The space is large and open and having 3 full bathrooms is definitely a plus with larger groups. Beds were really comfy, we loved the large dining room table for us all to eat at! Tony is great and easy to communicate with. Quick to help with any issues/questions.
Excellent in every way - we do recommend Tony’s place ! We had a lovely family weekend with our 14 months old son and dog where we enjoyed the beautiful nature and calm surrounding the cabin. We visited the Shenandoah Park, and the Trout Pond Recreation Park - We will be back to further discover this incredible area !
We totally dug this place. So cool on many levels. History. Comfort. Convenience. Location. Beds were comfy. The kitchen was stocked nicely with stuff. We could walk to places eat, shop and see history. Off street parking was nice. Internet worked well. Tony was super responsive and proactive. No complaints at all! It was a great stay!
Just as described! This was definitely a cute little place to come back to after a day of hiking and another on the river. Perfect for hanging out at night in the hot tub and also around the fire pit. A little far from downtown Front Royal, but really a great place! Would stay again.
Stay was perfect everything worked and was fully stocked. Thank you Tony!!
Positive:
The house was perfect for my husband and I plus our dog it was such a cozy home with all the kitchen necessities the hot tub was clean and was such a delight.
Negative:
The only issue we had was the prickly bush our dog ran through it he’s fine lol.
Cute and cozy cabin with plenty of space to relax. The hot tub and outdoor areas are great. Super close to a brewery, winery, and a short drive to downtown Berkeley Springs.
Our trip to Berkeley springs was absolutely incredible. The home was very clean, everything was as pictured. The hot tub was extremely clean, with fresh towels awaiting us. I would highly recommend Tony and his family as a host, as well as his property. Can't wait to go back!
Absolutely beautiful location and house. Tony the host is on top of everything and great communication. I highly recommend. A++++
The cabin was clean and incredibly cozy. I only stayed one evening, but would definitely come back for a longer vacation. The cabin is secluded and it felt like a personal piece of paradise. The host was very accommodating and communicative. A couple things to note: 1) cell service was non-existent (not a bad thing, just something to prepare for) and 2) you will need to use a different version of maps to enter the cabin’s address as maps on iPhone did not work for me. Would absolutely recommend staying here if you have the chance.
My partner and I had a wonderful time at this cabin. It is much bigger than expected and very well appointed. I’m the “bring everything when I travel” type of person and really we didn’t need much of anything that I brought. Plenty in the kitchen to cook with and eat on. The grill is very nice to use too!The bed was comfy and the hot tub was wonderful! We said to eachother that it has a cozy cabin feel but with some nice modern amenities and touches. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet we had. We were able to walk our dog down the road and hike a little as well. The Wi-Fi worked well and even streamed a movie one night. It was a perfect getaway to celebrate a birthday. The hot tub was amazing!
I do want to issue a small warning about the driveway where it meets the road. Please please be careful when exiting. I highly recommend to drive out forwards and NOT back up. Where the driveway meets the road is a little narrow and off camber so when backing up we almost got stuck in the ditch across the street because of the departure angle. Thankfully we didn’t have any damage and a neighbor was able to safely tow us out. This is strictly a warning and has nothing to do with the wonderful cabin and our great time there. I would hate if someone did something similar or worse when entering or exiting the property.
We would 110% recommend this place to anyone and would love to come back and enjoy it again.
Needed a quiet getaway and this was the perfect spot. Hottub, mountain view, and so much wildlife. Wifi worked great. We plan to return next year.
Our stay here at the green rabbit was exactly the vacation that my husband and I needed. The location is quiet and relaxing. What we most enjoyed was the hot tub and fire pit. The private river access is the perfect spot to enjoy the peace of Cacapon River and is a great location to start your kayaking down river. We wish we had taken bikes to get back from the low bridge so that we could have explored on the kayaks, as we only had one vehicle. The interior of the home was very nice with new furnishings and has everything to enjoy your stay and more. We hope to come back and visit soon.
Amazing, quiet, cozy spot in the woods with all the perfect amenities - the hot tub was a great added bonus to relax after exploring all day. Very thorough house guide to answer every question we had and more! : ) Highly, highly recommend!! We will be back!
it was exactly what we wanted
Positive:
how quiet and secluded it was
Negative:
the driveway
Amazing views. The Cabin was very clean and comfortable.
Super cute cabin with really comfy beds. Only complaints we had was the wifi was not good enough to stream movies when it was cloudy (satellite) and the water had this super hard metallic taste.
This cabin was just beautiful! So spacious and open for nine people and a dog.
There were some issues because of the occupants before us, but Tony was really understanding about them. Tony was also really accommodating when I asked for the thermostat to be turned down before we arrived!
One of the best features of the cabin is the full bathroom on all three floors! The separate thermostat for the third floor was an added bonus!
The community pool is absolutely stunning and has a bonus hot tub! We highly recommend going for a swim with any kids as the water only goes up to 5ft at the deepest section of the pool.
The Brewing Company right down the road was really accommodating with food allergies and my dog was able to join us inside for a pupsicle and doggy meatball!
Berkeley Springs was a great place to walk around and window shop, and the springs themselves were a great place to explore with kids! They especially enjoyed drinking out of the fountain and wading in the waterway with the minnows.
Only two cons the whole week: 1) You might get alerted about excessive noise even if you're not there. Cars are loud and some neighbors might be doing some construction which the noise monitoring device on the back deck easily picks up. 2) At the time of our visit there were no brooms/vaccums to clean up after the kids spilled snacks or crumbs.
Overall, my family would definitely recommend Host Tony and his cabin for your next trip to Berkeley Springs!
Great location, could have been cleaner. Tony was responsive and helpful.
Tony’s cabin is a wonderful retreat to relax and unwind.
Set in the heart of the forest, you feel worlds away from it all.
The peace and serenity is found inside, with the lovely decor and comfortable beds to the back deck and hot tub where you feel swept away into the natural world.
My favorite was morning coffee with the misty fog moving through the trees.
Thankyou for a delightful stay.
