This house is very roomy and was in a very private setting. Deer , raccoons and squirrels everywhere!! i was disappointed about the dryer not working forcing me to pack a lot more clothing.Not a fan of packing a lot for a vacation. I had suggested that they buy a couple of cheap drying racks so everyone would be satisfied but this solution was ignored . Surprising since that would bring value to house that has a pool available . A great place to dry wet towels and suites ( avoid possible damage to your home) Tony was very responsive when I contacted him about pool passes , he always had them waiting at the fitness center each day !!!

the pictures of this cabin are outdated and not what you walk into. the rule about no trash would be a lot easier to accommodate if you were supplied with a few more trash bags we had to use make shift trash bags the last 36 hours of stay. there was trash hidden in cubby and under couches and markers in the couches. I know it was a heat wave but the whole cabin was so hot the whole stay, it could use the ceiling fan that was pictured and no longer there. the pool access is some where down the road and I think an indoor pool from best of what I found, I wanted to be outside so the picture when booking was misleading. there's fire pits at close cabins but not this one. not even the fire table that's pictured again very misleading and disappointing Honestly I feel juked and played but we had fun outside the cabin

Beautiful, secluded little cabin in the woods. You have to cruise through a national forest to get to it which we loved. Keep in mind, you will have limited to no service in the surrounding areas but it is a great disconnect! We loved the hot tub and grilling out on the deck. There are guaranteed to be a few little insect friends staying with you but they weren’t a bother. Definitely recommend Tony’s place to anyone looking to connect with your people and the nature around you!

This cabin needs some pretty decent TLC, it doesn’t look like the photos because it needs maintenance, outside cleaning, new paint, etc. when we got there the WiFi was not working which was a big problem for us specifically as we wanted to enjoy a nice week inside the house just relaxing. The reason why I give this a pretty decent rating is because the management is amazing, they were very accommodating to all our requests which probably got annoying but they didn’t act like they minded. I think they have better cabins for sure, however I would book with them again strictly for how wonderful the management team is.

It was a great place, quiet and peaceful. We went there for Hiking nearby spot, it was great place. We loved the outdoor fireplace under the shed. It felt great while it was raining. Definitely recommend the place.

Very peaceful and quiet. Place was smaller then pictures looked. Make sure you write down codes 45 min away as you won’t have signal. Not many good restaurants close by but very peaceful.

We had a great stay at Tony's cabin. We appreciated the proactive communication. The cabin is really cute, spacious, and has a beautiful view. My boys were excited to play Golden Tee and video games. The cabin is less than a 10-minute drive to the grocery store and a few restaurants in Stanley and about a 15-minute drive into downtown Luray. We enjoyed our dinner at the Chop House Bistro and breakfasts at Broad Porch Coffee and Main Street Bakery, all in Luray. We'd happily stay here again!

Incredibly hot in the summer, portable ACs still only brought the inside temp to around 80F. Host is very responsive and respectful. Make sure your car has 4 wheel drive—steep gravel hill and country roads for at least 10 mins before you get there.

Great host, awesome location, 15 minutes from entrance to Skyline Drive or Luray Caverns. the Shendoah river outfitters is walking distance great spot. I wouldn't recommend renting a Chrysler Minivan it sat too low for the terrain. We would definitely book again highly recommend

We really enjoyed this cabin. It’s located in the a quiet area in middle of the woods close to the mountains. It feels private and secluded as there are no immediate neighbors. Wifi works very well. Stargazing was spectacular as it was a new moon. The area with the fire pit is very comfortable. The nearby Lost River State Park has good trails. I loved the decks around the cabin, beds were pretty comfortable. Kitchen is simple but reasonably equipped. They have coffee and a coffee machine but I recommend bringing your own if you’re into good coffee. Please note there’s very limited grocery stores in the area so be prepared. I totally recommend staying in this place.

Enjoyed a quick overnighter in Romney! The A-Frame Chalet was a good space for our family of four. We gently used the home to rest and checked out early the next morning. The 2 mile gravel drive is in good condition. Easy to find. There are other homes on the hill but this home sits by itself in wooded surroundings. Because of the bugs/flies on a hot summer day, we didn’t make use of the hot tub (also strong chlorine smell; would have needed a chance to air out). The spaces and decor were nice. Three AC units provided plenty of cooling. The basement tv space had only an exterior entrance. Great view of Romney and it was convenient for us to meet our kayak rental (check out Breezewood Adventures), up the river, closer to Moorefield. Sundays/Mondays are slower days in this neck of the woods. Fewer restaurants open. We absolutely loved the rolling valleys of this beautiful area of West Virginia! Host was friendly and responsive. Overall, great and peaceful stay.

Our stay at the Old Stonehouse Tavern was a delight. Fabulous and extensive renovations with fun and unique decor throughout. Something to look at and admire around every corner. Kitchen was fully stocked, exceeded expectations. We were there during an extreme heat wave and I must call out that the AC kept up with temps over 100 and we were very comfortable, thankfully. Feedback: the patio/hot tub area is quite overgrown and buggy. Landscaping needs maintenance. Overall, awesome place and perfect location.

My favorite part of the house were the beautiful big windows and forest views. When the sun shines in in the mornings, it gives such a cozy feeling. Everything worked well. There were 5 of us who stayed there; we didn’t need to use the upstairs loft. It was 3 kids and us 2 adults; there was plenty of space. The beds downstairs were so comfortable that I may buy the same mattress for my own house. The kitchen was well stocked, AC worked great. I liked that there was a keypad entry as well. The only thing I’d say for people to be mindful of is that in June, you will see more spiders and ants around the house and inside. I know this is natural, but be mindful of that since it’s in the middle of the woods. It’s a very private house, but it’s nice that there is a community of homes there! We enjoyed our stay — it was very peaceful there if you’d like to give your mind a rest.

Had a nice, short stay. Quaint A frame cabin. Good for 2 people, small bathroom and room. Stairs a bit steep and tricky to navigate but fine otherwise. Had a few small bugs in the house but otherwise no issues. Enjoyed the scenery and the surrounding area. Overall a great trip.

Great cabin in the woods. Fantastic kitchen for cooking and grocery store is only 15 minutes away! Watch out for the spiders outside… it is a forest after all! AC worked amazingly during an extreme heat warning too. Thanks Tony for an amazing stay!

Was the perfect location for a friends gathering of 12! We enjoyed tubing nearby and sunsets on the porch. Not a lot of yard space if you're looking for that, but plenty of places to relax outside. We loved that access to trails and the Appalachian Trail was just a short walk from the cabin! Would definitely recommend to others.

This is a nice place to stay, easy to find and very quiet. There is a parking lot next to the house. The location is very good, next to the Main Street with lots of restaurants and cafes. The room is clean and spacious, but the shower water pressure is a bit low for washing hair.

Negative: We waited over an hour for breakfast, then left. We later saw some people who also stayed at the legacy inn, and they said breakfast finally came but there wasn’t very much (and most of the people waiting gave up and left like us) The lawn was overgrown. The Dolly Parton suite is not nice.

What a treat! The energy of the house was calm and balanced. It was clean and had everything we needed! It is on top of a ridge with spectacular views! Tony was always available and helpful with any information we needed (but it wasn't much as everything was detailed in our check-in manual). We hope to return!

Great stay for our family of four. Loved the gaming room downstairs. Our favorite is the fire pit and hot tub. I would advise bringing any groceries with you. There is only one store within a reasonable distance (the community store), and the prices are a little high.
