Hot water in kitchen stopped working last day and 3 electric plugs didn’t work

Thank you for the 5-star review and for letting us know about the hot water and the outlets. I’m sorry those issues occurred on your last day. I’ve passed this to our maintenance team — a plumber will check the kitchen hot water and an electrician will inspect and repair the three outlets (including any GFCI tripped circuits). We appreciate the feedback and will make sure it’s fixed for future guests.

This cottage was a great little get away for me, my husband and our pup for a few days during the Spring. The home was well equipped, and very cozy. There was a major ant issue in one of the cabinets by the front door, which we mentioned to the owner, but we just left the cabinet closed for the few days we were there.We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, etc. We had asked in advance if firewood was provided, and were told no, so we brought our own...only to find out there were TONS of downed branches, etc. we could use for firewood.Would stay there again - loved that we could walk to enter some of the access points to the hiking trails, and had use of the community amenities, too! Only down point (other than the ants) was the lack of restaurants in the area without driving 30 minutes away.

I’m glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting and the easy access to nature. As you mentioned, the more secluded location is wonderful for a quiet escape, but it does mean restaurants and other conveniences are a bit farther away.

Beautiful home, close to the attractions and very quiet. Only downside was the Hot tub which was a major reason we rented it, cover was wore out allowing debris to get in and wouldn’t heat above 90 degrees and the controls for the jets one was missing and they would not function all the time. Communication with the host was excellent and speedy responses sent a maintenance worker out but was not able to solve the problem at the moment

100% would recommend a stay with Blue Maple! We stay a fair amount with VRBO properties and we have never really had any major issues, until it was 105 degrees in the summer and this listing notes specific parameters for the AC unit to be left at, which seemed to be variable at the discretion on the renter, however, it was actually set and not able to be changed by the renter. So we were in close communication with the rental agency when we needed it to be turned up/down. Tony & his team were great. When there was a concern with the hot tub function, one of his crew was sent out same day and he was a pleasure! The house had what we needed, but closets were packed chock full of someone else’s things, broken items etc, but overall our stay was good and mostly due to Blue Maples impeccable service!

We had a great stay overall! The property was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. The location was convenient, and the overall experience was very enjoyable.The only minor downside was the bed. It felt a little small for two people and wasn't the most comfortable, but it certainly wasn't a dealbreaker. We'd still happily stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Overall, I did thoroughly enjoy my stay. It was quiet and peaceful, I got the rest I needed. It was a great place to stop, breathe, and remember to enjoy nature. The neighbors kept to themselves and the area was beautiful

We had a wonderful family reunion here. The place was perfect--beautiful house in a beautiful setting with something for everyone. It was very clean and well-kept but did not make us nervous--it feels like a place where people have lived and a family can live. The kids loved the game room, everyone hung out upstairs, and the screened in porch was a favorite for morning coffee and games. If you are looking for a place for your family to feel like a family, this is a great place.

House was very clean and comfortable. It is in a very quiet and private area. It was nice to wind down and relax there after some busy days in the park. Tony was very proactive with his communications and made sure we had what we needed.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is located in a quiet, peaceful area of the island, making it the perfect place to relax. It was very spacious and had plenty of room for our family of four.
Our favorite part was the backyard—we loved spending our evenings around the fire pit eating smores and the screened-in porch was the perfect spot for dinner over looking the creek!

We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to come back again soon. Highly recommend!

It was a very nice long weekend, here! The perfect getaway we needed to recharge and restore from our hectic schedules. Great communication from Tony. A nice note to see how we're doing the day after we arrived.

The house and furnishings are great. Beds are comfortable with fresh linens. Nice open common space with everything you might need - modern kitchen, nice dining table, comfortable couch and chairs in the living room area with a well-sized-for-the-viewing-area large screen Smart TV facing the couch.

Having the available amenities at The Woods is a very nice plus! Indoor & outdoor pools, whirlpool, sauna, exercise room, massages...

We come to this area regularly for an easy/quick long weekend getaway from the DC area. We'll be checking this listing as our 1st choice when we start planning our next trip here!

Our stay was amazing! Tony and his team were super responsive, proactive, and consistently worked to ensure we were comfortable with the area and house guidelines. The Hot tub, fire pit, and closed deck were some of our favorite amenities. I would definitely recommend BUT BUT, did you also know that Tony has tons of other listings available in the area? I didn’t but check those out too - can’t wait to comeback in the Fall / Winter. Thanks for a great stay!

I came to Lost River for a quiet getaway/hiking, and I am beyond thrilled that I chose to stay here. It was a perfect central location to get to different hiking trails, access to the trout pond, close to the state park. The cabin was extremely clean and well supplied. And being able to enjoy the hot tub overlooking the woods felt like serenity. Tony was quick to respond, just amazing with communication. 10/10 will stay again.
