Absolutely beautiful! Amazing indoor fire place, wrap around porch, and view.
Tony was a great host, who checked in during our visit to make sure we had everything we needed and to offer some local recommendations which I really appreciated! We were also provided with some necessities (soap, toilet paper, linens, paper towels, etc) that many airbnbs don’t provide, as well as a first aid kid and fire extinguisher that helped ease my mind when using the fireplace.
Location was perfect, just close enough to Harper’s ferry, Antietam, and the C&O to have a short drive and far enough away to feel secluded and private! DoorDash was also easy and had lots of restaurants (both local and chain) within 10 miles.
If you’re looking for somewhere close to history but you’re also a nature lover like me, this Airbnb is perfect!!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Tony’s place with our two dogs! The cabin felt just like home and the surrounding area is beautiful. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The location is great for hiking, other outdoor activities, and we visited some amazing wineries and breweries! The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great as well. There were a few minor things not working but nothing that affected the quality of our stay. We would definitely love to stay again!

We were pleased that the home matched the listing perfectly. It was a quick 12 minute drive to the heart of Harper’s Ferry. The neighboring homes are far enough away that it was still a peaceful and somewhat private property. With that being said, we did see the occasional critter as the home is in the woods so we were just careful to keep everything picked up. The hot tub was clean and a relaxing end to our day. Thank you for hosting us, Tony!

My husband and I were in the area for his work, as well as our anniversary trip. We found Tony’s place to be a wonderful little getaway.
The chalet was as described. There are houses all around, and during the winter months that’s definitely more noticeable, but that was not an issue for us. We still had plenty of privacy to enjoy the hot tub, as well as grill. Both of which were fantastic.
Harper’s Ferry is a short drive away, which has some excellent dining choices. We prefer to cook for ourselves though, and were able to do so with most of what was in the chalet. I would however like to see the host have more cooking utensils available. The kitchen cabinets & drawers are scarce, but we made do with what was there, and what we brought ourselves.
The fireplace in the living room was my favorite! We loved having a fire to relax by.
My only pet peeve was the extremely strict check in & out, but we made that work as well.
We would definitely not hesitate to stay again!

Tony place feels like coming home. The jacuzzi was my favorite feature and the beds were soo comfy. The community lost power (due to heavy winds), and Tony was very responsive and quickly dropped-off wood for us to stay warm while the power lines were being repaired. Overall, I’d stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was cute and clean with all the amenities needed. Tony was very responsive and super helpful, making our stay that much better! This was a great spot to stay to be closer to the historical downtown to explore. Great chance for us to escape the city for a long weekend!

The Chalet is a great little get away!! We came to Harper’s Ferry for the Down hill Disco at Snow Riders, and the Chalet is a great spot to stay only a few minutes away! Beds are pretty comfy. We brought firewood and enjoyed the fireplace very very much after a frigid night of tubing! We also dethawed in the hot tub, which was relaxing. Overall a great experience!

We love a hot tub and this was the best one we’ve experienced with Airbnb . Surprisingly nice texture and the heat and jets were just right.
We have a dog and he loved it. The fire pit was very nice and easy to use and enjoy. And the space inside was very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were both on point, and the TV was very nice as well. The bed was comfy and the host was excellent. It’s close enough to stores and historic Harper’s Ferry to really make a nice home base. Highly recommend Bagel Chick in Charles Town and going to Harper’s Ferry at sunrise.

Biggest pros to this stay were the beautiful fireplace inside that we used twice and the closeness to Harper’s Ferry (which was the reason for our trip). This was close to everything we needed (grocery shopping, restaurants and the national park), but be warned that the drive up the mountain to the property isn’t for the weak haha. The property is very simple , was clean , and worked for our family of 3 (including a toddler). Our toddler liked the deer he saw every day in the yard and running around the yard . Only issue was the heat . The downstairs where my toddler slept didn’t get warmer than 66 ish degrees . However, the bedding was warm and he was unphased . Property manager is very responsive . Overall happy with our stay !

If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay near Harper’s Ferry, this is it! The home was very cozy and charming, and the property was well-maintained. We loved the wrap/around porch (didn’t get to use the hot tub, but looked nice!), and the yard was great for relaxing by a fire. We did wish there was a tv upstairs, but there’s plenty of room in the finished basement which has a tv, sofa, and pool table, so we could hang out there. While you have to take a few windy roads to get to the park, it’s only a short 10-minute drive away. Plus, there’s more to explore in nearby Charles Town, too! We (and our pups!) loved our stay.

Wonderful location in a quiet neighborhood. So close to Harpers Ferry National Park, Harpers Ferry Brewing and many other sights. Grocery and gas stations also close. Didn’t get to raft this time but lots of fun being had on the rivers! Tony very responsive during our stay. Enjoyed the fire pit each night (firewood available at Food Lion). Would def recommend and hope to return to do a winery tour.

We visited for a couple days for work and this was a nice spot close to Charles Town and Harper’s Ferry. Everything was as expected. Good communication from Tony throughout stay. It was pretty cold during our stay so we didn’t enjoy the outside area much, but it looked nice. Would stay again.

Everything was great – quiet, relaxing getaway for a couple days super close to Harper’s Ferry Park and Town. The cabin was super clean and comfortable, we loved sitting in the hot tub in the evening which was right outside the dining room on the deck, and Tony was super proactive and responsive from before our visit to after checkout. We would highly recommend this house to anyone visiting the area.

The cabin was very cozy and perfect for a couple’s getaway retreat. The cabin was located about 10-15 minutes from town and was in a quiet neighborhood. We had a great time using the hot tub and indoor fireplace.
Things to note:
We were only given one bath towel each, even with my initial request to have more before arrival. These towels had a strong chlorine odor. Since we had used the hot tub multiple times during our stay, it was inconvenient and uncomfortable not having an extra towel for the hot tub in 38 degree weather. Tony tried to assist with this issue but only two hand towels could be provided.

Just a 5 minute drive into Harpers Ferry, this cozy cabin was the perfect place to get away and unwind. I especially liked the kitchen and setup. While it was perfect for my solo stay, this would also be a great spot for families or a group of friends.
Negative:
There was a significant difference in price from what was listed on Booking.com and the actual price. That said, it was a great place and I'd love to go back!

We had a great time with two small kids. Harper’s Ferry was very interesting and eating at the Rabbit Hole was a highlight, especially since our dinner was in one of the “bubbles”.
Deer seemed unafraid of people and it wasn’t surprising to look out the window and see 3-6 deer standing right outside. It was a relaxing stay and the bonfire was almost as fun as the hot tub for our little ones.
The house was clean and perfect for our family. We’d highly recommend to friends.

Me and my boyfriend stayed for our two year anniversary for almost a whole week. The house is GORGEOUS and the bed is SO COMFY. Very homey. The house is very cold (we went in the winter) so it would have been great to maybe have a bin of throw blankets. There were a few hiccups right off the bat like towels being forgotten about and the back door not locking. Both of which Tony very quickly responded with how to fix. I found some of the instructions slightly unclear with things like the lever for the fireplace being listed as on the left when it is on the right. Hot tub was very clean as well. We didn’t really mind, but the neighbors can very easily see the hot tub, maybe a privacy screen can be added. All in all very great host and location. Harpers ferry was also extremely adorable.

Tony always responded to my texts within the hour, and was very helpful to us. The location is deep into the neighborhood, and a bit smaller than it seemed in the pictures. The neigbors left us alone the whole time and probably saw 2 actual people in the days we were there (not including cars). All in all for the price, Id say its definitely worth it!

We brought our grandsons to go snow tubing at Snow Riders & to explore the history oh Harper’s Ferry. When we arrived, there were numerous deer in the nearby woods. The boys loved seeing them! The neighborhood was peaceful & quiet. The house was comfortable, clean, & the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the hot tub after an evening of snow tubing. We had an issue with the bathtub faucet late in the evening & Tony addressed that as quickly as possible. He was very supportive. We all enjoyed our stay.

We stayed three nights at the cabin and had a pretty good time. Overall, it was a good experience and we would stay there again, but there are a few things that could be improved.
There was a screw sticking out of one of the red chairs directly at head level. It would have been quite painful if someone “found” that when sitting down. We removed the screw and put it inside the house. We also found loose screws lying around the fireplace. This has the potential to be dangerous for small children.
In the basement living area, there was a good amount of dog hair and food crumbs on and around the pull out sofa. Other than that the house was very clean. Also, the pull out sofa was not a viable option for sleeping— the mattress was very thin and not comfortable for an adult.
A few more bathing towels and dish towels would also be nice. Overall, a good place and nice location.

Tony’s place was quaint and only a few minutes from the town of Harpers Ferry and the historical national park. This house is located on the mountain in a neighborhood (there’s not much space between you and your neighbors) with lots of access to nature. Access to grocery stores are at least 15-20 minutes away, but a well planned trip can cover you for an extended weekend. We enjoyed ourselves!

Tony didn’t disappoint again. I work in Frederick and the commute to his Airbnb is way shorter than driving back home. The place is peaceful and perfect for unwinding after a long day. I can’t get over how beautiful the landscape around is. I got to see a lot of deer and squirrels too. It’s a perfect place for someone who loves nature and needs to relax. Thank you Tony!

This place is exactly as described so it gets a 5 star rating. Communication was great, even had a small issue with water levels in the hot tub and they went above and beyond.
There’s so much recreation in this area it’s amazing. In 3 days we kayaked, hiked, and did some history walks. For those in the comments complaining about some bugs outside or the outside not being power washed… your in a cabin in the woods. c’mon now, enjoy.

Inside of the house was very clean & modern with a home like comfort! Loved the decor & design! Mattresses were great, actually slept on the bunk bed…lol.
Hot tub worked great!! Could’ve used a little more water but still very good. Also, Exterior of house & the beautiful wrap around deck need a good pressure washing.
Lots of deer wandering around the neighborhood.
Fun nearby towns but it takes quite some time to get to anything; once off the main roads they become very steep, narrow & twisty.
Great place if you want solitude & have a 4×4 or AWD vehicle…but make sure to stop at the store for food/drinks/ice.
Would definitely return.

Tony’s place was as lovely as the pictures. He was very communicative and helpful. It was very clean. We were visiting during an unusually strong heat wave. The downstairs bedroom and pull out couch area were kind of warm at night without any a/c. The upstairs bedroom has a window a/c unit that works great. Something to consider if your party requires all three sleeping areas be very cold. We were fine with it. We made s’mores by the fire and watched the deer play on the lawn. The porch is surrounded by trees. Drinking morning coffee listening to birds and trees just can’t be beat. It was a wonderful trip.

Tony was great to work with. Communicated early and often to try to make sure that we were able to easily find the cabin and get all that we needed. Very good host. On our side, we made a mistake and somehow missed that it has only one bathroom. For six people it was a strain. The tub didn’t drain, but they immediately sent a handyman to fix the tub. Another difficulty was an odor in the main bedroom. It has adequate AC, a fireplace, firepit with nice chairs, a deck with grill and hot tub.

The house was exactly as described and pictured in the listing. My boyfriend and I came to Harper’s Ferry with our dog to go hiking. This was the perfect place to stay. A close enough drive to downtown, but also far enough away to have privacy and some outside land. We made a fire and grilled each night and stayed outside undisturbed. Tony provided great restaurant, shopping and hiking recommendations as well. Great communication the entire time. Would definitely stay again!

Came for a solo writing retreat and loved this space! Very cozy and warm but modern decor, really clean, and less than 10 minutes away from Harper’s Ferry town center. I particularly loved the fireplace and the birds and deer that came to visit the porch! Had everything I needed and Tony was proactive in reaching out and checking in. Will absolutely stay again, such a gem of a spot!

Everything was as advertised! The property looks slightly smaller in person than in the pictures but every bit as lovely. As stated in the handbook, we ran into some critters: some ants in the bathroom, squirrels playing tag on the roof, and a particularly scary spider my partner took outside. Upon our arrival, there was also a deer outside in the neighbor’s yard! Good to note that if you are above 6’1 be careful of the light fixture in the kitchen and the ceiling coming up and down on the stairs. Overall, we had a wonderful stay; Tony was very kind and proactive about reaching out with reminders and was quick with responses! Harper’s Ferry was every bit as peaceful and scenic as we had hoped 🙂

The house was very close to Harpers Ferry. House was very clean and the mattress n couch were very comfortable. N the hot tub was just perfect. One significant issue was that there is no window, fan or air conditioning in the room that’s on the lower floor, the one with the bunk bed. The room felt stuffy unless we ran the tiny air conditioner upstairs living room all night. I though it was an extreme waste of energy but there was no other option. Another small issue was that the microwave was not working and we were not informed. Not fun to eat cold take aways. Otherwise we had a great stay. Oh n the patio was so peaceful n green!!

Absolutely beautiful! Amazing indoor fire place, wrap around porch, and view.
Tony was a great host, who checked in during our visit to make sure we had everything we needed and to offer some local recommendations which I really appreciated! We were also provided with some necessities (soap, toilet paper, linens, paper towels, etc) that many airbnbs don’t provide, as well as a first aid kid and fire extinguisher that helped ease my mind when using the fireplace.
Location was perfect, just close enough to Harper’s ferry, Antietam, and the C&O to have a short drive and far enough away to feel secluded and private! DoorDash was also easy and had lots of restaurants (both local and chain) within 10 miles.
If you’re looking for somewhere close to history but you’re also a nature lover like me, this Airbnb is perfect!!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Tony’s place with our two dogs! The cabin felt just like home and the surrounding area is beautiful. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The location is great for hiking, other outdoor activities, and we visited some amazing wineries and breweries! The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great as well. There were a few minor things not working but nothing that affected the quality of our stay. We would definitely love to stay again!

We were pleased that the home matched the listing perfectly. It was a quick 12 minute drive to the heart of Harper’s Ferry. The neighboring homes are far enough away that it was still a peaceful and somewhat private property. With that being said, we did see the occasional critter as the home is in the woods so we were just careful to keep everything picked up. The hot tub was clean and a relaxing end to our day. Thank you for hosting us, Tony!

My husband and I were in the area for his work, as well as our anniversary trip. We found Tony’s place to be a wonderful little getaway.
The chalet was as described. There are houses all around, and during the winter months that’s definitely more noticeable, but that was not an issue for us. We still had plenty of privacy to enjoy the hot tub, as well as grill. Both of which were fantastic.
Harper’s Ferry is a short drive away, which has some excellent dining choices. We prefer to cook for ourselves though, and were able to do so with most of what was in the chalet. I would however like to see the host have more cooking utensils available. The kitchen cabinets & drawers are scarce, but we made do with what was there, and what we brought ourselves.
The fireplace in the living room was my favorite! We loved having a fire to relax by.
My only pet peeve was the extremely strict check in & out, but we made that work as well.
We would definitely not hesitate to stay again!

Tony place feels like coming home. The jacuzzi was my favorite feature and the beds were soo comfy. The community lost power (due to heavy winds), and Tony was very responsive and quickly dropped-off wood for us to stay warm while the power lines were being repaired. Overall, I’d stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was cute and clean with all the amenities needed. Tony was very responsive and super helpful, making our stay that much better! This was a great spot to stay to be closer to the historical downtown to explore. Great chance for us to escape the city for a long weekend!

The Chalet is a great little get away!! We came to Harper's Ferry for the Down hill Disco at Snow Riders, and the Chalet is a great spot to stay only a few minutes away! Beds are pretty comfy. We brought firewood and enjoyed the fireplace very very much after a frigid night of tubing! We also dethawed in the hot tub, which was relaxing. Overall a great experience!

We love a hot tub and this was the best one we’ve experienced with Airbnb . Surprisingly nice texture and the heat and jets were just right.
We have a dog and he loved it. The fire pit was very nice and easy to use and enjoy. And the space inside was very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were both on point, and the TV was very nice as well. The bed was comfy and the host was excellent. It’s close enough to stores and historic Harper’s Ferry to really make a nice home base. Highly recommend Bagel Chick in Charles Town and going to Harper’s Ferry at sunrise.

We had a wonderful stay overall, finding the hot tub to be a fantastic and much-appreciated amenity, perfect for unwinding after a long day of hiking, especially during the colder season, and the location was excellent, being only a 10-minute drive to Harpers Ferry. Biggest pros to this stay were the beautiful fireplace inside that we used twice and the closeness to Harper’s Ferry (which was the reason for our trip). This was close to everything we needed (grocery shopping, restaurants and the national park), but be warned that the drive up the mountain to the property isn’t for the weak haha. The property is very simple , was clean , and worked for our family of 3 (including a toddler). Our toddler liked the deer he saw every day in the yard and running around the yard . Only issue was the heat . The downstairs where my toddler slept didn’t get warmer than 66 ish degrees . However, the bedding was warm and he was unphased . Property manager is very responsive . Overall happy with our stay !

If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay near Harper’s Ferry, this is it! The home was very cozy and charming, and the property was well-maintained. We loved the wrap/around porch (didn’t get to use the hot tub, but looked nice!), and the yard was great for relaxing by a fire. We did wish there was a tv upstairs, but there’s plenty of room in the finished basement which has a tv, sofa, and pool table, so we could hang out there. While you have to take a few windy roads to get to the park, it’s only a short 10-minute drive away. Plus, there’s more to explore in nearby Charles Town, too! We (and our pups!) loved our stay.

Even though there were several problems with our house-the A/C didn't cool like it should and ceiling condensation they were quickly fixed by their wonderful handyman ,Dutch. We were properly compensated for our troubles.

Wonderful location in a quiet neighborhood. So close to Harpers Ferry National Park, Harpers Ferry Brewing and many other sights. Grocery and gas stations also close. Didn’t get to raft this time but lots of fun being had on the rivers! Tony very responsive during our stay. Enjoyed the fire pit each night (firewood available at Food Lion). Would def recommend and hope to return to do a winery tour.

We visited for a couple days for work and this was a nice spot close to Charles Town and Harper's Ferry. Everything was as expected. Good communication from Tony throughout stay. It was pretty cold during our stay so we didn't enjoy the outside area much, but it looked nice. Would stay again.

We were very excited for a Mother’s Day weekend away in Harper’s Ferry. Unfortunately the cabin made our stay so unenjoyable that we left early.
- the cabin was not properly cleaned. There were pieces of food, debris, and tons of small objects an infant could choke on (including several sharp objects) all over the house
- there were live bees/wasps living in the basement of the rental.
- the hot tub water green, had traces of scum, and was clearly not properly cleaned.
- there were insect traps all over the home, including in the kitchen where food is supposed to be prepared (as someone who also owns a house in the woods I understand bugs are a constant issue but this is an unsafe practice of dealing with them)
- there were exposed nails / staples around the house, including the stairwell.
This list doesnt even include issues with the comfort of the rental or strange customer service. I would not recommend this rental or any rental managed by Tony (he has several in area)

Everything was great - quiet, relaxing getaway for a couple days super close to Harper's Ferry Park and Town. The cabin was super clean and comfortable, we loved sitting in the hot tub in the evening which was right outside the dining room on the deck, and Tony was super proactive and responsive from before our visit to after checkout. We would highly recommend this house to anyone visiting the area.

The cabin was very cozy and perfect for a couple’s getaway retreat. The cabin was located about 10-15 minutes from town and was in a quiet neighborhood. We had a great time using the hot tub and indoor fireplace.
Things to note:
We were only given one bath towel each, even with my initial request to have more before arrival. These towels had a strong chlorine odor. Since we had used the hot tub multiple times during our stay, it was inconvenient and uncomfortable not having an extra towel for the hot tub in 38 degree weather. Tony tried to assist with this issue but only two hand towels could be provided.

Just a 5 minute drive into Harpers Ferry, this cozy cabin was the perfect place to get away and unwind. I especially liked the kitchen and setup. While it was perfect for my solo stay, this would also be a great spot for families or a group of friends.
Negative:
There was a significant difference in price from what was listed on Booking.com and the actual price. That said, it was a great place and I'd love to go back!

We had a great time with two small kids. Harper’s Ferry was very interesting and eating at the Rabbit Hole was a highlight, especially since our dinner was in one of the “bubbles”.
Deer seemed unafraid of people and it wasn’t surprising to look out the window and see 3-6 deer standing right outside. It was a relaxing stay and the bonfire was almost as fun as the hot tub for our little ones.
The house was clean and perfect for our family. We’d highly recommend to friends.

Me and my boyfriend stayed for our two year anniversary for almost a whole week. The house is GORGEOUS and the bed is SO COMFY. Very homey. The house is very cold (we went in the winter) so it would have been great to maybe have a bin of throw blankets. There were a few hiccups right off the bat like towels being forgotten about and the back door not locking. Both of which Tony very quickly responded with how to fix. I found some of the instructions slightly unclear with things like the lever for the fireplace being listed as on the left when it is on the right. Hot tub was very clean as well. We didn’t really mind, but the neighbors can very easily see the hot tub, maybe a privacy screen can be added. All in all very great host and location. Harpers ferry was also extremely adorable.

Tony always responded to my texts within the hour, and was very helpful to us. The location is deep into the neighborhood, and a bit smaller than it seemed in the pictures. The neigbors left us alone the whole time and probably saw 2 actual people in the days we were there (not including cars). All in all for the price, Id say its definitely worth it!

We brought our grandsons to go snow tubing at Snow Riders & to explore the history oh Harper’s Ferry. When we arrived, there were numerous deer in the nearby woods. The boys loved seeing them! The neighborhood was peaceful & quiet. The house was comfortable, clean, & the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the hot tub after an evening of snow tubing. We had an issue with the bathtub faucet late in the evening & Tony addressed that as quickly as possible. He was very supportive. We all enjoyed our stay.

We stayed three nights at the cabin and had a pretty good time. Overall, it was a good experience and we would stay there again, but there are a few things that could be improved.
There was a screw sticking out of one of the red chairs directly at head level. It would have been quite painful if someone “found” that when sitting down. We removed the screw and put it inside the house. We also found loose screws lying around the fireplace. This has the potential to be dangerous for small children.
In the basement living area, there was a good amount of dog hair and food crumbs on and around the pull out sofa. Other than that the house was very clean. Also, the pull out sofa was not a viable option for sleeping— the mattress was very thin and not comfortable for an adult.
A few more bathing towels and dish towels would also be nice. Overall, a good place and nice location.

Tony's place was quaint and only a few minutes from the town of Harpers Ferry and the historical national park. This house is located on the mountain in a neighborhood (there's not much space between you and your neighbors) with lots of access to nature. Access to grocery stores are at least 15-20 minutes away, but a well planned trip can cover you for an extended weekend. We enjoyed ourselves!

Tony didn't disappoint again. I work in Frederick and the commute to his Airbnb is way shorter than driving back home. The place is peaceful and perfect for unwinding after a long day. I can't get over how beautiful the landscape around is. I got to see a lot of deer and squirrels too. It's a perfect place for someone who loves nature and needs to relax. Thank you Tony!

This place is exactly as described so it gets a 5 star rating. Communication was great, even had a small issue with water levels in the hot tub and they went above and beyond.
There's so much recreation in this area it's amazing. In 3 days we kayaked, hiked, and did some history walks. For those in the comments complaining about some bugs outside or the outside not being power washed... your in a cabin in the woods. c'mon now, enjoy.

Overall, very relaxing & private! Was perfect for a weekend getaway.
Host was very responsive & made sure I had extra towels as requested.
Inside of the house was very clean & modern with a home like comfort! Loved the decor & design! Mattresses were great, actually slept on the bunk bed…lol.
Hot tub worked great!! Could’ve used a little more water but still very good. Also, Exterior of house & the beautiful wrap around deck need a good pressure washing.
Lots of deer wandering around the neighborhood.
Fun nearby towns but it takes quite some time to get to anything; once off the main roads they become very steep, narrow & twisty.
Great place if you want solitude & have a 4x4 or AWD vehicle…but make sure to stop at the store for food/drinks/ice.
Would definitely return.

Clean. Nicely decorated. Nice deck with a grill and hot tub. Nice open side yard with a fire pit and comfortable seating. Quick response from rental company/ owners.
Negative:
No central air. Only two upstairs window units which did not cool the downstairs in the least where the entertainment room (with the ONLY tv) was located as well as the only other bedroom. There was no fan available to attempt to pull some of the cool air downstairs and the temperature was in the 90s during our stay. The biggest problem we encountered though was running out of water…the water tanks were not full on arrival and on day 3 there was no water coming from any source in the house.

Tony’s place was as lovely as the pictures. He was very communicative and helpful. It was very clean. We were visiting during an unusually strong heat wave. The downstairs bedroom and pull out couch area were kind of warm at night without any a/c. The upstairs bedroom has a window a/c unit that works great. Something to consider if your party requires all three sleeping areas be very cold. We were fine with it. We made s’mores by the fire and watched the deer play on the lawn. The porch is surrounded by trees. Drinking morning coffee listening to birds and trees just can’t be beat. It was a wonderful trip.

Driving distance to Harpers Ferry was ideal, and inside of the cabin was cozy. We liked deers outside welcoming us.
Negative:
Outdoor patio needed to be swept and outdoor furniture wiped. Toilet wasn’t flushing properly. For the price of one night, there should be water and tea included. Text message at 8am from the owner stating “don’t forget check out is at 10am and take your trash” was unprofessional and the service is not matching the price.

Tony was great to work with. Communicated early and often to try to make sure that we were able to easily find the cabin and get all that we needed. Very good host. On our side, we made a mistake and somehow missed that it has only one bathroom. For six people it was a strain. The tub didn't drain, but they immediately sent a handyman to fix the tub. Another difficulty was an odor in the main bedroom. It has adequate AC, a fireplace, firepit with nice chairs, a deck with grill and hot tub.

The interior of the unit was very clean except for all the kiddo finger smears on the back glass door to the deck. The unit is smaller than the pictures make it look. The advertised pool table is actually a child's pool table. Tony was responsive and kind enough to let me check in early due to some personal travel complications I experienced. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was clean. There is old carpet in the bedroom and the lower level is carpeted as well. I spent the better part of my first hour there sweeping the back deck where the table/hot tub are located and cleaning the fire pit. The porch furniture was filthy. The deck and wrap around porch also very dirty. The whole exterior needs a scrubbing. The fire pit had giant partially burnt logs in it and there were 2 busted beer bottles in the pit that I had to remove and shovel out excess ash and mud. There was litter around the fire place which I picked up. The unit is in a lower bracket development. Not worth the $.

The house was exactly as described and pictured in the listing. My boyfriend and I came to Harper’s Ferry with our dog to go hiking. This was the perfect place to stay. A close enough drive to downtown, but also far enough away to have privacy and some outside land. We made a fire and grilled each night and stayed outside undisturbed. Tony provided great restaurant, shopping and hiking recommendations as well. Great communication the entire time. Would definitely stay again!

Came for a solo writing retreat and loved this space! Very cozy and warm but modern decor, really clean, and less than 10 minutes away from Harper's Ferry town center. I particularly loved the fireplace and the birds and deer that came to visit the porch! Had everything I needed and Tony was proactive in reaching out and checking in. Will absolutely stay again, such a gem of a spot!

Everything was as advertised! The property looks slightly smaller in person than in the pictures but every bit as lovely. As stated in the handbook, we ran into some critters: some ants in the bathroom, squirrels playing tag on the roof, and a particularly scary spider my partner took outside. Upon our arrival, there was also a deer outside in the neighbor's yard! Good to note that if you are above 6'1 be careful of the light fixture in the kitchen and the ceiling coming up and down on the stairs. Overall, we had a wonderful stay; Tony was very kind and proactive about reaching out with reminders and was quick with responses! Harper's Ferry was every bit as peaceful and scenic as we had hoped 🙂

Everything as expected! Communication was great! We were in town for a couple of days for some fun at Charles Town Race track and just getting away! Beautiful Area and I wish we had more time to explore! Home is clean and neat.

Everything was as described and pictured. Place was easy to find and clean. Shopping and restaurants within reasonable driving distance. After check-in, host provides a very helpful website with all relevant details.

I don’t typically write reviews, but wanted to post something for the sake of others interested in this rental. First of all, Tony was very communicative, but it is clear that this is just one of many listings he manages, and the listing is not accurate.
The listing states that the rental is 10 minute drive from Harper’s Ferry, but there is currently a major road closure, resulting in a 30 minute detour (and even longer delays from other major routes to get to the rental). This is only disclosed in the manual sent after booking. When pointed out, Tony said he’d update the listing, but that does not appear to have happened (hence this review).
Also, as noted in a previous review, the microwave does not work. I had assumed this would have been repaired, as it was listed as an amenity, but it has not.
Otherwise, a nice enough spot. Just be sure to check in on the status of the road closure (if proximity and driving time are important to you) and/or microwave if you need it.

The house was very close to Harpers Ferry. House was very clean and the mattress n couch were very comfortable. N the hot tub was just perfect. One significant issue was that there is no window, fan or air conditioning in the room that's on the lower floor, the one with the bunk bed. The room felt stuffy unless we ran the tiny air conditioner upstairs living room all night. I though it was an extreme waste of energy but there was no other option. Another small issue was that the microwave was not working and we were not informed. Not fun to eat cold take aways. Otherwise we had a great stay. Oh n the patio was so peaceful n green!!

Great location; close to Harper’s Ferry, but felt far away. Nice neighborhood for walking. Lovely birdsong and fireflies. Relaxing hot tub. Genuine West Virginia feel/experience.
