We had a wonderful stay at Tony’s. The community is private and nestled in a very nice wooded yet clean and safe area. The house is spacious and very well laid out. The furniture, layout and utilities have been set up with a lot of care and detail. Enough and more room for four families, with Jack and Jill bathrooms in the upper levels and a full bath in the basement. Beautiful deck overlooking the greens, with birds chirping in the morning. Tony and team were highly responsive and attentive to our needs. Great hosts overall.
If there is anything I can point out for improvement, it would be that the bathrooms could use an upgrade. The shower heads, the water flow, time it took for the hot water, and the force of the water in the toilet when flushed made it somewhat hard to use.

Tucker’s Retreat was just the right size and layout for our family to spend a week in the woods, with a great deck and fire pit to enjoy the quiet surroundings. The beds were all very comfortable and the bathrooms were nice with an adequate supply of hot water. The internet and television worked well and there was a good collection of movies and books, though we didn’t have time to watch any of them! The kitchen had enough basic cookware and dishes to prepare and serve a meal; the appliances worked well and there was a nice grill on the deck.
The cabin is located very close to the town of Berkeley Springs which has many cute shops and eateries. We initially went on a Tuesday but found out that many of them are only open later in the week so check ahead before venturing in!
The proximity of the cabin (a five minute drive) to Cacapon State Park allowed us to enjoy its many biking and hiking trails almost daily. There is also a beach there for swimming and sunning, and daily programs for kids at the nature center. We were very impressed with its beauty and resources. Tony’s cabin allowed us to enjoy the park while still having the privacy and seclusion of a private home.

Such a cute cottage! The house has plenty of space and places to relax and spread out. Loved sitting in the sunrooms with a cup of coffee and just listening to the wildlife.

Well situated location just north of the more busy areas on the island - this house is quiet with nice yard for kids, dog or just grilling (note, a yard is not common). Large Kitchen with nice eat-in corner and screened front and back porches.

If you're looking to get away from the city, enjoy fresh air, nature, privacy, and a beautiful little lake, *and* be literally unable to answer that work call on your day off (HUGE perk) -- this place is great. My friends and I enjoyed a couple of nights playing games, sitting outside either by the fire or in the hot tub, a beautiful afternoon at the small lake beach nearby, and generally gathering to celebrate our friend's upcoming wedding. Also -- the lack of cell service didn't affect wifi so we enjoyed a ceremonial re-watching of Independence Day on the smart tv :) It was comfortable enough, and with a few of us bringing hammocks to sleep outside (super fun, particularly with an insect net!), the seven beds worked great.

My family and I were looking to get away for a long weekend to (mostly) relax.

First, I want to call out how well Tony communicated before, during and as we wrapped up our trip. He proactively answered most questions that might come up and responded quickly when we needed him.

The house was perfect. It’s set in the back of a large (by space, not the number of homes) private community, so it checked the box of a quiet place away from crowds and traffic. Everything we needed was on-hand, so we could easily prep and serve meals. The cabin’s open layout allowed everyone to get comfortable wherever they liked without feeling miles apart.

We really enjoyed the small beach and private lake within the community. It was clean and convenient.

Tony’s beautiful and spacious cabin was the perfect setting for a girls weekend away, celebrating our friend’s upcoming wedding. From the beginning, the communication was thoughtful and easy. And the house had everything we needed- and then some. I especially loved drinking coffee out on the beautiful back deck in the morning- and later, unwinding in the rustic pool and hot tub in the woods.

Wonderful cabin. The host is very organized and a very effective communicator. the house is in a gorgeous location and having the private lake to go to was so nice. I would definitely stay here again

A fantastic location, far (far!) away from the crowds. Peaceful and quiet, and we had the neighborhood beach on the Cacapon River all to ourselves each weekday.

The cabin itself promises a bit more than it delivers; it has a slightly run-down feel, with quirky lighting and torn screens. Not quite what we were expecting, but nothing that detracted significantly from the pleasure of our stay.

Beautifully renovated hidden gem. Great location for hiking (we did Devil's Nose+). Tony is an excellent communicator, super easy to reach. Home is very clean, beds are incredibly comfortable, modern kitchen. Get food on your way in or bring it with you!

Lovely home in quiet location. Sparkling clean and a joy to visit.

Lovely place. Super efficient host. Lake is across a street and down a hill, it appears to be shared by the entire community. I didn’t understand that from the description. Private threw me off, maybe semi private would be more accurate. We had it to ourselves each time we were down there though, despite it the 80 degree weather on a July weekend.

House itself was lovely. Pool table, deck, fire pit. All great things to let a couple of families chill for a weekend.

This cabin is absolutely perfect to get away and recharge in nature. It's roomy and accommodated our family of 6 adults perfectly. The upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms have recently been renovated and the large deck was perfect for our family to gather and enjoy meals. We also enjoyed walking to the beach to fish, kayak and swim. The view is breathtaking. The area offers several activities for the adventurers. Restaurants and stores were only roughly a 15 minute drive. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Tony was a great host and made sure to make us feel comfortable and welcome. He is always available via text and has great recommendations for the area. I would definitely recommend his cabin to anyone!

Such an amazing family house to enjoy! We went in the middle of the summer. Very quiet area with houses very spread out. The hot tub, firepit, outdoor screened in deck, and ping pong table kept us entertained for hours. With a close river about 5 minutes away (included with inner tubes and kayaks) we had a blast. Extremely nice accommodations, Tony was very prompt to respond immediately if needed.
Highly recommend!

About a 30 minute drive to anything really which can be inconvenient. The lake is very nice, cool, but very deep. A beautiful little vacation spot.
