Exactly as advertised! We had a lovely stay and the house has nice amenities.

Tony’s place really has it all. It’s so close to the downtown area with shops and restaurants but far enough way from it all so Thayer you aren’t kept up by traffic noise. The cottage itself is so spacious! There’s a great little sunroom out front that offers great views of sunsets. There’s also a lovely fenced in back yard, great for pets, that overlooks the creek. I definitely recommend staying with Tony. Also, I am a solo, female traveler and felt very safe here.

Its a tiny cozy place to stay at if you like being out in the woods. It’s quiet and farther from the city. The host was excellent. Thanks Tony, we’ll be back .

The stay was amazing and a nice getaway from the city with ample land to have privacy and some really nice hikes writhing 30 mins of this location. Tony was a great host and was really responsive when ever I reached out. The cabin it’s self was spacious and beautiful.

This cabin was the perfect size for 4 adults, two toddlers, and two dogs. Like other reviews said, stairs are definitely steep for the little ones! The location was perfect for our impromptu weekend away. Cabin location is quaint and secluded, with beautiful views. We enjoyed a lot of time on the deck and by the fire pit. Cacapon State Park is close by with lots to do. The town of Berkeley Springs is also about 20 mins away and has some great restaurants and shops. We brought our dogs with us everywhere. Tony was an excellent host! Great communication. We would defintiely stay again.

Was an awesome place close to everything. Tony was awesome to deal with. Only downfall was the road is very small and the parking is tight. The house is made for 4 guests instead of 7 unless you use the pullout sofa and the pullout chair. Really is a 2 bedroom. My fault i did not read correctly. For that money i definitely would want 3 actual bedrooms. Overall was a great weekend trip.

Tony’s house was the perfect weekend escape for my husband, toddler daughter and I. Perfect distance from the city to feel far away but not a long drive. It is relaxing away in the mountains but still in a neighborhood with a few neighbors in view. Great hiking paths a short drive away and town accommodations not far. We will be back!

The house has everything one needs to settle in to explore & experience the history of Harpers Ferry

The house has everything one needs to settle in to explore & experience the history of Harpers Ferry. Everything you need to make yourself at home is provided and the space is very comfortable. Parking is tight but when you visit, you will notice that most every street is narrow and everyone can manage accordingly. The location of this home is perfect for walking just about everywhere you'd want to visit within the town of Harpers Ferry. Our three kids loved that they didn't have to get in & out of the car to go everywhere. Overall the experience was a good one! Tony was amazing at communicating as well as making local recommendations. We also recommend a history and ghost tour for the evening. Ghost Tours of Harpers Ferry provided a great tour of some of the most "haunted" buildings & areas around town while providing a wonderful history lesson of the area through storytelling.

Side note about visiting before May....The town itself was not fully open. Restaurants were slim and most things closed by 5pm. The places that were open were wonderful. Just plan ahead by checking what the restaurant schedules are as well all battlefield days/hours, day excursions such as the Potomac Eagle train, etc.

Tony was super amazing! The house was sooo charming, quiet, clean and in a perfect location to see the stars.

I could not have asked for a better place to have stayed. It was amazing, quiet and simply great!!

Tony's place is really cozy and just what we needed to escape and unwind. Close to several state forests and other hiking spots, close enough to Berkeley Springs to go out for a good meal. Easy to find and easy to check in and check out. We booked last minute and Tony was really accommodating and helpful.

My family and me really enjoyed our time in this cabin. It was nice to have my big family together and be as loud and free without worrying about disturbing neighbors. The location was perfect with very beautiful views. We loved everything about this getaway cabin. Will be booking again!

This little cabin is a wonderful escape from the noise and business of daily life. Perfect size for four people - and the beds are soooo comfortable! The hot tub was a treat during a cool night too. Easy walk to the Shenandoah River. And the sunrise from the front deck does not disappoint. Wish we could spend more time there - exploring the area and enjoying the peace and quiet. Tony is amazing with his communication and we felt very taken care of from reservation to check-out.
