My friend and I met up for a couple of days at Blue Owl Retreat. I was a bit concerned when I had to submit my information into a separate online form in order to receive the house instructions, and they were emailed to me in a separate, many-pages-long document. But the house was great! Clean, comfortable, in a lovely setting. We had a little problem with the internet upon arrival which was resolved by the next morning. Tony was always responsive and helped make sure the wifi got reset in time for us to use the streaming TV to relax after our gorgeous hike to Devil's Nose. The house location was beautiful! Forests, deer, lots of wildlife. Easy drive to the charming town of Berkeley Springs. So lovely. The hot tub and fire pit areas all looked to be in good working order, though it was too hot for us to use them while were there, unfortunately. The beds were comfortable. The house felt cozy from the first moment, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would happily return!
Tony’s place was perfect for our needs. Plenty of sleeping space, clean bathrooms and great kitchen appliances to cook meals. Grill worked great as well. AC was top notch given the 90+ degree temps outside. Highly recommended.
We had such a fun and relaxing weekend here! Love that it’s only 20 minutes from shopping & good eats! Loved the hot tub.
Very peaceful neighborhood and away from all the congestion of the Island yet close enough to everything to enjoy all activities!

My wife, our son, and our four-legged companion, Choco, had a wonderful one-week stay. Tony was an exceptional host—attentive, responsive, and welcoming.
The cabin was clean, comfortable, and set in a peaceful location with majestic views. My family has returned to the Shenandoah region for many years, and Tony and the cabin made this visit our best stay yet.
We are also grateful to Chris, the owner, who gave us a tour of the fruit orchard and the trails he built himself. We are already planning to return and stay longer next time.

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely come back! The home was perfect for our group of 5 adults, 2 kids, and a dog. The location was ideal and the accommodations were comfortable, spacious, and family friendly.
The hosts were great with communication and responded quickly to the few minor issues that came up during our stay. The house was also well stocked with thoughtful touches like coffee, cooking essentials, spray oil, seasonings, and other supplies that made settling in easy.
The basement game room was a huge hit with everyone and such a fun bonus, while the upstairs playroom kept the kids entertained for hours. It was clear that families were thoughtfully considered when putting this home together.
Overall, we had an amazing experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with family or a larger group.

Great location and a very cool house. The only VERY minor thing is the main living area is dark with no overhead lighting but that’s just a nitpick. The place is great and would definitely go back again
My stay was 4 nights for work so not much time was spent in the area or inside the house.
It was clean, mostly quiet and felt private. Has a private parking area the can accommodate a full sized pickup truck plus additional vehicles if needed. The location sits above the main road through town so there can be some road noise from larger vehicles passing by from time to time.
Nice place, solid value if you’re looking for a place to stay.

Quiet comfortable set back properly. Parking was convenient. Stayed in the Cash and Carter room. Pleasant space.

Quiet. Clean home. Multiple dining areas in the home. Spacious kitchen. Well stocked kitchen. Spacious bathrooms. Household items like paper towels and trash bags provided.
Negative:
Fire extinguisher in kitchen is expired. Twin beds were very stiff and uncomfortable, quality mattress toppers could help. Very bright early in the morning because of sky lights.
We were disappointed with the start of our stay. We arrived about two hours after the scheduled check-in time, but the house had still not been cleaned or prepared for guests. It was clear that the property wasn't ready, which made for a poor first impression and delayed our ability to settle in and enjoy our stay.
That said, the host was responsive once we reached out and worked to resolve the situation. The house was cleaned and ready by around 8:00 p.m., and we appreciated the host's communication and efforts to address the issues.
The home itself was tastefully decorated, with each room thoughtfully designed. The beds were comfortable, and the location was convenient, being close to the center of town, which made it easy to get around.
