We loved staying at this Airbnb! Luray is a cute little city filled with amazing nature. The house itself was really clean and we appreciated having some kitchen supplies and items in the house. Everything was amazing. Heads up when you shower—the hot water tends to run out quick.

We had a wonderful time at Ellery Cottage! The home was beautiful, inviting and quite cozy. Enough space for our family of 6 to feel fully comfortable, with room to spare. Everyone loved the hot tub and the outdoor games— badminton, giant Connect 4 and others were perfect! Our boys had a wonderful time helping to build a fire in the fire pit and making s’mores together. The kitchen was well stocked with most everything you’d need for a short stay. The beds were cozy and comfortable!
Some of the kid’s games inside were in disrepair and missing too many pieces, but we informed the host of needing a refresh and Tony was very responsive and appreciative of the feedback.
We asked for a refill of the hot tub one day. Tony was quick to respond and the maintenance man came within just a few hours. So nice and easy!
Although it was nearly 15 minutes to town for groceries and such, it was so peaceful and a perfect spot for exploring Shenandoah NP! We would definitely enjoying returning!

Tony was super responsive and friendly. The place was easy to get to and somewhat close to town. The place itself was good. Definitely still needs a little bit more work with attention to detail. But still nice. There was some dirt on the floor in the hallway and lots of flies in the house, but besides that it was pretty clean! Loved the hotel tub and spending time with our dog in the backyard.

We had a great peaceful weekend getaway at Tony’s place. The place was as described and the hot tub was the highlight of our trip, especially on a cold weekend! Tony was extremely responsive to our requests and questions and checked in on us to ensure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable!!

Tony’s place was a great place to spend our Christmas vacation. Enough space inside and the fenced yard was perfect for our 1yr old and our four legged kiddo! Sunrises out the front were beautiful!

Tony’s Airbnb was the perfect getaway for my partner and I. It had great backyard space for our dog to play, and the host was always responsive and treated us nicely. The Airbnb is only 12 minutes out from Walmart and a few food places, yet felt extremely private. Would recommend this place to anyone!

We had an amazing stay at Tony’s place! The house was incredibly cozy and welcoming—perfect for unwinding after a long day out. The location couldn’t be better for exploring the Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park; everything was just a short drive away.
The home was spotless when we arrived, which we truly appreciated. And the hot tub was the perfect way to relax after a shower following a full day of hiking. Such a great touch!
Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area. We’d definitely come back!

Beautiful backyard, hot tub, grill and fire pit were a nice on amenities. It was my mom birthday weekend and we had a great time celebrating her at this Airbnb.
My only suggestion to the host is having the towels accessible to guests. Other than that I would highly recommend for others to stay here.

Tony’s place was a cute cottage nestled in a quiet community. Inside was clean and stocked with all the necessary stuff. The cottage is spacious and accommodating to families. However, we weren’t able to enjoy the hot tub in the three days spent there as the water didn’t get warm enough to get in and that was disappointing.

The house was clean and peaceful. We had a great time relaxing by the fire pit but the septic tank kept alarming throughout our stay which required us to go outside in the middle of the night to periodically silence it. It was very loud and disrupted sleep. Unfortunately, maintenance didn’t come by during our stay so it wasn’t resolved before we left.

We had a great time staying. Tony was very responsive and the cottage was very relaxing. The place was very affordable given we were allowed to bring our two French Bulldogs. I recommend and would stay again in the future.

We had a very enjoyable stay. There were four adults and two children. There was plenty of space for the six of us and two dogs. It might feel a little tight with any additional guests. The neighborhood felt quiet and safe. The backyard is fenced in so it was perfect for our dogs, but the grass definitely needed mowed. The home was very clean and the beds were comfy. It could use some cosmetic touch-ups (i.e. touch up paint and new rugs with edges that aren’t sticking up as tripping hazards). Otherwise we were very pleased with the house and our stay. Tony was great to work with.

We had a great weekend here for a local fast pitch softball tournament. Everything was spotless. The beds were comfortable and it was peaceful but still 10-15 minutes from the town of Luray. I would recommend staying here. Host was very responsive!

The house was super clean, spacious, great big back yard that is completely fenced in and has a hot tub! It’s located very close to Luray town and easy to get to/from Skyline Drive in less than 30 minutes. My dog had an absolute blast running around the yard and we loved that the property was pet friendly. Tony was extremely communicative and so easy to get a hold of. Really appreciated his help throughout our stay!
Negative:
The pictures are a bit nicer than the actual property. There are a bunch of random holes in the walls and spackled areas that aren’t painted. The windows don’t have blinds so it’s hard to keep out light in the mornings. Not a big deal, but mostly just not as nice as photos. I also think it was quite expensive for not being super updated and having a check-out time as early as 10am.

This was perfect for me and my family since we wanted to explore the Shenandoah National Park, the Luray Caverns, and the towns nearby. The host provided a detailed manual which included information on how to access the amenities in the cottage, nearby grocery stores, and recommended attractions.
Negative:
The only issue I had was that the master bedroom's sheets were not clean upon arrival. As we were preparing for bed we had found hair and lint under the blankets, however the host was quick to help by providing us new bedsheets to use.

The property is nice, nice decor, clean, great vibe! We did have an issue with the air conditioning, which is why the review is 4 instead of 5 stars overall. Tony and his team were responsive when I messaged them about it, but we were not able to get the system working properly during our stay. Other than that, this was truly one of the better AirBNB stays that I’ve had and I would definitely stay here again!

This is the perfect house for a big group looking to stay near Shenandoah River and Luray Caverns.
We definitely enjoyed spending time in the backyard. We loved the fire pit, hot tub, and the outdoor yard game treasure box was full of games. We particularly enjoyed the giant Jenga and cornhole games. There was badminton but unfortunately the rackets were broken.
The bugs are no joke but we brought plenty of bug spray and kept the place clean to prevent ants from taking over.
Fantastic cottage for a great price. Highly recommend.

We had to make an unexpected last minute stop in Luray, and spent one night here. It was perfect for us! Tony was so wonderful and attentive, a great communicator! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a great bonus after a long day on the road! There was a fire pit and a big yard for the kids to play. It was a quiet peaceful area with a view of the mountains too! Plenty of room for each of us to have our own beds. We didn’t have time to do any thing in town, but it was not far from the house so it seemed like a great location. We enjoyed it so much we are already planning to stay there again on a return trip!

Very clean space. We have been to the Luray area for almost once a year, and this is by far the cleanest house we have been to. No weird bugs, centipedes, no strong deodorant to cover the bad toilet smell, etc, which are all very common in other airbnb in this area. The house style and decoration might not be perfect if you are aiming for showing off some pics on Ins, but it’s a great place for family gatherings – sufficient rooms, gas grill, fire pits, etc.

We stayed for a small bachelorette weekend trip and had a fun time in the area. It was relatively central to everything we wanted to do. We really enjoyed floating on the river and picked this place because there were enough beds/enough space for everyone to fit comfortably. The pictures and descriptions are accurate although I will say the place looked a little beat up/worse for wear in person – definitely clean etc. but also well used and with some things that are broken or missing a few extra touches I might expect for the price (no extra pillows/blankets/towels, hot tub kinda cloudy, etc.). Spacious backyard, we also booked specifically for the dog friendliness although they only let you bring 2 dogs (just a heads up, not stated anywhere but found out after booking thinking we could bring all our dogs as well). Host was very responsive and communicative. 🙂 We had a great time.

Beyond our expectations! From the time of booking 6 months out until our check out time, Tony was extremely responsive & communication above and beyond.
Had a fabulous family time with Son, daughter in law and granddaughters. Loved the deer in yard and little bunnies . Clean, roomy, things to do and games to play for just relaxing time.

A group of friends and I stayed here for a weekend. We all had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed the space. Check in was easy, and early check in was offered for an additional fee. We loved the backyard and certainly made good use of the fire pit, hot tub, and grill. Tony had awesome communication from booking to check out. Will absolutely look into Tony’s place again next time I’m looking for a Shenandoah getaway!

Really wonderful place! Large fenced backyard made us wish we brought the pups. The house was clean, and the beds were SO comfortable! The most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in away from home. You can tell the host was really intentional about guest comfort. There was plenty of room and very family friendly. Our favorite part was the evening – fireflies EVERYWHERE! We saw bunnies, deer, bats, etc. Can’t say enough great things about this place.

Tony was an excellent host. In all my time with Airbnb, I have never met a more responsive and easy to work with host. The home itself is spotless and gorgeous. It has all the amenities one would need on a vacation, everything needed to grill, everything needed to sit by the fire. Ample furniture. Great bedrooms! Ample supplies for dish washing. Beautiful surroundings! Gorgeous property.

Tony's place was a cute cottage nestled in a quiet community. Inside was clean and stocked with all the necessary stuff. The cottage is spacious and accommodating to families. However, we weren't able to enjoy the hot tub in the three days spent there as the water didn't get warm enough to get in and that was disappointing.

Tony was easy to communicate with and responded within a reasonable timeframe. Good location however the house pics were not was inside. I firmly believe the maintenance and cleaning staff are doing this property a disservice.
There were dirty dishes in the cupboards and the coffee pot was not cleaned. The yard has not been mowed in weeks which was a problem for our smaller dog. There were cobwebs throughout the house and it appeared the smoke alarm in the hallway had been removed. There was trash in the firepit and the plants around the property were overgrown.
The 2 main reasons we chose this place was proximity to the river and the hot tub. The walk to the 1st dock access was private property which was misleading in the description on ABNB. The hot tub was clear but once the jets were activated there was a foam that layered the top, almost like a cleaner/chemicals, which prevented us from going in.
Will go back to Luray but not this location.

House itself was decent. Hot tub was not full and did not work, everything felt bland in the house, no real “homey” feel. Hot water worked in the showers for about 3 minutes before it ran out. TV was missing a remote and we were instructed to download an app on our phone instead. Had to give my personal information to access the house manual which I thought was excessive. Good spot to stay, but if you’re looking for a place in Luray with a hot tub I’d look elsewhere.

Where do I start… When we first arrived there was a loud beeping noise that would not turn off! (turned to out to be the sewage system) The place was not very clean, the mirrors were dirty, clothing left in the dryer, multiple piles of dog poop along the drive way, and the hallway bathroom walls we’re disgusting. I was very disappointed to find out the hot tub was broken (which was the whole reason i chose this place) Which was a huge let down, there was also water damage in the bathrooms, hangers/hooks coming out of the wall & chipped wood on the doors. The backyard is also a lot smaller than it looks in the photos. I also think it’s weird that they charge almost a $200 cleaning fee and you have to clean everything yourself, even take the trash out to the street. Yet it doesn’t look that clean. A lot of the furniture is cheap, and there’s only one tv in the entire house. Overall not a great experience and completely overpriced especially for all the amenities that were broken.

Loud alarm was on when arrived and we were not notified their sewage system was not working properly which led to an annoying sound all night. I specifically booked this spot because of the hot tub, the water did not get hot at all even when instructions were sent, which was my biggest disappointment. NONE of the windows locked which was super uncomfortable because they’re all at ground level. Don’t recommend for groups more than 3 as hot water starts to run out during 2nd person shower, so we had to be quick. Main bathroom shower was extremely dirty so everyone used the bedroom shower. Driveway was covered in extreme ice, cars got stuck pulling in and out and caused my sister to slip. Power went out during our stay and was recovered 30-45 mins later. Lastly, when arrived, we called to ask if it was normal that the basement window was broken off & an alarm was going off as it seemed as if someone broke in, we were told maintenance would call and we did not receive a call at all.

The house was clean and peaceful. We had a great time relaxing by the fire pit but the septic tank kept alarming throughout our stay which required us to go outside in the middle of the night to periodically silence it. It was very loud and disrupted sleep. Unfortunately, maintenance didn’t come by during our stay so it wasn’t resolved before we left.

We had a very enjoyable stay. There were four adults and two children. There was plenty of space for the six of us and two dogs. It might feel a little tight with any additional guests. The neighborhood felt quiet and safe. The backyard is fenced in so it was perfect for our dogs, but the grass definitely needed mowed. The home was very clean and the beds were comfy. It could use some cosmetic touch-ups (i.e. touch up paint and new rugs with edges that aren't sticking up as tripping hazards). Otherwise we were very pleased with the house and our stay. Tony was great to work with.

We had a great weekend here for a local fast pitch softball tournament. Everything was spotless. The beds were comfortable and it was peaceful but still 10-15 minutes from the town of Luray. I would recommend staying here. Host was very responsive!

The house was super clean, spacious, great big back yard that is completely fenced in and has a hot tub! It’s located very close to Luray town and easy to get to/from Skyline Drive in less than 30 minutes. My dog had an absolute blast running around the yard and we loved that the property was pet friendly. Tony was extremely communicative and so easy to get a hold of. Really appreciated his help throughout our stay!

The pictures are a bit nicer than the actual property. There are a bunch of random holes in the walls and spackled areas that aren’t painted. The windows don’t have blinds so it’s hard to keep out light in the mornings. Not a big deal, but mostly just not as nice as photos. I also think it was quite expensive for not being super updated and having a check-out time as early as 10am.

First of all, 1/10 is mostly to show how disappointed this stay has been.
Pictures are quite the opposite of what you will get for real, as this is not Modern at all, it is a work-in-progress. Renovation everywhere.
It is spacious but it could be more than that. Nothing more positive to say about our stay.
Negative:
It looks like from the beginning you can get a good communication with people in charge, but it is just fake, you will get answers but no help at all.
First, I had to contact the property to get the lockbox number when we arrived.
At first sight it looks like the home has been cleaned and then you realised it has been very lightly cleaned :
some dishes dirty, carpet not vacuumed, water in jacuzzi very dirty, coffee grounds still in the machine, food dripping in microwave and more.
The BBQ grill was dirty as well, and when we wanted to grill, the 2 propane tanks (including the spare one) were empty. After contacting the person in charge, who assured us it will be taken care of the day after, no one came to change them for our entire stay.
The yard was in a very bad shape and maybe this is the end of winter but we could not let our dog run freely as there were a ton of garbage open around. we found several dog poop bags from previous visitors which were left next to the deck.
The jacuzzi cover is damaged and it puts pieces of styrofoam everywhere in the water.
Had to scoop it before we can ''enjoy'' it.
So much to say... some pics attached.
The house overall was under renovation.

It was perfect for our family and our large dog Just make sure you find a way to secure the gate and you have a huge yard for the dog to run around in. Clean house, very comfortable beds and a nice big TV in the living room. What more can you ask for? Oh yeah a hot tub. 10 out of 10.

A nice place to stay for the night. However the cleaners could do better. We had to pick up numerous legos off the floor, there were grapes on the ground and old food left on silverware. The hot tub was way too dirty to use and there was trash littered around the backyard. Tony communicated well and was very friendly. Out of their control but there were two neighbor mastiffs that got loose with chains around their neck trying to get to our dog. Was a little disappointed but would still recommend

This house is in a local neighborhood where people live and go to work on a daily basis. There is a low income house across the street and does not give you a feeling of privacy, especially in the winter time when the leaves are all gone. The water quality of the house is very poor, and I believe had something to do with the hot tub smelling completely off. We were checked 30 minutes after our supposed check in, which is at a late 4pm in the evening, and were finally given the code to the door at 4:30ish. When contacted the company about regarding the hot tub, they said they would send someone to check it out, however they never came nor checked up on the situation. They charge a cleaning fee like everywhere but want you to pretty much leave the place spotless and take out your own trash which is in the front yard. Lastly, their check-out time was at 10 am, which was ridiculously early considering we purchased 2 nights of stay. Therefore, felt like we didn't get a decent deal.

This was perfect for me and my family since we wanted to explore the Shenandoah National Park, the Luray Caverns, and the towns nearby. The host provided a detailed manual which included information on how to access the amenities in the cottage, nearby grocery stores, and recommended attractions.
Negative:
The only issue I had was that the master bedroom's sheets were not clean upon arrival. As we were preparing for bed we had found hair and lint under the blankets, however the host was quick to help by providing us new bedsheets to use.

Stayed at this Airbnb, spacious but had issues. The hot tub needed new water, a point the host should note. The house felt well-used but was clean. An odd request from the host was to cover the cost of a TV broken by previous guests, which seemed unfair. Also, check-in was delayed by two hours, disrupting plans.
The thermostat was broken, and the host's response was unhelpful. A handyman came to fix it unexpectedly, without prior notice.
Overall, it's a nice space but the experience had its downsides. Hope the host improves for future stays.

The cottage was really cute and the outside areas are great. If I could rate the outside space separately I’d give it a 5/5. Unfortunately, during our stay the hvac was faulty- even if the thermostat was turned off, it pumped hot air, on high, constantly. Despite how cute the inside was, we could barely spend any time actually inside. We notified the hosts when we checked in and they were responsive and apologetic, but unable get anyone to service the hvac. They offered a 20% refund after the 1st night but sadly the problem got worse the 2nd night. At 12am it was 89 degrees and the hosts, while responsive, had no solution. We contemplated sleeping outside or in our cars. We tried asking if they’d increase the 1st nights refund given it got worse but they declined. I think it’s important to note the hosts own and list 50+ cabins/cottages in PA, WV, & VA so I feel that they could’ve provided a bit more of a refund since the problem got worse and they didn’t/were unable to do anything

Tony was a great host, very responsive to all messages and we got messages throughout our stay from them just checking in.
The property is nice, nice decor, clean, great vibe! We did have an issue with the air conditioning, which is why the review is 4 instead of 5 stars overall. Tony and his team were responsive when I messaged them about it, but we were not able to get the system working properly during our stay. Other than that, this was truly one of the better AirBNB stays that I’ve had and I would definitely stay here again!

During our stay the AC / Heat was broken. We entered the house it was 96 degrees. Turning the AC on or off didn’t fix the issue. Hot air continued to blow out the vents. The host provided no valuable instructions to resolve the issue nor was a repair man sent to the house to repair the AC. This forced us to spend no time in the Airbnb and have lots of trouble sleeping at night.

This is the perfect house for a big group looking to stay near Shenandoah River and Luray Caverns.
We definitely enjoyed spending time in the backyard. We loved the fire pit, hot tub, and the outdoor yard game treasure box was full of games. We particularly enjoyed the giant Jenga and cornhole games. There was badminton but unfortunately the rackets were broken.
The bugs are no joke but we brought plenty of bug spray and kept the place clean to prevent ants from taking over.
Fantastic cottage for a great price. Highly recommend.

We had to make an unexpected last minute stop in Luray, and spent one night here. It was perfect for us! Tony was so wonderful and attentive, a great communicator! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a great bonus after a long day on the road! There was a fire pit and a big yard for the kids to play. It was a quiet peaceful area with a view of the mountains too! Plenty of room for each of us to have our own beds. We didn’t have time to do any thing in town, but it was not far from the house so it seemed like a great location. We enjoyed it so much we are already planning to stay there again on a return trip!

Very clean space. We have been to the Luray area for almost once a year, and this is by far the cleanest house we have been to. No weird bugs, centipedes, no strong deodorant to cover the bad toilet smell, etc, which are all very common in other airbnb in this area. The house style and decoration might not be perfect if you are aiming for showing off some pics on Ins, but it's a great place for family gatherings - sufficient rooms, gas grill, fire pits, etc.

We stayed for a small bachelorette weekend trip and had a fun time in the area. It was relatively central to everything we wanted to do. We really enjoyed floating on the river and picked this place because there were enough beds/enough space for everyone to fit comfortably. The pictures and descriptions are accurate although I will say the place looked a little beat up/worse for wear in person - definitely clean etc. but also well used and with some things that are broken or missing a few extra touches I might expect for the price (no extra pillows/blankets/towels, hot tub kinda cloudy, etc.). Spacious backyard, we also booked specifically for the dog friendliness although they only let you bring 2 dogs (just a heads up, not stated anywhere but found out after booking thinking we could bring all our dogs as well). Host was very responsive and communicative. 🙂 We had a great time.

Beyond our expectations! From the time of booking 6 months out until our check out time, Tony was extremely responsive & communication above and beyond.
Had a fabulous family time with Son, daughter in law and granddaughters. Loved the deer in yard and little bunnies . Clean, roomy, things to do and games to play for just relaxing time.

A group of friends and I stayed here for a weekend. We all had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed the space. Check in was easy, and early check in was offered for an additional fee. We loved the backyard and certainly made good use of the fire pit, hot tub, and grill. Tony had awesome communication from booking to check out. Will absolutely look into Tony’s place again next time I’m looking for a Shenandoah getaway!

Really wonderful place! Large fenced backyard made us wish we brought the pups. The house was clean, and the beds were SO comfortable! The most comfortable beds I've ever slept in away from home. You can tell the host was really intentional about guest comfort. There was plenty of room and very family friendly. Our favorite part was the evening - fireflies EVERYWHERE! We saw bunnies, deer, bats, etc. Can't say enough great things about this place.
