Absolutely loved my stay at this home! I spent the weekend here with my boyfriend to relax and go hiking in Shenandoah and it was the perfect location for us. The home was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay like basic kitchen and bathroom needs. The indoor and outdoor fireplace was also a huge plus for me!

A wonderful place if you want to stay in nature! We saw many animals our first morning there. The listing does make the home seem more secluded than you’d think, but it was far away from the neighbors that it was not an issue for us. The recommendations on where to go from our host were so helpful since the towns are not directly next to one another. We slept well and left relaxed.

The home itself was absolutely beautiful—cozy, well-kept, and truly felt like a home away from home. I was very comfortable throughout my stay, and it had a warm, inviting atmosphere that made it easy to relax. The only downside for me was the location. While the views were decent, most attractions, restaurants, and stores were about a 25–30 minute drive away, which made getting around a bit less convenient than I would have liked. That said, I still had a wonderful overall experience and really enjoyed my stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful, comfortable place to unwind and don’t mind a bit of a drive, this home is a great choice.

This cabin is a very beautiful space that’s completely secluded and private. We loved spending a getaway weekend there and disconnecting. The cabin is very clean and the kitchen has everything you need. The views are so beautiful even from inside the house. It’s very calm and right on the river.

Tony’s place was GREAT! Very responsive, easy check in, perfect location and peaceful surroundings, the bedding was very clean and mattresses were comfy. The fact that we can travel with our dogs for hiking and have a hot tub to soak in at the end of the hike hit the nail on the head for our travels. I don’t know what some of the previous bad reviews were talking about, everything was exactly as described and we highly recommend this place with a 5 star review! There were no problems whatsoever and We had a blast! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Tony’s place with our two dogs! The cabin felt just like home and the surrounding area is beautiful. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The location is great for hiking, other outdoor activities, and we visited some amazing wineries and breweries! The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great as well. There were a few minor things not working but nothing that affected the quality of our stay. We would definitely love to stay again!

We loved our weekend here. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We went on a hike in shenandoah national park about 15min away we did a little fishing down the path near the site. The hot tub was sooo nice. Yes there were knats in the hot tub and in the home but to be expected in the wilderness. Everything was clean when we arrived. Would love to eventually come back. Thank you tony for the last minute request for late check out. We wanted to enjoy our morning coffee and breakfast before leaving. The view with the large window looking out to the river is so serene!

Had a great stay at the cabin! It was a great spot for our little girls weekend. One minor note is that it had a pretty strong chemical cleaner smell when we first arrived so we had to air things out a bit, but everything was great otherwise!

We loved the location of right on the river and within driving distance of over a dozen trailheads and outdoor attractions. The house itself was quite cozy and offered a wide variety of games, activities and books for every type of entertainment. Tony was proactive in his information and recommendations, and very responsive to our every text. I would absolutely recommend staying at the house to anyone.

Tony was an excellent host—very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The house was lovely, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed, especially in the kitchen. The family room was cozy and perfect for spending time together. We really enjoyed the outdoor setup too—the patio with grill and the fire area where we could sit and relax in the evenings. The location is fantastic, with many hiking trails nearby. The screened room was a highlight, offering beautiful sunrise views. We absolutely loved the house and would highly recommend it! We truly loved the house and the location, and we definitely plan to revisit!

We enjoyed our stay for a mini family reunion. Our dog Rascal especially loved the fenced backyard, low windows to view the scenery and places to explore on a walk. The kitchen was very well equipped. The house was clean and bed comfortable. We used the hot tub one evening which was a treat. Just enough space for 5 adults. I especially liked the master bathroom and lying in bed and looking at the rafters in the master bedroom.

Absolutely fabulous time. Very quiet and a nice place to rest relax and recoup. Waking up to deer and rabbits in the back yard painted a beautiful morning. Visiting Luray was definitely on the to do list and so glad we booked with Tony and stayed at his cottage.

I had great stay at Amber Woods. The place was clean and well appointed, and Tony was a communicative and kind host. I did feel the place was somewhat less secluded than the pictures suggested, though that is partially seasonal (when I was there the foliage had note come in). Overall a very nice stay though.

This cabin was absolutely beautiful and we had such an amazing time. It’s just like the pictures very comfortable and quiet. We did have a little trouble with a sticky lock box but, we received help quickly and were able to get inside. I would highly recommend staying here if you need a peaceful getaway and would love to again.
