We had a great stay at Little Fawn. Tony was an excellent communicator…he was quick to respond to questions and reached out periodically to check on us. It rained most of the time we were there, but when the sun finally came out we enjoyed playing cards on the deck. The kitchen was well stocked and beds were super comfy. Tony’s recommendations for activities, restaurants, etc. were spot on. We look forward to coming back!

House was great, the host was very helpful and had great communication.
My fiancée, our puppy, and I were looking for a scenic weekend getaway, and that’s exactly what we got here! With Cacapon State Park less than 10 minutes away, we went on a beautiful hike, stopped at a great local brewery/restaurant (Berkeley Springs Brewing Company), and then settled down back at the cabin. The communication with Tony was clear and thorough the whole way thru, and the house was clean and spacious; all-around a very pleasant experience!
Very Cozy stay !!!!!
Positive:
Everything was great. The property owner kept in touch to make sure everything was good and up to my satisfaction.
It was pretty clear that the cleaners were doing the bare minimum, lots of dust, dead bugs, broken crayons around, and in the sofa when I folded it down to sleep on it, kids toys under the couch, etc. The grill was also left in an obviously unclean state. Many of the pool cues were incomplete or damaged. The master bathroom has a pillowcase taped to the window, probably to cover some of the draft, and the shower knobs were not installed correctly as well, it was rather difficult to set the temperature. The sofa bed (as well as many of the upolstered chairs) was very deformed and quite uncomfortable to sleep on (I slept on it both nights). The fire pit was overflowing with ash, with no tools or instructions for how or where to empty it. Also, the directions (across from "Charlie's Den" #___) were unhelpful, nothing across the street was labelled in this way. Overall, for the price we paid, I expected a higher quality of service and my review reflects my expectations. Location and amenities otherwise met expectations.
We had a great experience. Perfect little getaway
We really enjoyed our stay in Berkeley Springs! The cabin was cozy, spacious and well-equipped. Tony was a great host - very helpful, easy to communicate with, and he made sure that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay.
everything good
We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The place was very clean - which I am very particular about. The front screened in porch and back porch were nice to have. The yard out back was big enough to allow our dog to play fetch and it had a peaceful view of the creek and marsh grasses.
This is the perfect place to stay if you want to immerse yourself in the history of Harpers Ferry.
The location of the cottage is ideal. Walking around Harper's Ferry is a magical experience, and this place provides fantastic access, including the benefit of parking! The cottage itself was charming and well-equipped. We had everything we needed for our family stay...even some legos to entertain the kiddos. Communication was quick and easy. We would recommend this place for a small group looking to stay in Harper's Ferry.
We enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean and close to everything Chincoteague has to offer. The host was quick to respond with any questions and very friendly.
good location for outdoors experience in shenandoah area.
Loved this little cottage found on very short notice to help escape a cold and windy night camping.
Positive:
It is such a cute little cottage! Loved the decor, felt very at home there, lots of light. Loved all the little touches. It was just what we needed.
Negative:
It was cold, of course that's what you get with older homes. The host was great with helping us access extra blankets and we were there on an exceptionally cold and windy night. Upstairs attic space was not very clean, crumbs on the table, some trash up there, otherwise it was very clean.
Unfortunate shirt stay
Our stay here was bitter sweet due to a power outage. We arrived and had a wonderful first night. Wine around the camp fire a lovely night. The next day high winds took out the power because of approaching storm. The resort restored in about an hour but we decided to leave anyway because of the uncertainty of storm.
Loved staying here! Super affordable & clean
Was a 11/10, the house is super clean and has everything you’ll need. The views are beautiful and the host Tony is super responsive and helpful! We brought our dog and had such a great night, it’s such a cute and well maintained home the stay was amazing! We totally recommend this or any other of Tony’s places as they have all been amazing thus far! We look forward to our next visit!
Tony's cabin was perfect for my family's weekend getaway. We had a great time staying in and playing ping pong, watching movies, watching the sunset from the back porch, and playing in the yard with our dog. Downtown Harpers Ferry is about a 20-25 minute drive away, and we drove out a couple times to explore some of the hiking trails and breweries. Tony is an extremely helpful and thoughtful host: he provided a detailed house manual in advance of our stay that answered any questions we might have, he checked in via text after our first night just to make sure everything was going smoothly, and he offered some great restaurant recommendations (the burgers at the Rabbit Hole were A+). This was pretty much my ideal weekend and I hope we can make another trip soon!
Beautiful wooded location...there is no view of the private lake/beach...about a 5 mile drive...great hilly roads for walking. House super pretty and clean and plenty of dishes and wine glasses. Amazing deck for wine or coffee. Only stayed a quick overnight!
A lovely welcoming getaway, clean and warm and nestled in the woods, cozy and comfortably modern. I loved the clean fragrance when I arrived, the view through the trees to the wisps of smoke rising from a cabin across the small hollow, and the peaceful neighborhood. Great wifi for working remotely, and since the Spring gave up a last blast of chilly weather the living room tv was perfect to stream one of the fireplace videos on Netflix while I sipped my coffee and curled up in the fleecy throw blanket to read, write, and relax… the comfort of a cabin retreat without the hassle or mess of a wood fire. Tony was communicative, responsive, friendly and helpful, and I also appreciated the contactless check-in. No problem finding the place using my car’s navigation during daylight but I did have to check the image on the listing to make sure I drove up to the correct home. Safe quiet neighborhood, lots of cool birds and free public Shenandoah River access including a public ramp and parking about 5 minutes away.
