The check-in was listed as contactless but wasn’t and there was quite a delay being able to get inside. This may not be a common occurrence, but wasn’t an ideal way to start off. However, Tony was quick to act on resolving and was great at communicating. Once we were in and settled, we really enjoyed our stay!

If you’re on the search for an Air BnB with a hot tub like we were, this one works very well and is practically brand-new with an easy to use cover (some can be cumbersome)!

As for the location, it’s wooded and in the mountains. So if you can’t handle bugs, you probably won’t enjoy yourself. It’s Spring, and Tony explained this in the listing. The screened in deck was our favorite spot. In winter/snow, you would likely need AWD to access the property.

All the bed linens/towels were clean. Certain things were clearly missed by their cleaners but nothing to avoid another stay. Tony seems like a responsible host and we would consider him in the future for our lodging needs!

Beautiful location surrounded by nature and peace. Great place to go to escape the hectic day to day. Accurate description, easy check in, Tony was very responsive to messages. Enjoyed our time there, would go back again for some more R&R.

We needed a peaceful way station on the way between Roanoke, VA and New York City and this place was great! A short drive from route 81 in a quiet, peaceful, private community. We weren't there long enough to enjoy the community pond but the grill and hot tub hit the spot. A great little spot that is super clean. Will definitely stop in again if we're on the way through.

Great spot for a quiet getaway. The cabin was well maintained and instantly comfortable. Tony was extremely friendly and kind, even offering to let us check in early without us having to ask!

Tony has a very nice, secluded cabin within a short drive of many attractions. It had everything I needed!

We arrived on a Friday afternoon easily, and checked in without any issues! The instructions were super helpful! Our stay overall was amazing! The space had everything we needed for a fun family experience. Tony was super responsive to my concerns and questions! We’d definitely book this place again :)

Tony’s cabin was an incredible getaway from the day to day of the city. Once the sun goes down, you can hear peepers and whippoorwills chanting in the dark and see the Big Dipper through the treetops as you enjoy a soak in his outdoor hot tub. In the morning, we enjoyed coffee on the porch and listened to the woodpeckers and blue jays argue farther back in the woods. There’s a secluded trail about a mile away that you can hike up to Devil’s Rock to enjoy an overlook into the valley and dip your toes in the stream on your way back. We enjoyed sandwiches from Tony’s Butcher Block just past the high school, and came back to fire up the bbq later that evening. Truly a wonderful host and relaxing hideaway in the West Virginia hills!

we had good stay, no major issues. Clean house and responsive host. Beautiful view off the back porch. Beautiful sunset facing west! Bed was comfortable and clean. The reading room upstairs was very relaxing.

Some things to note:
- Steep gravel driveway. Was not an issue for us but could be for some in bad weather.
- No yard, but room to walk dogs in driveway.
- Fire pit is not super private (separated by privacy fence but there is a house next door).
- Lots of bugs on deck (ants, bees, flies).

Overall a good stay

Tony's cabin was a great weekend escape from the city. Enjoy your morning coffee out on the enclosed deck, relax in the hot tub, or make s'mores in the outside firepit. The location is very peaceful! Two things I didn't realize and wanted to note: It's a 25 minute drive on gravel road to get to the house and all of the doors stick pretty badly (we had to throw our body weight into some of them to get them to open) so they wake up light sleepers every time you use a door. Outside of that it was a good stay!

Gorgeous Unique Stay in Historic Town!!!

This is by far the coolest and most unique stay we’ve had so far. The house is chock full of historic charm with every modern amenity you could ask for. Towels and linens are excellent quality, the kitchen is well stocked, plenty of room for everyone. We are so grateful to have experienced such a unique stay with our dogs. The hot tub is amazing-nice and private with a lovely backdrop! Communication was always fast and efficient. So many thoughtful touches such as a binder with lots of information about the area, plenty of toiletries, gorgeous landscaping and a little bag of other welcome goodies! They truly go above and beyond to ensure you have an excellent stay! We will definitely stay again! Highly recommend!!!

Tony was easy to communicate with, applies common sense about what’s needed for a good stay (not common in the area), and was very accommodating.

Tony was incredibly friendly and accommodating with clear communication. The cabin was beautiful and clean. Had a very nice stay!

We enjoyed our stay and Tony was great to work with! Easy to communicate with, quick response, and food recommendations. There are some things you should know about the property. The driveway is hard to locate and it’s a one way dirt road. There is a very sharp turn and a very steep embankment. We had a difficult time getting our full size truck around the sharp curve and turned around up top. In the dark and rain, this was quite dangerous. The hot tub is semi private, as there is a small fence, but neighbors house is right at the top of the driveway. The hot tub doesn’t heat while the jets are running, so if you need it hotter, you’re gonna need to turn up the temp and let it sit for 30-40 mins before getting in and running the jets. There is a sky light in the master bedroom upstairs. I hate skylights, but that’s just my opinion! Tiny bathroom and sink area. No place to set your belongings. Bring your own extra towels! We had one hand towel total!! Bring own hot tub towels.

Two of us and our dog stayed for a couple of nights at Tony's place; we had a great trip and were able to relax in the solitude of the mountains for a few days. The cabin was surrounded by forest making it very peaceful (but easy to find). The cabin itself was clean and as described. The kitchen was well stocked with basics (utensils, pots, pans, basic spices). For those that need it, the wifi and internet are reliable and plenty fast enough for streaming (and presumable video calls, although we didn't have any during our stay). Tony was very responsive to any questions we had. Thanks for hosting us!

The family and I had a great time. Games for the kids, the hot tub on a cold morning, and the peaceful screened in porch overlooking the forest all added to a fun stay. Definitely recommend!

The cabin was adorable, well stocked, and it was just great being able to walk around by the river and hang out by the fire-pit at night. We didn't get on the water at all, since the water level was a little high from the recent rain but a hot tub in the rain more than made up for it! We will probably spend some more rainy weekends in Rileyville -- and maybe try one of his tiny cabins next time! (:

Tony was a fastastic host -- friendly, professional, and responsive and really made sure we were taken care of!
