We loved our stay here! The cabin was so nicely decorated and cozy. We even got to meet some horses and Bigfoot down the road. We would definitely stay here again.

This cabin is the perfect fall getaway! Tony is an excellent host and provides all the instructions that you need for a comfortable stay in the cabin. We made s’mores (thanks tony!), cooked meals, watched netflix, and admired the view of the woods with my family. Make sure you bring enough food/drinks if you plan on staying longer. We can’t wait to go back next time!
Our time in the cabin was lovely. The location is quiet, secluded, and cozy which is everything you want when visiting from a busy city. There are several close hikes near by in major national forests so the location was very central to what we wanted.
Nice place
Can't recommend this place enough! The fall foliage was at its peak while we were there and the nearby hiking was superb. We spent one relaxing evening around the campfire and another in the hot tub! We cooked two meals during our stay, and the kitchen was well-stocked with high-quality stuff (pots, pans, knives, utensils, etc). The living room is very cozy, and we were lucky to have a large-screen TV since the Phillies clinched their spot in the World Series while we were there ;)
Clean, very private, great place for a getaway. Be prepared to be in bfe and enjoy it!
Great location for being close to all the hikes, walks, history and restaurants in Harper's Ferry. The house is very comfortable, and well furnished and decorated, felt every bit of the cozy mountain home that it is. We really enjoyed the back deck and views, the homey touches, and the shower was perfectly hot with great water pressure after a day of hiking! Definitely a perfect stay for our little get away!
Clean, beautiful decor! Convenient to visit New River Gorge.
Very secluded! Clean and taken care of.
The place, the area, the food everything was great!
Booked this cabin for my parents and they loved it! It was a great chance for them to get away from crazy day to day life and enjoy the outdoors together
Super clean, well stocked, quiet, modern cabin with great service (thank you Tony for your hospitality!). Finding the place, driving in, and checking in were a breeze despite the cabin's very rural location.
Very fast WiFi (which made up for no cell phone reception in the area), great TV, hot tub is super clean and works well.
Tony is very communicative and helpful before and during our stay. It's great to have a host who is so responsive and reliable when staying in a remote cabin.
Don't be fooled by the modest appearance of this cabin on the outside. Upon walking in, we discovered a little paradise in the woods. The cabin is VERY CLEAN and has wooden ceiling, floor, and walls, and is truly romantic. Throughout the cabin there are many (artificial) plants. We love the life these plants bring to the cabin.
The living room is thoughtfully and beautifully refurbished with comfy sofas and cushions; on the shelf and right in front of the TV are fall-themed decorations such as foliage leaves. They clearly care about the cabin to rotate the decorations seasonably. While the location may be rustic, the cabin is full of modern creature comfort. Behind the sofa is cute wood burning furnace stove to provide warmth (they also have excellent A/C!).
The main bedroom is quite spacious with plenty of storage, drawers, and ingenuous designer touches such as the elegant hanger rod to the side (no need for a space consuming wardrobe!). Curtains block out light pretty well for sleeping. The queen bed is very comfortable. We slept well.
Walking through the main bedroom we found a cute little kid's bedroom with a bunker bed. This room is also thoughtfully decked out with warm (but not yellow!) lights, drawers, functional and modern furniture. Again here there's a rod with plenty of hangers on the wall. They work with smaller space quite well and efficiently. It's both modern and smart.
The dining room has autumn decors as well, and the dining table and chairs set is sleek, modern, and inviting (the white contrast well with the wood all around).
The bathroom is well stocked with a hair dryer (!), shampoo, shower gel, and toilet papers, a rarity among Air BnBs. There's a door in the bathroom that opens to the laundry and mechanics room. We love how clean the place is and how thoughtful they are in all the small touches. Plenty of face and bath towels! In front of the toilet and in front of the sink are comfy little rugs!
The kitchen is spacious and full of up-to-date appliances; everything looks and feels so new and clean. Plenty of trays for the oven, and there's even a brand new, complete BBQ tool kit (there's a grill on the porch). There's olive oil and simple condiments though we did bring our own.
The highlight is the hot tub. It felt new (and it is well maintained). It is all the way in the back of the house (watch out for potentially slippery slope). The hot tub faces the woods (there's a stream in the back though it's dry during this time). Very serene and romantic.
The road is paved all the way up to this cabin (which is directly across from Trout Pass Park, not sure what it is about but the entrance looks grand). Beyond this cabin it becomes dirt road. Very few cars ever come through. The whole place is just so quiet.
We came to climb the famous Chimney Rock and to take in the beautiful fall foliage. We had a great time.
such a cute gem of a house in mt jackson!!
Tony’s place was the perfect choice for the romantic fall getaway we needed! Clean and cozy, full of rustic charm and character, and secluded enough for peace and quiet, but close to the main roads, so it felt safe.
The hot tub was the cleanest I had ever used, there were plenty of nice Adirondack chairs on the big wrap-around deck and around the fire pit, the grill fired up easily and cooked evenly, and every appliance was in perfect working condition. There was coffee, sugar, oil, salt, pepper, all the cookware you would need, and we even found graham crackers and marshmallows in the cupboards! Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided, along with silky linens on the comfy beds, and 3 bath towels. The smart TV and washer & dryer were a huge bonus, and rare for Air b&bs, in our experience! Tony provides brand-new kayaks for use, which was a great plus! Just be sure to bring your own bungee cords to secure them to your roof racks.
Tony was super responsive and checked in on us daily to see if we needed anything. We had the most wonderful time, and look forward to staying there again in the future!
This indeed the coziest cabin in the woods you've been looking for. Up a windy dirty road, backing up to a 30k acre nature preserve (and with the smattering of a few neighbors), this cabin is such a quiet delightful retreat! The space is great- we were two people. While it can hold up to 6-7 people, unless you are spending all day out and only sleeping there, I would say the space may be a bit too cozy if everyone is an adult. That being said, the house provides so many space to gather, rest, read, relax. The screened in porch was superb, the back deck lovely, the outdoor fire pit awesome, and the hot tub luxurious. I think the real win for us was the indoor fireplace that helped us have relaxing nights by the fire with a good book and delicious beverage. The cabin is located about 25-30 minutes from Berkeley Springs but you start getting use to the drive pretty quickly (highly recommend the drive thru the woods to the Berkeley Springs Brewery!). The neighbors are very kind and friendly. The nearby Devil Nose trail was PERFECT (8 minute drive away) and provided the perfect 1.5 hour in and back hike with a breathtaking overlook. The overall experience was an absolute delight! Highly recommend, especially for relaxing, romantic weekends away. Please note: cell service is spotty and there is no wifi. But that's why I recommend a good book and bottle of scotch to keep you company!
We had an OUTSTANDING stay at Linden Chalet. It was our 30th anniversary and this was perfect for us. Hot tub, fireplace, and a beautiful fall view through the windows. We had an amazing hike to Devil's Nose. Berkeley Springs offered delicious food from Lot 12 Public House and Charlotte's Cafe. The small shops in town were a great way to pass a couple of hours. There was so much we didn't get to do in the area but this chalet offered everything we needed for a quiet and relaxed time.
Great!
Tony’s cabin is the perfect place for a long weekend in the mountains. It’s so cozy yet spacious. The beds were so comfortable. We enjoyed using the fire pit, grill, and fireplace! Only a 20 minute into Luray. We all agreed we would definitely stay here again. Thank you again!
Fantastic Family Getaway
We enjoyed a 3 night stay at this wonderful cabin. The home was the perfect size for the ten of us plus 2 pups. We loved everything about this home. We hope to stay here again.
Woodsy charm
Our stay was perfect! Felt like we were camping yet in the comfort of a cabin home that had everything we needed. Spent a couple nights out by the fire pit relaxing. Plenty to do within an hour…hiking, wineries, breweries, etc. Corinne was also a pleasure to work with. Would definitely come back!
