Excellent stay for rest and relaxation!

This cabin was in such a great area! Perfect views, close to trails, restaurants and things to do! Tony gave such great recommendations, and was super responsive with anything we needed!

If you’re looking for a peaceful and private mountain getaway THIS IS THE PLACE! You just cannot beat the view, that was definitely the highlight of the trip! The cabin is nice and cozy and the view is spectacular. The large windows make it so enjoyable to watch the sunset and sunrise from inside of the cabin during cold winter days. We got to see dear every day so that was a bonus!!! Here are some things to keep in mind though:
- jacuzzi was nice and hot but it’s located behind the cabin, so not very convenient access to the front door.
- fire pit is located in the wooded area, which can be a bit hard to walk back and forth (my elderly mother in law wasn’t able to enjoy it).
- shower nozzles were tricky. Took a few tries to find the right temperature.
- pots and pans were a bit limited, keep that in mind if you’re feeding more than 2 people.

Besides that, Tony was an amazing host and very attentive and we will definitely be back! It was a trip to remember!

Great, peaceful, quiet, serene place in a great location. Great for a small group or family. Lots of things to do in the area.

Overall, the cabin was great. Just the house itself looks smaller than pictures. But the place doesn’t feel small for 6 people of us. Tony is an excellent host by providing us with really clear instructions, introduced us with a lot of amenities around, as well as check-in and checkout instruction. The play was very very clean! We stayed here one- night for Thanksgiving. Overall the experience was homey and good!

I really appreciate the hospitality and the amenities at the property. Very clean and the host Tony was very responsive. Hopefully I get a chance to stay again.

Good place to stay with your family and friends

Tony was an attentive and helpful host! My family and I had a lovely stay. We wish we had time to see more. The location is perfect for future exploration.

Tony is the epitome of what you want as a quintessential host. We had so much fun we extended our trip an extra day that he made even that last minute request 20 minutes before check out happen seamlessly.

If I'm being honest, the location, the hot tub, everything, the space was just 😮‍💨. It was one of the best places I've been to, and the host was working with me throughout the whole process and for that I will always be thankful. Overall, a amazing experience!

Cute, rustic home in a picturesque area, with a few quirks. The house has no central heat, requiring some creativity if you’re visiting in colder months, and the neighborhood doesn’t have sidewalks or close access to public spaces. But the views are amazing and it’s a great place for a quick getaway outside of DC!

Views for ever from the balcony, peaceful, and quiet. At night, sit in the hottub (no need for the jets) and watch Mother Nature's own Planetarium with silence.

Beautiful location! Loved the hot tub and how peaceful it was!

Tony was a great host!! The amenities were great; the chilly nights in the hot tub were definitely something we never knew we needed! Bring your own board games. If you want to go outside plan on going to State Parks. The area is mostly private property.

Beautiful stay

The house worked very well for my husband and I and our two adult children. Plenty of space to spread out, find a quiet spot, or gather to play a game. And convenient to the wildlife refuge for our birding expeditions.

Tony was very responsive, checking in with us to make sure everything was OK, which it was.

We'd recommend Creekside Retreat for anyone considering a visit to Chincoteague.

I enjoyed my visit and Tony made sure we got in ok and weee taken care of.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was quiet and peaceful, and the cabin is cozy. Only recommendation is to have some ice near the front steps, as they were slippery when we arrived. Also, a coat tree in the winter would be nice to have to hang up coats. It was a beautiful setting though!
