To help ensure guest safety, there are four exterior cameras positioned around the home: one overlooking the front, one at the entrance, one on the deck, and one near the firepit area. Rest assured, there are no cameras inside the home.

Longer Stays
For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.

1. The Highlands Golf Club at Fisher Mountain (distance from house - 30 mins): Crafted by renowned designer Bill Ward, this premier course is consistently celebrated for its challenge and beauty. Ranked 2nd on GolfPass’ Golfers’ Choice list of the “Top 50 U.S. Courses” and recognized as West Virginia’s second most challenging golf course, it offers an unforgettable experience for golfers of all skill levels.

West-Whitehill Winery (distance from house - 45 mins): Located in Hardy county, our vineyard lies in a unique 'rain shadow', which receives less rain than anywhere else in the state, making it more ideal for growing grapes than surrounding areas. Since 1981, we have grown French-American hybrid varietals such as Chambourcin, Seyval, Aurore and Vidal Blanc.

3. Breezewood Adventures (distance from house - 45 mins): Guided Fishing, private camping or Canoe and Kayak rentals - they offer trips from Big Bend through the Trough on over 50 miles of river. Whether you are looking for a 2 hour trip or a 2-3 day trip, we have options available for your next adventure.

4. Lost River State Park (distance from house - 1 hour): Offers hiking trails, picnicking areas, and opportunities for wildlife viewing.

5. Hidden Trails Stables (distance from house - 1 hour): See the views at Lost River from a whole new perspective. Experience horseback riding on beautiful wooded trails with scenic overlooks and panoramic views. Don’t be scared about riding alone—expert guides will accompany you.

6. Smoke Hole Caverns (distance from house - 1 hour): Smoke Hole Caverns is a must visit. The bizarre-looking formations of minerals look like a scene from a lost world of an old science fiction movie. Fun for the entire family!

7. Seneca Rocks (distance from house - 1 hour): known for its stunning views, challenging rock climbing, and hiking opportunities. Visitors can hike to the top for panoramic vistas, while experienced climbers can tackle technical routes on the crag's sheer walls.

8. South Branch of the Potomac River (distance from house - 1 hour): Ideal for fishing, kayaking, and canoeing, the river is a peaceful spot for water activities.
