Stayed at Wildwood Chalet

The Wildwood Chalet was a good place for me and the family to stay while exploring Harpers Ferry. 15-20 minutes from grocery stores and Harpers Ferry and Charlestown made it a great base location. Plenty of bedrooms for us to spread out. Highlight was the hot tub and grill which all worked great. No sofa bed and no washer dryer were some minuses. It's in a highly wooded area, there were bugs and ants which became an annoyance, but not unexpected. The host was very responsive and checked in on us a lot. Overall, had plenty of space for us all and enabled us to bond and spend time together after our adventures. Thanks!

We had a wonderful stay at the Yurt, the listing was just as described. The host was very responsive and proactive. The space was beautiful, clean, unique, and peaceful. It had everything we needed to make meals and plenty of linens. As we continue our travels we will absolutely be looking for more stays like this and would be keen than happy to stay here again.

My family and I had a great time. The spot was so peaceful. The fire pit was great. We went to Shenandoah and Luray. Easy driving distance to both. The cabin was clean, well-equipped, and quiet. Loved not having the tv. We played lots of games and worked on puzzles. Really great place!

Stayed at Ellery Cottage

Very nice location for an enjoyable stay! We loved all the space it has for kids and my little dog. Everything was great... the beds were very comfy and nice!! Tony is very attentive and pleasant! Definitely recommend staying here!! Oh, you gotta check out Cooter's Restaurant and Museum not far from the house!! It was nice to look at all the cars from The Dukes of Hazard and we really enjoyed the delicious food while we were there!!

Beautiful place, quiet with a couple places to run around and look at. The home itself was very clean, beds are great.

Stayed at Wooded Bliss

This was a nice cabin! Loved all the windows. The kitchen had EVERYTHING you could need to cook meals, just bring your ingredients and oil. There was a grill with an extra propane tank, a full kit of grilling accessories, lots of firewood for the firepit. Bring your own pillows if you prefer thinner ones (theirs are very thick). We enjoyed the provided table games. It was always so quiet and peaceful, and we experienced no mosquitoes which was a huge plus! It was simple to request pool/sport center passes, and we enjoyed both of the outdoor pools during our visit. The check in ladies at the pools were so kind and informative. The Woods Food Truck had amazing hamburgers, chicken tenders, and onion rings. The Fairy Trail in the community was a fun kid friendly trail. I appreciated the team checking in on us via text to make sure we were comfortable.

We had an excellent stay! The place was roomy, comfortable and clean. Beds were great! The fire pit was nice, as well as the hot tub. It is in a quiet, forested location away from the busier tourist area. We really enjoyed an afternoon at nearby Charles Town, which has a cute downtown area.

We enjoyed our time here. Hot tub was a hit! Place was clean and well-stocked. Hosts were very quick to respond.

Stayed at Creekview

My family had a great stay at Tony’s place. It was clean, roomy, and there was plenty to do, including things to keep our little kids entertained. There was lots of room, and having a full bathroom on each level was a huge perk. We had fun with the games and puzzles available and enjoyed the hammock, hot tub, fire pit, and exploring the small creek down the hill from the cabin. Morning coffee on the deck was a wonderful way to start each day! Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed at River View Cabin

This place is wonderful! We were there as 8 in our family ages 9-69. There is lots to do for any age! Safe, comfortable, beautiful and peaceful. All beds great, 2 large bathrooms. The kitchen is complete and the outdoor grill is great. Many venues inside and outside to meet any mood or combination of who wants to do what and where. We very much enjoyed s’mores around the fire pit at night and loved the beautiful night sky after the Canadian fire smoke cleared away. There was evidently a wind storm that took down some trees just prior to our arrival, which made the trail to the river more of an adventure but didn’t prevent anything we wanted to enjoy. The best part for the kids, young and old is the river, there are many kayaks and inflatables and the river is extremely easy to navigate, both upstream and downstream. And bonus we saw the bald eagle multiple times. We highly recommend the space! The view is fabulous! Enjoy!

Words can't even describe the feeling that you get when you stay at the Aurora dome! Leave the noise behind and stay in the heart of nature. This place is a 10 out of 10! Tony is a great communicative host. No issues, would definitely stay there again!

Stayed at South Fork Retreat

A lovely home, spotless, comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and a fabulous screened in porch complete with a porch swing. We had a great stay. The only slight downside was that we could hear traffic noise from 340 across the river, though this was offset by the happy noise of the Bluebird family nesting in the martin house. The canoe wasn't easily usable, but the nearby river outfitters were great for a paddle down the river and there is good hiking nearby in the GW National Forest. Bring everything you need to cook, including salt and pepper. Also bring a copy of the house manual for extra info, a printed copy wasn't provided.

Positive: Schönster Aufenthalt unseres Roadtrips! Absolut süßes Häuschen mit Gemeinschaftsküche. Wasser, Kaffee, Snacks, Eiswürfel, alles da. Total schönes Apartment mit Wahnsinns- Badezimmer. Tolle Veranda mit Schaukel, Schaukelstühlen. Wie aus einem Nicholas Sparks -Film!! Nicht weit zum Eingang des Shenandoah National Park. Wären super gerne noch eine Nacht geblieben, leider ausgebucht.... Negative: Nichts

Stayed at Cash & Carter Suite

This was a fantastic stay!! The property itself is tucked around the corner from the Main Street giving you a feeling privacy, and just right behind it is a trail that follows the river. We enjoyed our walks to the local restaurants and our short drives to the hikes around Shenandoah. The room was clean and cozy, with a very comfy bed. A perfect room for unwinding after long hiking days. The host was also just as great! Very helpful and responsive, we were even able to add on an extra day to our stay last minute. Thank you Tony! I definitely recommend this spot (: !

Stayed at The Kennedy Suite

Positive: Amazing stay and the perfect little place for our weekend trip. The staff went above and beyond setting up birthday decor in the room for my partners birthday. Negative: A little bit of noise in the halls and the soup dispenser was leaking a bit in the shower but the good really outweighs any of that.

We stayed 5 days and had a great stay. Very clean and stocked kitchen. We did have internet outage after a storm, however Tony was very responsive to work on repair. Kept us informed. Would stay again!

Stayed at Lookout Lodge

We rented Lookout Lodge to enjoy a visit with family from out of town. The beds/pillows were very comfortable. Towels and linens were clean and fresh. We ate most meals there and found the kitchen very well equipped. We enjoyed using the sports facility, especially the indoor pool since the air quality from the Canadian wild fires was not great. The location is lovely and the kids enjoyed the hot tub! While a larger grocery store is a bit of a drive, there’s a Dollar General about 10 mins away to grab any forgotten incidentals. I would recommend Lookout Lodge if in the area.

Stayed at Woodland Retreat

After a summer in northeast Pennsylvania that has been one heat wave after another we were glad to escape to the mountains for some cooler weather and peace and quiet. The house was exactly as described in the listing. Highlights of our stay were sitting on the upper deck every morning and evening and watching the deer grazing on the hillside and on our first morning our dog alerted us to a mama bear with 3 cubs coming down the hillside to cross over to the meadow across the street. A definite bonus is being able to use the lake resort amenities.

We loved the hot tub and deck area. My son loved seeing all of the wildlife around. Overall, family friendly and enjoyable!

I had an absolutely wonderful time in the cabin, suited us perfectly. It was relatively clean other than a little bit of trash left outside. It was always nice and cold in the home and a good break from the summer heat, very secluded great for a little get away

Stayed at Heartwood Hollow

Great place to stay for a quiet private getaway. I’m not sure about the comments that mention neighbors or I personally didn’t see anyone around. Very clean cabin and I’d recommend staying here. Hot tub was private and a great experience. The only recommendation I’d give is more lighting in the kitchen area and window blinds for the front door. Other than that I give it five stars and the host is very responsive. Thanks again!

We had such a great time here! We did not want to leave! The host is not only very helpful but also very sweet. The house was well stocked with everything we needed :) We’d definitely go back in a heartbeat.

Stayed at Hummingbird Ridge

Lovely home very beautiful retro vibe to it. Unfortunately, we were lacking some amenities. The host was very responsive and trying to help us resolve. Any issues we had but that would be my main issue with them and I noticed that the cleaning crew didn’t fully wash the dishes properly a lot of the cups had water, stains, and certain pots looked dirty. Overall, it was a beautiful home. The fire pit was gorgeous. The hot tub was beautiful and nice and warm and it had an overall charming and inviting feel I do not wish for this review to come off as shady I am just sharing my personal experience!

Positive: Beautiful!! Lots of room! Plenty of beds and space for our family to sleep and be comfortable. Negative: The living room area furniture was not real relaxing or comfortable. There were projects and work being done to the property that was visibly not finished. There was no access to the washer and dryer on site.

Stayed at Into the Woods

Tony was a very helpful host and the cozy home in the woods was perfect for a weekend getaway! The space had cute nature themed decor and everything was clean and tidy. Unfortunately there was very bad air quality in WV the weekend we were visiting due to wildfire smoke from Canada, Tony was very quick to provide indoor activities we could do in the area! He was responsive to messages and helped us locate things if we had trouble finding it in the house. The kitchen was very well stocked with a variety of pots/pans for cooking and utensils! Overall, a lovely and peaceful place, highly recommend :) I just wish that the checkout time was slightly later, but I understand that they need ample time to clean it for future guests.

My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary. It was absolutely perfect! The Dome is beautiful and peaceful. Tony was very helpful from the very beginning and made sure our stay was the best it could be.
