Fantastic views!
The views and amenities at the cabin are even better than advertised. The cabin manual included so much information for floating/fishing the river.
Tony was very helpful and responsive!
My family and I only stayed one day, because we were passing through. However, our stay was great. Tony always communicated and checked on us. They are great host. I loved their cabin. It was very clean, beautiful, and spacious. I would love to stay again. Also the view on the way to the cabin was amazing. I love the mountains. Thank you again!
Absolutely perfect stay! The place was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive. Highly recommend—we would definitely stay here again!
Tony was very responsible and sent frequent check ins! Absolutely loved it here, good spot to getaway from. We lost water our first morning but Tony was able to quickly remedy this for us!

My group and I had a wonderful stay at Raccoon Chalet! The house itself was exactly as pictured and perfect for our group. Tony was an excellent host, communicative throughout our stay and quick to respond to every message. It’s clear he cares about his guests having a great experience. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway or for a trip to hike on the trails in the area like we did!

As expected. Very nicely appointed for a cabin in the woods. Did not use the pool or other amenities but they looked nice.

Amazing host and home!
A lovely place to get away without being too remote. It has everything you need for a quiet get-away. Amazing views, once the clouds and fog lifted. Was able to enjoy the firepit one night but unfortunately we had a lot of hard rain the next night and unable to enjoy the outdoors. Place is minimalist but very clean. My only suggestion is to change out chairs indoors for a more comfy couch/chairs in case you are rained in and want to snuggle up. The
Farmer's Daughter Market & Butcher in town was a great place to pick up some steaks to cook on the grill and enjoy. I would suggest ordering in advance.
We met here for a family get-together for 8 of us (3 couples, 2 individuals).
This very nice home in located in the mountains on Shannondale (about a 30 min drive from Harper's Ferry). It has everything you would want and more (very nice accommodations, plenty of room for everyone, very quiet/peaceful location with beautiful views of the valley below, propane grill, large dining table and kitchen space, plenty of kitchen dishes/glasses/etc..., outdoor balcony with plenty of chairs/rockers, great hot tub).
This home was on the more expensive side for the area ($1200+ per night), but the interior of the home was certainly top notch (clearly lots of upgrades/renovations from original home construction).
One negative - the 5th bedroom (with the bunk beds) was too hot to be comfortable. We did note that the A/C floor vent was located under the bed. Not sure if this was the problem or not?
Overall, we liked this home/location and enjoyed our stay.
