Blue Maple’s place was great for our family! Secluded but close to the lake, beach, and playground
Gorgeous home inside and out. Love the design here. Getting away to such a lovely place in the woods to WVA was so relaxing. Enjoyed seeing all the deer on the property watching the sunrise in the mornings. Great place for Jeepin on the forrestery roads close to the home.
Great

Great Labor Day weekend excursion, kayaked Potomac River (beautiful scenery/plus nice Smallies). Enjoyed few rounds of golf at The Woods! Ate at Hillbilly Heaven and Jimmy Joys log cabin. Stay was relaxing with plenty of propane for grilling on cool evenings plus lounging in hot tub with cold one and loved one! 100% will plan trip back..
This trip was for a 3rd wedding anniversary getaway for me and my husband. It was pretty much *exactly* what we were looking for to get away from the city for the long Labor Day weekend. The location was quiet and secluded; the drawback is that it is 20-30 min away from town (which wan't really an issue, just something I noticed). The drive is very simple and easy, just be careful of animals in the road leading up to the cabin at night. The cabin had a wonderful hot tub in *amazing* condition, super clean, strong jets, and close to the cabin with string lights to add ambiance. The towels and linens were clean; the place was tidy overall. No issues at all with the lockbox or check-in instructions. However, upon checking in, there was a very strong smell of plug-in air freshener. We had to take the one out in the kitchen right away. Other thing: the stairs leading up to the beds are steep! My dog and I were the only ones who braved it, but it turned out to be a funny moment. Thank you!
The house is beautiful ❤️ Definitely off the path with no one around which is so nice! We loved the ping pong table, the fire pits and hot tubs! Plenty of space for both families!
The one thing is if you want early check in or later check out you must do it far in advance, more than what is said in the communications.
Loved our stay in Ambridge. Great place, lots of room, quiet neighborhood. Close to hiking and rafting.
Great location. Plenty of room and deck space to enjoy the scenery. Quiet and comfortable.
Had a lovely peaceful 2-night stay at the cabin. Fully enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and large outdoor hammock. The grill was a plus! Very private and quiet. We loved hearing the crickets and the birds chirp. Tony is very accommodating and responsive— Which is appreciated! Looking forward to our next stay!
Quite little cottage, great for a quick nights stay.
Loved it
Positive:
I absolutely loved our stay! The room was so comfortable and clean. I also loved how easy the check in process was. Even though there were no staff directly on the property, I had no problem with texting if I had any questions . Always responded within a few minutes.
We will definitely be coming back in the future! Highly recommend.
Tony was so responsive. The area was so quiet. The fire pit was perfecy for evening fires. the local outside pool was perfect for an evening swimming. Not busy at all on the weekdays. Weekends you had plenty to look at. The gold course is right next to you. The outside porch allowed you to hangout, watch TV, and just hang in the Jacuzzi. The inside was very clean. And the main bed on first floor was soooko comfortable. Had a small issue, but Tony got it handled super quick on our time and scheduled. Never intrude, and super respectfully. The bathroom was spacious. plenty of guest passes for the pool. I took a morning run almost everyday and it was utopia. If you want somewhere quiet. This is really the spot. Thank you to our host for hosting us.
A perfect weekend getaway
This place is a mixed bag for me. Overall I don’t think it’s worth the value.
House is lovely. A little small for the value, but the deck views were awesome, but the deck itself wasn’t as big as I thought it would be. Note— you can’t kayak or canoe directly onsite. So bring your bungee cords or straps to tie the kayaks to your car roof. That is not clear from the listing. You can get to the river onsite, but only if you are pretty able bodied person. If you are a younger kid or older person then you won’t safely make it down. There are trees down on the path. Once you get to the river it’s rocky, and pretty shallow, but lovely. Again- mixed bag.
The location to different things was not correct it said “15-20min to the state park” it was 40minutes to that park. So some is that felt misleading.
Lastly there was just some minor maintenance things- the dishwasher is super loud, fridge shut off for a bit, key was really difficult. Nothing major just things to note. Beds/linens were good
Place or cozy and beautiful
What an amazing experience. Beautiful setting. Super secluded and romantic. Our host was the best I could hope for. My battery died on my car and they made sure that the cleaning crew was able to help me. I could not ask for a better host. Will definitely stay there again!
Great visit.
