The only negative, which I wouldn’t consider a big negative is the 5+ mile gravel road to it!

Our family with two teens and a pup had a great spring vacation time in VA where after epic hikes in Shenandoah NP we enjoyed a beautiful drive by Shenandoah river up to Tony’s place (deer, hawks, groundhog, ducks and more birds were spotted on the way). The house is peaceful and surrounded by nature, spacious, clean and thoughtfully designed, ideal for family meals made in fully stacked kitchen or cooked hotdogs and smores on fire pit. Very comfy beds, extra relaxing time available soaking in a bath tub or on a screen porch swinging couch with your favorite book. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us!

We had a great stay. The area felt very private and included everything we needed for the weekend. I appreciated having so many kitchen appliances/tools for making meals. The amenities had a lot of thought put into them and we enjoyed being able to spend time by the fire.

Place is serenely private. The fact that it takes 45 minutes to get to it is an added benefit when you want to get somewhere that’s secluded. The house is well built and the place was clean. The satellite Internet is surprisingly quick.

Our stay in Luray was thoroughly enjoyable. The house was clean, cosy and spacious. The outdoor area was pretty cool with the fire pit. One thing I recommend that people do is some stargazing. Given the location, there is very relatively light pollution, so the stars are very pretty to look at. The one criticism I have is that the WiFi was a spotty and unreliable, but it did give us the opportunity to unplug and enjoy the area.

If you are looking for a private place with beautiful scenery, this is it. Very clean and loved the large screened in porch. My only disappointment was with trash disposal, as guest are responsible for removing all of their trash prior to leaving. A list of trash disposable places are listed, (the closest 20 min away) however when I took our trash, signs were posted “for paying customers only” and nobody on site to pay, it felt a little sketchy as I didn’t want to be fined for using someones dumpster. I feel this could be handled better, especially with professional cleaners arriving after check-outs. Otherwise a very lovely and beautiful place. Definitely dog friendly and we enjoyed the fenced in play area. I would absolutely recommend to others.

Excellent location and property. Tony was very helpful. We brought our dog and used the fenced in yard – it was excellent. Would def stay again.

We had a great stay. Tony is excellent with communication and the place is very spacious! We also loved the well-stocked kitchen and the firepit! The only bummer is that the house is 30 minutes at least away from everything. It is on a gravel road that is far out from town. It’s nice because it’s beautiful and private but kind of a pain to have to drive so far for everything. But overall, a wonderful stay!

Pros:
1. Amenities: Both quality and quantity: They took care of everything – from the high quality propane grill and grill equipments to aluminium foil, toys for the kids, ample linens. you need something – its there and of very good quality.
2. Cleaniness: whole house and bathroom super clean. As you enter, you get a good feeling.
3. They showeled the ice before I arrived – super thankful for that.
4. There is a river very near.
Cons – There is only 1 – location is bit inconvenient – 40 minutes drive from luray caverns, and dumpster is 17 minute drive from the house. If you have to go to other direction at checkout, you will loose almost 45 minutes to throw the trash at specified location.
I will recommend this place to people needing a good time with family/friends.

We rarely stay at the same place twice, but we are already planning a return to this incredible cabin on the river. The house is much bigger than the photos suggest, the space was so comfortable and the kitchen was extremely well equipped for our love of cooking. The screened porch with bed swing was lovely- we spent a lot of time out there. The river is just a short walk down the hill and we enjoyed some good walks with our dog every day. Gorgeous view of the stars in a clear night (perfect for astral photography if you are a photographer!) love this place and well worth the price.

Great place to stay. Great host and the place have everything you need. This Airbnb has all sorts off appliances such as a fire place, bbq, beautiful saloon, bedrooms and kitchen. Washers driers. Coffee machines and coffee. Love this place 🫶.

Awesome stay! We really liked how private and peaceful the place was.. Lots of space inside and outside, also everything was very clean. Tony was always checking up and made sure if we needed anything he was available for help. Thank you!

Tony’s place was amazing. It had everything that we needed and then some. The only thing that I would say was missing and I’m being nit picky here, is a blender…😂
We loved our stay there though! The place was very peaceful. It is 30 mins away from Walmart and Food Lion so be mindful if you wanna cook or get food.
But really if you wanna escape the noise of the world, this is the place to be. Thank you for having us! I can’t wait to book another vacation with y’all again!

Beautiful place in serene and gorgeous surroundings! Close to the river. Easy to take long walks along the gravel road.
We disconnected from everything and enjoyed board games, silly hide and seek with the kids and even some dark night walks (although the clouds prevented us from seeing the stars).
The house itself is as advertised and nice and cozy. The bunk beds were a hit with the kids. The living room is spacious to hang out and relax in.
Definitely plan to be back in spring and fall next year

This place is absolutely beautiful! The house is perfect for a family stay, the trundle bed in the second bedroom was perfect for my toddler, and he loved all the toys that were already in the house! My absolute favorite part would have to be the porch though, the porch swing was a dream to sit on while listening to the rain. We will most definitely book again if we are back in the area!

This is a perfect escape from the city and easy driving distance to Luray and Shenandoah! The home is clean, spacious and pet friendly! Highly recommend

Positive:
Loved the location, very secluded and private as well as quiet! The fire pit was well maintained and accommodating to quite a few people if wanted! The swing was great, and the grill was ready to go! The kitchen had more than enough space and cookware to keep us making delicious meals! The washer and dryer was great for keeping clean clothes and were simple to use.
Negative:
The house was infested with stink bugs, we killed nearly 100 inside the house during our stay. There was no dresser or anything to place clothes, there was a closet but there was also a lot of stuff in the closets already so there wasn’t much space. The house had games, but most of them were missing the important pieces so we ended up buying some in town. The water pressure wasn’t the best, even for a well. Many of the light bulbs were blown through the house making it tough to see in certain places.

Beautiful retreat with a relaxing porch swing to enjoy nature. Lots of cooking supplies in the kitchen and comfort beds. Host communicated well. As the listing stated, the WiFi was spotty but we were able to get what we needed. Lots of games and activities available to play.
