Tony was a great host - he was very responsive and helpful.
The cabin feels like you’re in the middle of the woods, which is what we wanted, while still being close enough to the main roads and stores.
Beautiful fire pit, lots of rooms and a good kitchen, a great bbq, and although we didn’t use the hot tub, it would have been perfect with colder weather. A great stay!
This place was perfect for a quick getaway. It was exactly as described and Tony went above and beyond with communication.
We absolutely loved our stay! Beautiful clean property; and not just “clean for a house in the woods” but clean! It felt very private, even with the tiny homes on the edge of the property. It was the perfect getaway without the kids, but we might even bring them next time 🙂
Beautiful view, amazing cabin, great hot tub. Very accommodating and responsive host. The view from the deck and the loft are worth it alone. Two AC units kept everything very cool during the hot days. Nice fire pit and always great finding a pet friendly spot. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to relax and recharge.
Stunning views from entire home. Peaceful! Loved cooking breakfast in the kitchen coffee on all levels was a cool touch even though there was only two of us so we only used the kitchen pot just to not dirty anything for no extra reason. If you are staying with extended family wow you would love this! there are so many spaces to have your own space, tv, coffee, outdoor space. Just absolutely beautiful. the tv in lowest level looked so amazing with details surrounding and background lighting. the bathroom were all my dream bathrooms! the showers were just amazing!!!
Tony was super responsive and his place was amazing. Such a peaceful view off of the deck and surrounding the hot tub. The lake was so close, walking distance, and was never too crowded. Mostly I appreciate him being doggy friendly that definitely made the trip for me!
The place looked just like the pictures, it was clean and cozy. Tony was extremely helpful and responsive. We will definitely be back!

The Happy Valley Retreat has become one of our favorite spots to relax. The house is clean and comfortable, and Tony is such a warm and welcoming host, who communicated well through the entire process. He was a wealth of suggestions in the area. The house is thoughfully laid out and the kitchen offered everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We can't wait to come back!
Very quiet and private place. The view from the screen porch is beautiful. The house is very comfortable. The master bed was very comfortable. I would love to come back. The little lake is about 5 miles and you need a pass after noon.

Great location; close to Harper’s Ferry, but felt far away. Nice neighborhood for walking. Lovely birdsong and fireflies. Relaxing hot tub. Genuine West Virginia feel/experience.

My husband and I, and our two daughters and their two best friends had a wonderful time at the cabin for five nights. Such a pleasant get away. Dinner on the grill, hot tub, great movies , stunningly, beautiful water, access to a gorgeous stream/ River where we could kayak, fish , swim all day. Fast internet inside the cabin. Extremely relaxing and a great way to recharge our batteries. The closest store is about 10 minutes down the road. There is no phone service outside the house. We stayed daily down at the creek, playing and relaxing, and we spent one rainy afternoon in the hot tub. Tony was a great host . very responsive. We did gas up the trucks because I think the closest gas station is probably 25 minutes out. Perfect getaway.
