After leaving a job and accepting another, months after a divorce, I just decided to get away for a week. This was the perfect place. I didn’t want anything close to anywhere. I didn’t want to interact with other people. I just wanted the woods, a fire, And a few friends to come visit on the weekend. This place delivered. The cabin is spacious and warm. Hot tub… hot. Look outside any window, and all you’ll see is trees, which is what I wanted, needed. The master bed was a bit saggy, but the rest were more than fine. I added an extra day to my trip because I didn’t want to go home yet. Berkeley Springs is a short, 25 minute drive, but only because the roads are so windy, otherwise it would be 10. I left some spices, a full bundle of wood, and the hope that others enjoy this place as much as me behind when I left. I have a photo album of memories, lots of songs, and a weekend of friendship to take along with me.

Tony's place was super cozy, peaceful, and secluded—the perfect weekend getaway. We especially loved all of the amenities and the spacious kitchen, which made cooking together easy and enjoyable. Unfortunately, it rained for our entire stay, so we weren't able to build a fire or go tubing. If you're planning to float the river, I'd recommend bringing your own tubes, as the two provided were on the smaller side. Tony was incredibly responsive, friendly, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. We'd definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back for a longer visit—hopefully with better weather next time!

The stay at the canopy was beyond amazing words cannot describe the places, absolutely beautiful and a good place to get away when you get there it’s just like home. They have the hot tub warm, the fire pit and the swing are big plus this place is beyond beautiful and a great place to make memories I would definitely recommend and will be coming again!

Great, open floor plan and charming retreat house. Although a bit remote, it was the perfect get-a-way if your looking for peace and quiet. Tony was very attentive without being intrusive. Everything was described as listed. Lovely little cabin in the woods.

loved our stay!

The home & view was beautiful as described. The towels were stained, coffee pot did not work, stove top did not work. We called for instructions to operate stove and no one called us back. This was upsetting because we were hosting our family for dinner. Entry code to door did not work if not for housekeeping leaving their key we would not have gotten inside. Molded shower curtain in guest bathroom it looked terrible. Pot found in cabinet with water in it, chipped dishes and broken wine glass, dirty silverware and limited silverware. Dust and bugs found in kitchen on hanging shelves. Garbage in garage that smelled. Dining tables finish was terribly worn.

This stay was perfect for our golf weekend. Host was very responsive. Check in/out was easy. Great location. We plan on returning.

This stay was a bit different from our other vacations but 1000% worth going outside of my norm. Tony is an exceptional host who checked in every step of the way and provided some amazing food recommendations. The cabin was cozy, stocked with essentials and in a perfect location to get into the surrounding towns. Will be staying again if we return to the mountains.

Great quiet stay for a weekend getaway. Cabin was very clean and comfortable, with well-stocked kitchen amenities and fireplace. Tony was very communicative and responsive.

Great location and lovely place to relax.
As other mention, the couch in the lounge area isn't good - my friend couldn't sit on it at all -but we spent all our time in the screened in porch, which was beautiful, even in the rain.
It is close to Berkeley Springs and we found a lovely farmers market on Sunday after checking out.
The A/C rumbling on and off did in the night did wake me a few times. Recommend earplugs if you are also a light sleeper.
The beds were lovely and comfortable. A king and queen in separate rooms was part of our decision as my friend and I were prioritizing rest and relaxation.
Kitchen was well stocked with pans and plates etc., even some spices.
There's a coffee maker that uses basket filters and ground coffee.
Linens seemed very clean.
The road to the house was very accessible, too. Several in the area suggest 4-wheel drive but this was fine in a car with low clearance.

This place had plenty of room for our family of six. We appreciated the amount of space and the well stocked kitchen. Was not a huge fan of the location, as it’s surrounded by several homes in a neighborhood (I think we anticipated a more remote location). There’s nothing wrong with it, just wasn’t what we anticipated. Host is proactive, very responsive and friendly!

I've never experienced such quiet in the woods at night. it was very peaceful.

Great location. Super quiet and peaceful, and my friend and I both slept really well. The beds were super comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and there was plenty of space for lounging. Excellent choice for a stay in the area!

Unbelievable views and worth the drive! Our family booked early and Tony was a great host throughout the whole process. Perfect spot to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary!

The house was very clean and well equipped. There was plenty of room for everyone and we enjoyed spending the evenings on the screened-in porch. Would definitely stay here again.

What an absolutely beautiful house at the top of the hill in Harpers Ferry. A block away from an amazing bakery (with pretzel pepperoni rolls). The house was immediately comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax for a weekend trip. The kitchen was beautifully appointed, with everything we needed to make breakfast and lunches every day. The kitchen actually has me shopping for a new oven/cooktop at home because this one was so great. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch in the huge porch swing with a book in the evenings, or pouring ourselves into a warm bath in the clawfoot tub. Plenty of hot water, and great water pressure. My initial thought was that the beds were too soft, but we all slept amazingly.
