We had an amazing stay at this cabin! It was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. We especially loved spending time by the fire pit and using the hot tub.

The host was friendly, responsive, and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. We truly felt at home during our stay.

We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quiet getaway, and we would love to come back in the future. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The Airbnb was exactly what we wanted! Tony was responsive, accommodating, and went the extra mile to make our trip more enjoyable. The property is as described; it is private and gorgeous with pretty views.

We had a wonderful stay with our infant daughter at the Modern Mountain retreat, hosted by Tony and his team. The house is absolutely beautiful and is set among the woods, which adds to the enchantment. The house is exactly as pictured. Other reviewers note that you need to bring all supplies with you - the allure of this house is how remote it is, allowing one to unplug. As a result, it is necessary to bring all food you might need for your stay. The chefs kitchen means it is a treat to prepare meals for your family.

There is a cute provisions store at Lost River Inn about a 15 min drive away, but there would not be enough here to create a meal. I will note that on Fridays and Saturdays the team at the Inn host a cocktail and bites night which I highly recommend! Hive and Harvest is a 5 minute drive for a nice coffee. We enjoyed hiking at Lost River State Park, Swimming at the Pool in Moorefield, paddling in the man made beach at Trout Pond, and exploring the West Virginia landscape

We had an amazing stay at Cedar Owl Lodge! The cabin was beautiful, very clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing trip. It was peaceful, cozy, and the perfect place to spend quality time with family. My parents absolutely loved it, and we all had a wonderful experience.

Tony was an excellent host—friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Check-in and check-out were both super easy.

We made some great memories here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We’d love to come back in the future!

If we could give it 100 stars we would! Came here for our daughter’s 18th birthday and we left with amazing memories and adventures. The hot tub was perfection, the views were spectacular and the home had everything we needed and wanted. Our dog felt cozy and relaxed too. Surroundings were gorgeous and we are already planning a return visit. Seclusion and beauty in a gorgeous home. We had a tubing day at Harper’s ferry in VA and a shopping day at Valley Mall in MD- both days the kids were anxiously asking to go back to the Airbnb because it was so amazing. The host is responsive and courteous, and made you feel like family.

This was our first stay in The Woods, and the property was very nice. We really liked that each bedroom had it's own bathroom. We also enjoyed the Jacuzzi and view. Definitely a nice place to stay.
