Great little place for a mini trip away. Host was really helpful and great when I had questions. The house was adorable and was perfect for us. Hot tub on the deck was wonderful. Lots of little extra items in case you forgot things so that was a huge plus. Highly recommend!

Response from Blue Maple

Thanks for staying at Bobcat Retreat. Glad the place was perfect for your mini trip, the hot tub on the deck was wonderful, and the extra supplies were helpful. Appreciate the recommendation — we’d love to welcome you back anytime.

We had a lovely getaway here in June, 2026. The house was as described, and suited us well. The creek out back was somewhat disappointing, pretty murky water and at least 2 discarded tires visible from the access steps. That being said, we didn't spend much time at the house during the day, and it was a fantastic location for seeing much of the area. We visited Harper's Ferry, Antietam National Battlefield, Shepherdstown, Martinsburg, Berkeley Springs, and Cacapon State Park. It was a wonderful vacation, and we would consider returning here or to another property managed by Tony. He was very responsive and helpful with everything.

Thanks for staying at River Blue. Glad the house suited your trip and that it was a great base for visiting Harper’s Ferry, Antietam, Shepherdstown, Martinsburg, Berkeley Springs, and Cacapon State Park. Appreciate you letting us know about the creek — we’ll have the access area checked and address the tires. Happy Tony was helpful. We’d love to welcome you back anytime.

We had a great time! We had everything we needed for our stay. I would recommend more seating in the living room and a second tv in the downstairs living area. Other than that, we had no complaints.

We loved the Yurt! Saw so many stars at night. The nearby creek was amazing and we recommend checking out Mack’s Bingo for dinner and doing a glass blowing class at Dakota’s. Tony was very responsive and helpful!

Only 2 hours from Washington, DC in The Woods community, the cabin is quiet and fairly private after a scenic drive through the mountains of West Virginia. I brought my dog for a quiet weekend over 4th of July Weekend - though the local fireworks show happened just over the hill from the Cabin, the morning and evening walks were much cooler than in the city. My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

The perfect place to stay. It was private and very clean. Everything you could possibly need is in the house. I Would stay here again and recommend it to anyone else passing through!

This was a great place for a weekend getaway with friends. There was plenty of space for all of us and stunning views from the porch. Also the waterfall nearby was a great little hike and spot to spend a hot afternoon.

The cabin is beautiful and even better than pictured. Tony and team are extremely responsive and provided immediate help when needed and regularly checked in to ensure everything was going well. 5 stars all around!

this was a great get away. remote location with comfortable accommodations. a few things I want to highlight.

the mattress was new and very comfortable, great bedding.

it was 100+ degrees outside and the AC held up.

wardensville was a cute tiny little town with enough stuff to enjoy an hour or two.

communication with Tony was as good as it gets on ABNB.

overall, would definitely go back, looking forward to booking in the fall.

Incredible place! My wife and I wanted to get out of town for the 4th of July and this cozy cabin was the perfect peaceful place. It's quiet and we loved the solitude while still being a short drive from Berkeley Springs for groceries and dinner. The record player in the living space was a nice touch considering my record haul from the antique stores in the area. It was too hot to enjoy many of the outdoor spaces but we will definitely be re-booking in the fall for the porch, hot tub, and fire pit.

Great place! Highly recommend. Everything was as described and the house was the perfect, quiet gem. The host was very responsive and the house manual had a lot of useful information, too.

While the photos make it look a bit more airy and spacious than it really is, it was comfortable for what we needed! It had everything for a great getaway weekend and was an excellent location to local trails and pond, but over all it felt a bit more lived-in and dark than the photos and description made it seem. I think a printed house manual would be a great addition in case folks aren’t able to access the downloaded digital manual upon arrival! We had a great time and truly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and gorgeous deck! Thank you Tony and team for a great stay!

Absolutely excellent. I have been to many Airbnbs and this was one of the best. Private river access, gorgeous location, fully stacked kitchen. We had an excellent time!

Beautiful large home above a golf community. Home is located at the very top of the hill of The Woods. It was spacious with 5 separate bedrooms, multiple decks with scenic views and a screened in porch. The home was clean and prepared to entertain dogs and children.
The sports center is a 8 minute drive away and you must request passes for each member of your party a day in advance in order to use the pools and the center. Expected the amenities to be walkable but you definitely need to drive everywhere anytime you leave the house which was inconvenient. Also only 1 house key is provided which can be tricky with a large group using multiple cars.
We stayed over 4th of July weekend and the fireworks display on the grounds were incredible.

4th of July weekend. The place is stunning, equipped kitchen, but unfortunately the cleaning crew does a disservice to this place. Previous complaints still persist regarding spider webs and other minor issues. Loved all the recommendations and how close it is from amenities. Like others stated there’s a house facing the (deck) hot tub. The deck needs more attention by the cleaning crew since this is where you’ll spent most of the time. Communication was fast and accurate instructions. Have coffee at Jackson’s corner and visit Cabe Ridge Vineyard, very cute vineyard. Overall good stay!

A great little inn just steps away from Main Street! Tony was super responsive and made the stay a breeze. Would absolutely stay here again!

Had a few hiccups with a dirty air filter that set off the smoke detectors, but they sent Dutch out to fix it. Was a little disappointed that the Nespresso pods in the picture were not there, but when asked, it seems the prior renter used all of there supply and more were coming, just not in time for my stay. The place was great.

The cabin was a lovely quiet oasis in the woods. All of the beds and chairs were very comfortable. Personal AC/heating in each room was a definite plus.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Tony’s cabin. It was perfect for our dogs and we enjoyed the peach and quiet. Tony was incredibly communicative and helpful. We would stay again!
