My sister and i spent 4 nights here in this home and i must say it felt just like home!! everything we needed was there and we didn’t have any problems! It is a private place, no one to bother you, and the hot tub is amazing!! I must say i am pretty glad i had an opportunity to stay here in this lovely home!

I appreciate Tony’s willingness to add a simple birthday message in the home for members of my family! He always responded quickly to any message sent to him. The home is definitely convenient to the beauty of the area and white water expeditions.
We absolutely loved staying here! If you are looking for somewhere private, peaceful, and relaxing, this is the place. It is off the beaten path, so be prepared to do some driving to eat out or find shopping, but that was not an issue for us. The cabin is lovely, and the views are incredible! We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here and hope we can come back again. Highly recommend!
The perfect relaxing getaway! We will definitely be back when we are in the area for some quiet time, loved this place!
We enjoyed the stay. Peaceful quiet, amenities as listed. Even this we didn’t use the hot tub it was clean and ready to go. Easy to find and my family had no complaints. Recommend for a quiet getaway.
Me and my wife stay at Tony's 3 night 3 days. It was beautiful. The Hot tub was amazing only problem is you need two people to take the hot tub cover off and on it was a little difficult to do it by myself. The place was nice, neat and clean. Definitely would be nice to get the house hvac repaired. Because the portable and the 2 window units made a lot of noise. The outside storm doors should have some kind of lock on them would have felt safer. The screen in porch. was great. That is where my wife mostly hanged out at LOL. Most overall, the place was not bad to stay.
Positive:
Beautiful scenery, beautiful cabin, great for stargazing, great for a quiet get away. Property manager was awesome and super nice!
Negative:
Not much around for food, delivery options are hard cause it's so out of the way
The house is so quiet and peaceful that I want to live there. Seating at the chairs outside and listening the sound of the birds singing was fantastic. Planning to go back again soon.
Perfect spot to get away for a few days.
Always a pleasure to stay with Tony. A++
Secluded cabin with beautiful and well kept grounds. Great for our family of four. A lot of space in the house to spread out and kids loved the ping pong table. Interior is spacious and well appointed with comfortable furniture. Host and owner are very responsive. Owner brought over bag of apples from the orchard and offered helpful insights about walking the property. Definitely recommend for a secluded cabin stay. Note last mile to property includes very steep road. We had no issues in late summer with an SUV without AWD/4WD.
The place was nice. Great view.
Overall the place was nice and the wall of windows is just peaceful to look through. We loved sitting in the screened in porch while drinking our morning coffee. The location was very quiet and there are myriad outdoor activities within an hour drive. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, somewhat secluded getaway - this place foots the bill. We utilized the sizable kitchen every night to make dinner and having a grill was nice too. The beds are a bit small for 2 adults.
We stayed here for my brother’s wedding and were very comfortable. The house is nicely decorated, and the layout makes it feel surprisingly spacious. I was working on a cake decorating project so I especially appreciated the generous kitchen counter and refrigerator space!
The hosts were very responsive before and during our stay. A few minor things I noticed at check-in were quickly addressed and did not negatively affect our stay.
My only criticism is that the cleaning could have been a little more thorough. White socks quickly became grey on the bottoms, a used towel was left behind a bedroom door, and there appeared to be some toiletries left by previous guests in the shower. Shower products were provided, which was thoughtful, although personally I’m not particularly comfortable sharing communal toiletries with past guests. Very small things, but a little more attention between guests would have made a difference.
The memory foam mattress wasn’t my personal preference, but man
Wonderful getaway for me and my future wifeGreat property also if you have furry pals along
This quiet, historical home is beautifully appointed and situated by a small pond. Excellent beds, exquisite decor, serene setting and a hot tub set under a charming pergola. The home is set in a quiet area on a dead end street. The pond is in front with a small road and railway beyond the trees. We also sat on the porch to watch the train and the dogs being walked. They were far enough away so as not to disturb, but if you love trains as I do, this was a treat—trains were not heard or felt within the house. The house is close to town as well as the NPS visitors center. I was so pleased that we chose this home for our Labor Day holiday.
Thank you for taking the time to review Old Stonehouse. I’m glad you enjoyed the quiet, historic setting, comfortable beds, and the hot tub under the pergola. It’s great the pond and porch views — and the train sightings — added to your stay without causing any disturbance. I appreciate you choosing Old Stonehouse for your Labor Day holiday.
The home was beautiful and we had a very peaceful stay. Our host Tony was extremely responsive and helpful whenever we needed anything.
