We had a wonderful stay! The house is located in a quiet, peaceful area of the island, making it the perfect place to relax. It was very spacious and had plenty of room for our family of four.

Quiet. Clean home. Multiple dining areas in the home. Spacious kitchen. Well stocked kitchen. Spacious bathrooms. Household items like paper towels and trash bags provided.
Negative:
Fire extinguisher in kitchen is expired. Twin beds were very stiff and uncomfortable, quality mattress toppers could help. Very bright early in the morning because of sky lights.

We were pleased with how nice and clean the house was. Was only in town for a short stay to visit family so house was suitable for our short stay and great price. However there was limited seating in the living room and wouldn’t have had enough room to relax if we had more than 3 people. Only television was in the living area but was fine since stayed only 2 nights. There was a small water leak in master bath from lots of rain over night. Over all experience was good and would stay again.

Positive:
When we first got here we thought the place would be small… we’ll this place is BIG. I walked in and instantly fell in love with this house. First the rooms are big and very well put together. The kitchen and little nook in the corner is my favorite. Literally my dream kitchen. Everything was easy to find. Bathrooms are nice and clean ! The yard is beautiful even though it was cold i still went outside and it was very nice to be able to walk to the little creek they had.
I will 100% book with them again def in the summer !
Unfortunately I didnt get any photos. But I would recommend this place to everyone ! I will be back next year!

I did express my concern with the home owner about the floor being very slippery in one of the bedrooms, my dad did fall but hes okay! Just sore .

It was a great cottage and perfect for our family weekend. There were a few minor things that I brought to Tony’s attention and I feel confident they will be fixed. We were first time travelers to Chincoteague and found everything easy to navigate and it was very close to a park that had an amazing sunset view. House was clean and the backyard was well kept.

This was a cute cottage that was bigger than expected! I loved the little porch on the front of the house as did my GSDs :). Even better I realized the 2nd day of my stay that you could open up the glass/screen windows on the porch for a little more or less air – brilliant!! Back porch and yard were fantastic, but given the time of year and temp didn’t spend a ton of time out there, though I did sit on the back porch for a short period of time 🙂
Negative:
Overall I thought it was great. Super gracious hosts – very responsive – checked in on me several time to see if I needed anything – so lovely. Only one thing I’d note and more of an FYI is there was no cookie sheet/baking pan. Under other circumstances, I probably wouldn’t have even noticed, but I did bring something that needed to be heated in the oven – not a knock on the property or host at all.. just something to be aware of. It was no biggie since I went to the Island Food Store to pick up a couple of things anyway, so I just grabbed some aluminum disposable pansl 🙂

The house was clean, easy to find, super spacious and the backyard is huge.
They don’t tell you that you’ll be chatting with a chat bot mostly, not a person, so some of the responses we got didn’t make sense. According to the chat bot they do not provide coffee (even though this listing says it does) and they do provide a working oven but no baking pans or anything that can be used to cook in the oven.
We would come back, the island is beautiful!

Place needs some general maintenance I guess that you can contribute it to a coastal home and we didn’t go during peak season. The main disappointment for my kids was the fire pit was no longer useable as the bottom had rusted out, exterior of the home was In need of some paint and other small repairs.

This house is a completely fine rental on Chincoteague. The location is great, the house is spacious, the kitchen is well-equipped, and, very importantly for us, it allowed dogs. The air conditioning worked perfectly and the clean up instructions are clear.
However, there are a handful of issues that could be significant for your decision. First of all, the managers will push you to their own home rental platform called Blue Maple, where you will have to sign a separate agreement to get the house manual. They also did not send an entrance code until 3 hours before we arrived, which was nerve wracking to me.
Most importantly, the photos on the listing just aren’t up to date or quite accurate. The house is older and less bright than it looks and the windows dingier. The backyard has decayed significantly. There was no picnic table there, just empty concrete, and the plants in the listing photo hide a giant propane tank sitting in the yard, which is now totally exposed. Just be aware!

Tony’s is a clean and cute three bedroom complete with linens. The house is as pictured, with three cute bedrooms down one side and a living, dining and kitchen around the front and other side. In the back there is a screened porch looking into the back yard. The backyard abuts a creek, where we saw a turtle and some birds. The yard is not fully fenced for a dog. Even if you brought some fencing to cover the wooden fence the dog would be able to get into the creek and then the neighbors yard. The backyard does have a large propane tank in the middle. There is a nice sun porch on the front, looking onto the main road. The speed limit is 25 and we were able to safely ride bikes into town. Its a 10 minute bike ride into town for groceries, shopping and restaurants. Its 6 miles to the beach, so it would be a long ride. We really enjoyed our stay in April. We saw ponies, went on a boat tour (Up the Bay), enjoyed the beach, arcade and many restaurants and shops

My friend and I stayed for 3 nights (3/11-13) in the off season. Check in was easy, the place was SPOTLESS. The cottage was as described. It is a cottage- not fancy brand new construction. It was exactly as described and perfect for our stay. We wish it had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the great back yard and fire pit and porches, but that’s spring weather on the island. My friend has stayed in many timeshares and said this place was far cleaner, so whomever he has cleaning is top notch. Comfortable beds, easy access to town, well stocked kitchen… we had a great stay. Thank you for sharing your beach cottage with us.

The reviews for this place were mixed which made me nervous. My honest feelings about this cottage were that it is cozy comfortable and feels lived in! If you want a pristine brand new model type home this might not be for you. However, I believe it was perfect! It was clean and really comfortable! I felt at home and truly appreciate that my dogs were allowed to come! The space is very spacious and I felt very comfortable there. I will be staying again!

Tony’s excellent communication was always prompt and proactive. House was basic and slightly worn around the edges -however the price reflected that small downside. The house is spacious with 3 nice bedrooms, two porches and a pleasant back yard. A group of six would have room to spread out and have some privacy if needed. Excellent value- Will return.

We had an amazing stay at this cozy cabin in Chincoteague! The location was perfect—just a short drive to the beach and local restaurants. The cabin itself was clean, well-maintained, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay, including a well-stocked kitchen and comfy beds. We especially loved relaxing on the porch, listening to the sounds of nature in the evenings.
The host was fantastic—super responsive and provided great local recommendations. We even saw some of the famous wild ponies nearby! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of Chincoteague. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

This was a great home close to town but was quiet and peaceful. Right on the creek. It made our stay just perfect! It had all the necessary amenities to make our stay easy and comfortable. Tony offered several recommendations that lived up to our expectations and then some. A unique place to visit with a lovely place to stay. Tony checked in every day to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again if/when we come back to Chincoteague.

Poorly working streaming and remote for smart TV ended up wasting over an hour on tech support, with inconsistent / gaslighting texts from the management company (“Tony”). That issue aside, the place was clean and convenient for a weekend getaway with the pups! Front Florida room with rocking chairs, and screened in back porch with lovely view, were particular plusses, as well as the dining room for meals.

This place was great, the only downside, is that if you bring pets, one side of the fence is open. Our dogs tried to go visit the neighbors a few times and we ended up having to put them on a leash when they needed to potty.
Otherwise, this was a very nice weekend getaway and it was very reasonably priced especially with pets. We enjoyed our stay.

This airbnb was very cute, and unlike the previous review, the house was very clean when we arrived. Any previous issues with the master bath seem to have been fixed. However, it does seem like one of those airbnb’s that doesn’t budget sufficient time for cleaners and relies on guests communicating issues rather than proactively assessing them. (They seemed like they would have been responsive, but do I want to complain about there only being 3 spoons? not really?) When we arrived, the dishwasher was clean, but not emptied and there was a load on bedding still in the dryer that was “done” but still damp. The cleaners had left us a note apologizing (no critique of them), but given that everything else seemed well cleaned, and that we had been offered the option of checking in an hour early, my guess is that they were not paid or allocated enough time to stay long enough to deal with common issues like previous guests not running the dishwasher. Just an annoyance considering the price.

The cottage was spacious, clean and exactly what we needed! The description was accurate! We only stayed one night but we were very comfortable and we were able to enjoy each other’s company all together in one place. We prefer staying at a residence instead of a hotel. We paid less than if we had to get multiple rooms. We were able to cook and prepare for the next leg of our trip. Our host Tony was very responsive and kept us informed along the way. We were able to go put our toes in the ocean before leaving!

We loved our stay at this cottage in Chincoteague. The location was beautiful and peaceful and easily accessible to the whole island (though be aware that it’s not particularly walkable in the immediate area due to a lack of sidewalks). The house was spotless, and we had everything we needed. Tony was very proactive and responsive. We’ll absolutely be back next time we’re back in Chincoteague.

This house is a great spot for a weekend away. The host, Tony is very responsive and communication is great but we did have some issues that for the price of this place it wasn’t worth it. when we arrived to the island we got a text right at 4pm (check in time) saying the house was ready. We drove to the house and people were still there in the drive way (I’m assuming cleaners) and so we drove back and forth on the main road and they stayed there for another 5-10 mins in there cars before leaving. The sheets they provide don’t fit the beds. We got this place because of the fire pit in the pictures in the back yard. When we went out to go have a fire we saw the fire pit was rusted out and inoperable. I told tony it was unsafe to use and he was responsive right away but that rust is not a new thing. When we went to check out , Tony sent multiple messages reminding us that there would be a fee if we weren’t out by 10 am , but the fee changed with every text. We were confused by that.

Cute little house that worked perfectly for me, my husband, our son, and my father. Just the right size for us and very comfortable. An easy drive into town and over to Assateague Island. Just be sure to bring your bug spray and cortisone for the mosquitoes if you’re there in the summer. Tony was an extremely communicative host.

Tony was friendly, offered guidance on places to stay and provided multiple occasions to access the house manual. The location was close to drive to restaurants and beach. The place could use maintenance on the house and updates in amenities offered (multiple bathrooms were reduced to one, fire pit not useable, hand towels not offered, coffee bar with K-Cups but not Keurig , etc….) Expensive rental to not have access to second bathroom. Overall, convenient location that is dog friendly with an easy to use check-in/check-out process.

Amazing stay with our pups! So peaceful and quiet. The outside space was perfect for the pups to romp and frolic in. We had such a nice time and everything was just as we expected. We will definitely be coming back in the near future!

This place was great and Tony was a fantastic host. My girlfriend and I took a spontaneous trip and Tony was able to accommodate our last-minute reservation.
Check-in was easy (he even offered the option to check in early!) and the house was easy to locate. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the linens were nice and soft. The amenities were impressive, though due to our length of stay (1 night), we did not take full advantage of them. This spot would be great for a family between the backyard, the sunroom, the back porch, and the large kitchen! We will be back for sure.
Tony’s local recommendations were on point and made for a great experience.

The master bathroom was inoperable, however, Tony apologized for the inconvenience and let us know the shower was under repair. Great place in a beautiful area. A little removed from the busy part of the downtown. Very quiet at nighttime, although maybe in the summer with more visitors around it might be noisier. Extremely clean and comfortable, would love to stay at a time where it was warm enough to enjoy all the outdoor areas.

I came down to Chincoteage for the night with my sister and am so grateful Tony’s cottage was available. Beautiful home, much larger than expected, met our needs for the weekend and only a short ride to all the festivities. My ONLY complaint would be the mosquitoes, which they included in the welcome guide from the begining so we knew what we were getting ourselves into. They will get in against all efforts. I think investing in a couple large bug lanturns would be a great idea for the front and back of the house. other than that, the stay was lovely and we’ll definitely have this home in mind next time we’re in Chincoteague 🙂

This is a very sweet place. There are modern updates and still some old town charm. The location is away from the center of town and nice and quiet.
The house is well equipped, with sheets, towels, and kitchen essentials. The host Tony was very responsive to questions.

This is a lovely spot and my family, including three children, had a wonderful time. It’s clean, quiet, attractive, and a little off the beaten path but still close to town and – best of all – a 15-20 minute drive to amazing beaches. Great, quiet location near the heart of Chincoteague Island. All restaurants/shops were within a 5-10 minute drive and the beach about a 20 minute drive. The house is clean and provided adequate room for 6 adults and 1 infant. Tony was very responsive from the time of booking until check-out.

Tony is a great host. He checked in with us several times during our stay. He also created a nice manual and left notes around the house so we were not left wondering where things are or how to work different appliances.
The property is also great. About a 10 minute bike ride from restaurants and stores on Maddox. In a quiet location with a lot of space. Great kitchen and outdoor living spaces.

Tony’s place really has it all. It’s so close to the downtown area with shops and restaurants but far enough way from it all so Thayer you aren’t kept up by traffic noise. The cottage itself is so spacious! There’s a great little sunroom out front that offers great views of sunsets. There’s also a lovely fenced in back yard, great for pets, that overlooks the creek. I definitely recommend staying with Tony. Also, I am a solo, female traveler and felt very safe here.

Great little cottage style rental. They supply most everything that you need. Both a little front porch and back porch and a little bit of creek right in the back yard. Marsh and wildlife to enjoy walking right out the door. Close to everything, but a nice quiet area. Hosts were great communicators. Just a very short drive down the road for public access to the water. Plus we were able to bring our dogs which is a huge win for us. Enjoyed our short stay!

Stay here. It’s cozy, peaceful, spotlessly tidy, and close to everything—the perfect home base from which to explore the island. The Creekside Retreat was a cozy and pleasant place to stay. The beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets available, though I’d prefer to not have to make my own vacation bed upon arrival (even though it’s “normal for the area”). The heat worked very well and the house seemed fairly insulated, considering it’s age.
Wi-Fi / Internet was quick enough for most standard things like video streaming, and the Roku TV had all the apps we’d want for different streaming services, and there was even SlingTV for some limited broadcast TV viewing.
The yard was big and there was some outdoor furniture, though we didn’t use it at all as it was chilly/windy outside this time of year, but the view of the yard and creek was nice nonetheless.
The location was very good, as we were less than 2 miles to downtown Main St and maybe about 2-3 miles from most of the businesses on Maddox Blvd. The drive to Assateague was less than 10 minutes by car. We can highly recommend spending some time there, it’s a lovely park with some nice trails and wildlife (horses and lots of birds). Last time we were here we spotted a fox and we were told there are some Kingfishers in the area this time of year, though we didn’t see any.
We can recommend Bill’s Prime for some great dinner as well as the Chincoteague Diner and Restaurant for some very good breakfast. The Island Creamery for some homemade ice cream is a must.

Tony’s home is beautifully decorated and has many amenities including a washer, dryer, high speed internet, smart tv, and newer kitchen appliances. We loved the back porch and front sunroom. They were perfect for reading a book with a blanket and sipping on a coffee ( or glass of wine!). Kitchen is fully stocked ( minus food of course ) to make a meal. Loved the tile shower and the option for heat via a switch in the one bathroom; made me feel like I was in a spa ! Tony was timely in his responses and offered great suggestions on restaurants. All in all, we had a great experience and look forward to returning!

Thoughtful touches-moderate quality body wash, shampoo, Starbucks coffee.
Stylish decor, two porches (back and front) for relaxing. It’s a nice little cottage big enough for six people if two are sleeping in two king beds and two in twins.
Two parking spaces.
The only beach we found is in Assateague National Park and requires fee…$10 daily or $25 for week. Good prices. Assateague is listed in Condé Nast as best Maryland beach. There are great walking trails, as well.
Because we were all seniors, we actually purchased our annual pass for $20!!
Overall, this is a pleasant stay with some great features.
P.S. If you need dark to sleep, as I do, this may not work.
There are skylights, transparent window treatments and solar lights (?) (in two rooms) that shine brightly as soon as sun is up. You can’t turn them off. They do go off at night but the sun rises early and while having a bright location is definitely a plus, you will awaken with the sun.
Bring your pillow if you can’t sleep on flat one. May also want to bring a throw in case weather is cool. There is only one in master bedroom.
Mattresses in smaller bedroom with twins are particularly hard and uncomfortable.

This home is a little cottage gem. We loved the discounted off season rates that made this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home an excellent deal. From the moment we booked, Tony provided excellent communication. The home has a comprehensive handbook that covers all the questions one might have about the home and the area. We loved the natural light in the home provided via sky portals in each room. However, if you are looking to sleep in, you might want to pack a sleep mask because the morning sun does hit the bedrooms. We loved the updated master bathroom that was exceptionally clean. The cottage has extra amenities with cookware, towels, and sheets provided which made traveling a little lighter and easier. We found the location of the home to provide easy access to downtown and to the the park. We really enjoyed our two night stay and could see ourselves returning with our daughter since the cottage is very comfortable and clean.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Not only is this the only listing I saw on the island where towels and sheets were included, but all three bedrooms were good-sized and comfortable. I imagine this spot is good for families because there is a dining room table and an eat-in kitchen. There’s also a great dining area on the back porch when the weather is warm! The backyard was amazing; I’m just bummed that the weather didn’t cooperate with us having a fire in the fire pit.
We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Chincoteague! It’s the perfect quiet, cozy spot for a relaxing vacation, but close enough to all the restaurants and sites in town. The hosts also left thoughtful restaurant recommendations for us!

It’s a spacious little house a super short drive from everything–downtown, the park, restaurants–and would be great for a family or group of friends visiting. Heaters in the bathrooms were so so nice for hot showers/bath after being out in nature on a rainy windy March day! Firepit-dish was a nice excuse to hang out at night by the creek, which also was full of birdsongs in the morning, very relaxing. Tony was always (remotely) available and communicative.

Spent a long weekend at the cottage with two friends all in need of a relaxing getaway and that’s just what the space gave us. The cottage was incredibly clean and spacious with multiple common spaces and porches, there’s enough space for a family or small group of friends to be together but also retreat to a room of their own. It also gave us some of the feelings of isolation without being completely isolated, there are neighboors nearby but the street is incredibly quiet and the sounds of nature around are what you here. The creek in the backyard is beautiful to sit by in the morning sun. I highly reccomend checking this place out, great hiking nearby, wild ponnies!! , salt marsh, all sorts of things to check out. Hosts were also very friendly and communicative, they checked in to make sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay, definitely would like to come again!

Tony’s place is very cute, and was a nice home base for our winter beach trip with an energetic 2 year old and a large pup! We enjoyed the banquette seating in the kitchen, and found all the supplies needed to cook several meals. Tony provided a ton of suggestions for outdoor activities in the Chincoteague area, and the restaurant recommendations were spot on (for what was open). Additionally, we could tell that the house was meticulously cleaned prior to our arrival! We’d definitely stay here again, but would suggest an update to the master bedroom mattress.

This was our first trip since the start of our pandemic and we could not have chosen a better place for our getaway. The house is charming but also modern and updated; it was sparkling clean and neat; and it had everything we could need and more. Our two young kids adored the house, especially all the great hide and seek spots and the children’s books on the shelf. The host is fantastic — proactively checked in and was responsive to questions. The house is very easy to get to and in a great location. Even in the freezing winter, we had a blast in Chincoteague and look forward to returning!

This house is a gem, even out of season. The house is larger than expected with plenty of space for a family, hot showers and comfortable beds. The creek at the end of the garden was a real highlight and we loved seeing herons and ducks from the screened porch. We particularly liked the breakfast area in the kitchen and ate all our meals there. The area is beautiful and the house is well placed for a visit to Chincoteague centre and Assateague Island and the nature reserve. We look forward to visiting again in the spring or summer.

This was the perfect winter getaway. The house is adorable and beautifully renovated. The kitchen has all you need and there are sheets and towels! We especially loved the 70’s dinnerware and the coffee bar. This was a great place to stay with a dog and there is an awesome dog park with a little hike through the woods just down the road. Tony was very helpful and communicative and made sure we had all we needed. Would definitely recommend this place and might stay here again in the future!

We had a wonderful stay! The house is located in a quiet, peaceful area of the island, making it the perfect place to relax. It was very spacious and had plenty of room for our family of four.

However there was limited seating in the living room and wouldn’t have had enough room to relax if we had more than 3 people. Only television was in the living area but was fine since stayed only 2 nights. There was a small water leak in master bath from lots of rain over night. Over all experience was good and would stay again.

When we first got here we thought the place would be small... we'll this place is BIG. I walked in and instantly fell in love with this house. First the rooms are big and very well put together. The kitchen and little nook in the corner is my favorite. Literally my dream kitchen. Everything was easy to find. Bathrooms are nice and clean ! The yard is beautiful even though it was cold i still went outside and it was very nice to be able to walk to the little creek they had.
I will 100% book with them again def in the summer !

It was a great cottage and perfect for our family weekend. There were a few minor things that I brought to Tony's attention and I feel confident they will be fixed. We were first time travelers to Chincoteague and found everything easy to navigate and it was very close to a park that had an amazing sunset view. House was clean and the backyard was well kept.

This was a cute cottage that was bigger than expected! I loved the little porch on the front of the house as did my GSDs :). Even better I realized the 2nd day of my stay that you could open up the glass/screen windows on the porch for a little more or less air - brilliant!! Back porch and yard were fantastic, but given the time of year and temp didn't spend a ton of time out there, though I did sit on the back porch for a short period of time 🙂
Negative:
Overall I thought it was great. Super gracious hosts - very responsive - checked in on me several time to see if I needed anything - so lovely. Only one thing I'd note and more of an FYI is there was no cookie sheet/baking pan. Under other circumstances, I probably wouldn't have even noticed, but I did bring something that needed to be heated in the oven - not a knock on the property or host at all.. just something to be aware of. It was no biggie since I went to the Island Food Store to pick up a couple of things anyway, so I just grabbed some aluminum disposable pansl 🙂

The house was clean, easy to find, super spacious and the backyard is huge.
They don’t tell you that you’ll be chatting with a chat bot mostly, not a person, so some of the responses we got didn’t make sense. Place needs some general maintenance I guess that you can contribute it to a coastal home and we didn’t go during peak season. The main disappointment for my kids was the fire pit was no longer useable as the bottom had rusted out, exterior of the home was In need of some paint and other small repairs.

This house is a completely fine rental on Chincoteague. The location is great, the house is spacious, the kitchen is well-equipped, and, very importantly for us, it allowed dogs. The air conditioning worked perfectly and the clean up instructions are clear.
However, there are a handful of issues that could be significant for your decision. First of all, the managers will push you to their own home rental platform called Blue Maple, where you will have to sign a separate agreement to get the house manual. They also did not send an entrance code until 3 hours before we arrived, which was nerve wracking to me.
Most importantly, the photos on the listing just aren't up to date or quite accurate. The house is older and less bright than it looks and the windows dingier. The backyard has decayed significantly. There was no picnic table there, just empty concrete, and the plants in the listing photo hide a giant propane tank sitting in the yard, which is now totally exposed. Just be aware!

Tony's is a clean and cute three bedroom complete with linens. The house is as pictured, with three cute bedrooms down one side and a living, dining and kitchen around the front and other side. In the back there is a screened porch looking into the back yard. The backyard abuts a creek, where we saw a turtle and some birds. The yard is not fully fenced for a dog. Even if you brought some fencing to cover the wooden fence the dog would be able to get into the creek and then the neighbors yard. The backyard does have a large propane tank in the middle. There is a nice sun porch on the front, looking onto the main road. The speed limit is 25 and we were able to safely ride bikes into town. Its a 10 minute bike ride into town for groceries, shopping and restaurants. Its 6 miles to the beach, so it would be a long ride. We really enjoyed our stay in April. We saw ponies, went on a boat tour (Up the Bay), enjoyed the beach, arcade and many restaurants and shops

My friend and I stayed for 3 nights (3/11-13) in the off season. Check in was easy, the place was SPOTLESS. The cottage was as described. It is a cottage- not fancy brand new construction. It was exactly as described and perfect for our stay. We wish it had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the great back yard and fire pit and porches, but that’s spring weather on the island. My friend has stayed in many timeshares and said this place was far cleaner, so whomever he has cleaning is top notch. Comfortable beds, easy access to town, well stocked kitchen… we had a great stay. Thank you for sharing your beach cottage with us.

The reviews for this place were mixed which made me nervous. My honest feelings about this cottage were that it is cozy comfortable and feels lived in! If you want a pristine brand new model type home this might not be for you. However, I believe it was perfect! It was clean and really comfortable! I felt at home and truly appreciate that my dogs were allowed to come! The space is very spacious and I felt very comfortable there. I will be staying again!

We had an amazing stay at this cozy cabin in Chincoteague! The location was perfect—just a short drive to the beach and local restaurants. The cabin itself was clean, well-maintained, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay, including a well-stocked kitchen and comfy beds. We especially loved relaxing on the porch, listening to the sounds of nature in the evenings.
The host was fantastic—super responsive and provided great local recommendations. We even saw some of the famous wild ponies nearby! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of Chincoteague. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

This was a great home close to town but was quiet and peaceful. Right on the creek. It made our stay just perfect! It had all the necessary amenities to make our stay easy and comfortable. Tony offered several recommendations that lived up to our expectations and then some. A unique place to visit with a lovely place to stay. Tony checked in every day to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again if/when we come back to Chincoteague.

Poorly working streaming and remote for smart TV ended up wasting over an hour on tech support, with inconsistent / gaslighting texts from the management company ("Tony"). That issue aside, the place was clean and convenient for a weekend getaway with the pups! Front Florida room with rocking chairs, and screened in back porch with lovely view, were particular plusses, as well as the dining room for meals.

This place was great, the only downside, is that if you bring pets, one side of the fence is open. Our dogs tried to go visit the neighbors a few times and we ended up having to put them on a leash when they needed to potty.
Otherwise, this was a very nice weekend getaway and it was very reasonably priced especially with pets. We enjoyed our stay.

This airbnb was very cute, and unlike the previous review, the house was very clean when we arrived. Any previous issues with the master bath seem to have been fixed. However, it does seem like one of those airbnb's that doesn't budget sufficient time for cleaners and relies on guests communicating issues rather than proactively assessing them. (They seemed like they would have been responsive, but do I want to complain about there only being 3 spoons? not really?) When we arrived, the dishwasher was clean, but not emptied and there was a load on bedding still in the dryer that was "done" but still damp. The cleaners had left us a note apologizing (no critique of them), but given that everything else seemed well cleaned, and that we had been offered the option of checking in an hour early, my guess is that they were not paid or allocated enough time to stay long enough to deal with common issues like previous guests not running the dishwasher. Just an annoyance considering the price.

The cottage was spacious, clean and exactly what we needed! The description was accurate! We only stayed one night but we were very comfortable and we were able to enjoy each other’s company all together in one place. We prefer staying at a residence instead of a hotel. We paid less than if we had to get multiple rooms. We were able to cook and prepare for the next leg of our trip. Our host Tony was very responsive and kept us informed along the way. We were able to go put our toes in the ocean before leaving!

We loved our stay at this cottage in Chincoteague. The location was beautiful and peaceful and easily accessible to the whole island (though be aware that it's not particularly walkable in the immediate area due to a lack of sidewalks). The house was spotless, and we had everything we needed. Tony was very proactive and responsive. We'll absolutely be back next time we're back in Chincoteague.

This house is a great spot for a weekend away. The host, Tony is very responsive and communication is great but we did have some issues that for the price of this place it wasn’t worth it. when we arrived to the island we got a text right at 4pm (check in time) saying the house was ready. We drove to the house and people were still there in the drive way (I’m assuming cleaners) and so we drove back and forth on the main road and they stayed there for another 5-10 mins in there cars before leaving. The sheets they provide don’t fit the beds. We got this place because of the fire pit in the pictures in the back yard. When we went out to go have a fire we saw the fire pit was rusted out and inoperable. I told tony it was unsafe to use and he was responsive right away but that rust is not a new thing. When we went to check out , Tony sent multiple messages reminding us that there would be a fee if we weren’t out by 10 am , but the fee changed with every text. We were confused by that.

Cute little house that worked perfectly for me, my husband, our son, and my father. Just the right size for us and very comfortable. An easy drive into town and over to Assateague Island. Just be sure to bring your bug spray and cortisone for the mosquitoes if you're there in the summer. Tony was an extremely communicative host.

Tony was friendly, offered guidance on places to stay and provided multiple occasions to access the house manual. The location was close to drive to restaurants and beach. The place could use maintenance on the house and updates in amenities offered (multiple bathrooms were reduced to one, fire pit not useable, hand towels not offered, coffee bar with K-Cups but not Keurig , etc….) Expensive rental to not have access to second bathroom. Overall, convenient location that is dog friendly with an easy to use check-in/check-out process.

This place was great and Tony was a fantastic host. My girlfriend and I took a spontaneous trip and Tony was able to accommodate our last-minute reservation.
Check-in was easy (he even offered the option to check in early!) and the house was easy to locate. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the linens were nice and soft. The amenities were impressive, though due to our length of stay (1 night), we did not take full advantage of them. This spot would be great for a family between the backyard, the sunroom, the back porch, and the large kitchen! We will be back for sure.
Tony's local recommendations were on point and made for a great experience.

Beautiful home, much larger than expected, met our needs for the weekend and only a short ride to all the festivities. My ONLY complaint would be the mosquitoes, which they included in the welcome guide from the begining so we knew what we were getting ourselves into. They will get in against all efforts. I think investing in a couple large bug lanturns would be a great idea for the front and back of the house. other than that, the stay was lovely and we'll definitely have this home in mind next time we're in Chincoteague 🙂

Tony’s place really has it all. It’s so close to the downtown area with shops and restaurants but far enough way from it all so Thayer you aren’t kept up by traffic noise. The cottage itself is so spacious! There’s a great little sunroom out front that offers great views of sunsets. There’s also a lovely fenced in back yard, great for pets, that overlooks the creek. I definitely recommend staying with Tony. Also, I am a solo, female traveler and felt very safe here.

Tony’s cottage was super cozy and in a great location. Tony was a great host and offered some amazing local restaurants (Amarin Coffee House and Ropewalk Restaurant were both a hit)! We visited during off season but we were still able to visit Chincoteague and see the wild horses. We would def consider renting again!

The Creekside Retreat was a cozy and pleasant place to stay. The beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets available, though I'd prefer to not have to make my own vacation bed upon arrival (even though it's "normal for the area"). The heat worked very well and the house seemed fairly insulated, considering it's age.
Wi-Fi / Internet was quick enough for most standard things like video streaming, and the Roku TV had all the apps we'd want for different streaming services, and there was even SlingTV for some limited broadcast TV viewing.
The yard was big and there was some outdoor furniture, though we didn't use it at all as it was chilly/windy outside this time of year, but the view of the yard and creek was nice nonetheless.
The location was very good, as we were less than 2 miles to downtown Main St and maybe about 2-3 miles from most of the businesses on Maddox Blvd. The drive to Assateague was less than 10 minutes by car. We can highly recommend spending some time there, it's a lovely park with some nice trails and wildlife (horses and lots of birds). Last time we were here we spotted a fox and we were told there are some Kingfishers in the area this time of year, though we didn't see any.
We can recommend Bill's Prime for some great dinner as well as the Chincoteague Diner and Restaurant for some very good breakfast. The Island Creamery for some homemade ice cream is a must.

Tony’s home is beautifully decorated and has many amenities including a washer, dryer, high speed internet, smart tv, and newer kitchen appliances. We loved the back porch and front sunroom. They were perfect for reading a book with a blanket and sipping on a coffee ( or glass of wine!). Kitchen is fully stocked ( minus food of course ) to make a meal. Loved the tile shower and the option for heat via a switch in the one bathroom; made me feel like I was in a spa ! Tony was timely in his responses and offered great suggestions on restaurants. All in all, we had a great experience and look forward to returning!

This was a lovely place to stay- an older home that’s been thoughtfully and smartly renovated. It’s spacious and airy- great kitchen and baths. Very quiet. Tony was great- very communicative- and helpful with all information and directions. The home was immaculate and very clean. Loved being able to bring our dog, too. We will definitely return!

We loved the screened porches, and the property was beautiful! Perfect for visits to Chincoteague and Assateague. Tony's communication was exceptional, and we had a great stay in this charming cottage. The mattresses left a little something to be desired comfort-wise, but I would definitely visit again!

Creekside Cottage is a nice place to stay if visiting Chincoteague. The house and yard are quite spacious with good amenities and wifi. We would definitely recommend staying here if you're planning a visit to Chincoteague

Great location - beautiful and quiet. House was surprisingly spacious. Communication with the host was outstanding. Though our stay was short (only two nights) we felt at home in this cottage and we would certainly stay here again in the future.

Great place to stay on the north side of Chincoteague, only 15 minutes from the beach, very active host...super responsive with a desire to make your stay enjoyable. Kids loved the space and so did the pup.

Very nice quiet place with a nice backyard and firepit. Beds are a little firm yet bouncy to sit on. Tv is on the small side but has roku so you can watch whatever. Good size kitchen. Nice screened in porches. Good house layout. Overall a good stay. Owner is accommodating and kind.

Well situated location just north of the more busy areas on the island - this house is quiet with nice yard for kids, dog or just grilling (note, a yard is not common). Large Kitchen with nice eat-in corner and screened front and back porches.

Very solid place and location on the island. AC works great in the heat and humidity! Only setback was the mosquitos can swarm, of course nothing that can really be done about that this time of year. Hard to use the yard or let the dogs out certain times of day. Otherwise great stay.

This cottage was perfect for our family with 4 kids. There was plenty of space, and fun nooks to eat or watch the sunset. We had a campfire, with the wood provided, and the linens and towels provided were clean and comfy. Everything was ready to go for us! We’ll be back.

Many high end features in kitchen, master bath and throughout house in form of decorations.
Thoughtful touches-moderate quality body wash, shampoo, Starbucks coffee.
Stylish decor, two porches (back and front) for relaxing. It’s a nice little cottage big enough for six people if two are sleeping in two king beds and two in twins.
Two parking spaces.
The only beach we found is in Assateague National Park and requires fee…$10 daily or $25 for week. Good prices. Assateague is listed in Condé Nast as best Maryland beach. There are great walking trails, as well.
Because we were all seniors, we actually purchased our annual pass for $20!!
Overall, this is a pleasant stay with some great features.
P.S. If you need dark to sleep, as I do, this may not work.
There are skylights, transparent window treatments and solar lights (?) (in two rooms) that shine brightly as soon as sun is up. You can’t turn them off. They do go off at night but the sun rises early and while having a bright location is definitely a plus, you will awaken with the sun.
Bring your pillow if you can’t sleep on flat one. May also want to bring a throw in case weather is cool. There is only one in master bedroom.
Mattresses in smaller bedroom with twins are particularly hard and uncomfortable.

This home is a little cottage gem. We loved the discounted off season rates that made this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home an excellent deal. From the moment we booked, Tony provided excellent communication. The home has a comprehensive handbook that covers all the questions one might have about the home and the area. We loved the natural light in the home provided via sky portals in each room. However, if you are looking to sleep in, you might want to pack a sleep mask because the morning sun does hit the bedrooms. We loved the updated master bathroom that was exceptionally clean. The cottage has extra amenities with cookware, towels, and sheets provided which made traveling a little lighter and easier. We found the location of the home to provide easy access to downtown and to the the park. We really enjoyed our two night stay and could see ourselves returning with our daughter since the cottage is very comfortable and clean.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Not only is this the only listing I saw on the island where towels and sheets were included, but all three bedrooms were good-sized and comfortable. I imagine this spot is good for families because there is a dining room table and an eat-in kitchen. There’s also a great dining area on the back porch when the weather is warm! The backyard was amazing; I’m just bummed that the weather didn’t cooperate with us having a fire in the fire pit.
We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Chincoteague! It’s the perfect quiet, cozy spot for a relaxing vacation, but close enough to all the restaurants and sites in town. The hosts also left thoughtful restaurant recommendations for us!

It's a spacious little house a super short drive from everything--downtown, the park, restaurants--and would be great for a family or group of friends visiting. Heaters in the bathrooms were so so nice for hot showers/bath after being out in nature on a rainy windy March day! Firepit-dish was a nice excuse to hang out at night by the creek, which also was full of birdsongs in the morning, very relaxing. Tony was always (remotely) available and communicative.

Spent a long weekend at the cottage with two friends all in need of a relaxing getaway and that's just what the space gave us. The cottage was incredibly clean and spacious with multiple common spaces and porches, there's enough space for a family or small group of friends to be together but also retreat to a room of their own. It also gave us some of the feelings of isolation without being completely isolated, there are neighboors nearby but the street is incredibly quiet and the sounds of nature around are what you here. The creek in the backyard is beautiful to sit by in the morning sun. I highly reccomend checking this place out, great hiking nearby, wild ponnies!! , salt marsh, all sorts of things to check out. Hosts were also very friendly and communicative, they checked in to make sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay, definitely would like to come again!

Tony's place was very clean and had quick access to everything in town. The place was very dog friendly, and Tony always was quick to respond to any questions. The space is very relaxing, and offers multiple areas to just sit and enjoy the views and unwind. We're very happy with our stay here!

Tony's place is very cute, and was a nice home base for our winter beach trip with an energetic 2 year old and a large pup! We enjoyed the banquette seating in the kitchen, and found all the supplies needed to cook several meals. Tony provided a ton of suggestions for outdoor activities in the Chincoteague area, and the restaurant recommendations were spot on (for what was open). Additionally, we could tell that the house was meticulously cleaned prior to our arrival! We'd definitely stay here again, but would suggest an update to the master bedroom mattress.

This was our first trip since the start of our pandemic and we could not have chosen a better place for our getaway. The house is charming but also modern and updated; it was sparkling clean and neat; and it had everything we could need and more. Our two young kids adored the house, especially all the great hide and seek spots and the children’s books on the shelf. The host is fantastic — proactively checked in and was responsive to questions. The house is very easy to get to and in a great location. Even in the freezing winter, we had a blast in Chincoteague and look forward to returning!

This house is a gem, even out of season. The house is larger than expected with plenty of space for a family, hot showers and comfortable beds. The creek at the end of the garden was a real highlight and we loved seeing herons and ducks from the screened porch. We particularly liked the breakfast area in the kitchen and ate all our meals there. The area is beautiful and the house is well placed for a visit to Chincoteague centre and Assateague Island and the nature reserve. We look forward to visiting again in the spring or summer.

This was the perfect winter getaway. The house is adorable and beautifully renovated. The kitchen has all you need and there are sheets and towels! We especially loved the 70's dinnerware and the coffee bar. This was a great place to stay with a dog and there is an awesome dog park with a little hike through the woods just down the road. Tony was very helpful and communicative and made sure we had all we needed. Would definitely recommend this place and might stay here again in the future!
