listing was not worth the money spent, we got into location late and noticed that on site it said check in was 11 pm and check out was 1am so figured that would work. No where did it say check in was 4 and check out was 10am. Needless to say there was so confusion and misleading information on their end that resulted in a extra fee that I had to pay. The place was not cleaned very well. There was cob webs hanging from the ceiling, dirt and dead bugs behind the bed and on the floor and spider webs in the windows with spiders hanging in it. I understand it’s country but I was told the cleaner was there right before we showed up so clearly they just didn’t clean it very well. The hot tub had way to much chlorine in it it was almost unbearable to be in. Just all in all not a good experience and definitely not worth a couple hundred dollars for a 10 hr stay.

Absolutely loved the time we spent here. It was short and last minute put together. But we will 100% be back. The cell service SUCKS and it’s pretty awesome. I know shocker!?!? But I loved spending time with my family without worrying about that tiny little device. We didn’t even leave the cabin, they games they had were so much fun! All appliances to cook. If you’re looking to unplug, this is the place. No internet or cellphones. But, it’d be good to make any reservations beforehand (e.g. rafting or kayaking) and have a paper map or download offline maps. I would be mindful of the season you go depending on your tires/vehicle. This is a place that’s located in the mountains and surrounded by woods. Which means, you also gotta be cool with bugs when you’re outside. It was a great last minute get-away!

This is a great little getaway spot. If you’re looking to disconnect (literally—no internet or service) this is a great option. If you’re trying to stay closer to Berkeley Springs specifically and not tied to outdoor/forest experience, I’d recommend checking Tony’s other postings instead. As a host: Tony is amazing and I would definitely book with him again!
Some suggestions if you book this spot:
-bring extra towels if you plan to use the hot tub
-there were limited “kitchen essentials” for cooking. Bring your own spices, foil, plastic wrap, etc. as they are not supplied. Salt, pepper, oil were provided (and I left behind some garlic powder for the next person 🙂
-I would say all-wheel drive / 4-wheel drive is a nonnegotiable. I can’t see a front-wheel drive vehicle making it up the mountain, especially with any chance of rain.
-the closest grocery store is a small store 20 minutes away, so I’d recommend buying any groceries beforehand, or do better planning ahead.

The cabin was great. We loved all the extras that were available and wished we had more time to use them all. This is a great cabin for summer time! The outdoor games he supplied are worth coming back again in the spring/summer months! I loved the no Wi-Fi and the hot tub! My 2 cousins,3dogs,and I stayed at Tony’s for 3days 2nights and we loved it. At first we were really scared that we would not be able to survive lol because there was no cell service, but it was actually really peaceful and comfortable, we were still able to keep in touch with Tony and our immediate family and friends as in some areas of the cabin there is very little service, the hot spot was also very helpful. Tony was a great host, he was very accommodating and replies to my messages in less than 10 minutes. The cabin was clean and had most of the stuff we needed, we just needed a pan/skillet which we could not find there. The hot tub was also very relaxing, it was just in an inconvenient location as we had to run to the entrance after being in it, and it was really cold. Other than that everything was good. We cant really recommend any place to go anywhere as we didn’t want to go out lol. They had a good selection of movies but we also recommend downloading your own and bring hdmi.

Enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and cozy, with lots of helpful items especially for cooking. No wifi but we wanted to disconnect for a few days so that worked for us. Landline phone available for emergencies which was nice. Hot tub was so relaxing and clean, fire pit outside was cozy and fun to use (we made s’mores). We slept on the bottom bunk and the bed was actually more comfy than expected. Fresh towels, smelled really clean. Comfy couch and nostalgic DVDs. The closest town is about 20 mins away, the drive isn’t bad but some hills are steep up the mountain. Majestic pizza is a must- really really good pizza and they have lots of deals. Overall great stay, cabin was cute, could have used a light on the screen porch, extra towels for the hot tub, a knob to hang towels by the hot tub, and a shower liner to prevent curtain from sticking to you while inside and/or molding.

We loved our stay at Tony’s cabin, it was the perfect winter getaway to unwind and unplug! We had everything we needed and the added amenities such as the hot tub, fire pit, outdoor and indoor games, and movies were a great touch (exceptional movie selection). The kitchen was stocked with all the supplies we needed and Tony was super responsive the whole trip! No there isn’t WiFi BUT we loved having the chance to unplug and my phone (at&t) had service in some spots and a land line for emergencies! Our only note is that the gravel road/driveway up is pretty steep- no problems driving up or down and we loved taking the hike down to and along the river but just something to be mindful of! We will definitely be back!!

Cabin was perfect in the woods, spotty cell service which was great for me. I wanted to unplug. Plenty of space, screened porch with all kinds of games, kayaks and there is also an open porch, which we spent most of the time. Hot tub was nice, did have to walk around to it so might want your bathrobe. Kitchen had basic pots/pans, plates ect. As far as spices bring your own… also would bring foil or plastic wrap. This amazing cabin its the perfect place. Tony made sure to explain the manual, how to get there, restaurants nearby among other things. Although there’s no wifi, it is what makes the cabin more relaxing. If you need to get away from the city and the internet, this cabin is your best option. Furthermore there is a lot of stuff you can do once you are there; kayaking, taking a relaxing bath at Berkeley Springs, visiting the castle at Berkeley Springs, visiting the Great Cacapon State Park and more importantly taking advantage of the hot tub. Staying at Tony’s cabin was the best thing I did.

The cabin was clean and incredibly cozy. I only stayed one evening, but would definitely come back for a longer vacation. The cabin is secluded and it felt like a personal piece of paradise. The host was very accommodating and communicative. A couple things to note: 1) cell service was non-existent (not a bad thing, just something to prepare for) and 2) you will need to use a different version of maps to enter the cabin’s address as maps on iPhone did not work for me. Would absolutely recommend staying here if you have the chance.

The road that leads to the drive in which the cabin is on is NOT safe for vehicles. Drive EXTREMELY careful up and down the road as vehicle damage will occur.
It took us 30 minutes to get to town to grab groceries. Even 30 minutes away from the cabin, we still did not have any form of cell service. Although what we were looking for was a getaway completely remote to reality, this was something we felt was too far away in case of an emergency.
The cabin and surrounding area are beautiful, peaceful, and great for re-energizing your soul!
