The Home
The Parton Suite
Set on its own private floor, this one-bedroom suite offers a cozy retreat with slanted attic-style walls and a central ceiling height of 9 feet. Two double beds provide sleeping space for up to 4 guests, making it well-suited for friends traveling together. Access is via a set of steep stairs, adding to the secluded feel of the space. Soft carpeting and the unique angles of the room create a tucked-away atmosphere within the inn.
Shared Spaces & Setting
The Legacy Inn is an adults-only, shared-space property with seven suites in total. While your suite is private, you’ll share common areas such as the entryway, sitting room with fireplace, and outdoor spaces with other guests. The wrap-around porch and backyard offer places to sit and take in the surrounding mountain views, while the indoor gathering spaces provide a quiet setting to unwind.
Outdoor & Local Experience
Step outside to enjoy views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the porch or garden. Guests have access to bicycles on a first-come, first-served basis, making it easy to explore nearby downtown Luray or ride along the Luray Greenway beside Hawksbill Creek.
Kitchen & Dining
The suite includes a kitchen setup suitable for light meal preparation, with space to prepare simple dishes during your stay.
Comfort & Essentials
Heating, air conditioning, and portable fans are available to help maintain a comfortable indoor environment. The suite includes Wifi, a TV, and access to shared washer and dryer facilities within the building. Bed linens, clothing storage are provided for convenience.
Property Details
Free parking on premises is available for guests. The inn maintains its historic character with original woodwork and antique furnishings, and temperature control is supported by mini split systems throughout the property. Guests are asked to be mindful of shared areas and respectful of others during their stay.
Longer Stays
For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.
Whether you’re spending time exploring the surrounding valley or relaxing on the porch, this suite offers a quiet place to return to within a shared historic setting.
Guests can book a single suite, multiple rooms, or the entire Inn.
Please note: this is an adults only, shared-space property. While suites are private, common areas like the entryway, parlor, and outdoor spaces are shared with other guests, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to grab one early and enjoy the ride!
Tall guests, take note—mind your head near the sides of the room, but enjoy a spacious 9-foot ceiling in the center for full comfort.
Please note: The Inn is heated and cooled using mini split systems, which are energy-efficient and help us maintain comfort without altering the structure of our historic building. The mini split in the shared guest space is set to 70°F for your comfort. If the area feels too warm or too cool, you're welcome to turn off the unit using the remote; however, we kindly ask that you return it to 70°F or turn it back on when you leave the space. Due to the limitations of a historic property, we also recommend bringing a personal fan for added comfort during the warmer months.
