The Home
Sleeping arrangements
The Eden Suite is located on the second floor of The Legacy Inn and features a queen-size bed set with soft linens. Antique furnishings, including a writing desk and a tufted armchair, bring a timeless feel to the space, while a soft green and cream palette reflects the natural surroundings. Two large windows overlook the backyard gardens and trees, filling the room with natural light. The suite includes a private en-suite bathroom.
Shared spaces and atmosphere
This adults-only property is designed for a quiet, restful stay. While your suite is private, the inn operates as a shared-space environment, where common areas such as the entryway, parlor, and outdoor spaces are enjoyed by all guests. A cozy sitting room with a fireplace offers a place to relax, and the shared setting creates opportunities to unwind while respecting each guest’s privacy and quiet hours.
Kitchen and essentials
Guests have access to a kitchen space equipped for preparing simple meals, along with a coffee maker for morning routines. The suite also includes clothing storage, bed linens, and access to a washer and dryer in the building.
Outdoor living
Step outside to take in views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. The wrap-around porch and backyard provide places to sit, read, or enjoy the fresh air. Outdoor furniture is available, and bicycles can be used on a first-come, first-served basis for rides through downtown Luray or along the nearby greenway.
Comfort and convenience
The property includes air conditioning, heating, and portable fans to help maintain comfort throughout your stay. WiFi and a TV are available, along with board games for quiet evenings indoors. Free parking on premises adds convenience for those arriving by car.
Historic setting
Original woodwork and antique details throughout the inn reflect its historic character, offering a stay that feels connected to its Shenandoah Valley surroundings.
Longer Stays
For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.
If you're interested in renting the entire Inn or hosting an event, please contact us directly for availability and details.
Please note: this is an adults only, shared-space property. While suites are private, common areas like the entryway, parlor, and outdoor spaces are shared with other guests, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to grab one early and enjoy the ride!
Please note: The Inn is heated and cooled using mini split systems, which are energy-efficient and help us maintain comfort without altering the structure of our historic building. The mini split in the shared guest space is set to 70°F for your comfort. If the area feels too warm or too cool, you're welcome to turn off the unit using the remote; however, we kindly ask that you return it to 70°F or turn it back on when you leave the space. Due to the limitations of a historic property, we also recommend bringing a personal fan for added comfort during the warmer months.
