What a great find! The property and dome are absolutely beautiful. Very private and peaceful retreat. Tony was very helpful and responsive. Everything looked just like the photos!

This place was genuinely such a great find, great price, great location, and great communication with our host Tony ! The place was decorated so cute and being able to relax in a hot tub after a long day was a perfect touch. I would recommend this stay to anyone !!
The view out the windows or from the back balcony of this house is just stunning. Plenty of beds and bedrooms for a larger group though be aware the loft is open, so noise from the main living space can disturb whoever sleeps there. Kitchen is well-stocked and the nice, long dining table can seat everyone for meals together. Overall, a great space for a large group.

The house is beautiful. Everything was clean. Tony the host made check in smooth and simple and was easy to communicate with. He made sure we had everything we needed. The hot tub was nice and the scenery beautiful. The neighbors were a little closer than I expected but I never asked and it wasnt a problem, There was plenty of space between properties. Overall it was a wonderful trip and I would definitely stay here again.
Great place to escape to in the mountains! Felt just like home for my wife and I, we came for our 7 year anniversary and had a great time. Peaceful and relaxing to say the least. Tony was very helpful and always asking how he might be able to make our stay any better. Overall wonderful place and somewhere I would definitely stay again in the future.
Tony's place was just what we were looking for. It was a wonderful place to sit back and relax. Very clean and well maintained. We will be coming back in the future.

Great stay, good communication, and beautiful views
My husband and I stayed here for our 20th anniversary, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was peaceful, quiet, and very private—truly in the middle of nowhere, which made it the perfect place to unplug and relax.
The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There is Wi-Fi available if you need to get some work done or stay in touch with family and friends, but we really enjoyed having the opportunity to disconnect.
One thing to keep in mind is that shops and restaurants are about 30 minutes away, so plan accordingly. We weren’t able to enjoy the lake because of the rain, but there was a kayak down by the lake and tubes available at the cabin. However, we loved seeing the deer roam around.
Everything was just as described by the host, and we really enjoyed our time away. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway, some privacy, and a chance to unwind and enjoy some quality time together.

It was sooooo quiet. That man slept until 10am. NEVER has he been so relaxed. We could have used another day.
Negative:
The empty house next to the cabin. Its an eye sore, especially since you see it before you see the cabin at the rise of the driveway.
This place was a great way to plug into nature. The river was beautiful and the woodpeckers were all doing their thing. The cabin is fabulous, from the nap in the loft to a very nicely furnished game room in the basement. Great fire pit area, grill and kitchen and other amenities were excellent. The community park is awesome but is a 5 min drive from the cabin - well worth it, though. There were neighbors on one side, but didn't take away from the feeling of being surrounded by nature.

This home is perfectly set up for families! We all had a lot of fun. Beds were comfortable, kitchen supplied and many things to do! The back deck view is surreal!!! Perfect spot for morning coffee to watch the sunrise and take it all in.
We unfortunately had some issues with the mold smell in the master bathroom & a few house blips with bed sheets that hand’t been changed.
If you’re sensitive, heed warning. I struggled during our stay even with air purifiers. Made my MCAS flare big time. Tony was great & responsive.
We adventured to the Caverns, Shenandoah & Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. The countryside is beautiful!!
We loved our stay here! It was very peaceful, quiet and remote. The perfect place to disconnect. The house was beautiful inside and out. Hot tub is amazing. The views alone are worth staying here. Tony was an excellent host and very responsive. We definitely plan to return in the future.

The Wily Squirrel Lodge was a beautiful home!!!! So peaceful with nature!! Quiet neighborhood!! Tony was very responsive to me.. we had a power outage due to storms and he responded within minutes, power came back on and we finished our stay. This place is very serene and calming. I can’t wait to return with my husband for him to experience this place and location!!
