Tony was great, and the house was beautiful and so peaceful! I especially loved the extremely comfortable bed and the hot tub! The only 2 things that were troubling was the road to get up to the house so insane especially without a four wheeler but luckily my husband is a experienced driver and got us there with no issues and the other thing was I wish we could’ve found a lighter or something to light the fire pit because we bought wood but thought there would be something to light it with but anyways overall it was worth the money and I would go again but maybe with a different car! Haha

The property was excellent and the hosts were warm, professional, and very responsive. Cleanliness was good after a quick follow-up about the spa. It was a convenient base for exploring the area, though I’d have preferred being a bit closer to Shenandoah National Park. Overall, a comfortable and well-managed stay!

Hats off to this stay in new market. My wife and I had an amazing time. There are tons of things to do withing 25 minutes in every direction. The cabin is very peaceful and clean! The beds get 10 stars for being very comfortable! The host has went above and beyond to make this cabin very enjoyable! I highly recommend checking out The local chop house in Harrisonburg as well.

We had such a nice getaway at this cabin!! Me and my husband work hard and are always looking for a little escape from daily life- this is it! Communication with the host was awesome- Tony was checking in with us throughout the stay. The place was cute, updated, private, and had all the amenities we were looking for in a cabin getaway. We felt right at home. We hiked nearby at Yellow Cliff Overlook which started only 6 minutes from the cabin! We used the hot tub to unwind. The kitchen had everything we need as avid cookers. We left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed! My husband kept saying how nice it was to get away from the world. We will definitely be back!

Stayed at the cabin for 2.5 nights with my girlfriend, the cabin was perfect and had everything you need! Tony was super quick to respond if I had a question. The road to the cabin was a little rough but nothing too crazy and a spot the cleaners must of missed from the last guest. Other than that the cabin was great and I highly recommend staying at Tony’s cabin!

Tony’s cabin was small yet charming. My family and I enjoyed our stay and had fun in the hot tub and making s’mores! I would definitely recommend 4×4 in the winter due to the rough roads and many hills. There was salt and pepper but no other seasonings and a standard coffee maker was available. This house was nice for a few days but if more than 4 people it’s a little tight due to only one bathroom. Thanks Tony!

The cabin was great! The WiFi was fast, the hot tub was hot, the two buildings were clean and comfortable. The road getting there is pretty steep but most cars could handle it if it’s dry. In snow or rain maybe not so much. The cabin can definitely sleep 9 comfortably but don’t plan on 9 people sitting in the living room that’s more built for 4 or maybe 6 people. This was not a problem for us though because we spent so much time outside even in the freezing weather. We spent time around the fire and in the hot tub and around the grill. We visited the civil war museum, the National forest, and Harrisonburg. I can’t wait to come back.

Good space for a secluded weekend getaway. Hot tub was amazing, essential cookware in the kitchen, cool fire pit area. Rooms were on the smaller side but not too cramped. Living room was nice. Not too bad navigating to the house, but if you have AWD that would be a big help (a couple steep hills on gravel road). Drive to skyline drive wasn’t too bad (35 min). Overall we enjoyed our stay over the weekend . Thanks!

Nice little home in the woods. Host was very responsive and patient. Great for a little family getaway. The kitchen is very basically stocked, so bring any special pans you prefer and something to store leftovers if you cook your meals.
The location is up a mountain road, so plan to get in before dark. It is harder to know where you are going at night. The house number is well labeled and in a very beautiful spot in the trees. It was very quiet and peaceful. All in all a great little getaway!

We loved our stay! The cabins were beautifully decorated, well equipped, and the family loved having the two spaces. The beds were especially comfy. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space with the firepit, hot tub, grill, and views of the forest. Some reviews noted challenges with the road, we found it fine in our small sedan (at least during the summer when we were staying there). Tony was a great host!

My husband and I needed a last minute place to stay after another reservation had several issues. Tony quickly replied and guaranteed us his place was available and spotless, an important aspect as we had our 6 month old with us. We got there and were pleasantly surprised with how clean, beautiful, and organized everything was! The hot tub was amazing and the kitchen fully equipped. We would definitely stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin near Luray Caverns! The location was perfect—peaceful, private, and only a short drive to the caverns and local hiking spots. The cabin was clean, well-stocked, and had all the little touches that made us feel right at home. Had a good stay at Tony’s place. We wanted to check out the Shenandoah region and break up a long drive. It was a great pit stop on our way. Very private, but all wheel drive is a must. It was nice to have the separate guest house for extra space.

This cabin extended my expectations. The views are beautiful 360 very private without being too secluded, beautiful decorations, inside and out I only wish that I had a better warning about the actual roads in the neighborhood. It is not for the ill experience, driver or the non-confident driver once in the neighborhood you’re on a dirt road with massive potholes, sharp sharp curves in a very narrow, two Way Ln.this was worth every penny and I would do it again, but I would rent a truck with all wheel drive sitting high

Stayed here during a work trip. It was very nice and secluded. Beds were comfortable and the AC kept me ice box cold. I slept like a rock and I will definitely be staying here again.

What a beautiful retreat! Great for a weekend away from the city. We loved the large dining room table (great for complex board games) and the hot tub. While nearly all the space in the main house’s bedrooms was taken up by beds, the mattresses were insanely comfortable. And having the extra building with 2 beds/half bath was perfect to still offer some privacy among a group of friends. I will definitely be looking at the schedule to book another getaway here this summer.

I had a great stay at this cozy spot in Virginia. The place was clean, comfortable, and tucked away in the middle of the woods—perfect for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout the trip, which made everything super easy.
Do note that the property is located at the end of a rocky road, so the drive in can be a bit rough—especially if you’re in a low-clearance vehicle. Also, while the surroundings are beautiful, guests should be aware that the water has a noticeable smell, so plan accordingly.
Overall, it’s a relaxing retreat for anyone looking to unplug. I’d definitely recommend it to others who enjoy being close to nature, with just a few things to keep in mind.

My friends and I stayed at Tony’s over the weekend cause we needed to retreat and just stay in a quiet environment for a few days. It was exactly what we needed, quiet and peaceful. The instructions were clear and the manual sent before our trip helped to make our stay even more enjoyable. We had a bit of an issue during our stay cause the fridge wasn’t working but Tony was very responsive and tried providing solutions. I definitely recommend staying here!

Golden Woods was everything we hoped for and more! The cabin is cozy, beautifully designed, and tucked away in a peaceful part of the Shenandoah Valley. We loved relaxing in the outdoor hot tub and roasting s’mores around the fire pit in the evenings.
The main house was perfect for our family of 4 and super comfortable, and the separate cabin (ADU) was such a great bonus. Everything was clean and well-stocked, from the kitchen to the bathrooms.
This is the perfect place for a weekend escape! Highly recommend—can’t wait to come back!

Not a bad place to stay. Some landscaping and patio around the hot tub would go a long way. Nice kitchen and main cabin. Internet is no good and mini splits were difficult. Overall a clean place and comfortable compared to others.

Very cute, private home. The hot tub, fire place, and the grill were all very nice. We did think the bed in the building was more comfortable than the bigger bed in the house, so we chose to use it. The WiFi can be a little slow but it definitely gets the job done! We wouldn’t hesitate returning! We even had a very cute cat visitor.

The place was great! The location felt really remote, but was easy to get to things in the area. The fire pit area and hot tub were definitely the best part of our trip. Our only issue was that the wifi was really weak and so it was difficult to stream anything.
One thing for future guests: when getting to the place, if you don’t have an SUV, you’ll definitely have trouble getting up the hill, the road isn’t the best.

Family had a great time! Everything was clean and relaxing. Explaining how to use the heating and AC could have been more streamline if written instructions were left. Instead of downloading off of a website in an area with limited Wi-Fi. Written instructions are much more helpful than a website. Other than that, our stay was great!

I love how quiet the place was and not very far from other places. It was 30 minutes away from the ski resort I had gone to, and Shenandoah is only 15 minutes away. Unfortunately it had snowed during my trip so we weren’t able to do much, the house itself is nice and cozy. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The hot tub is very nice. Would stay here again if I ever have the chance!

It was very clean, and comfortable. The decor was lovely. Very well stocked kitchen. Love the fire pit and the hot tub. Lots of fun games and activities for the family. The scenery was beautiful. The Host was very helpful and friendly. Would stay again and would recommend.
Negative:
The road to get to the property is very scary. It is a one lane dirt Mountain Road. The Wi-Fi is definitely spotty. It does not work very well.

The home was absolutely beautiful and Tony was very helpful and responsive the entire stay. Very peaceful and private place to stay, while not being far from things to do in the area.

What a great place for a nice relaxing weekend. Hot tub was wonderful for relaxing and the fire pit was great. Wonderful location for spending an afternoon trying out the wineries nearby. Comfortable and cozy. Check in was easy and everything is as described. Would definitely stay with Tony again.

My husband and I needed a last minute place to stay after another reservation had several issues. Tony quickly replied and guaranteed us his place was available and spotless, an important aspect as we had our 6 month old with us. We got there and were pleasantly surprised with how clean, beautiful, and organized everything was! The hot tub was amazing and the kitchen fully equipped. We would definitely stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin near Luray Caverns! The location was perfect—peaceful, private, and only a short drive to the caverns and local hiking spots. The cabin was clean, well-stocked, and had all the little touches that made us feel right at home. Communication with the host was smooth and quick, which made everything easy from check-in to check-out. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in nature. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed with my kids. Visited Shenandoah, enjoyed the quiet, private. Adventurous drive in, as we did at night. During the day it was pretty simple. Strongly recommend if you’re looking to connect to nature & want a clean quiet place.

Had a good stay at Tony’s place. We wanted to check out the Shenandoah region and break up a long drive. It was a great pit stop on our way. Very private, but all wheel drive is a must. It was nice to have the separate guest house for extra space.

This cabin extended my expectations. The views are beautiful 360 very private without being too secluded, beautiful decorations, inside and out I only wish that I had a better warning about the actual roads in the neighborhood. It is not for the ill experience, driver or the non-confident driver once in the neighborhood you’re on a dirt road with massive potholes, sharp sharp curves in a very narrow, two Way Ln.this was worth every penny and I would do it again, but I would rent a truck with all wheel drive sitting high

Stayed here during a work trip. It was very nice and secluded. Beds were comfortable and the AC kept me ice box cold. I slept like a rock and I will definitely be staying here again.

What a beautiful retreat! Great for a weekend away from the city. We loved the large dining room table (great for complex board games) and the hot tub. While nearly all the space in the main house's bedrooms was taken up by beds, the mattresses were insanely comfortable. And having the extra building with 2 beds/half bath was perfect to still offer some privacy among a group of friends. I will definitely be looking at the schedule to book another getaway here this summer.

I had a great stay at this cozy spot in Virginia. The place was clean, comfortable, and tucked away in the middle of the woods—perfect for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout the trip, which made everything super easy.
Do note that the property is located at the end of a rocky road, so the drive in can be a bit rough—especially if you're in a low-clearance vehicle. Also, while the surroundings are beautiful, guests should be aware that the water has a noticeable smell, so plan accordingly.
Overall, it’s a relaxing retreat for anyone looking to unplug. I’d definitely recommend it to others who enjoy being close to nature, with just a few things to keep in mind.

My friends and I stayed at Tony’s over the weekend cause we needed to retreat and just stay in a quiet environment for a few days. It was exactly what we needed, quiet and peaceful. The instructions were clear and the manual sent before our trip helped to make our stay even more enjoyable. We had a bit of an issue during our stay cause the fridge wasn’t working but Tony was very responsive and tried providing solutions. I definitely recommend staying here!

Golden Woods was everything we hoped for and more! The cabin is cozy, beautifully designed, and tucked away in a peaceful part of the Shenandoah Valley. We loved relaxing in the outdoor hot tub and roasting s’mores around the fire pit in the evenings.
The main house was perfect for our family of 4 and super comfortable, and the separate cabin (ADU) was such a great bonus. Everything was clean and well-stocked, from the kitchen to the bathrooms.
This is the perfect place for a weekend escape! Highly recommend—can’t wait to come back!

Not a bad place to stay. Some landscaping and patio around the hot tub would go a long way. Nice kitchen and main cabin. Internet is no good and mini splits were difficult. Overall a clean place and comfortable compared to others.

Beautiful cabin! Brand new, very comfortable, with a great hot tub and fire pit. It's pretty isolated in the middle of the woods, so it's very quiet. Tony was a great host; he was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Great price; highly recommend.

Very cute, private home. The hot tub, fire place, and the grill were all very nice. We did think the bed in the building was more comfortable than the bigger bed in the house, so we chose to use it. The WiFi can be a little slow but it definitely gets the job done! We wouldn’t hesitate returning! We even had a very cute cat visitor.

The place was great! The location felt really remote, but was easy to get to things in the area. The fire pit area and hot tub were definitely the best part of our trip. Our only issue was that the wifi was really weak and so it was difficult to stream anything.
One thing for future guests: when getting to the place, if you don't have an SUV, you'll definitely have trouble getting up the hill, the road isn't the best.

Family had a great time! Everything was clean and relaxing. Explaining how to use the heating and AC could have been more streamline if written instructions were left. Instead of downloading off of a website in an area with limited Wi-Fi. Written instructions are much more helpful than a website. Other than that, our stay was great!

I love how quiet the place was and not very far from other places. It was 30 minutes away from the ski resort I had gone to, and Shenandoah is only 15 minutes away. Unfortunately it had snowed during my trip so we weren’t able to do much, the house itself is nice and cozy. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The hot tub is very nice. Would stay here again if I ever have the chance!

It was very clean, and comfortable. The decor was lovely. Very well stocked kitchen. Love the fire pit and the hot tub. Lots of fun games and activities for the family. The scenery was beautiful. The Host was very helpful and friendly. Would stay again and would recommend.
Negative:
The road to get to the property is very scary. It is a one lane dirt Mountain Road. The Wi-Fi is definitely spotty. It does not work very well.
