The house had plenty of space for my large (15-person group), and we were able to easily enjoy time all together. The house itself was warm and inviting, and enjoyable to spend time in. The proximity to hiking, scenic overlooks, and good restaurants made for the perfect weekend, and I’d definitely come back again!

This was a very nice place to stay for the weekend. Tony and the Blue Maple team were highly communicative and easy to reach. The house was very clean and well prepared, with plenty of linens available. The kitchen was well stocked for both cooking and dining, and the beds were quite comfortable. The hot tub and deck were especially enjoyable and made for a relaxing experience. We had a great stay overall and would gladly return!

Overall, the house was a decent fit and a decent value for the cost of the stay. There were only a few minor issues and most could be easily resolved as well, so it was a pleasant stay. The host was very helpful and communicative. The kitchen is lacking some cooking items. The oven is a bit finicky and there was only one pan that fit in it, so cooking was a bit difficult. Additionally, there was only one TV in the entire cabin. Based on the number of people that could stay at the cabin, there was a limited amount of furniture and seating. And, the furniture was relatively uncomfortable. However, these could easily be remedied. Overall, it was still a pretty good stay even though the weather was horrible, but I would prefer for some upgrades to be made before booking another stay.

The cabin was very spacious with a beautiful view of the surrounding woods. Tony was exceptionally responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely consider staying here again in the future.

our stay at the Bear’s Den was great. The house and bedroom configurations made it easy to fit all of our guests. the outdoor deck was great, with a working grill and hot tub. While we were slightly concerned about some of the rules of the HOA community, we had no issues and felt the place was very peaceful and relaxing! If you have a big group and are looking for a relaxing woodsy getaway while still being close to town, I would highly recommend!

The cabin was perfect for a large group. Having bedrooms on all three floors made it seem like everyone had their own private space. The cabin was also well equipped with towels and sheets. For the price, it was incredible. The host was very responsive, as well. The hot tub was broken when we arrived, so they sent a handyman to repair it that evening.
There were a few inconveniences that came along with paying so little for so much space. The trash crates outside the house were completely full from the previous tenant. There were no trash bags in the house. The dishwasher was hard to operate, and the dishes and cooking supplies in the cabinet needed to be cleaned before we use them.
That said, I would rent the cabin again and know to bring paper and plasticware to eat on/with and to bring my own trash bags. The location was convenient for Berkeley Springs activities, and the cabin itself was conducive for a large group to hang out, spend time together, and have fun.

First – the home is beautiful and the layout is perfect for large families! The owners were also responsive and very nice. Trash was left by a previous guest and a bear ripped it through the yard and driveway. We reported it but no one ever came to clean it up so my husband shoveled it out of the way so that we did not have to continuously run it over. We did overall enjoy our stay and overall, the home is dated but beautiful. This one is personal preference, but the foam beds were not comfortable. A lot of people like those though so we are most likely odd balls! The area is very peaceful and honestly perfected located.

Tony was a great communicator, resolved minor Wi-Fi confusion quickly, and was incredibly helpful when we left behind a few very important items. The place was pretty sparse, which is helpful when you have young children and is quite large and spacious with plenty of room. The hot tub was clean and comfortable. Will definitely consider staying again if we go back into that area.

Nice place to stay, plenty of space and rooms. Loved the hot tub we basically baked alive in that thing. We did have issues with the water not getting hot for showers and the water pressure being low & the hot tub water being low. We messaged the host and he responded in a timely manner sending out someone to address the issues. Nice and peaceful no one bothered us. We did move the tv upstairs to watch tv together. The wifi and service was very spotty. But other than that my friends and I would stay again. It was a very enjoyable trip and a lovely house.

Nested deep in the woods, it was a fabulous home—beyond our expectations. Tony made sure to communicate with us daily to ensure all of our needs were met. It was our first experience with staying in an Airbnb, but we found everything well stocked, clean, and extremely spacious. I strongly recommend staying there. Also make sure to enjoy a bath at the Roman Bath House in Berkley Springs State Park.

The Cabin is spacious, clean, and in beautiful surroundings. The neighborhood has hikes of its own, and is super close to Berkeley Springs town where you can find cute shops, cafes and restaurants. The Jacuzzi was great, we loved the dining room area, great for large dinners with friends or families. The kitchen too was wonderful, only thing was the oven and stove stop that weren’t very responsive making the dinner process more lengthy and complicated but I told him about it and he said he would get a technician to fix it, so hopefully it will be fixed soon enough. The beds are pretty basic but does the trick.

We had originally booked a different property of Tony’s, but his team alerted us at the last minute that the property had an issue with the water. Though it was frustrating to be notified so late, they allowed us to switch our reservation to this property, and we were more than pleased with the house. It’s a huge house and can easily accommodate two families. It’s well-equipped with all the kitchen equipment and utensils to cook homemade meals and have a lovely time hanging out in the sun room/dining room, on the porch, or in the hot tub. The one thing I didn’t love about the host is that they came off as very pushy to try to charge us as much as possible (allowing a slightly earlier check in or a slightly later check out for a high and arbitrarily set fee ($79, and then $99)).

I was in the area working near the town of Paw Paw.  I work along my wife and some of my family members so we rented the cabin for the week place was very big. Everybody had their own room. We really didn’t have a feeling that we were traveling out of town for work compared to a hotel room that you feel confined to small room. Here we were able to enjoy a big kitchen as well as the rooms are pretty big. Place was clean and well furnished. My only complaint is that it’s hard to get out of bed in the morning to go to work. Beds are pretty comfy.

Cute bare bones cabin. Great for a friends getaway. Very spacious Comfy beds. Plenty of beds. Very responsive hosts. Mostly clean. A few housekeeping issues but no big deal. No broom was available for us to sweep the floor. Seems as though host has not been to the cabin in a while. The drop ceiling in the lower level bedroom is caving in. Very unsightly. The heat in the dining room needs to be manually adjusted directly on the base board heater itself by turning a knob, but the knob was missing. We didn’t figure out how to heat the dining area until late into our last night. It’s actually the best part of the house. The biggest issue was the oven. It is not a standard residential sized oven. It is so small. It is a wall oven with only one rack so we couldn’t even cook 2 pizzas at the same time. It also took 30+ minutes to preheat to 350. Definitely need a new oven.

The cabin was super cozy and adorable, with lots of space and amenities. The host was quick to respond, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking and cleaning! However, we found that some things were not up to par, in terms of cleanliness, but could be easily have been fixed to have given us a perfect stay!

The location was very convenient, nestled nicely in the woods but only about 10 minutes to stores to get anything you’ve forgotten. Berkley Springs was a charming small town not to be missed. We had 3 families – 12 people and a medium sized dog – visiting Tony’s cabin. It’s excellent size and space for all. The large windows and view out to the woods from the living room is really nice. We used the jacuzzi and grill, and both worked great. Some areas in the house could use an update but the overall experience was great. The community pool was very nice and well maintained. We really enjoyed our time there.

We were a little disappointed with some of the resort amenities (pool was supposed to be heated and wasn’t worker told us she couldn’t turn it past 70), that is not Tony’s fault or anything he can fix. This home was perfect for our multi-generation three family gathering and for the size of our group. Plenty of bedrooms and a full bathroom on each floor. Lots of room to spread out and nice spaces to gather together. Very comfortable accommodations. We loved the large dining area that had a cabin feel. Perfect for our evening euchre games. Beautiful setting with hiking trails right there. Although we had plenty of rain the first part of our stay, our group did enjoy the community pool once we got a break in the weather. We also enjoyed the historical aspect of Berkeley Springs. Explored the town and the children loved the springs in the downtown state park. Berkeley Springs Brewing was a great place for lunch/dinner. Family friendly, good beer and good food. If you enjoy fruit wine there is also a winery nearby for tasting.
On the day of departure, the older generation had an issue with their car’s tires. Highly recommend Bob’s Tire Service!

This is a great place to stay with just a few minor issues. The location is excellent. There is a cool hiking trail that starts right nearby the cabin, and more things to do just a quick drive away. We ran into a few maintenance issues (burned out lightbulbs, a broken bunk bed ladder) but the host was responsive and got us replacement lightbulbs the night we arrived (and we didn’t need to use that bunk bed). The community it is in has a great outdoor heated pool, and the hot tub at the AirBnB itself was also a nice treat. Great, fun place for families with kids.
The kitchen is very nice in terms of working space, but needs a pots/pans/utensils refresh to be considered well stocked. This was probably our biggest frustration as people who plan to cook at AirBnBs rather than go to restaurants. I expect to bring my own good knives to a rental place, but for example I don’t expect to need to bring a pasta cooking pot. Addressing the kitchen limitations would make this a 5 star place

This was the perfect place for a large family gathering. It’s so hard to find an AirBnB with ample communal space where everyone can congregate, and Tony’s house has three: a spacious living room, a large dining room table, and a sizable deck. Tony was super responsive—I think he got back to me within minutes every time I messaged him!—and the house instructions were very clear.
The cabin was ten minutes from the charming downtown (where the springs and bath house are located) and from Cacapon State Park (great place to hike, even for kids), and the Berkeley Springs Brewery is about four minutes away. Mythical Pizza (which opened about a year ago) was fantastic (and fantastical, given its cryptic theme!).
Some of us were coming from upstate NY, and loved seeing all the redbuds (the surrounding woods are thick with them) in bloom and the huge patch of daffodils that welcomed us to the house. Fun getting glimpses of the pileated woodpeckers too.
We hope to repeat the trip next year!

Wonderfully spacious and naturally lit cabin suited for our college friend reunion. Clean, tidy, and matched description. Also, loved the attached sunroom dining area. Appreciate that it was dog-friendly as we brought 2 of our furry friends with us. Lots of room for lots of people. It’s on our list to visit again in the future!
Apart from the cabin, Tony was very responsive and friendly. He was also conscientious about updating us on some unfavorable weather patterns, which was helpful. Provided a very comprehensive house manual so we knew what to expect on check-in, check-out, and the in-between.

Our GPS got us right to the house, no problem. Eeverything was exactly as Tony said it would be. The house itself seems even more open and larger than the pictures make it look. The deck was also very large and could accommodate us all.
We had 4 families with a total of 15 people during our stay. The bedrooms being on all three floors worked perfectly for us. The beds were even comfortable! The basement is also open to the area under the deck which is enclosed with wire. That was perfect for the dogs.
Everything from the kitchen to the bedrooms to the bathrooms was spotless.
For all that, the kitchen supplies were average. There were a lot of well-used pots and pans but none big enough to make soup or chili for the full number of guests the house can hold. There was just enough silverware and plates to last for a single day if we were careful. A minor issue for an otherwise great house.
We’d definitely come back if we need a place in the area again.

This cabin was just beautiful! So spacious and open for nine people and a dog.
There were some issues because of the occupants before us, but Tony was really understanding about them. Tony was also really accommodating when I asked for the thermostat to be turned down before we arrived!
One of the best features of the cabin is the full bathroom on all three floors! The separate thermostat for the third floor was an added bonus!
The community pool is absolutely stunning and has a bonus hot tub! We highly recommend going for a swim with any kids as the water only goes up to 5ft at the deepest section of the pool.
The Brewing Company right down the road was really accommodating with food allergies and my dog was able to join us inside for a pupsicle and doggy meatball!
Berkeley Springs was a great place to walk around and window shop, and the springs themselves were a great place to explore with kids! They especially enjoyed drinking out of the fountain and wading in the waterway with the minnows.
Only two cons the whole week: 1) You might get alerted about excessive noise even if you’re not there. Cars are loud and some neighbors might be doing some construction which the noise monitoring device on the back deck easily picks up. 2) At the time of our visit there were no brooms/vaccums to clean up after the kids spilled snacks or crumbs.
Overall, my family would definitely recommend Host Tony and his cabin for your next trip to Berkeley Springs!

Great stay overall! Tony was very friendly and communicative. Only issue was that my guests and I weren’t made aware initially that the previous guests accidentally took the house pool pass home with them. So we had to pay to go to the public pool (which honestly turned out better since it was a larger pool for our larger group). Regardless, Tony gave us recommendations and tips to help us find a solution to our problem. Overall, a great stay and I would stay here again in the future!

We enjoyed our family time together eating, playing games, and just talking. The town of Berkeley Springs is a cute little town and we enjoyed the pool in the community. Our day of hiking at Cacapon State Park was very nice too!

A great place! Large, clean, and comfortable. Close enough to town to have plenty to do, but far enough back that it feels secluded at night. We had a group of eight adults, and two kids and there was plenty of space for all of us to have our own space.
Tony was often checking in to make sure we had a great stay. Definitely follow the directions he sends because GPS got a bit confused the closer we got to the cabin.
If you’re looking to stay with a group, definitely book here. We had an absolute blast!

We enjoyed our stay at Bear’s Den at Coolfront! Tony’s communication was excellent and he let us check in early.
The Airbnb was pretty similar to the pictures and had amble space for our family to relax all weekend. The cleanliness was not impressive – lots of dirt and food crumbs in all kitchen cabinets, food left on top the fridge, popped balloons outside, cigarettes thrown everywhere, laundry left on the floor in the main room, and an overall damp smell. We were able to find most things we needed – dishes, soap, towels, linens, etc.
Our power went out during our stay due to a huge storm (which was really unfortunate!) but Tony helped us navigate finding extra batteries for flashlights and gave us updates frequently from the power company. He also provided a discount for our stay due to our disappointment (even though it was out of his control!).
Overall I would definitely choose to book with Tony again! He was a wonderful host. I would recommend hiring another cleaning service, though!

Bear’s Den is a beautiful spot in a great location. It is well equipped, clean and has all the amenities. There are tons of beds and plenty of space for people to congregate. We loved staying there and would certainly consider going back. Tony was great as a host with just enough messages to be sure we were happy but not enough to be intrusive. He offered suggestions and answered questions although we had very few. The place was perfect for us!

The cabin is very spacious and accommodating for large groups. This community it very quiet and makes for a very serene experience. The wood stove really heats up the place and adds to the experience. The appliances are a little dated, but they all worked just fine. This was a great stay and we will be back!

The Bear Den was a great place for our weekend friend get-together. There was plenty of space for our group of seven. The cabin was about a 10 minutes drive from Berkeley Springs. Our group had a great, relaxing time at the cabin and enjoyed an afternoon checking out the stores and restaurants downtown.

I stayed at Tony’s cabin for a couple of days during a weeklong trip through West Virginia, and it was the perfect spot to stay in and relax after a busy trip. Tony was incredibly communicative. The highlight is the wood burning stove, which was perfect for a chilly day of staying in, drinking coffee and reading some good books. There’s tons of sleeping space so it would definitely be a good location if you have a large group.

Tony’s cabin is spacious and comfortable, and has all you need to relax in the wilds of West Virginia! We used it as a spot to recharge, and the solitude and quiet were just what we needed. It’s a short drive to the town of Berkeley Springs for sights and supplies, and also has good short hikes nearby. Take the Blue Trail up to the top of the mountain and then head North to Prospect Rock where George Washington used to take Martha! We also enjoyed cooking a nice meal in the kitchen and on the grill, relaxing on the deck, and soaking in the whirlpool tub in the main bath.
While you’re here, I highly recommend a trip to the Old Roman Bath in town at Berkeley Springs State Park. It’s an affordable and extremely relaxing experience!

We had a wonderful stay at Tony’s cabin. The cabin looks just as described and and the directions to get there were very helpful. The power was out on Friday when we arrived and Tony was helpful and called the power company to provide status to us that evening. The cabin had everything we needed for a much needed weekend getaway. It was close enough to town and we had a great hike to the state park.

We were in the area from out of state and our original AirBnb fell through last minuets. We were going to just pack up and go home cutting our much needed vacation 4 days short but then enter Tony! We were able to book this place last minute; literally 5 minutes after the booking was confirmed we were invited to check in to the property. Everything was clean and neatly organized and there was plenty of space. We were only a party of two staying in this huge house which could easily accommodate 15+ people but it was nonetheless such a comfortable stay. The front and back porches are the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee and listen to all of the sounds of nature. We loved our stay and would come stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Tony’s. The community is private and nestled in a very nice wooded yet clean and safe area. The house is spacious and very well laid out. The furniture, layout and utilities have been set up with a lot of care and detail. Enough and more room for four families, with Jack and Jill bathrooms in the upper levels and a full bath in the basement. Beautiful deck overlooking the greens, with birds chirping in the morning. Tony and team were highly responsive and attentive to our needs. Great hosts overall.
If there is anything I can point out for improvement, it would be that the bathrooms could use an upgrade. The shower heads, the water flow, time it took for the hot water, and the force of the water in the toilet when flushed made it somewhat hard to use.

Tony’s beautiful and spacious cabin was the perfect setting for a girls weekend away, celebrating our friend’s upcoming wedding. From the beginning, the communication was thoughtful and easy. And the house had everything we needed- and then some. I especially loved drinking coffee out on the beautiful back deck in the morning- and later, unwinding in the rustic pool and hot tub in the woods.

The house fees include a $125 cleaning fee which seems a bit high for the length of time we stayed (1 night) and the housekeepers seem to cut corners to clean the house. Bathrooms and bedding were clean, but floors throughout the house were barely cleaned, Dust, hair, etc. all over the floors, I understand is cabin in the woods, but at the same time is not a rustic cabin in the woods. The appliances have a layer of grease on all of them. The fridge still have some things from previous renters, bag of ice that smell like a wet dog in the freezer. Trash can outside was full and had to stack our trash on top of the canister. Not too thrill with what I paid in cleaning fees. Seems like the owner is either not getting his money's worth for the services he is paying for,

We loved our stay at Tony’s cabin. There are so many beds! The size of the home is great for one family or a few – it sleeps lots of people! We loved the screened-in porch – it was a lovely space even in the winter. The home is convenient to the town, but also felt far enough away to be relaxing and secluded. The common area furniture isn’t the most comfortable, but it worked for us and encouraged everyone to get out and enjoy the beautiful outdoors! Tony is super communicative and loved the recommendations for local spots. Definitely recommend!

Tony was an incredible host! The moment we walked in, there was a handwritten birthday card for my mom (we planned a weekend bday celebration for her). Tony checked in to make sure we were doing ok throughout our stay. The house was perfect! A gorgeous dining room to enjoy our meals, a spacious living room and fireplace to get cozy in the evenings and plenty of comfy bedrooms for the family. Nearby we enjoyed beautiful hiking trails, warm spring Roman baths, yummy food and cute downtown shops!

Cool front cabin is large with plenty of beds and bathrooms, great for a large group.
The huge deck and dining room are the highlight of the property, IMO.
The heating system worked wonderfully and we were kept warm and dry while watching 18 inches of snow fall in December.
The cabin is large and a bit rustic but perfect for a large gathering and I would imagine the seasonal amenities like swimming, hiking etc would be wonderful.
There is only one very large flat screen TV but the Wi-Fi worked great for us.
Plenty of cookware, towels, bed linens and closet space.
The wood stove was awesome and you can forage the grounds for fallen branches or buy wood at the local grocer.
Tony is an attentive host who always answered my texts, the communication was really great.
We are thankful he allowed us to stay at the Cool Cabin with our dogs.

The house is much larger than I expected, and the layout is perfect for a multi-family or multi-generational group. The basement level has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed plus bunk beds, and the other bedroom with bunk beds, as well as a living area space, a full bathroom, an extra refrigerator (very handy for a large group bringing tons of food), and its own exterior door. The main level has a bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom. And the upstairs level has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed plus daybed, and the other bedroom upstairs has 4 beds (2 singles & bunk beds), plus a full bathroom that connects the two bedrooms. Tons of sleeping space! I loved the separate dining room with all the windows. I loved the huge deck. The bbq grill worked great. Berkeley Springs is a very cute town . We even filled up our water jugs at the old spring water tap! Hiking at Cacapon Mountain State Park was very nice. The house was very clean and the Owner made me very comfortable that they had heightened their cleaning procedures to adhere to COVID recommendations. The Owner was very responsive via text. All in all, being able to spend Thanksgiving with our multi-generational family in a lovely remote location, a house big enough to fit everyone comfortably, a dining room table large enough for all of us too, being able to get away from the crap-show of 2020 and almost forget it all for a few days – this was lovely!

My friends and I stayed at Bear’s Den for my bachelor party, and could not have asked for a better experience. The house had plenty of space for my large (15-person group), and we were able to easily enjoy time all together. The house itself was warm and inviting, and enjoyable to spend time in. The proximity to hiking, scenic overlooks, and good restaurants made for the perfect weekend, and I’d definitely come back again!

Overall, the house was a decent fit and a decent value for the cost of the stay. There were only a few minor issues and most could be easily resolved as well, so it was a pleasant stay. The host was very helpful and communicative. The kitchen is lacking some cooking items. The oven is a bit finicky and there was only one pan that fit in it, so cooking was a bit difficult. Additionally, there was only one TV in the entire cabin. Based on the number of people that could stay at the cabin, there was a limited amount of furniture and seating. And, the furniture was relatively uncomfortable. However, these could easily be remedied. Overall, it was still a pretty good stay even though the weather was horrible, but I would prefer for some upgrades to be made before booking another stay.

our stay at the Bear's Den was great. The house and bedroom configurations made it easy to fit all of our guests. the outdoor deck was great, with a working grill and hot tub. While we were slightly concerned about some of the rules of the HOA community, we had no issues and felt the place was very peaceful and relaxing! If you have a big group and are looking for a relaxing woodsy getaway while still being close to town, I would highly recommend!

The cabin was perfect for a large group. Having bedrooms on all three floors made it seem like everyone had their own private space. The cabin was also well equipped with towels and sheets. For the price, it was incredible. The host was very responsive, as well. The hot tub was broken when we arrived, so they sent a handyman to repair it that evening.
There were a few inconveniences that came along with paying so little for so much space. The trash crates outside the house were completely full from the previous tenant. There were no trash bags in the house. The dishwasher was hard to operate, and the dishes and cooking supplies in the cabinet needed to be cleaned before we use them.
That said, I would rent the cabin again and know to bring paper and plasticware to eat on/with and to bring my own trash bags. The location was convenient for Berkeley Springs activities, and the cabin itself was conducive for a large group to hang out, spend time together, and have fun.

First - the home is beautiful and the layout is perfect for large families! The owners were also responsive and very nice. Trash was left by a previous guest and a bear ripped it through the yard and driveway. We reported it but no one ever came to clean it up so my husband shoveled it out of the way so that we did not have to continuously run it over. We did overall enjoy our stay and overall, the home is dated but beautiful. This one is personal preference, but the foam beds were not comfortable. A lot of people like those though so we are most likely odd balls! The area is very peaceful and honestly perfected located.

the pictures of this cabin are outdated and not what you walk into. the rule about no trash would be a lot easier to accommodate if you were supplied with a few more trash bags we had to use make shift trash bags the last 36 hours of stay. there was trash hidden in cubby and under couches and markers in the couches. I know it was a heat wave but the whole cabin was so hot the whole stay, it could use the ceiling fan that was pictured and no longer there. the pool access is some where down the road and I think an indoor pool from best of what I found, I wanted to be outside so the picture when booking was misleading. there's fire pits at close cabins but not this one. not even the fire table that's pictured again very misleading and disappointing Honestly I feel juked and played but we had fun outside the cabin

We loved this place! The cabin was spotless when we arrived and all of Tony's instructions and activity suggestions were clear and easy to follow. The place is very spacious and our group particularly enjoyed the hot tub and dining patio.

We had a packed itinerary for our spring break & birthdays, and we spent the majority of our trip adjusting for all the things in this home that were broken: the running water, the wifi, and the many unstable and unsafe pieces of furniture. After our first day of stay, the water in this house stopped functioning. First, the kitchen sink and dishwasher stopped working, and then the bathrooms and laundry broke as well. We were unable to shower or flush our toilets. I reported this issue to the host who said he would look into it, but never offered a single solution. Thinking the water might return, we carried on using dishes to cook. It never did, and we spent hours and hours of our trip scrubbing dishes under bottled water. We were relying on being able to take work calls from the space, but without functioning wifi, many of us ended up taking sick leave from work. I spent so much of this trip reporting & problem-solving issues, I barely enjoyed any time with my loved ones.

Tony was a great communicator, resolved minor Wi-Fi confusion quickly, and was incredibly helpful when we left behind a few very important items. The place was pretty sparse, which is helpful when you have young children and is quite large and spacious with plenty of room. The hot tub was clean and comfortable. Will definitely consider staying again if we go back into that area.

Nice place to stay, plenty of space and rooms. Loved the hot tub we basically baked alive in that thing. We did have issues with the water not getting hot for showers and the water pressure being low & the hot tub water being low. We messaged the host and he responded in a timely manner sending out someone to address the issues. Nice and peaceful no one bothered us. We did move the tv upstairs to watch tv together. The wifi and service was very spotty. But other than that my friends and I would stay again. It was a very enjoyable trip and a lovely house.

We enjoyed our stay here in this massive and beautiful home. While some important appliances were broken and some furnishings/furniture/kitchen tools need to be repaired or updated, the overall value of the home is excellent. This is my second time staying with this company and the prompt communication and effective service was second to none again.

Great neighborhood! The house is large with tons of room to stretch out and relax. The bathrooms are all dated and could use a fresh up. We really enjoyed our time at the cabin and created some great memories.

This place is absolutely gorgeous on the inside and the surrounding view as well! It was so clean and well stocked kitchen for cooking. My boys are already making plans to return. It is a 10 minute drive to town for easy access.

needs improvement: the instructions to find the place is not needed the place is on maps.
wifi didn't work on all days
there is no coffee though there is coffee machine
no scrub in dish area low dish liquid
kitchen cabinets with used condiments left out from previous renters I guess
overused pans with no lids
no hair dryer
deck not dusted full of spider webs in sitting area
basement bed had dead bugs and live spiders not usable
the AC/heater works but maintains old temperatures in the house
we traveled with young kids so these mattered us for the price we paid.

Think twice and read prior reviews! I had contacted Tony in advance to be sure the issues others mentioned before my stay were addressed, he assured me they were and yet we still had a week without a stove. I thought the issues were recent, but it seems this is how all of Tony’s many (over a thousand?) rentals are handled. Not only was the stove broken but wheels missing from the dishwasher, rails missing from the second story deck, several pieces of furniture are rather disgusting and others are broken including beds, pans are in bad shape, large pots nonexistent. The house itself is beautiful and has so much potential. The puzzle has all its pieces! Great hand soap and lots of soap and shampoo in the showers. Tony communicates very well at the beginning in the end, however he does so through personal text in addition to Airbnb, because he’s trying to promote his own vacation rental business. Also a text about early check in/late check out with fee that’s outside of Airbnb.

Nested deep in the woods, it was a fabulous home—beyond our expectations. Tony made sure to communicate with us daily to ensure all of our needs were met. It was our first experience with staying in an Airbnb, but we found everything well stocked, clean, and extremely spacious. I strongly recommend staying there. Also make sure to enjoy a bath at the Roman Bath House in Berkley Springs State Park.

The place is spacious and clean which made us like the place when we entered. But encountered few issues that makes rating 3 or below as its impact our plans and timings. So I recommend Tony to check everything functioning well prior to each guest stay!
1. Wi-Fi - not working and we had to spend time back and forth messaging with Tony and he was not able to sort it out for first 24 hours where we had to manage our kids with no internet!! No party for parents as we had to attend with them all the time. We got Wi-Fi last 16 hours though.
2. Grill - we informed Tony weeks early to arrivals that we’ll do grilling. When we started grilling on our second day by 3pm we are having grill working 1 of 3 burner 😳.
Again had to talk to Tony and he was able to send handyman with a new grill (did he knew?) by 6pm. Our plans got delayed for 3 hours.
Same time he sent a different modem which he could have done previous day!

The Cabin is spacious, clean, and in beautiful surroundings. The neighborhood has hikes of its own, and is super close to Berkeley Springs town where you can find cute shops, cafes and restaurants. The Jacuzzi was great, we loved the dining room area, great for large dinners with friends or families. The kitchen too was wonderful, only thing was the oven and stove stop that weren't very responsive making the dinner process more lengthy and complicated but I told him about it and he said he would get a technician to fix it, so hopefully it will be fixed soon enough. The beds are pretty basic but does the trick.

Our family enjoyed our stay here, but there were too many shortfalls to give this house more than a 3 rating. If you have lots of dogs & are on a budget, this place is perfect. With some minor improvements and necessary maintenance, I would give 4/5. PROS: 1. Spacious & clean, comfortable beds, 2. Pet friendly w/ outdoor pen, 3. Nice HotTub on deck. GOOD/BAD: Kitchen- lots of utensils/cookware, but lacked serving bowls, platters, pitchers... CONS: 1. broken locks on several outside doors, 2. oven only partially works, i.e. bottom burner broken, so don't plan on baking anything unless you can wait at least 2 hours! (I told owner about this & he said he would check it out AFTER we leave.) 3. Grill - only 1 of 3 burners worked, 4. Hot Water Heater (40gal) way too small for such a large house. We had to space out our showers. 5. Sparsely furnished and didn't match all the photos. Teal chairs were missing. Sectional dirty/broken corner seat. Needed more night stands/lamps.

We had originally booked a different property of Tony's, but his team alerted us at the last minute that the property had an issue with the water. Though it was frustrating to be notified so late, they allowed us to switch our reservation to this property, and we were more than pleased with the house. It's a huge house and can easily accommodate two families. It's well-equipped with all the kitchen equipment and utensils to cook homemade meals and have a lovely time hanging out in the sun room/dining room, on the porch, or in the hot tub. The one thing I didn't love about the host is that they came off as very pushy to try to charge us as much as possible (allowing a slightly earlier check in or a slightly later check out for a high and arbitrarily set fee ($79, and then $99)).

I was in the area working near the town of Paw Paw.  I work along my wife and some of my family members so we rented the cabin for the week place was very big. Everybody had their own room. We really didn’t have a feeling that we were traveling out of town for work compared to a hotel room that you feel confined to small room. Here we were able to enjoy a big kitchen as well as the rooms are pretty big. Place was clean and well furnished. My only complaint is that it’s hard to get out of bed in the morning to go to work. Beds are pretty comfy.

Cute bare bones cabin. Great for a friends getaway. Very spacious Comfy beds. Plenty of beds. Very responsive hosts. Mostly clean. A few housekeeping issues but no big deal. No broom was available for us to sweep the floor. Seems as though host has not been to the cabin in a while. The drop ceiling in the lower level bedroom is caving in. Very unsightly. The heat in the dining room needs to be manually adjusted directly on the base board heater itself by turning a knob, but the knob was missing. We didn’t figure out how to heat the dining area until late into our last night. It’s actually the best part of the house. The biggest issue was the oven. It is not a standard residential sized oven. It is so small. It is a wall oven with only one rack so we couldn’t even cook 2 pizzas at the same time. It also took 30+ minutes to preheat to 350. Definitely need a new oven.

The cabin was super cozy and adorable, with lots of space and amenities. The host was quick to respond, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking and cleaning! However, we found that some things were not up to par, in terms of cleanliness, but could be easily have been fixed to have given us a perfect stay!

My family had a great time at this cabin. Plenty of room for a group of 8 adults and 3 children. Quiet area with little traffic and beautiful views. Tony was very responsive and offered local suggestions.

The house was spacious and just want we needed. Traveled in a group of 10, there were plenty of comfortable beds and bedrooms. The location was very convenient, nestled nicely in the woods but only about 10 minutes to stores to get anything you've forgotten. Berkley Springs was a charming small town not to be missed. Our host was very communicative and I would recommend this house for a group trip.

We had 3 families - 12 people and a medium sized dog - visiting Tony’s cabin. It’s excellent size and space for all. The large windows and view out to the woods from the living room is really nice. We used the jacuzzi and grill, and both worked great. Some areas in the house could use an update but the overall experience was great. The community pool was very nice and well maintained. We really enjoyed our time there.

Cabin was nice, just as pictured! Tiny was super helpful and easy to work with. We were a little disappointed with some of the resort amenities (pool was supposed to be heated and wasn’t worker told us she couldn’t turn it past 70), that is not Tony’s fault or anything he can fix. We enjoyed our time with family for sure!

Unfortunately, there were major issues with this home that stemmed from plumbing problems. “Tony” reacted somewhat but not enough considering the heavy damage, smell and cold temps. This is beyond the dirty surroundings at the start.
I asked to speak with Tony and was told that he wasn’t available to speak with. Apparently I was texting with an employee who seemed to be Tony until I called.
This home needs a great deal of work and I wouldn’t recommend until that work is done.
Pics are also misleading.

This home was perfect for our multi-generation three family gathering and for the size of our group. Plenty of bedrooms and a full bathroom on each floor. Lots of room to spread out and nice spaces to gather together. Very comfortable accommodations. We loved the large dining area that had a cabin feel. Perfect for our evening euchre games. Beautiful setting with hiking trails right there. Although we had plenty of rain the first part of our stay, our group did enjoy the community pool once we got a break in the weather. We also enjoyed the historical aspect of Berkeley Springs. Explored the town and the children loved the springs in the downtown state park. Berkeley Springs Brewing was a great place for lunch/dinner. Family friendly, good beer and good food. If you enjoy fruit wine there is also a winery nearby for tasting.
On the day of departure, the older generation had an issue with their car's tires. Highly recommend Bob's Tire Service!

This is a great place to stay with just a few minor issues. The location is excellent. There is a cool hiking trail that starts right nearby the cabin, and more things to do just a quick drive away. We ran into a few maintenance issues (burned out lightbulbs, a broken bunk bed ladder) but the host was responsive and got us replacement lightbulbs the night we arrived (and we didn't need to use that bunk bed). The community it is in has a great outdoor heated pool, and the hot tub at the AirBnB itself was also a nice treat. Great, fun place for families with kids.
The kitchen is very nice in terms of working space, but needs a pots/pans/utensils refresh to be considered well stocked. This was probably our biggest frustration as people who plan to cook at AirBnBs rather than go to restaurants. I expect to bring my own good knives to a rental place, but for example I don't expect to need to bring a pasta cooking pot. Addressing the kitchen limitations would make this a 5 star place

The kitchen is very poorly stocked. Only like 7 plates for a home that can sleep 16. Multiple pots and pans had rust in the bottom. The oven is super small with only one rack. The stove stop is not great. Do not stay here if you want to cook at all.

This was the perfect place for a large family gathering. It’s so hard to find an AirBnB with ample communal space where everyone can congregate, and Tony’s house has three: a spacious living room, a large dining room table, and a sizable deck. Tony was super responsive—I think he got back to me within minutes every time I messaged him!—and the house instructions were very clear.
The cabin was ten minutes from the charming downtown (where the springs and bath house are located) and from Cacapon State Park (great place to hike, even for kids), and the Berkeley Springs Brewery is about four minutes away. Mythical Pizza (which opened about a year ago) was fantastic (and fantastical, given its cryptic theme!).
Some of us were coming from upstate NY, and loved seeing all the redbuds (the surrounding woods are thick with them) in bloom and the huge patch of daffodils that welcomed us to the house. Fun getting glimpses of the pileated woodpeckers too.
We hope to repeat the trip next year!

Wonderfully spacious and naturally lit cabin suited for our college friend reunion. Clean, tidy, and matched description. Also, loved the attached sunroom dining area. Appreciate that it was dog-friendly as we brought 2 of our furry friends with us. Lots of room for lots of people. It's on our list to visit again in the future!
Apart from the cabin, Tony was very responsive and friendly. He was also conscientious about updating us on some unfavorable weather patterns, which was helpful. Provided a very comprehensive house manual so we knew what to expect on check-in, check-out, and the in-between.

Our GPS got us right to the house, no problem. Eeverything was exactly as Tony said it would be. The house itself seems even more open and larger than the pictures make it look. The deck was also very large and could accommodate us all.
We had 4 families with a total of 15 people during our stay. The bedrooms being on all three floors worked perfectly for us. The beds were even comfortable! The basement is also open to the area under the deck which is enclosed with wire. That was perfect for the dogs.
Everything from the kitchen to the bedrooms to the bathrooms was spotless.
For all that, the kitchen supplies were average. There were a lot of well-used pots and pans but none big enough to make soup or chili for the full number of guests the house can hold. There was just enough silverware and plates to last for a single day if we were careful. A minor issue for an otherwise great house.
We'd definitely come back if we need a place in the area again.

The space is large and open and having 3 full bathrooms is definitely a plus with larger groups. Beds were really comfy, we loved the large dining room table for us all to eat at! Tony is great and easy to communicate with. Quick to help with any issues/questions.

This cabin was just beautiful! So spacious and open for nine people and a dog.
There were some issues because of the occupants before us, but Tony was really understanding about them. Tony was also really accommodating when I asked for the thermostat to be turned down before we arrived!
One of the best features of the cabin is the full bathroom on all three floors! The separate thermostat for the third floor was an added bonus!
The community pool is absolutely stunning and has a bonus hot tub! We highly recommend going for a swim with any kids as the water only goes up to 5ft at the deepest section of the pool.
The Brewing Company right down the road was really accommodating with food allergies and my dog was able to join us inside for a pupsicle and doggy meatball!
Berkeley Springs was a great place to walk around and window shop, and the springs themselves were a great place to explore with kids! They especially enjoyed drinking out of the fountain and wading in the waterway with the minnows.
Only two cons the whole week: 1) You might get alerted about excessive noise even if you're not there. Cars are loud and some neighbors might be doing some construction which the noise monitoring device on the back deck easily picks up. 2) At the time of our visit there were no brooms/vaccums to clean up after the kids spilled snacks or crumbs.
Overall, my family would definitely recommend Host Tony and his cabin for your next trip to Berkeley Springs!

Great stay overall! Tony was very friendly and communicative. Only issue was that my guests and I weren’t made aware initially that the previous guests accidentally took the house pool pass home with them. So we had to pay to go to the public pool (which honestly turned out better since it was a larger pool for our larger group). Regardless, Tony gave us recommendations and tips to help us find a solution to our problem. Overall, a great stay and I would stay here again in the future!

The bear house was so cute. Tony was super great to work with, always kind, and quick to answer any questions we had. The kids loved singing on the back porch and dancing downstairs. The area surrounding the house was beautiful. We loved it.

A great place! Large, clean, and comfortable. Close enough to town to have plenty to do, but far enough back that it feels secluded at night. We had a group of eight adults, and two kids and there was plenty of space for all of us to have our own space.
Tony was often checking in to make sure we had a great stay. Definitely follow the directions he sends because GPS got a bit confused the closer we got to the cabin.
If you’re looking to stay with a group, definitely book here. We had an absolute blast!

We enjoyed our stay at Bear’s Den at Coolfront! Tony’s communication was excellent and he let us check in early.
The Airbnb was pretty similar to the pictures and had amble space for our family to relax all weekend. The cleanliness was not impressive - lots of dirt and food crumbs in all kitchen cabinets, food left on top the fridge, popped balloons outside, cigarettes thrown everywhere, laundry left on the floor in the main room, and an overall damp smell. We were able to find most things we needed - dishes, soap, towels, linens, etc.
Our power went out during our stay due to a huge storm (which was really unfortunate!) but Tony helped us navigate finding extra batteries for flashlights and gave us updates frequently from the power company. He also provided a discount for our stay due to our disappointment (even though it was out of his control!).
Overall I would definitely choose to book with Tony again! He was a wonderful host. I would recommend hiring another cleaning service, though!

Lovely and spacious cabin in Coolfont. Large deck with a nice grill (with an extra propane tank). A lot of space for kids to run around, and Tony was very helpful and super responsive.

This place was an exceptional value! Loved how spacious it was. I really liked the local towns and hiking hiking features too. Definitely worth a trip for your family. And Tony was probably the most accessible host I’ve ever communicated with 🙂

Bear's Den is a beautiful spot in a great location. It is well equipped, clean and has all the amenities. There are tons of beds and plenty of space for people to congregate. We loved staying there and would certainly consider going back. Tony was great as a host with just enough messages to be sure we were happy but not enough to be intrusive. He offered suggestions and answered questions although we had very few. The place was perfect for us!

The house was perfect for us. Love the five bedrooms and multiple beds. It was amazingly well stocked (make-up wipes, Meyers hand soap, shampoo & bath wash, spices - the best of any Airbnb I have stayed in yet.) Would recommend to others. And Tony was always a quick text away. Thanks, Tony!

The cabin is very spacious and accommodating for large groups. This community it very quiet and makes for a very serene experience. The wood stove really heats up the place and adds to the experience. The appliances are a little dated, but they all worked just fine. This was a great stay and we will be back!

This place was so spacious with so many rooms/beds. My kids loved exploring the house! It was very clean and the perfect location for us. Tony was so personable and welcoming in all of his communications. I would gladly stay here again and probably for longer next time!

Tony is an amazing host! Immediately after booking a manual of the house with instructions and where everything is was sent. It was seamless. The house is beautiful, spacious, and very homey. We had a large group and everyone fit comfortably.

The Bear Den was a great place for our weekend friend get-together. There was plenty of space for our group of seven. The cabin was about a 10 minutes drive from Berkeley Springs. Our group had a great, relaxing time at the cabin and enjoyed an afternoon checking out the stores and restaurants downtown.

We have very good memories from here. The beauty of the house, the beautiful view, the equipped place and the cleanliness of the house were really wonderful.
I suggest that if anyone goes here, they should stay for at least three days and nights.

I stayed at Tony's cabin for a couple of days during a weeklong trip through West Virginia, and it was the perfect spot to stay in and relax after a busy trip. Tony was incredibly communicative. The highlight is the wood burning stove, which was perfect for a chilly day of staying in, drinking coffee and reading some good books. There's tons of sleeping space so it would definitely be a good location if you have a large group.

We had a wonderful time staying at the cabin. The living space was cozy and inviting. Beds were comfortable as well. The dining room is gorgeous and very unique with a hybrid indoor outdoor feel, but fully screened in and heated. The location is very convenient to the town or the state park. We would stay here again for sure.

Tony's cabin is spacious and comfortable, and has all you need to relax in the wilds of West Virginia! We used it as a spot to recharge, and the solitude and quiet were just what we needed. It's a short drive to the town of Berkeley Springs for sights and supplies, and also has good short hikes nearby. Take the Blue Trail up to the top of the mountain and then head North to Prospect Rock where George Washington used to take Martha! We also enjoyed cooking a nice meal in the kitchen and on the grill, relaxing on the deck, and soaking in the whirlpool tub in the main bath.
While you're here, I highly recommend a trip to the Old Roman Bath in town at Berkeley Springs State Park. It's an affordable and extremely relaxing experience!

We had a wonderful stay at Tony’s cabin. The cabin looks just as described and and the directions to get there were very helpful. The power was out on Friday when we arrived and Tony was helpful and called the power company to provide status to us that evening. The cabin had everything we needed for a much needed weekend getaway. It was close enough to town and we had a great hike to the state park.

We were in the area from out of state and our original AirBnb fell through last minuets. We were going to just pack up and go home cutting our much needed vacation 4 days short but then enter Tony! We were able to book this place last minute; literally 5 minutes after the booking was confirmed we were invited to check in to the property. Everything was clean and neatly organized and there was plenty of space. We were only a party of two staying in this huge house which could easily accommodate 15+ people but it was nonetheless such a comfortable stay. The front and back porches are the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee and listen to all of the sounds of nature. We loved our stay and would come stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Tony’s. The community is private and nestled in a very nice wooded yet clean and safe area. The house is spacious and very well laid out. The furniture, layout and utilities have been set up with a lot of care and detail. Enough and more room for four families, with Jack and Jill bathrooms in the upper levels and a full bath in the basement. Beautiful deck overlooking the greens, with birds chirping in the morning. Tony and team were highly responsive and attentive to our needs. Great hosts overall.
If there is anything I can point out for improvement, it would be that the bathrooms could use an upgrade. The shower heads, the water flow, time it took for the hot water, and the force of the water in the toilet when flushed made it somewhat hard to use.

Tony’s beautiful and spacious cabin was the perfect setting for a girls weekend away, celebrating our friend’s upcoming wedding. From the beginning, the communication was thoughtful and easy. And the house had everything we needed- and then some. I especially loved drinking coffee out on the beautiful back deck in the morning- and later, unwinding in the rustic pool and hot tub in the woods.

absolutely loved the house! super cute and great location. only 15 minutes from the cute town with everything you need like a Food Lion, multiple restaurants & a few breweries. house was great, patio was our favorite place to hang and we had plenty of space.

The house fees include a $125 cleaning fee which seems a bit high for the length of time we stayed (1 night) and the housekeepers seem to cut corners to clean the house. Bathrooms and bedding were clean, but floors throughout the house were barely cleaned, Dust, hair, etc. all over the floors, I understand is cabin in the woods, but at the same time is not a rustic cabin in the woods. The appliances have a layer of grease on all of them. The fridge still have some things from previous renters, bag of ice that smell like a wet dog in the freezer. Trash can outside was full and had to stack our trash on top of the canister. Not too thrill with what I paid in cleaning fees. Seems like the owner is either not getting his money's worth for the services he is paying for,

Awesome cabin in a beautiful area! It is definitely worth the trip. The views are gorgeous and the town of Berkeley Springs is very friendly and cozy. It was never a problem to reach Tony throughout the days before and during the trip. The cabin is as clean as the pictures show and the cabin community offers a lot. It was a fun and relaxing trip for my friends and I!

Huge house, plenty of space to play hide and seek with the kids. Since i love to cook and bake, i love the open space the kitchen gave me however The oven and grill has to cleaned. Can get pretty hot in the house so bring a fan. The area has multiple hiking trails you can explore.

Huge cabin, fantastic value! The space was even nicer than we expected based on the pictures, with all the amenities we could ask for. It felt like an outrageously large and luxurious space for our small family of three—We talked about how great it would be to come back with family and friends. Everything was very comfortable and clean, and communication was quick and clear. We had fun exploring Berkeley Springs and took a side trip to Harpers Ferry.

We loved our stay at Tony's cabin. There are so many beds! The size of the home is great for one family or a few - it sleeps lots of people! We loved the screened-in porch - it was a lovely space even in the winter. The home is convenient to the town, but also felt far enough away to be relaxing and secluded. The common area furniture isn't the most comfortable, but it worked for us and encouraged everyone to get out and enjoy the beautiful outdoors! Tony is super communicative and loved the recommendations for local spots. Definitely recommend!

Tony was an incredible host! The moment we walked in, there was a handwritten birthday card for my mom (we planned a weekend bday celebration for her). Tony checked in to make sure we were doing ok throughout our stay. The house was perfect! A gorgeous dining room to enjoy our meals, a spacious living room and fireplace to get cozy in the evenings and plenty of comfy bedrooms for the family. Nearby we enjoyed beautiful hiking trails, warm spring Roman baths, yummy food and cute downtown shops!

This place is really spacious and well-equipped! The location is great, and we enjoyed a quiet couple of days away. We especially loved the fireplace and comfy mattresses. Tony is very responsive and helpful. ... From the kids: the chandelier was very exotic and the spots for hide-and-seek were incredible. The "neighborhood" was very nice and the architecture was awesome.

This secluded cabin is fantastic for a getaway. We only stayed one night, but it was a relaxing evening in a very clean and calm environment. Not to mention, Tony was a fantastic host who continued to check in throughout our stay to make sure everything was how it should be.

Cool front cabin is large with plenty of beds and bathrooms, great for a large group.
The huge deck and dining room are the highlight of the property, IMO.
The heating system worked wonderfully and we were kept warm and dry while watching 18 inches of snow fall in December.
The cabin is large and a bit rustic but perfect for a large gathering and I would imagine the seasonal amenities like swimming, hiking etc would be wonderful.
There is only one very large flat screen TV but the Wi-Fi worked great for us.
Plenty of cookware, towels, bed linens and closet space.
The wood stove was awesome and you can forage the grounds for fallen branches or buy wood at the local grocer.
Tony is an attentive host who always answered my texts, the communication was really great.
We are thankful he allowed us to stay at the Cool Cabin with our dogs.

The house is much larger than I expected, and the layout is perfect for a multi-family or multi-generational group. The basement level has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed plus bunk beds, and the other bedroom with bunk beds, as well as a living area space, a full bathroom, an extra refrigerator (very handy for a large group bringing tons of food), and its own exterior door. The main level has a bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom. And the upstairs level has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed plus daybed, and the other bedroom upstairs has 4 beds (2 singles & bunk beds), plus a full bathroom that connects the two bedrooms. Tons of sleeping space! I loved the separate dining room with all the windows. I loved the huge deck. The bbq grill worked great. Berkeley Springs is a very cute town . We even filled up our water jugs at the old spring water tap! Hiking at Cacapon Mountain State Park was very nice. The house was very clean and the Owner made me very comfortable that they had heightened their cleaning procedures to adhere to COVID recommendations. The Owner was very responsive via text. All in all, being able to spend Thanksgiving with our multi-generational family in a lovely remote location, a house big enough to fit everyone comfortably, a dining room table large enough for all of us too, being able to get away from the crap-show of 2020 and almost forget it all for a few days - this was lovely!
