What a great cabin – really well equipped and super private ‘at the end of the road’.
The cabin has everything you could need – super comfortable for up to six guests easy. The fire pit is in a covered area outside – well lit and very cosy. My stay in mid March was marked by a short snow and super cold spell – but warm and cosy inside with an excellent heating/cooling air system – plus a log stove which was great. Being in the mountain forest, there is no shortage of firewood.
Tony was super friendly, helpful and responsive to a couple of questions I had.
I’d suggest a 4wd to get there – the roads up are ok but it’s 10 miles up mountain roads. I had a 2wd hire car and in the snowy/freeze time I wasn’t confident to get out and about at all. Still – no hardship at all to be stuck in such a lovely cabin.
Make sure you go grocery shopping before you get to the cabin – the local Food Lion is great but it’s 17 wiggly miles / half hour away.

gorgeous escape to the mountains. the indoor fireplace is amazing. the entire house is well decorated and very cozy.

My family and I rented this beautiful home to host Thanksgiving, and it was amazing! It was exactly how the pictures looked, and the host was great and responsive. I will be booking here again! It definitely felt like home. 10/10 recommend to anyone considering.

Tony was a great host and promptly answered all of my questions! The house was in a great, peaceful location and perfect for our home base to go hiking. Our dogs really enjoyed the property and we had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely book again if we plan to be back in the area!

We had an incredible time and really enjoyed the land and amenities this place offered. It was secluded which is exactly what we were going for, however , we did forget a few things and there isn’t a grocery or liquor store nearby with tons of options (small spots that we did make do with) so highly recommended bringing everything you are planning to use in with you. The roads getting to the chalet are about 10 miles of gravel road – it was doable but one of our cars didn’t have 4 wheel drive and I can’t imagine doing that if there was any inclement weather so just something to be aware of! The hot tub, and covered fire pit were amazing, and we ventured into Wardensville and lost city and really loved those towns and what they had to offer!

we had a fabulous time even though our luggage was lost by the airline. the hottub is amazing. Tony is so kind responsive and accommodating and I would definitely stay here again. recommended 10/10

Great place to stay! We were here for the week for work and stayed at Tony’s place. Driveway is long and tight, but worth the drive. Thank you!!

It was a great place, quiet and peaceful. We went there for Hiking nearby spot, it was great place. We loved the outdoor fireplace under the shed. It felt great while it was raining. Definitely recommend the place.

me encantó. mi familia y yo la pasamos genial. pudimos llevar a nuestra mascota eso fue muy importante para nosotros. es un lugar muy bonito para relajarse y estar en contacto con la naturaleza. el lugar es genial había espacio para toda mi familia. el trampolín la fogata les encantó a mis niños. lo único malo fue que había polvo por todos lados. y los condimentos y café estaban caducados no pudimos usar cafetera porque no había filtros para el café. aunque no fue problema porque llevabamos todo de casa. volvería a ir la próxima vez.

This was a great place to stay and a very affordable price. Has plenty of space to entertain you and your family. It’s a very private area which makes for a very peaceful place. Planning on coming back again in the future. Would recommend
