We were heading to tent camp in Western MD in a state forest but the impending thunderstorms in the forecast and my Jeep acting up on I70 near Hancock caused us to reconsider pushing a couple more hours west. Having frequented Berkley Spring, we hoped to find a quiet spot that was dog friendly (and had AC), and not too expensive. I messaged Tony to confirm we could book on short notice- he got back to me quickly and said it was not a problem. We checked in just as the thunderstorms hit.
The house was super clean, w modern touches and GREAT AC. There's a propane grill, hot tup and huge pergola with a firepit. This is perfect for singles, couples or a small family. It has a first floor master with a queen size and two doubles in the loft. The kitchen was well equipped and there were plenty of linens and even emergency toiletries if needed (q tips, razors, toothbrushes, etc).
Best of all- its minutes from Cacapon State Park and all of its amenities. We will definitely stay here again!

Great location for a stay in Harper's Ferry!
Cute little cabin and the hot tub was a nice bonus. Kitchen is good for preparing meals and the beds and living spaces are comfortable.
However, the upstairs bedrooms never got cool. The outside temp was 99 and the attic bedrooms stayed uncomfortably warm. A fan might have helped but we couldn't find one. We ended up sleeping on the couch.
The private river access is over 1/2 mile away and is actually community access. It is a wonderful park like area with picnic tables, grills, and a small ramp for tubes or kayaks. Great place to spend some time cooling off by the river. There is also a community pool, but not sure if it's available to guests of this rental.
A nice place to stay but the listing could be more accurate and they really need to put fans or window units upstairs.
Tony's place is a go to place and would recommend it to anyone. Peaceful, neat and everything described.
We had a wonderful and peaceful long weekend stay at Tony’s place! The perfect location for beautiful views, but still close to activities like kayaking, tubing, fishing, and town. We loved using the grill for our dinners and relaxing in the hot tub at night. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again!!
4th of July stay
Positive:
The cabin was clean bright and cozy feeling. Felt very private even though you are in a neighborhood but can barely see the surrounding houses in the summertime. Will definitely stay again
Negative:
The only thing we can even complain about is the bed in the smaller room is very hard, which some people may like.. but we didn't. And the resort does fireworks for July 4th which was only bad because our dogs are very afraid of them. I had looked into the resort and thought they did not do a fireworks display so thats why we chose to stay here. We weren't super close to them so the dogs did better then they normally do.
Charming cabin with a modern, functional interior set in tranquil setting within a wooded residential area. We loved the large living area with floor to ceiling windows and outdoor deck. Kitchen had updated counters and finishes, with a nice coffee area.
If you're interested in nature, there are lots of deer and birds to be seen, including a pair of Red-headed Woodpeckers (an uncommon species!) residing in the neighborhood—we saw them every day we were there (June 2026), including in the trees beside us while we were on the porch!
Very relaxing stay for me and my husband. Just what we needed.
This home is has it all. I can't say enough wonderful things about it. Tony was an excellent, responsive host. Plenty of room. Very clean. Comfortable and classy. They even had coffee KCups stocked in the kitchen. Being able to use the grill was a plus. The home is in a secluded area, yet is still a quick ten minutes away from town. The house is even better than the pictures in the listing showed.

In the hustle and bustle of the electrical contracting world, this place was a perfect retreat from the grind. The hot tub was amazing and the views were even better. The cabin was very comfortable and the AC worked very well and thank goodness it was 100 most of the week. Will be taking other adventures soon and you’ll be at the top of the list for communicating on future endeavors.!
Very enjoyable stay - convenient to all we wanted to do. Tony was exceptionally responsive snd helpful with local knowledge and recommendations.

The best of both worlds. This home is a great place for peace and quiet, while also providing numerous activities on-site. It is close to incredible state parks and other outdoor adventures. The property features all new amenities and is excellently maintained. Tony provided superb customer service and went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. I will definitely bring my family back to this lovely home!

We arrived to the house and lots of outdoor furniture on the decks. It was like being in a treehouse with all the trees. Lots of things in the kitchen to make it functional and ready for cooking. Two living areas . Both very comfortable. The suite upstairs was beautiful! All the bathrooms were new and done very well. Working sauna and hot tub.Washer and dryer in the lower level. All the beds were comfortable!

Tony was such a proactive host! The house was brand-new and we loved using the cooking amenities. It was so easy to check in and the pictures really show how beautiful the area is. My one note is not a critique of Tony or the house, but just to underscore the point in the listing about having a car with four-wheel drive. The house is located about five minutes down an all-gravel road with some deep pits and sharp hills. Our car was having a little trouble with some of the area’s driving, so just a note to be more cautious than we were and make sure everything in your vehicle is in great working condition before you leave!
Host was friendly and helpful anytime we reached out. Would stay again.
This is a lovely, secluded mountain retreat – perfect for a getaway.
Positive:
Location – it is the last house up a gravel road, with no other houses in view. It is surrounded by mountainside and trees. It is a lovely place for a quiet retreat. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, with a large porch.
Negative:
We stayed there during a heat wave with temps in the high 90s. The downstairs was comfortable with air-conditioning, but the loft bedroom was quite warm. Might consider a window air conditioner there.

Beautiful place in the middle of nowhere. They had a food/water dish for our dogs already there (simple things). Small fenced in area for just letting them go to the bathroom, large not so fenced in area for letting them run.
