My son and I had a great time staying at Tony’s cabin. We loved how secluded it was, enjoyed the back deck and the jacuzzi outside. Very spacious with nice bedrooms, comfy beds, games, ping pong and foosball were all great. So many great places to visit all within 20 minutes such as Harper’s Ferry and the Charles Town Races Casino. Tony was a great host and checked in to make sure all was well. Would definitely stay again!! Great value!

I stayed here with a friend, and we had a great time! The area is gorgeous and quiet. It was exactly as shown on the listing. The owner is incredibly kind and always willing to help.
When we had arrived, we had issues with the door not locking and the AC not working. A mechanic was immediately sent out, and we had both issues sorted quickly.
The home provides plenty of basic amenities, and the house rules are simple to follow. It’s incredibly comfortable. We made good use of the ping-pong table!
Thank you to Tony and the team for being so willing to help us through any complications we had. We had a great time!

We had a family of 2 adults, 2 teens, and a pre-schooler in our party. It was fun for all! We all thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the game room. The cabin is very private and out in the boonies(just what we like!) There is a Dollar General about 15 mins away and a grocery store about 25 mins away. We enjoyed going to the Mountain Lake Club which was only 10 mins away! The house had just about everything you would need. A tiny suggestion would be to add some tubberware for leftovers to the kitchen, did not have anything to store leftover food. We have nothing but good things to say about our experience here! We actually added on an extra nights stay! We did not want to leave. Tony and his team are very helpful and respond almost immediately! Thank you for giving us a few days away to reset before I have to return to work after having a hip replacement. It was just what the doctor ordered 😉 we will definitely stay again!

From the outside of the house you wouldn’t think the interior would be so nice but it was quaint. It’s an isolated location truly away from anything within 20-30 min drive even to a restaurant or store. I personally wanted to be away from the chaos and I certainly was, but I didn’t quite want to be that far out. However, it was clean and the beds were comfortable for just me and my kids for the weekend. I also would’ve liked a slightly bigger couch or sectional for us to be alittle more comfortable- or at least some decorative pillows to lean against. Also, there was only enough hot water for both kids to shower and when I went to get in behind them it was cold. We did go into Harpers Ferry and rode bikes for the day which was nice along the C&O trail- I would highly suggest anyone who is active and likes to outdoors to do it!

Beautiful home! Hot tub, grill and game room were lots of fun! Comfy beds and beautiful big dining room table. Lots of games in the closets, not to be overlooked. Loved being able to bring our dog and park in the garage. No containers for leftovers or small frying pan, but other than that, the kitchen was well stocked. Lots of good recommendations for local places. Good shower pressure. It is very remote and the neighborhood doesn’t have any sidewalks. Would absolutely recommend.

We stayed at Huckleberry Hill for our anniversary and had a very relaxing, peaceful getaway. The setting is quiet and private, which made it easy to unwind and enjoy our time together. The home itself is spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed playing ping pong and spending time in the hot tub.
When we first arrived, there was a very strong air freshener scent that was a bit overwhelming. Additionally, the rental is fairly minimal in terms of extras—there were no added touches like snacks or additional kitchen and paper products that we’ve experienced at other Airbnb stays. We made a quick trip to the store and were able to get everything we needed without issue.
Overall, we had a nice stay and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere.

The hosts were extremely communicative and we loved staying there. They even made sure the hot tub was on and ready for us upon arrival – great touch! My only wish was the kitchen to be a little better supplied, I love cooking but the kitchen tools left something to be desired. Otherwise, everything was spotless and the place was easy to find. We had a wonderful stay! The host was very responsive, friendly, and welcoming. The facility was clean and well-maintained, with a quiet atmosphere perfect for relaxation. It’s a great family-friendly environment — our kids loved the ping pong table and the many board games available. The kitchen and bathroom were clean, and we appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea.
This place offers great value if you’re looking for a peaceful, secluded getaway in the mountains. Just note that it’s about a 20–25 minute drive to Harpers Ferry. The only minor downside was that the chlorine level in the hot pool was quite strong, so our kids (8 and 12) found it a bit irritating to their skin. My wife and I, however, were fine and really enjoyed soaking in the hot pool surrounded by the deep woods.
Highly recommended for a restful mountain retreat!

The place worked well for our trip hiking around Harpers Ferry and we enjoyed the ping pong table in the basement.
The house is down a rough gravel road but there are a couple of different routes that can used to reach the house to avoid the steepest roads.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! It’s the perfect getaway if you’re looking to unwind in a peaceful, secluded area. The tranquility here is just what we needed: lots of deer wandering around and the soothing sounds of birds singing. It felt like a true escape into nature! Overall our stay was good. The house had enough space for our family and we all had fun playing the games in the basement. The house needed several updates and some doors were broken. The place wasn’t as clean as we would’ve liked. We kept getting black, what looked like dog hair, on us and it was on the sink in one of the bathrooms. The big glass doors were pretty dirty as well. And after walking around the house we had dirt stains on our socks.
Tony was very nice and quick to respond to anything we needed!

The hot tub was a really nice addition. It was close to the attractions we came to see but enough out of the way to be in a tranquil area to escape the hustle and bustle. Would stay here again.

We had a great stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and we had plenty of room for us and our pups. The cabin was dog friendly and accommodated us perfectly. The game room downstairs was fun and the internet and streaming services on the TVs worked well. The location was scenic but might be a little difficult to maneuver if there was winter weather. We ventured into DC one day, just about 90 mins away. We also drove the Virginia byway for some scenic views and visited the Bluemont General store. We had a nice relaxing stay and Tony communicated well.
The cabin is a little older and clearly a rental as there are some touch up spots and some of the items in the house are outdated. We had a problem with the main bath sink being clogged but since there was a second bathroom we had no issues. We notified the owner and he communicated effectively.
Overall it was a very nice stay.

Tony’s place was absolutely beautiful! I had a wonderful stay. The location is amazing secluded but not too far from things. This was one of the cleanest airbnbs I’ve stayed in so kudos, I also appreciated no overpowering Febreeze plugins also! Check-in/out and house manual were clearly provided which made things a breeze, and it had all the necessary amenities. The place also stayed warm easily even in snowy/freezy conditions. Thanks again for hosting!

The location and house was great! This was probably my favorite home on Air bnb so far. If you’re looking for a quiet place in nature to relax, this home is perfect. It’s also super close to Harper’s Ferry, Charles Town, and Shepardstown, which are all places you should visit when staying here! Tony was super nice and was great with checking in and communicating. This was a great stay! The cabin is ADORABLE. It’s a fully modern house inside. Many reviews state that the AC does not work. That is totally incorrect AND it’s in full shade. You really don’t need any AC. I would absolutely go back but I’d do a few things differently. Also going to am actual grocery store is worth it. The mini-mart nearby is very expensive.

Really beautiful spot and a very clean, welcoming and well equipped house. Plenty of beds and sofas. Really nice kitchen and grill situation. Awesome deck for hanging out while grilling. Only qualm is it really isn’t a cabin, is just a nice comfy house. Wish we could have had a bonfire, but that’s out fault as it mentioned no fires in listing and we failed to see that. River access would have been nice for fishing, we saw the river very close on googlemaps but there is no walkable way to get there without walking through someone’s yard. I recommend this spot to anyone visiting Harper’s Ferry, it’s really close to the sites and the host Tony was very friendly and helpful. Tony was very responsive too. Seems like a great AirBnB for a family visiting the area

We had a great time at Tony’s cabin for a NYE getaway in Harpers Ferry. The cabin was amazing, quiet, and comfortable. The hot tub was in perfect working order as well and made for a great time on a cold dark night. The only negative from our visit was that the listing mentioned a ping pong table (along with images), but the basement only had the foosball table. We ended up not using the basement due to this.

I stayed a night with a few girlfriends. There was tons of space and we all loved the hot tub. For the most part clean but the place had kind of an old cigar/cigarette smell when you walk in and there was a bunch of rotting fruit in the dishwasher. For what we paid and the space, I would definitely stay again though.

I would give 5 stars to Tony and his place but for one small issue. The check out time changed and was not communicated to us before our arrival. Tony was kind enough to honor the original check out time, but his cleaning crew rudely told us they were waiting 15-20 minutes for us to leave and to get out. The woman leading the crew was visibly upset and raising her voice. We wanted to honor the check out rules like taking out the trash and washing the dishes, but were unable to as we instead had to throw our bags in the car and leave the driveway as soon as possible because the cleaning crew needed the driveway.
The home was lovely, with full amenities and great space, quiet and peaceful, close to the lower town Harpers Ferry which is a joy to visit.

We love the log cabin feel of this home with a modern twist on the inside. It was completely GORGEOUS! Beds were super comfortable and the hot tub was a great added touch! Our kids loved being outside and exploring nature.

We originally booked another property with Tony, but unfortunately there was a maintenance issue. Tony offered us the Huckleberry Hill location as a replacement. If you stay, just be sure to have an AWD vehicle because of the gravel roads (not a complaint, just an observation). It’s very dark since it’s surrounded by a lot of trees and it’s into the woods, so we just wish there were lights along the walkway to the front door and around the hot tub. Everything was extremely clean and organized when we entered the cabin. Tony was super helpful and had tons of recommendations!

Pros – hot tub was awesome, great WiFi, very clean, nice decks, nice bedrooms with good sleeping arrangements. Tony was super communicative and responsive.
Cons – Tony asked us for concerns and when I said the AC wasn’t working, he replied that it would wait until after we left. Master bedroom has no ceiling fan and only one window with curtains that wouldn’t open. So no air flow. Deck door and about half the windows didn’t have screens so no air flow there either. Also lots of patches on walls that were mid-repair. Late check in and early check out weren’t fun.

Tony had great communication throughout our stay. The place is dog friendly so I always fear that it will smell like dog pee but it was very clean. There are tons of breweries and wineries within a half hour drive- I recommend bear chase brewing (food, beautiful view) and the rabbit hole.

Tony’s home is located at a perfect, private, and peaceful area. We enjoyed our stay there with a kitchen stocked with all tools, utensils and cookware, a bright living room with some decorations, a great dining room with a nice dining table fitting 8 or more.
However, this home does require some improvement/ maintenance, including the foosball/ pool (3-in-1) table in the basement needs to be repaired/ replaced, the main vent cover in dining room needs to be replaced, the doors to each room is a little bit old and needs some maintenance, the outdoor grill’s thermostat needs to be replaced (not moving unless you knock it a little bit), and lastly some towels provided has the heavy smoke smell. Hopefully these are seen and improved in near future.

This was a great place! Beautiful area, very private and quiet. The hot tube was a nice bonus! Ate dinner on the porch. Went to Black Dog cafe for coffee in the morning. Stayed 2 nights with my Dog Sprout. The Cabin was perfect as a quiet place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Loved the place! Only caution is be careful if you have a very low set vehicle. I have an suv so no difficulty but my car might have had some trouble with the dirt road and my gps got slightly weird but found it still pretty quickly. House was amazing and loved the hot tub. Beautiful wooded setting. Tony is super friendly and helpful and checked in and out with ease. Bed was comfy and will definitely return again with friends in the future. Absolutely must see, especially if you like a woodsy feel in a modern house with lots of fun amenities.

We really enjoyed our stay at Huckleberry Hill! The place was perfect for our family of 4 and our dog Riggins. It was peaceful, private, and the house was exactly as advertised. We all enjoyed the hot tub and the ping pong table especially. Even though the place was fairly remote, I was pleased that we had VERY fast internet, which helped keep the kids occupied when needed as well. The hosts were also very responsive and helpful leading up to and during our stay. We will definitely look to come back in the future- thanks Tony!

Overall the cabin is a good value. The reason we stayed is it allowed us to have our dog. There was plenty of parking. The photos did not match the quality of the house. Inside the house had many spackling patches that were not sanded down or painted. Different furniture upstairs and downstairs. We had to clean the kitchen before using it, there were many crumbs under the toaster, food or dirt stuck on the dishes and cooking ware, and a layer of dust on top of the fridge. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to make and serve a meal on. The outside grill cooked steak and potatoes evenly. In the basement the ping pong table was fun. The foosball table was missing a row of defenders so we were unable to play. The mattress is on the firm side but comfortable, extra pillows in the closet. The hot tub outside was amazing on the 20 degree nights.

Tony’s place is nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the stay including the hot tub. Kitchen and the entire house was very clean.
Check-in time after 4 pm is inconvenient, specially in the winter. Our car got stuck on the ice, right after the left turn at the first T-intersection while coming away from the house. Taking right at that T-intersection is a better option. The cleaning lady was really nice and helpful to show us the way. It may help to include this alternate direction, particularly in the winter.

This was such a fun place to stay! The ping-pong table was great on a rainy day when we couldn’t hike, and the hot tub at night was wonderful. It’s a beautiful little house hidden amongst the woods. Tony was a wonderful host–reached out several times to see if we had questions.

Tony’s place is comfortable, spacious and nestled in a beautiful forest. It feels quite secluded, but is only a 20-25 minute drive from various amenities and things to do- vineyards, breweries, Harpers Ferry etc. Tony was responsive on a couple of issues we had whilst there and tried to sort them as quickly as possible.

We really enjoyed our trip to West Virginia – Tony was great! The house was very clean & cozy. We felt very comfortable from the moment we walked through the front door. There was plenty of room for four of us & our dogs. Great location and easy access to many things to see and do. Tony provided great communication. Great cottage in the woods! Our kids loved the game room, and all the kid specific stuff (games, bunk beds, kitchen utensils) were much appreciated. Really great remote getaway for peace and quiet. Cell service isn’t great so if you can’t rely on WiFi calling take that into consideration.

We had an amazing weekend stay at the cabin! We really appreciated Tony checking in with us to make sure we were settling in. We took our dog, and she was so excited to run around the backyard playing fetch! We had one very happy and tired little girl at the end of our stay! The humans enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and playing Foosball downstairs in the game room! A perfect spot for anyone looking to have some peace and quiet and a nice haven after a hike in Harpers Ferry! We look forward to returning soon!

The cabin was cute, nicely decorated, had everything you needed. Pretty remote location. Good AC and wifi. What was provided was a little different from what was described in the house manual- we ended up not using some things we brought since the stuff was already there. The biggest problem was water leakage in the basement that caused the carpet to be wet and create a bad mildew smell. Tony said no one could come look at it until after our stay so we had to limit our use of the basement.

The home is lovely. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans for cooking. The interior decorations are modern and updated with an air of touch of class living. The game room is wonderful. The neighborhood setting is very peaceful. We had good television reception and the WiFi worked fine. I am recommending this place to all my friends.
Negative:
There is nothing I didn't like about the place, however a better description about the roads in the neighborhood being gravel and very hilly would have prepared me better for the trip. Even still I will stay there again it was that wonderful.

Tony’s place has everything you’ll need for a relaxing getaway. The cabin is clean with a lot of useful amenities. The beds are comfortable and the carpets are soft. The game room is fun and the space is perfect. There’s plenty to do in the neighborhood and the local bait store is great – has everything you could need/want. The road leading to the house might be a little challenging to drive on but our party had a pick up truck, a Prius, and a motorcycle. All 3 did just fine! Just go for it! You’ll have a great time. 🙂

First off Tony is very prompt in his replies to questions. The inside of the house is just as advertised. I loved the solitude that the neighborhood provided. The drive into Harper’s Ferry for sightseeing was not bad and we even added a stop into Frederick MD all of which are convenient to the house. We brought out food but stopped at the little convenience store for bread and ice cream. Tony’s cabin was perfect for my family’s weekend getaway. We had a great time staying in and playing ping pong, watching movies, watching the sunset from the back porch, and playing in the yard with our dog. Downtown Harpers Ferry is about a 20-25 minute drive away, and we drove out a couple times to explore some of the hiking trails and breweries. Tony is an extremely helpful and thoughtful host: he provided a detailed house manual in advance of our stay that answered any questions we might have, he checked in via text after our first night just to make sure everything was going smoothly, and he offered some great restaurant recommendations (the burgers at the Rabbit Hole were A+). This was pretty much my ideal weekend and I hope we can make another trip soon!

A lovely welcoming getaway, clean and warm and nestled in the woods, cozy and comfortably modern. I loved the clean fragrance when I arrived, the view through the trees to the wisps of smoke rising from a cabin across the small hollow, and the peaceful neighborhood. Great wifi for working remotely, and since the Spring gave up a last blast of chilly weather the living room tv was perfect to stream one of the fireplace videos on Netflix while I sipped my coffee and curled up in the fleecy throw blanket to read, write, and relax… the comfort of a cabin retreat without the hassle or mess of a wood fire. Tony was communicative, responsive, friendly and helpful, and I also appreciated the contactless check-in. No problem finding the place using my car’s navigation during daylight but I did have to check the image on the listing to make sure I drove up to the correct home. Safe quiet neighborhood, lots of cool birds and free public Shenandoah River access including a public ramp and parking about 5 minutes away.

We had a great stay at Tony’s cabin! It looks exactly like the pictures, very clean with lovely decor and artistic touches throughout. I would describe the cabin “mountain chic”.
Highly recommend taking a four-wheel drive vehicle if you can as you have to drive down a very steep gravel road to get to the cabin, which would be impossible to drive back up with any amount of snow in a two-wheel drive. Sadly we had to cut our trip short since there was a snow storm hitting the area the morning of our departure.
Definitely go to Notaviva Farm Brewery & Winery – it’s only a 15 min drive from the cabin and they have a great beer, wine and cider selection.
The cabin is about a 25 min drive to downtown Harpers Ferry where we did a really cool hike that overlooks the town and river.
Overall great stay, would recommend!

Great little place, just 15 min outside of Harpers Ferry and close to the park and trails. This cozy cabin had everything we needed to cook for and entertain 2 couples. We spent two nights in this beautiful, serene space. We thoroughly enjoyed our mountain get-away and were greeted by three deer upon our arrival. The cabin was immaculate and thoughtfully decorated.
The drive in made it seem more magical, twisting up and down some steep, winding roads that eventually turned to dirt.
We would recommend and definitely stay again.

The perfect getaway! It was a secluded place to get away from it all where we saw deer walking across the yard. The beds were comfortable with a fun game room downstairs. My son and I had a great time staying at Tony's cabin. We loved how secluded it was, enjoyed the back deck and the jacuzzi outside. Very spacious with nice bedrooms, comfy beds, games, ping pong and foosball were all great. So many great places to visit all within 20 minutes such as Harper's Ferry and the Charles Town Races Casino. Tony was a great host and checked in to make sure all was well. I stayed here with a friend, and we had a great time! The area is gorgeous and quiet. It was exactly as shown on the listing. The owner is incredibly kind and always willing to help.
When we had arrived, we had issues with the door not locking and the AC not working. A mechanic was immediately sent out, and we had both issues sorted quickly.
The home provides plenty of basic amenities, and the house rules are simple to follow. It's incredibly comfortable. We made good use of the ping-pong table!
Thank you to Tony and the team for being so willing to help us through any complications we had. We had a great time!

We had a family of 2 adults, 2 teens, and a pre-schooler in our party. It was fun for all! We all thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the game room. The cabin is very private and out in the boonies(just what we like!) There is a Dollar General about 15 mins away and a grocery store about 25 mins away. We enjoyed going to the Mountain Lake Club which was only 10 mins away! The house had just about everything you would need. A tiny suggestion would be to add some tubberware for leftovers to the kitchen, did not have anything to store leftover food. We have nothing but good things to say about our experience here! We actually added on an extra nights stay! We did not want to leave. Tony and his team are very helpful and respond almost immediately! Thank you for giving us a few days away to reset before I have to return to work after having a hip replacement. It was just what the doctor ordered 😉 we will definitely stay again!

From the outside of the house you wouldn’t think the interior would be so nice but it was quaint. It’s an isolated location truly away from anything within 20-30 min drive even to a restaurant or store. I personally wanted to be away from the chaos and I certainly was, but I didn’t quite want to be that far out. However, it was clean and the beds were comfortable for just me and my kids for the weekend. I also would’ve liked a slightly bigger couch or sectional for us to be alittle more comfortable- or at least some decorative pillows to lean against. Also, there was only enough hot water for both kids to shower and when I went to get in behind them it was cold. We did go into Harpers Ferry and rode bikes for the day which was nice along the C&O trail- I would highly suggest anyone who is active and likes to outdoors to do it!

Beautiful home! Hot tub, grill and game room were lots of fun! Comfy beds and beautiful big dining room table. Lots of games in the closets, not to be overlooked. Loved being able to bring our dog and park in the garage. No containers for leftovers or small frying pan, but other than that, the kitchen was well stocked. Lots of good recommendations for local places. Good shower pressure. It is very remote and the neighborhood doesn’t have any sidewalks. Would absolutely recommend.

We stayed at Huckleberry Hill for our anniversary and had a very relaxing, peaceful getaway. The setting is quiet and private, which made it easy to unwind and enjoy our time together. The home itself is spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed playing ping pong and spending time in the hot tub.
When we first arrived, there was a very strong air freshener scent that was a bit overwhelming. Additionally, the rental is fairly minimal in terms of extras—there were no added touches like snacks or additional kitchen and paper products that we’ve experienced at other Airbnb stays. We made a quick trip to the store and were able to get everything we needed without issue.
Overall, we had a nice stay and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere.

We had a wonderful stay! The host was very responsive, friendly, and welcoming. The facility was clean and well-maintained, with a quiet atmosphere perfect for relaxation. It’s a great family-friendly environment — our kids loved the ping pong table and the many board games available. The kitchen and bathroom were clean, and we appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea.
This place offers great value if you’re looking for a peaceful, secluded getaway in the mountains. Just note that it’s about a 20–25 minute drive to Harpers Ferry. The only minor downside was that the chlorine level in the hot pool was quite strong, so our kids (8 and 12) found it a bit irritating to their skin. My wife and I, however, were fine and really enjoyed soaking in the hot pool surrounded by the deep woods.
Highly recommended for a restful mountain retreat!

The place worked well for our trip hiking around Harpers Ferry and we enjoyed the ping pong table in the basement.
The house is down a rough gravel road but there are a couple of different routes that can used to reach the house to avoid the steepest roads.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! It’s the perfect getaway if you're looking to unwind in a peaceful, secluded area. The tranquility here is just what we needed: lots of deer wandering around and the soothing sounds of birds singing. It felt like a true escape into nature! The home looked nothing like the listing photos. The backyard, a major selling point, was misrepresented, and patio furniture was missing or damaged. Within an hour of arrival, I received a text that a handyman would stop by to check the stove—something that should’ve been addressed before our stay. The plumbing didn’t work, the cookware was filthy with food remnants, and the house reeked of cigarette smoke. Despite listing central air, the house never cooled below 72°F and relied on a window unit. We canceled our plans to wait for a handyman who never came. Airbnb helped relocate us and gave a partial refund, but we still paid $487 out-of-pocket for a night in an unsanitary, poorly maintained home. The host offered an extra night the day before check-in—then denied our early check-in request the next day. No accountability, no follow-up. This home was not guest-ready and appears neglected. I would never rent from this host again. The negative reviews are accurate.

The stay overall was okay. Loved the hot tub. The location is great. We had an easy time driving down on the gravel road with a AWD. However, when we arrived from a long road trip at 4 pm, we were disappointed to find the house was unclean with dirty towels, unmade beds, and dirty floors. It took the property management company a few hours to get the cleaning company to show up. Never talked to a Tony. We didn’t leave because there were no other options in the area. We stayed in the living room while the workers cleaned. We made the best of the stay. Note that the kitchen has really old pots and pans. Some of the dishes in the cupboard were unclean because the dishwasher doesn’t work as well. It would be nice to have extra blankets and cleaning supplies to use.

Overall our stay was good. The house had enough space for our family and we all had fun playing the games in the basement. The house needed several updates and some doors were broken. The place wasn't as clean as we would've liked. We kept getting black, what looked like dog hair, on us and it was on the sink in one of the bathrooms. The big glass doors were pretty dirty as well. And after walking around the house we had dirt stains on our socks.
Tony was very nice and quick to respond to anything we needed!

This was a great, quiet and relaxing place for our family to stay for a few days. Everything was as described and had everything we could have needed. Kitchen was adequately stocked. The hot tub was a really nice addition. It was close to the attractions we came to see but enough out of the way to be in a tranquil area to escape the hustle and bustle. Would stay here again.

Our stay wasn't the best. The place had so many things wrong. it was really dirty. If it would have been clean, the place was nice. Tony or whoever I texted with was on the ball. they did give me money back for the dirtiness of the place. Considering how bad it was, I didn't feel like it was enough. I wanted to leave but my husband did not. He ended up washing out the hot tub himself. They blamed it on back to back snow storms but if that was the case they shouldn't of rented it out. I will not stay there again.

We had a great stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and we had plenty of room for us and our pups. The cabin was dog friendly and accommodated us perfectly. The game room downstairs was fun and the internet and streaming services on the TVs worked well. The location was scenic but might be a little difficult to maneuver if there was winter weather. We ventured into DC one day, just about 90 mins away. We also drove the Virginia byway for some scenic views and visited the Bluemont General store. We had a nice relaxing stay and Tony communicated well.
The cabin is a little older and clearly a rental as there are some touch up spots and some of the items in the house are outdated. We had a problem with the main bath sink being clogged but since there was a second bathroom we had no issues. We notified the owner and he communicated effectively.
Overall it was a very nice stay.

Tony's place was absolutely beautiful! I had a wonderful stay. The location is amazing secluded but not too far from things. This was one of the cleanest airbnbs I've stayed in so kudos, I also appreciated no overpowering Febreeze plugins also! Check-in/out and house manual were clearly provided which made things a breeze, and it had all the necessary amenities. The place also stayed warm easily even in snowy/freezy conditions. Place was decorated wonderfully, loved all the color it was super cute. Beds were comfy. Hot tub was nice and hot, game room was wonderful. Could use basic updates and extra cleaning done. Dishwasher is not working like it should, had to hand wash the load in the dishwasher from the last person who stayed there, and we found many dirty dishes in the cabinets. Also bring towels if you want to use the hot tub. No hot tub towels provided. Otherwise it was a relaxing stay.

We booked this chalet but got moved to another due to accessibility issues with this chalet (some trees were down near the property). I was offered an alternative location nearby which I accepted.
Negative:
The power went out a couple hours after we got there so we basically had to just go to bed, power wasn’t back on it on in the morning which led to their being no water to use the bathrooms or shower. Additionally, I did ask if the new location had a pergola over the hot tub like this property (so we could use it if it was raining) and was told yes, but when we arrived, we were misinformed. Also, the hot tub needs to be cleaned, lots of dead skin formed on the sides once we turned it on - yuck!

The property is in need of maintenance and a good cleaning. The deck is slippery and the sidewalk is horrible. The carpet has stains all over the place. House smells of uring and is musty. Could not use the game room as the basement floors were soaking wet upon arrival. Beds are uncomfortable. I contacted the owner and, at first he brushed over the subject of the wet floors, but the next time I texted him; he indicated there was a bad renter and they had to clean up. My wife has asthma and she could not stay the entire time as the musty smell made her asthma worse. We told the owner about the issue and all he offered was $50 back. Do not recommend this property. I would have been better off in a hotel.

The location and house was great! This was probably my favorite home on Air bnb so far. If you’re looking for a quiet place in nature to relax, this home is perfect. It’s also super close to Harper’s Ferry, Charles Town, and Shepardstown, which are all places you should visit when staying here! Tony was super nice and was great with checking in and communicating. This was a great stay! The cabin is ADORABLE. It's a fully modern house inside. Many reviews state that the AC does not work. That is totally incorrect AND it's in full shade. You really don't need any AC. I would absolutely go back but I'd do a few things differently. Also going to am actual grocery store is worth it. The mini-mart nearby is very expensive.

Really beautiful spot and a very clean, welcoming and well equipped house. Plenty of beds and sofas. Really nice kitchen and grill situation. Awesome deck for hanging out while grilling. Only qualm is it really isn't a cabin, is just a nice comfy house. Wish we could have had a bonfire, but that's out fault as it mentioned no fires in listing and we failed to see that. River access would have been nice for fishing, we saw the river very close on googlemaps but there is no walkable way to get there without walking through someone's yard. I recommend this spot to anyone visiting Harper's Ferry, it's really close to the sites and the host Tony was very friendly and helpful. Tony was very responsive too. Seems like a great AirBnB for a family visiting the area

We had a great time at Tony’s cabin for a NYE getaway in Harpers Ferry. The cabin was amazing, quiet, and comfortable. The hot tub was in perfect working order as well and made for a great time on a cold dark night. The only negative from our visit was that the listing mentioned a ping pong table (along with images), but the basement only had the foosball table. We ended up not using the basement due to this.

I stayed a night with a few girlfriends. There was tons of space and we all loved the hot tub. For the most part clean but the place had kind of an old cigar/cigarette smell when you walk in and there was a bunch of rotting fruit in the dishwasher. For what we paid and the space, I would definitely stay again though.

I would give 5 stars to Tony and his place but for one small issue. The check out time changed and was not communicated to us before our arrival. Tony was kind enough to honor the original check out time, but his cleaning crew rudely told us they were waiting 15-20 minutes for us to leave and to get out. The woman leading the crew was visibly upset and raising her voice. We wanted to honor the check out rules like taking out the trash and washing the dishes, but were unable to as we instead had to throw our bags in the car and leave the driveway as soon as possible because the cleaning crew needed the driveway.
The home was lovely, with full amenities and great space, quiet and peaceful, close to the lower town Harpers Ferry which is a joy to visit.

We originally booked another property with Tony, but unfortunately there was a maintenance issue. Tony offered us the Huckleberry Hill location as a replacement. If you stay, just be sure to have an AWD vehicle because of the gravel roads (not a complaint, just an observation). It's very dark since it's surrounded by a lot of trees and it's into the woods, so we just wish there were lights along the walkway to the front door and around the hot tub. Everything was extremely clean and organized when we entered the cabin. Tony was super helpful and had tons of recommendations!

Pros - hot tub was awesome, great WiFi, very clean, nice decks, nice bedrooms with good sleeping arrangements. Tony was super communicative and responsive.
Cons - Tony asked us for concerns and when I said the AC wasn’t working, he replied that it would wait until after we left. Master bedroom has no ceiling fan and only one window with curtains that wouldn’t open. So no air flow. Deck door and about half the windows didn’t have screens so no air flow there either. Also lots of patches on walls that were mid-repair. Late check in and early check out weren’t fun.

Tony had great communication throughout our stay. The place is dog friendly so I always fear that it will smell like dog pee but it was very clean. There are tons of breweries and wineries within a half hour drive- I recommend bear chase brewing (food, beautiful view) and the rabbit hole.

Tony's home is located at a perfect, private, and peaceful area. We enjoyed our stay there with a kitchen stocked with all tools, utensils and cookware, a bright living room with some decorations, a great dining room with a nice dining table fitting 8 or more.
However, this home does require some improvement/ maintenance, including the foosball/ pool (3-in-1) table in the basement needs to be repaired/ replaced, the main vent cover in dining room needs to be replaced, the doors to each room is a little bit old and needs some maintenance, the outdoor grill's thermostat needs to be replaced (not moving unless you knock it a little bit), and lastly some towels provided has the heavy smoke smell. Hopefully these are seen and improved in near future.

This was a great place! Beautiful area, very private and quiet. The hot tube was a nice bonus! Ate dinner on the porch. Went to Black Dog cafe for coffee in the morning. Stayed 2 nights with my Dog Sprout. The Cabin was perfect as a quiet place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Loved the place! Only caution is be careful if you have a very low set vehicle. I have an suv so no difficulty but my car might have had some trouble with the dirt road and my gps got slightly weird but found it still pretty quickly. House was amazing and loved the hot tub. Beautiful wooded setting. Tony is super friendly and helpful and checked in and out with ease. Bed was comfy and will definitely return again with friends in the future. Absolutely must see, especially if you like a woodsy feel in a modern house with lots of fun amenities.

We really enjoyed our stay at Huckleberry Hill! The place was perfect for our family of 4 and our dog Riggins. It was peaceful, private, and the house was exactly as advertised. We all enjoyed the hot tub and the ping pong table especially. Even though the place was fairly remote, I was pleased that we had VERY fast internet, which helped keep the kids occupied when needed as well. The hosts were also very responsive and helpful leading up to and during our stay. We will definitely look to come back in the future- thanks Tony!

Overall the cabin is a good value. The reason we stayed is it allowed us to have our dog. There was plenty of parking. The photos did not match the quality of the house. Inside the house had many spackling patches that were not sanded down or painted. Different furniture upstairs and downstairs. We had to clean the kitchen before using it, there were many crumbs under the toaster, food or dirt stuck on the dishes and cooking ware, and a layer of dust on top of the fridge. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to make and serve a meal on. The outside grill cooked steak and potatoes evenly. In the basement the ping pong table was fun. The foosball table was missing a row of defenders so we were unable to play. The mattress is on the firm side but comfortable, extra pillows in the closet. The hot tub outside was amazing on the 20 degree nights.

Tony's place is nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the stay including the hot tub. Kitchen and the entire house was very clean.
Check-in time after 4 pm is inconvenient, specially in the winter. Our car got stuck on the ice, right after the left turn at the first T-intersection while coming away from the house. Taking right at that T-intersection is a better option. The cleaning lady was really nice and helpful to show us the way. It may help to include this alternate direction, particularly in the winter.

The cabin was in a perfect location and had everything we needed for the weekend. Our group spent a lot of time hanging out at the Airbnb during our weekend stay and felt right at home.

If you’re thinking about it just book it! We had so much fun! It was a great way to relax and get away. Looks just like the pictures and everything is as described. It was super cozy and just all around great. Tony was always super quick to respond and super helpful with everything! Definitely recommend this place to anyone and would stay again in the future.

Tony's place is comfortable, spacious and nestled in a beautiful forest. It feels quite secluded, but is only a 20-25 minute drive from various amenities and things to do- vineyards, breweries, Harpers Ferry etc. Tony was responsive on a couple of issues we had whilst there and tried to sort them as quickly as possible.

We really enjoyed our trip to West Virginia - Tony was great! The house was very clean & cozy. We felt very comfortable from the moment we walked through the front door. There was plenty of room for four of us & our dogs. Great location and easy access to many things to see and do. Tony provided great communication. Any time I texted him, he responded within a few minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

Great cottage in the woods! Our kids loved the game room, and all the kid specific stuff (games, bunk beds, kitchen utensils) were much appreciated. Really great remote getaway for peace and quiet. Cell service isn’t great so if you can’t rely on WiFi calling take that into consideration.

The house was perfectly clean. The instructions on what was expected of us was very clear and we had a great time! The woods were serene and a morning dip in the hot tub was the perfect way to end a perfect birthday weekend.

Charming cabin in the woods. Nicely decorated and clean. Lots of amenities and special touches like spices and coffee and tea, body wash and shampoo, etc. Beautiful deer wander near the back porch, excellent grill and hot tub. All towels and bed linens provided as well. Tony was communicative and kind, making sure we had everything we needed. We had a very enjoyable stay!

We had a ton of fun staying in the cabin. It had everything we needed and the communication was great. A bit harder to get up the gravel hills in a sedan, but it is doable!

We had a wonderful stay! If you’re looking for a immersive retreat into nature look no further. From the game room to the hot tub this place has everything you need for a fun and relaxing getaway. Plus the location can’t be beat! So close to the town of harpers ferry with even more nature to enjoy and adorable shops!

We had an amazing weekend stay at the cabin! We really appreciated Tony checking in with us to make sure we were settling in. We took our dog, and she was so excited to run around the backyard playing fetch! We had one very happy and tired little girl at the end of our stay! The humans enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and playing Foosball downstairs in the game room! A perfect spot for anyone looking to have some peace and quiet and a nice haven after a hike in Harpers Ferry! We look forward to returning soon!

We had a wonderful stay in WV at this cabin. Excellent amenities, excellent coordination with the owner, absolutely zero complaints. 10 out of 10, would visit again.

The cabin was cute, nicely decorated, had everything you needed. Pretty remote location. Good AC and wifi. What was provided was a little different from what was described in the house manual- we ended up not using some things we brought since the stuff was already there. The biggest problem was water leakage in the basement that caused the carpet to be wet and create a bad mildew smell. Tony said no one could come look at it until after our stay so we had to limit our use of the basement.

We had a great time at Tony’s place. The space was very clean and well decorated. We loved the game room and hot tub. Tony was very friendly and it was very easy to communicate with him. We will definitely come back the next time we are in the area.

Positive:
The home is lovely. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans for cooking. The interior decorations are modern and updated with an air of touch of class living. The game room is wonderful. The neighborhood setting is very peaceful. We had good television reception and the WiFi worked fine. I am recommending this place to all my friends.
Negative:
There is nothing I didn't like about the place, however a better description about the roads in the neighborhood being gravel and very hilly would have prepared me better for the trip. Even still I will stay there again it was that wonderful.

Tony’s place has everything you’ll need for a relaxing getaway. The cabin is clean with a lot of useful amenities. The beds are comfortable and the carpets are soft. The game room is fun and the space is perfect. There’s plenty to do in the neighborhood and the local bait store is great - has everything you could need/want. The road leading to the house might be a little challenging to drive on but our party had a pick up truck, a Prius, and a motorcycle. All 3 did just fine! Just go for it! You’ll have a great time. 🙂

First off Tony is very prompt in his replies to questions. The inside of the house is just as advertised. I loved the solitude that the neighborhood provided. The drive into Harper's Ferry for sightseeing was not bad and we even added a stop into Frederick MD all of which are convenient to the house. We brought out food but stopped at the little convenience store for bread and ice cream. If you looking for a place to unwind and escape this is the place:) Thanks again for being such a wonderful host.

Clean, quiet cabin in a wooded setting, has a secluded feel but not too far away from some great breweries and Harpers Ferry as well. Nice game room in the basement. Would be a nice home base for a family or small group trip.

We gad a wonderful time at this home. Family movie nights in the cozy living room and the we enjoyed sleeping in the clean and comfortable bedrooms. We also enjoyed lunch on the deck during sunny days. Thank you Tony!

Tony's cabin was perfect for my family's weekend getaway. We had a great time staying in and playing ping pong, watching movies, watching the sunset from the back porch, and playing in the yard with our dog. Downtown Harpers Ferry is about a 20-25 minute drive away, and we drove out a couple times to explore some of the hiking trails and breweries. Tony is an extremely helpful and thoughtful host: he provided a detailed house manual in advance of our stay that answered any questions we might have, he checked in via text after our first night just to make sure everything was going smoothly, and he offered some great restaurant recommendations (the burgers at the Rabbit Hole were A+). This was pretty much my ideal weekend and I hope we can make another trip soon!

A lovely welcoming getaway, clean and warm and nestled in the woods, cozy and comfortably modern. I loved the clean fragrance when I arrived, the view through the trees to the wisps of smoke rising from a cabin across the small hollow, and the peaceful neighborhood. Great wifi for working remotely, and since the Spring gave up a last blast of chilly weather the living room tv was perfect to stream one of the fireplace videos on Netflix while I sipped my coffee and curled up in the fleecy throw blanket to read, write, and relax… the comfort of a cabin retreat without the hassle or mess of a wood fire. Tony was communicative, responsive, friendly and helpful, and I also appreciated the contactless check-in. No problem finding the place using my car’s navigation during daylight but I did have to check the image on the listing to make sure I drove up to the correct home. Safe quiet neighborhood, lots of cool birds and free public Shenandoah River access including a public ramp and parking about 5 minutes away.

Tony’s place is exactly how it is depicted in the pictures. It’s a lovely place with plenty of room for our group (2 families with 3 young kids). The kids loved the game room downstairs…and it was nice for them to have their own hang out space. We couldn’t have asked for better communication leading up to our stay and throughout - Tony is a top notch host!

We had a great stay at Tony’s cabin! It looks exactly like the pictures, very clean with lovely decor and artistic touches throughout. I would describe the cabin “mountain chic”.
Highly recommend taking a four-wheel drive vehicle if you can as you have to drive down a very steep gravel road to get to the cabin, which would be impossible to drive back up with any amount of snow in a two-wheel drive. Sadly we had to cut our trip short since there was a snow storm hitting the area the morning of our departure.
Definitely go to Notaviva Farm Brewery & Winery - it’s only a 15 min drive from the cabin and they have a great beer, wine and cider selection.
The cabin is about a 25 min drive to downtown Harpers Ferry where we did a really cool hike that overlooks the town and river.
Overall great stay, would recommend!

Great little place, just 15 min outside of Harpers Ferry and close to the park and trails. This cozy cabin had everything we needed to cook for and entertain 2 couples. The ping pong table was a hit with our group! Tony was a great and attentive host, quick to respond to any questions! Excellent place to stay close to DC and NOVA for the weekend mountain getaway.

This place is Fantastic! Place is private, clean, and comfortable. Cabin vibes give way to totally updated interior making it easy to settle in and get comfortable. Would 10/10 recommend and would not hesitate to book again if we are in the area again.

We spent two nights in this beautiful, serene space. We thoroughly enjoyed our mountain get-away and were greeted by three deer upon our arrival. The cabin was immaculate and thoughtfully decorated.
The drive in made it seem more magical, twisting up and down some steep, winding roads that eventually turned to dirt.
We would recommend and definitely stay again.

The perfect getaway! It was a secluded place to get away from it all where we saw deer walking across the yard. The beds were comfortable with a fun game room downstairs. Tony was fantastic offering great suggestions to take in both the beauty of the area as well as the rich history of that region. We would love to stay there again. It was awesome!!!

Great place! Very comfortable and quiet. Would highly recommend for a quick trip away from the city. Tony was a great host. We loved the decor, furniture and quality of mattresses and linens. Kitchen was also very spacious and had all essentials. The spider webs outside the cabin and the rustic exterior added to the charm. Close to civilization in Harpers Ferry and Charles Town yet feels like middle of the forest. Great location!
