Remote and quiet. No "yard" to walk around. Trees were down on the paths, could not walk to the water. No telescope was present. Could not enjoy the property outside, other than the deck & firepit (downhill).
Warning... turn left into the property just before the "keep right" sign.
Not a terrible trip, just not what was expected.

Awesome place. Private and lots of space. Big porch where you can enjoy your morning coffee.
Only thing that made us little bit scared was last day we took our dog for a walk down the road. We saw someone living out in the woods. It's not pleasant to see a person in the middle of nowhere having an office chair, table, mattress next to the road.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, spent days barbecuing, using sauna, exploring around.

Very peaceful, clean an quiet. The host is so nice. You are on a one lane road one entrance road. Be mindful of that, to enter from Lurary going back to front Royal
Had to find a family and pet friendly place short notice and this place accommodated those needs well. It has a more camp feel and vibe than house. Some deferred maintenance. Good size for our family of 5. Location is nice, surrounded by trees, and fairly private. Didn’t have enough time to explore what other activities are available to do but seems like a great destination for a more all-inclusive experience.
It's mostly pretty nice. We couldn't use the hot tub because it had too much chemicals. The bed was as horrible as the other reviews but I took an air mattress and we were fine. It's very peaceful. The view was wonderful. The landscaping is beautiful.
Great Modern Cozy Place! Clean and thoughtful design throughout. Perfect for someone looking for something a little off the beaten path, without compromising on comfort or in house amenities! Tony was very responsive throughout our stay. No big stores (or cell service) nearby so bring your own food. Definitely worth the trip!!
Home was well equipped with Al things needed. We had asked about coffee filters and learned that a Keurig was available. Plenty of soft towels and we enjoyed the outside deck, seeing a couple of deer too. Quiet area and walked to many places.
It was a beautiful home. Beautiful location. It had tons of skillets to cook in but otherwise only one big stock pot and a very tiny saucepan could use some more pots and also bigger bowls for food. The only bowls that was there was a little metal one and a cereal bowl. It would also be nice if the air conditioner was just a little bit cooler. We had one window unit in the one bedroom and a portable unit and the main central air just was not keeping it cool and it wasn't extremely hot day. It was in the high 70s. Other than that it was a beautiful home. Very unique. Loved it
My daughter and I went here for a mother and daughter get away. This gem is nestled in the woods and is very peaceful and relaxing!! Everything was immaculate and the decor was absolutely amazing and the best I have seen in any air b n b I have stayed in!
We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cabin! It was peaceful, cozy, and incredibly relaxing. Everything was perfect, and we truly enjoyed every moment. We left feeling completely refreshed and so happy with our experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We had a very relaxing stay. A few quirks of the place (ac units can both be on low, but not higher without tripping the breaker, bathroom is downstairs so tricky at night, front right burner gets really hot when you turn it to low or turn it off, before cooling). Neighbors are super friendly.
Tony’s place was even better in person! It was so cozy and had the most beautiful atmosphere for our entire stay. Being able to relax in the hot tub, spend time by the fire pit and even grill out on the grill, was everything we expected! Next time, we’ll be sure to use the water amenities to go canoeing!! Thanks so much, Tony! We’ll definitely be back!
Beautiful experience!! Loved the cabin, very cozy and great place to rest after hiking all the gorgeous trails in the surrounding area. Lost and Found pizza was delicious! If you are into local coffee shops, Hive and Harvest was adorable with great unique flavors of coffee! The lake was very clear, clean, and fun to swim in. The only thing I will warn is that the beach access is not private, it is a public recreation center with lots of children. Regardless of this, it was still an amazing place to swim and hike. The hot tub was definitely the cherry on top, so peaceful to soak and enjoy the nature.
This was a great stay! We were 7 people there for a birthday weekend, and it was perfect. Tony was communicative and friendly, the space was exactly or even better than expected, and the location is great. We would definitely choose to come back!

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are in the area. The house is cute and the rooms are thoughtfully decorated and very well maintained. Loved my room. Overall, very cute BNB vibe right next to a beautiful walking trail less than 5 min walk to town. Plenty of parking. Highly recommended.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Tony's home near Shepherdstown. The location is spectacular and the surroundings peaceful. We were shocked to be able to use the large deck throughout the day with nary a mosquito in sight. Truly a perfect place for a retreat whether with family or friends. We will be back!
