Very beautiful stay, amazing service from the host and very private and isolated area for a great view and time.

Our time in this little cabin was absolutely wonderful! The space was very clean, Tony & the team were extremely communicative, and the instructions on everything were clear and helpful. It was private and quiet, even though you could see some other houses a bit away through the trees. Driveway was a little steep, and as you can expect by the end of this summer I’m sure, the gravel had washed away a bit, so I’d definitely be aware of that, and be thoughtful with the vehicle you bring in if you can. Be careful of deer there were lots and lots! As host says, there aren’t many spices/provides food items, and only basic cooking supplies, so make sure you think through what you need. 10/10, would stay again! P.S. we discovered that Big Schloss is a lovely place to get engaged… 😉

Beautiful experience!! Loved the cabin, very cozy and great place to rest after hiking all the gorgeous trails in the surrounding area. Lost and Found pizza was delicious! If you are into local coffee shops, Hive and Harvest was adorable with great unique flavors of coffee! The lake was very clear, clean, and fun to swim in. The only thing I will warn is that the beach access is not private, it is a public recreation center with lots of children. Regardless of this, it was still an amazing place to swim and hike. The hot tub was definitely the cherry on top, so peaceful to soak and enjoy the nature.

The place was wonderful! My friends and I had a great time. Very quiet and the area is super pretty. The place was very clean, and the host is extremely responsive and very kind. We loved the coffee shop just down the road!! Overall, it was a great experience and would totally come again!

I came to Lost River for a quiet getaway/hiking, and I am beyond thrilled that I chose to stay here. It was a perfect central location to get to different hiking trails, access to the trout pond, close to the state park. The cabin was extremely clean and well supplied. And being able to enjoy the hot tub overlooking the woods felt like serenity. Tony was quick to respond, just amazing with communication. 10/10 will stay again.

While the photos make it look a bit more airy and spacious than it really is, it was comfortable for what we needed! It had everything for a great getaway weekend and was an excellent location to local trails and pond, but over all it felt a bit more lived-in and dark than the photos and description made it seem. I think a printed house manual would be a great addition in case folks aren’t able to access the downloaded digital manual upon arrival! We had a great time and truly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and gorgeous deck! Thank you Tony and team for a great stay!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for an anniversary trip to get away and relax…it was perfect. This cabin was amazing for two people and was extremely peaceful and quiet. Tony was responsive and very helpful with everything, highly recommend!!

If you’re looking for a perfect weekend getaway from DC, look no further. This cozy cabin in the middle of woods has everything you need to spend the best summer nights. From breakfast on the deck, hiking on the nearby trails (Big Schloss was our favorite) and swimming at Trout Pond to spending an evening with BBQ, Hot Tub and relaxing at the fire pit. It was simply magical and I’m definitely coming back! 🙂

Stayed for a weekend, place was beautiful. Very private and relaxing, as well as having most house essentials. The hosts were incredible, responded at any hour for any questions and were very clear and helpful. Cabin was beautiful, everything was spotless. I would highly recommend. For future guests here’s some tips: Download a map, there’s no service starting about 30 mins away. Bring cooking spray, tinfoil, and plastic wrap if you plan on cooking, other than that kitchen was fully stocked. Bring cash, many things around here only take cash. Don’t bring firewood, there’s places on the way you can pick some up. Activities we did: Fire pit Hot tub Trout pond – great place for fishing, walking, kayaking, and you can reserve the beach in advance for swimming. MUSE vineyards- ~55 mins away, beautiful, live music, good wine. Guesthouse lounge in lost river – fancy restaurant, 10 mins away, very nice experience. This place was a perfect relaxing getaway HOSTS 10/10 FANTASTIC

Had a great relaxing weekend at this lovely little cabin! Everything was as described. Clear instructions were given by the hosts in their handbook about directions and getting inside (definitely download maps ahead of time since cell service was non-existent coming in). The driveway is steep and a little tricky – we preferred to back down the driveway so easier to drive up it to leave. Would likely need 4WD for icu or very muddy conditions. Very peaceful location and close proximity to a great variety of hiking options! The hot tub and fire pit were the selling points and enjoyed both after spending the day outside. The bed was comfy and kitchen had what was needed. Would definitely return for another visit!

This was our first cabin trip, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect—but it turned out to be an amazing experience. Tony was very responsive, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth and easy. The first thing that really stood out was how clean the place was, which we really appreciated. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s also about a 15-minute drive to an amazing butcher shop called Lost River Butcher Block—definitely worth a visit. I’d recommend not bringing your own meat and instead buying it there. They have fresh selections as well as frozen options to take home. Another highlight is Trout Pond Lake, which is only about 8 minutes away and absolutely worth checking out. The water is clear, and you can fish along the sides. We spent most of our evenings enjoying the peaceful atmosphere by the fire and relaxing in the jacuzzi. This place felt like the perfect retreat for both body and soul. I highly recommend this place—you won’t regret it!

We had a great time. The cabin was clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The grill and hot tub were great. The weather was colder than we hoped but we still found things to do.

The place is gorgeous. There was a storm the first night and we lost power for a few hours but other than that it was great. I did think the fee for dogs was a bit much at $29 per dog per day and it wasn’t listed on the page prior to booking. That was the only real negative though. It’s up on the mountain, there are cabins around and it’s really beautiful.

The cabin was wonderful for a get away. Me and my partner enjoyed the cabin so much that we wanted to visit there again in the Spring. The instructions were all clear but for future visitors there is no data access when you come near the cabin so make sure to download essential data related things before you enter the cabin. When you come into the house wifi is available. The zaccuzi was awesome especially in the cold weather. Host was actively responsive and kind. Highly recommend!

Peaceful, simple house in the woods. We enjoyed our stay there in the fall

Bottom line: we had a great stay! The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We got a good Sun–Fri deal and appreciated the option for late checkout (noon, for a fee). Clear communication, simple checkout, and shockingly fast/reliable Wi-Fi – good enough for a techie working remotely – made everything easy. Be aware they ask you to sign another agreement. The hot tub was clean, well maintained, and great at maintaining temperature, right on the beautiful deck. The dishwasher and thoughtful lighting were bonuses. Beautiful fall views and hiking within 30 minutes made for a great location; nearby houses are visible in fall but not super close. Driveway is steep with some potholes, so plan ahead if it’s wet or icy (my rear wheel drive pickup did not love the wet leaves, but there appears to be an option at the top if needed). No ice maker or trays, so grab a bag on the way. I didn’t report the malfunctioning washer until checkout, so may be fixed now. Overall, highly recommend!

Pros: Cute cabin! Total disconnect from reality. Hot tub wonderful -bring beach towels, the bath towels are sm. Made tasty meals on the gas grill. Love the view of the woods from the deck, saw a few deer. Leaves still on trees in Sept. so the backyard seemed private w/ houses on both sides. No cell service, as expected at a secluded cabin in the woods, but wifi was great for texting and video calls. Host is responsive. Would recommend this place to couples interested in disconnecting from the hustle and reconnecting with each other. Wish we could have stayed longer! Cons: No ice or ice cube trays provided so couldn’t make cocktails after a long drive. Host said they would fix it, but maybe bring your own in case. Pots and pans provided were very worn as if guests used forks to cook. If you don’t like using damaged nonstick pans, bring your own unless they get new ones. Gravel driveway very steep w/ BIG hole on one side, but our sedan managed. If muddy or icy, you will need 4×4.

The cabin was wonderful! Very relaxing, hot tub worked well. The cabin does have neighbors in view – but fortunately didn’t see anybody during our stay. So, overall very peaceful. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely time staying at this West Virginia cabin for 13 days. The hot tub was a welcome sight every time we returned home from a day of hiking. Their home is located close (within 1-1.5 hours so close considering you’re in the mountains) to lots of possible adventures, but also has nearby restaurants (within 30 minutes) that are quite good and shopping.

This cabin was absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway away from the chaos of life. We arrived while it was dark out and while the cabin is in an extremely remote area, the instructions were clear to follow and the property had motion lights that made unpacking a breeze. The location was absolutely beautiful and the photos do not do it justice. We used the hot tub and fire pit and both areas were perfect. Inside, the cabin was clean and tidy with anything we could have needed. 10/10 stay!

Beautiful, secluded little cabin in the woods. You have to cruise through a national forest to get to it which we loved. Keep in mind, you will have limited to no service in the surrounding areas but it is a great disconnect! We loved the hot tub and grilling out on the deck. There are guaranteed to be a few little insect friends staying with you but they weren’t a bother. Definitely recommend Tony’s place to anyone looking to connect with your people and the nature around you!

Had a great experience at Tony & Blue Maple’s cabin. The location was private and in a national forest, so it was extremely peaceful. There was construction of a new cabin somewhat nearby which created a little noise in the day time of the weekday, but it didn’t bother us too much because we left during the day to hike. The hot tub was so great after going on our hikes, which had impressive sights. The cabin was clean and felt safe throughout our stay. We also grilled on the patio, and made a bonfire in the evening. Very relaxing and enjoyable stay!

My partner, my dog, and I all stayed at the cabin for a few nights. In the end, we didn’t want to leave- it was SO peaceful. We loved the spacious deck. The cabin itself was a great size. Wifi is so speedy in the cabin, but there was also no cell service for us in the town. For us, this was a plus! It was so nice to slow down the pace of life for a while. The hot tub wasn’t working when we got there but it got fixed fairly quick after the handyman came. The host is super responsive which we really appreciated because we had a lot of questions! We loved getting to know Lost City, WV and look forward to our return 🙂

My stay was everything I was looking for. A quiet getaway nustled in between the wilderness. Very comfortable home has everything you need. The jacuzzi facing the backyard is super relaxing. I highly reccommend this place.

This cabin was such a cute and intimate place to vacation in for the weekend! The local hiking trails are so fun and easy to navigate for beginners. If you’re looking for bonus relaxation, I would highly recommend visiting Capon Springs (which is about 30 min away, so not too far).

Small cozy cabin nestled in WV mountains. Location is close to beautiful hiking, restaurants and stores are limited. As mentioned by other reviewers, cabin could use some updates.

Pros- cutely decorated, adequate furnishings, everything you needed to cook meals, extras like makeup wipes, coffee, etc. Nice, secluded location, with lots of privacy. We loved the firepit and used it several times. It was easy to find. There were enough pillows, linens, and towels for all three of us, and we enjoyed the hot tub! Cons- we couldn’t get inside because the storm door could not be opened from outside. It wasn’t that you had to do x, y, and z to get it to open- it just would not open from the outside and was next to I possible to shut once you were inside. We ended up not using it while we were there. The master bed is very very loud. In a small cabin where you hear everyone breathing, it was extremely loud with every movement I made (and I was sleeping by myself). The shower head wasn’t great, particular because I am quite short (5 feet tall). By the time the water got to my head it was just a droplet at a time lol. All in all, it wasn’t perfect but we had a great time.

We had a week to take a local vacation and I picked this place due to the variety of hiking spots nearby. We got a lot of snow at the start and ended up spending a very relaxing 5 days at the cabin. The host was communicative, the place was clean and exactly as described. So happy we could bring our puppers along. We ended up just relaxing at the cabin. Watched movies, lounged in the hot tub, and ate lots of comfort food. Felt the place was a great value especially since we got midweek rates. Would stay again!

We wanted a peaceful and different kind of Thanksgiving with immediate family, and this Airbnb provided exactly what we wanted. It was peaceful, clean, have everything we needed to cook, wash our laundry, and they had children kitchen items for my granddaughter that we forgot to pack. The mattress on both beds were so comfortable and the best sleep we have ever gotten in any Airbnb. The water was so nice and hot, the thermostat in the home kept us Floridians nice and warm. The locals are very kind. We had no problems getting in and out. The host was very quick to respond and help us. Communication was great. We felt so safe and at ease in this location. We are excited to book next year for another holiday travel. We highly recommend this cabin. No bugs. The cleaners really do a great job keeping this place clean. Thank you to the host for providing us a beautiful Thanksgiving for our family. We will see you next year.

We had a wonderful weekend in West Virginia. The cabin itself has everything you need, the bed was comfortable, we used the wood stove which added to the cozy vibe. I couldn’t get over the scenery around the cabin, it’s nestled in hundreds of trees, just as pictured. I was really impressed by the quality of glassware, silverware as usually it’s not very nice at air bnbs. The hot tub was the perfect way to end the day. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

Stopped here for two nights on our way from sc to pa. Cabin was wonderful and we enjoyed the hot tub very much. Host was quick to respond. The only thing is I was never able to open the house manual on the separate website but may be user error. It would be helpful to have the check out instructions and list of recommended restaurant with their hours printed somewhere in the house. You will loose cell service up by the cabin but the WiFi was fast for both of us to work from for the day. I recommend 4wd for the drive way, especially if it snows. We will definitely come back

Tony’s place is just as advertised! Beautiful scenery and very peaceful, perfect for a little get away!

We had a nice stay at this cute cabin, which felt very homey with its amenities. The beds were super comfortable, and our host was friendly and offered helpful local tips. However, we were disappointed to find upon arrival that the landscape photos in the listing are AI-generated. The cabin is accessed via a steep gravel hill with a big pothole to avoid. Additionally, there’s ongoing construction next door, so we had views of construction vehicles and heard power tools during the day. While this wasn’t a huge issue for us, it would have been nice to have real photos of the surroundings, as it felt like we were misled during the booking. One more thing that the host can’t necessarily control, the next door cabin visitors had dogs running loose, which sometimes circled our car when driving in or out and came onto the cabin patio, barking at us and scratching at the door. Just something to note so it doesn’t surprise you.

We had such a wonderful time at the Cozy Cabin! If you’re looking for a secluded getaway with lots of time to read, go outdoors, and relax in the hot tub, this is the place to go! No noise during the day and lots of stars at night! Beds were comfortable, hot tub worked and was very clean, and the cabin couldn’t be any cuter! Only thing to note, the driveway is VERY steep and we worried our sedan couldn’t make it without bottoming out, so we parked on the cul-de-sac and that was perfectly fine. Tony is super responsive and helpful. He recommended the Lost and Found Pizza, which had some of the BEST pizza and sandwiches we’ve ever had. I would recommended this place to anyone, and I will definitely be back with more family!

Absolutely perfect for a quiet stay for myself and my dog. It was close to the state park and trout pond as well as few little shops. The driveway was a little rough but if I can do it my FWD six speed so can you. I ended up parking at the top and walking down. Tony was very helpful and responsive and check in was extremely convenient and easy. There’s a cabin handbook you should download before you lose service which was also very helpful. I didn’t end up cooking but the kitchen is stocked with the necessities if you decide to. If you’re thinking about booking this just do it.

The cabin was exactly as described, it’s small but had Everything we needed, the hot tub was awesome too, being able to do laundry was an extra bonus, also our 2 dogs loved the extra space outside. Tony was a very helpful host. Originally, I had booked the yurt for a weekend getaway, but there was ongoing maintenance on the road. Tony was very helpful in providing us with another place nearby and we loved it! Though we would have loved to experience the yurt, the cabin was perfect for a peaceful weekend away.

Having stayed in many WV rentals, I was thoroughly impressed with how clean the house was and how nice the linens were. The space was exactly as promised and the handbook and information that Tony sent in advance were clear and concise. He goes above and beyond to provide a nice space. When I reached out he responded within 10 minutes. Amazing!

Was nice, peaceful, and quiet and right down the road from the National Park and Trout Pond for swimming/floating. Weather was great! Only thing we weren’t very enthusiastic about what the size and pressure on the hot tub. I’m sure for most it would be fine, but we both have back issues and I also have some leg issues and we really just wanted to get away for some relaxation, which was great, and therapeutic time in the hot tub so we chose the wrong place for that.

We spent 3 nights here and enjoyed it greatly. While this cabin is in a neighborhood, there is enough distance between cabins that it still feels private. The hot tub is definitely a huge bonus and we also enjoyed a night around the firepit. The cabin is very well stocked and this was so appreciated in a remote location. We grilled out and just enjoyed the sounds of nature from the deck. There were deer near the cabin nightly. We also went to the nearby lake for fishing and hiking. I highly recommend Tony’s place for a quiet mountain getaway. I would also recommend trying the pizza at Lost & Found, it was delish!

Lovely little cabin in a beautiful woodsy setting, good size for my husband and I, our baby, and our dog! Unfortunately, the hot tub was unexpectedly out of order during our stay. Otherwise pleasant two day trip, we grilled steaks from a local butcher on the deck and did excursions around the Lost River area, there are delightful shops and hikes to be found. Tony’s recommendations in the house guide are great! Nice well-appointed cabin, nothing fancy but was comfortable and met all of our needs.

We had a 1 night stay at the cabin. It was not nearly enough time to enjoy the offerings of the Cabin. We did, however, fully enjoy the peace, tranquility and the hot tub. We’ve been on the road for several days and a hot soak was a great ending to our day’s drive. Next time we’ll leave enough time for hiking in the forest and a camp fire.

There were some quirks to the space, such as some ants in the bathroom and when you would open the bathroom door a piece of the wall fell out on the other side near the laundry. However, even with the quirks, it was perfect for what my family needed in our travels from NJ to NC. Tony was very responsive and answered any and all questions. Overall I would love to stay at one of Tony’s residences again.

We had a great time staying at this AirBnB – everything was as described and Tony was very communicative. Our only advice would be to be sure to arrive during daylight if you can, as we had a difficult time navigating the isolated roads in the dark.

We loved this cute and cozy cabin! We were most excited for the hot tub and it worked great. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable to relax in all day with a wood fireplace and a well-stocked kitchen for cooking. We also loved the nearby Trout Pond recreation area for an easy hike around the water.

An absolutely WONDERFUL stay! My boyfriend and I got to stay here for his birthday, and it was such a treat to be here while the snow fell. Absolutely perfect cabin. Tony was so very helpful, communicative, and kind! 11/10 🙂

We loved the cabin! It was beautiful and very peaceful, inside and out. Tony and his team were very responsive and accommodating. We didn’t have service (which we were okay with!), but the wifi was great.

We stayed here for our family Christmas holiday. We chose this place because it is dog-friendly, and our baby enjoyed his stay as well! There are lots of places to explore, like the state park. Although the nearby lake was closed for the winter, we still had a great time. We will definitely come back next holiday. While AT&T and T-Mobile do not have service here, they provide fast internet service. Tony is very helpful and always keeps in touch with us before our check-in and check-out.

Tony’s Cabin was located in a private area. My family, dogs, and I spent a great Thanksgiving there. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed to cook. The hot tub was relaxing to sit in on cold days. The deck view was beautiful to sit and read. Our dogs enjoyed the free space outdoors. The host was very responsive and helpful. Great stay!

This place is perfection in a mountain cabin. Cozy, has everything you need, and very comfortable. The hot tub and wood fire stove were perfect for the chilly night. The driveway is a bit steep and gravelly and my two door civic coupe was able to tranverse it, but I would recommend an SUV if you have one as we had to floor it to make it back up!

This cabin was the perfect fall get away. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and wood stove inside the cabin that makes it feel so cozy. The cabin is in the woods at the end of the drive but is located relatively close to a couple other cabins. The owners of the cabin provided great information up front and were proactive in their communications, very professional.

My partner and I stayed here as a retreat ahead of our wedding. It was extremely peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Thanks for hosting us again! We look forward to our next visit.

The location was great quiet and not to close to neighbors and hiking trails a short drive . I would make sure you have a larger car the house is on the bottom of a gravel road ! I did park at the top of the driveway . Very clean cabin . The patio was great for the pup to watch the squirrels. The hot tub unfortunately needed to be better cleaned . It was a good stay and tony responded to my texts very fast .

Tony’s place was the perfect secluded getaway. A charming and cozy cabin at the end of a private drive. Everything looked just like the pictures, and we felt right at home inside. The wrap around deck was spacious, and along with the hot tub provided stellar views of the stars through the surrounding forest. A lovely place to escape for a while.

No private beach access – Trout Pond Recreation Area is a 10 minute drive away, there is a beach and hiking trails there. Our host, Tony, was extremely friendly, responsive, and helpful! Like the privacy an the being away from the public eye it was absolutely needed for me an my wife i would recommend this to anyone that has a busy lifestyle like mine an my wife

There isn’t much I can add to previous reviews. Tony was not only responsive, but proactive in reaching out to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The cabin itself is small, but comfortable, and very clean. I found it had everything we needed and the hot tub was a delight. The deck is the perfect place to chill and take in the scenery, and the property is full of native plants, which was a big perk for me. For the cooks, the kitchen has a set of mixing bowls, a set of cutting boards, and the standard non-stick pots and pans, as well as baking sheets of various sizes. No stainless or cast iron pan, but there is a grill of course. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return. Also, the hike at Trout Pond is an easy 1 mile, but definitely worth the short drive for the pretty and varied scenery.

Two of us and our dog stayed for a couple of nights at Tony’s place; we had a great trip and were able to relax in the solitude of the mountains for a few days. The cabin was surrounded by forest making it very peaceful (but easy to find). The cabin itself was clean and as described. The kitchen was well stocked with basics (utensils, pots, pans, basic spices). For those that need it, the wifi and internet are reliable and plenty fast enough for streaming (and presumable video calls, although we didn’t have any during our stay). Tony was very responsive to any questions we had. Thanks for hosting us!

Great place to retreat into the wilderness! Perfectly secluded and great hiking nearby. Be aware that most restaurants are 50 minutes out and not open during the weekdays.

Great place, as shown and described. It was surprisingly beautiful in the winter with the snow. Near some trails but not much else. Make sure to bring your own food. Noticed a weird smell in one of the rooms but could have been a fluke. Also noticed the wind made considerable noise but likely not an issue for other seasons. Thanks!

Tony’s cabin in the woods is the perfect getaway into nature. My dog and I absolutely loved walking around the woods by the cabin. One of our favorite stops was the hike to Rockcliffe Lake. I’d recommend downloading the maps.

We had a relaxing time at this cabin . Took couple of walks but mostly hanged around the fire pit during the day and the fireplace inside during night time. Defensively recommend it if you are looking for a cozy and peaceful get away. The host was very friendly and attentive.

We visited the cabin with our 6 and 2 years olds and had a lovely cozy stay. The photos really accurately depicted the allure of a beautiful wraparound porch amidst the forest and the cherry and light filled cabin. We took a last minute trip so stayed mostly around the cabin making our meals and playing games inside and on the porch.

Tony’s cabin is well equipped, comfortable and very clean. The basics for a cabin getaway are covered very well : a comfortable bed, good sized bedroom and bathroom and great water pressure that is hot instantly. I particularly appreciated how well maintained the cabin is and how clean we found it – with good towels and linen. In addition, Tony was very responsive prior and during our stay and the local recommendations he provided for hikes were helpful. Thank you for being pet friendly – we did not want our dog to miss out on the beautiful outdoors and weekend getaway. We’ll be back!!

Excellent little orange cabin. Worked perfect for our spontaneous weekend getaway with the kids. The cabin was very clean and felt very comfortable to relax in. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed to make a couple meals for our family.

Great peaceful and private modern mountain cabin stay. We (and our pup) had a fabulous and restful time. We cooked all our meals here, wifi was super fast, lots of spices, everything was extremely clean, and the host was very responsive. No AT&T/T-mobile cell service but that was fine 🙂 since we had internet. Only item to note is that the driveway is gravel and steep – we arrived after an ice storm and it took a few tries for a 2004 mom-sedan with 225K miles to make it up the hill – but 90% of the year you should be fine and the other 10% bring an all-wheel drive car for winter weather. All in all a great getaway – we went hiking nearby and enjoyed the wildlife and serenity and are thankful we got to stay here! Definitely recommend.

We drove 15 hours from Florida to enjoy the TJ/GW NF and we picked this place for it’s seclusion and privacy. Worth the drive, Tony is great, very responsive and productive communicates to ensure you have all you need. Can’t wait to be back here.

The cabin is pretty remote, but looked exactly like the photos – it’s very well designed and has two bedrooms, a wrap-around porch and looks out into a forest. You can see some of the nearby houses, but barely. When I went, it was pretty pitch black outside and you definitely need to make sure you drive slowly down the hill from the main street (Turkey Ridge) to the front door of the cabin, which is gravel/dirt. The cabin had everything we needed – great kitchen with stove, microwave and coffeemaker. The closest town feels like it’s Wardensville in Lost River and it’s about a 20-25 minute drive away. The location was great to go hiking in the morning and explore Trout Pond, the GW national park, and we even drove to Blackwater Falls a few hours away, which was awesome. Tony is very responsive over text – would definitely stay again.

If your looking to get away from it all, I highly recommend this cabin. Its secluded, warm, spotless clean and modern for a cabin in the woods. The Wi-Fi is fast (100mb) so you can stream anything you need. The stove fire is a great addition to the homeliness of the cabin. It is close to some great hiking and 12 mins from Lost City Bar and Grill where you can get a great meal and meet some nice people. Highly recommend!

Tony’s cabin is exactly as described. It’s very cozy and the location is incredibly peaceful. It’s not close to restaurants/grocery stores so you do have to plan your meals in advance but we didn’t mind that at all. Tony is very responsive and communicative throughout the whole process. Tony is a great host and very communicative; he responds very quickly to any text/emails. He checked in with us to make sure our first night went smoothly and to make himself available should we need any recommendations for activities/dining in the area. We are pretty familiar with the area and knew it’d be easier to bring all of our own food since restaraunt and groceries are limited/further away than what us city folk are used to. The cabin had basic condiments and all the items we needed to prepare meals. The cabin itself is very cozy and comfy. Beds were very comfortable and we got a good night’s sleep. Wi-Fi connection was good but I did notice it seemed to slow down randomly at times in the evening while we were browsing the internet; could be we had too many devices going at once with my son streaming as well. Cleanliness is really important to me when choosing an AirBnb and this cabin was very clean which I appreciated! It was myself, husband and 8 yo son. We also brought our pups with us and they made themselves right at home. We did walk them (on leash) and explored the wooded area around the cabin, which was lovely. We also took them to Trout Pond Recreation Area and did the easy loop trail around the pond. It’s an easy loop with only one partially rocky/step area; I was able to get a little over 2 miles in running the loop twice. Bear in mind the rec area has an entrance fee and is cash/check only, and you’ll need exact change if paying cash ($8/day to visit) at the entrance. If you’re looking for a long weekend vacation to explore the beauty of WV, this cabin is perfect especially since there’s so many parks/nature options in the area. Extra kudos for being pet friendly as well!

Our time in the cabin was lovely. The location is quiet, secluded, and cozy which is everything you want when visiting from a busy city. There are several close hikes near by in major national forests so the location was very central to what we wanted.

a great little cabin in the woods. cozy and comfortable beds. first time to this area and our family had a nice relaxing fall weekend. we hiked with our beagle and went fishing for trout. we brought all of our food with us since the grocery was a bit of a drive but the burgers at the corner mart were a hit after a long hike to the top of cranny crane overlook. Tony is quick to respond. Great stay.

Perfect cabin for a cozy and restful time away from the daily grind. It had everything you possible need and was furnished beautifully. The pup and I spent the early morning on the large wrap around deck wrapped in a blanket drinking coffee listening to the forest wake up. An absolute charming cabin! Tony was very communicative with details for the stay and included excellent recommendations for grocery stores and local hikes – Big Schloss is a must!

I was looking for a peaceful and cozy cabin in the woods with privacy and outdoor space. This place checked all my needs and wants. (Didn’t have cell service but there’s internet) Upon arrival we noticed the bubble lights, well decorated cabin with fall decor. Another guest (or host) left marshmallows and graham crackers. So I helped myself and had peaceful night. Tony’s is at the top of my list because of thoughtfulness, picturesque view from every angle and location.
