The Home
The suite
Designed for two guests, this private suite features a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a full bathtub and shower. Vintage furnishings and original details reflect the heritage of the home, while the layout offers a comfortable retreat within the inn. The room is located on the second floor and includes a dedicated workspace, making it suitable for both rest and light productivity.
Shared spaces and setting
The Adam’s Suite is part of The Legacy Inn, a 7-suite, adults-only property. While your suite is private, you’ll share common areas such as the entryway, parlor, and outdoor spaces with other guests. A cozy sitting room with a fireplace provides a place to read or relax, and the overall environment encourages a respectful, quiet atmosphere.
Outdoor living
Step outside to take in views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the porch or spend time in the backyard garden. Outdoor furniture is available for enjoying fresh air, whether you’re reading, birdwatching, or simply taking in the surroundings.
Kitchen and dining
Guests have access to a kitchen - a space where guests can cook their own meals. The setup includes a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker, allowing for simple meal preparation during your stay.
Amenities and comfort
The suite includes Wifi, a TV, and board games for entertainment. Heating, air conditioning, and portable fans help maintain comfort throughout the property. A washer and dryer are available in the building. Bed linens are provided.
Getting around and extras
Free parking on premises is available for guests. Complimentary bicycles can be used on a first-come, first-served basis - a convenient way to explore downtown Luray or ride along the nearby Luray Greenway.
Longer Stays
For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.
This setting offers a balance of private accommodations and shared spaces, with historic character and a peaceful atmosphere throughout your stay.
Please note: this is an adults only, shared-space property. While suites are private, common areas like the entryway, parlor, and outdoor spaces are shared with other guests, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to grab one early and enjoy the ride!
Please note: The Inn is heated and cooled using mini split systems, which are energy-efficient and help us maintain comfort without altering the structure of our historic building. The mini split in the shared guest space is set to 70°F for your comfort. If the area feels too warm or too cool, you're welcome to turn off the unit using the remote; however, we kindly ask that you return it to 70°F or turn it back on when you leave the space. Due to the limitations of a historic property, we also recommend bringing a personal fan for added comfort during the warmer months.
