Tony's cabin was the perfect get away! My bf and I were looking for a cozy place specifically on a lake because we love fishing. This place turned out to be a hidden gem! We caught loads of fish off the small beaches dock. The steep path leading down to the lake is filled with gorgeous green and purple trees and a wooden bridge, but we preferred the short drive because its very rocky to walk with fishing gear and an excited dog. With google maps (and the help of our great hosts) finding your way around the lake and area is super easy! There is a food lion, sheetz, mcdonalds, dollar general all within 10 min. A big plus was how nice the locals were.

The cabin was very nice, but the photos are dated. There's been updated backsplash in the kitchen, less decor/wall hangings in general, a smaller living room sleeper-couch (which is broken), the wooden sofa-bed and coffee table sitting area is no longer in the basement, no seating/furniture in the loft area, and the ground/yard is now dirt and rocks with little grass. These things did not effect our stay, and we absolutely loved the cabin, but there was a noticeable difference than what was pictured. Some minor improvements could be: pool table re-felted/supplies replenished, a deep clean/dusting of the cabin, updated furniture (meaning things being broken), more decor, working icemaker.
Our only major issue to note was the freezer was not working during our stay. It was nearly cooler than the fridge, which was also not cooling properly. We had to throw out bulk steaks, salmon, beef and ice-cream because everything thawed and could not be ate. Tony was very responsive, although the issue wasn't resolved during our stay.

Our favorite part about the cabin was the large glass doors/windows and the huge deck that wrapped around the cabin. It was perfect for our dog to have free range of. There was conveniently already a long tie out cable attached to the bottom deck, and even doggie food/water bowls provided. Aside from the one issue, this airbnb was just what we needed and we will definitely be returning. The scenery is gorgeous, Tony was helpful, and responsive. This is the perfect cabin if your looking for a quick, easy get-away somewhere peaceful with your family/pets.

We enjoyed staying here for a few days, as we are gathering ideas to build our own log cabin. We appreciated the clear communication with our host, and the ease of checking in (lockbox code for key).

The property was just as you would expect a rustic cabin to be. We had everything we needed to cook and grill all of our meals there and we brought wood for both and indoor and outdoor fire. The long dining table, large sectional sofa, and extra beds (although we didn’t utilize) were all nice features.

The area was very quiet with the exception of a new construction down the road but it really wasn’t a big bother and was intermittent. We had fun biking on the hills all around the area. Holy moly! :)

Positive:
The location is perfect!
The beds were great.
Cute furnishings

Negative:
There were some issues in the bathroom that needed fixing.
It's not ideal parking.
I felt it was overpriced.
And 10 am check out is too early.

Great cabin stay. Excellent communication by Tony, clear instructions. Enjoyed a weekend of hiking and relaxing by the fire. For those with dogs, the deck is amazing & comes with a gate attached to gate off the stairs. Lots of bone chewing in the sunshine while we relaxed and read.

We enjoyed our stay at the Little Fawn cabin. It was clean and stocked with whatever essentials needed (dishes, pots and pans, towels, etc). The cabin was toasty warm and has a beautiful mountain range view (especially at sunrise). We were disappointed that the tv (as advertised) did not work and there were no efforts made on the owners behalf to correct the issue. Also, the hot tub needs some maintenance. All in all, it was a great little mountain escape and a bonus that our pups were able to join us!

Nice place which meets the description. If you want a quiet getaway, yet close to some interesting attractions (Cacapon State Park, downtown Berkeley Springs), you'll enjoy staying there.

This house is conveniently located just a few minutes drive from Downtown Berkeley Springs. It’s set in the woods, with a few surrounding neighbors, in a very quiet area. Although the house is not directly in the lake, it is a short walk away. I visited in the early spring and the scenery was beautiful. A particular highlight is Cacapon State Park, which is also just a few minutes drive from the house. The host, Tony, was very thoughtful in reaching out to make sure I arrived and had everything I needed. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would be glad to return again.

Nicely decorated lake house. Nice fire pit out back (no firewood provided). Deer walk through the back yard. Tony was very responsive with any questions that came up.

My wife, two kids and I, really liked staying at the Enchanted Cottage.

Positive:
The location is excellent. Close enough to walk to the coffee shop but far enough away to feel residential. We enjoyed watching the trains cross the river. The interior of the house is welcoming and homey.

Negative:
The house is showing its age on the outside in a few places.

Tony was a great host! He helped us as much as he can! He even let us check in earlier than usual but it was tough check in cause it was 8-9 pm when we arrived that area. Roads were dark and there was no connection. If we wanna come back there, it is gonna be morning time for sure! Other than that super cozy atmosphere, in the middle of the forest! Hot tub would be more cleaner but that was a great experience as well! We were 5 people and stayed at upstairs cause it was a way warmer than downstairs! Kitchen was perfect. Having a nice time by the forest, sound of river and fresh air! Thank you Tony!
