Our stay was awesome! Beautiful mountain woods all around, cozy interior and close to great things to do!
We had a wonderful time here! It really is in The Woods. Our host was very responsive and the home was very cozy
Thank you for the kind review. I'm glad Linden Chalet's woodland setting and cozy feel were a good fit, and I appreciate you noting my responsiveness. Hope to welcome you back.
This is a great place in a private neighbourhood away in the moutains. Everything is so good felt like we are in our own home. Well decorated and organised. But heads up restaurants are a bit far away and the roads for house is quite tough but overall the experience was fantastic. Loved it.
Overall a fine experience, but extremely over priced. Check in was easy and the location was lovely. The ladder going to the second floor may not be for everyone but it was great for us as a young group of friends. My biggest complaint is how money hungry the host is and the price of the experience compared to what you get. 680 bucks for 2 nights is silly considering the property itself. It’s a fun little cabin but don’t let the pictures fool you, it’s not that nice. The host is cheap and money hungry. For example, our check out Sunday was at 10 am, If we wanted to push that back it was 50 bucks just to get us to noon. 25/hr is a tall ask for such a hefty baseline price. The communication felt very corporate and AI generated. Lovely property, but not personable or customer oriented.
Calm and quiet

Location
Positive:
The location! The house itself was fabulous. Entering with a code and having a private room with bathroom. Comfortable and relaxing.
The stunning view from the back yard and walking to a beautiful stream sitting on a bench.
Negative:
Nothing comes to mind
We LOVED our stay in Luray. The house was spacious, beautiful, and clean. We grilled, used the kitchen to make dinner, sat by the fire pit for s'mores, and slept very well. We also got laundry done, which was really convenient. Would definitely stay again!!
A delightful boarding house atmosphere for exploring the region!!
We booked this because we needed some time away. Some time to reconnect not just with each other but with ourselves from a hectic couple of months. This little cabin absolutely did that! The porches provided a wonderful view of the surrounding area and a great spot to start and end our days. The provided out door games were also a great touch. The bean bag bucket toss is so much harder than we thought. My only nit picky gripe is that maybe the bathroom and kitchen could use a little updating. The shower head doesn’t move and the angle has you pressed up against the wall. That being said, everything was wonderful! Tony was/is super communicative and we would totally come back.
Had a great stay and really enjoyed the hot tub!
Tony is a great host, very friendly and easy to communicate. The whole house looks much nicer than the photos. Lots of space, clean, very quiet. We really enjoyed our two night stay and highly recommend this place!
Incredible opportunity for total peace in your own mountaintop aerie only a little more than an hour’s drive from Chevy Chase/DC. You can see both sunset and sunrise (rare in this part of the world)!
In this perfectly simple, immaculately clean, modern home you can choose your sunset/sunrise viewing experience from large-windowed rooms on comfortable couches, on a breezy porch with gas fire, or in Adirondack chairs by a wood-fire pit.
We heard a grey owl at dawn, went hiking all day, and then grilled and watched the sun set over purple mountains and the twinkling lights of Martinsburg farms.
The hosts offer crisp linens, comfortable beds, fresh atmosphere of natural materials, and share generously their art and comforts including all the kitchen equipment and appliances you could need for any group.
The layout is arranged for privacy for a couple or two couples and children.
We had a relaxing, magical time on an August weekend as a couple, and are thinking of returning.
Don’t know where to begin. We stayed in late summer. The area is gorgeous, there are neighbors, but not close enough that it doesn’t feel like you have your privacy. The roads and driveway were clearly marked. The interior of the cabin was spotless on arrival. They supply an abundance of linens. The kitchen was well stocked with usual staples. The cabin interior is gorgeous. Plenty of options for television, sitting, sleeping. A gorgeous, romantic master bath. The screened in back porch was excellent for dining, and I was impressed by the fact they screened under the floor. Great eye for detail. The woods resort was first class. My nine year old and I took up pickle ball for the first time. The gym is large, and well maintained. The outdoor pool is gorgeous. The cabin wasn’t in my initial budget, but after seeing the add, I decided to spend extra, and it was worth every penny. (And I do not know the owner, nor was I compensated for this review)
Great communication with the host. The cottage was clean and welcoming on arrival. Kitchen was well equipped. Wifi and internet were good. All features worked well. The site was private and quiet. It was a great weekend getaway.
Nice little cabin in the woods for a last minute weekend getaway.
Thank you for your kind review. I’m glad Wood Haven was a comfortable choice for your last-minute weekend getaway.
