Nice secluded place in the woods, very private location.
However, some upgrades/repairs are needed.
The wifi isn’t strong around the cabin only in and above the kitchen. The master bedroom TV wasn’t operational because of the weak wifi signal, but the living room TV worked fine. The master bedroom shower doesn’t have a door so you’ll lose heat as you take a shower. The master bedroom shower floor is made from rocks, my guest had mentioned they almost cut their foot on the rocks. Some of the wall outlets are loose or unusable with the wall socket plates loose, most of the plates are snapped on. One of the kitchen cabinets almost fell on me, I realized it was glued on with no screws. The hot tub also had a major leak so it wasn’t usable the whole trip.
Besides the points above the rest of the trip was nice. Couple of shops and farmers markets to visit. Overall a nice stay, just some upgrades are needed.

The hot tub, bbq, screened porch were all great and worked well. The unit was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, coffee, propane. We were happy to have no issues with the dishwasher and sufficient towels, as mentioned in other reviews.
The neighborhood is a bit dated and amenities like tennis and basketball court somewhat lacking, but we still used it and had fun.
The unit was clean, but the couch could looked to be replaced soon, as it was not very sturdy.
I do agree with the previous review that there is little privacy upstairs due to the openness of the sliding barn doors. The two bedrooms sharing the jack/jill restroom can hear everything.
The unit does not come with wood for the fireplace, so remember to bring some prior to arrival. I would have been happy to add that to the price of the unit to save the time to find and purchase firewood.

Tony’s listing had a lot of space for our party of 6 adults, 2 infants, and one dog. The cabin was easy to get to and the area for very peaceful. The hot tub and grill in the screened-in porch were great amenities! However, when we first arrived the dishwasher and sink were leaking. Although Tony responded very quickly, we were unable to use and clean the kitchen for the first night. After the handyman came, and supposedly “fixed” the problem, the dishwasher continued to leak. The bathroom doors in all three bathrooms offered no privacy since they were barn doors and did not close all the way. The place seemed to get a quick surface clean but could definetly use a better cleaning. We found an old sock that didn’t belong to us under the couch.

Overall, the home was just as described. Cute and had a very private location. It could use some minor repairs and updates, but most rental places do in my experience. My largest complaint is a $200 cleaning fee for a home that certainly was not spotless upon arrival. For starters, two of the five rolled towels had hair on them. The staircase still had confetti from a previous guest, and the downstairs rooms smelled musty. My daughter actually almost threw up from the odor.
The photos represent a few different things than the homes description. The home does not have a washer and dryer, which is inconvenient when getting out of the hot tub as there is no great place to hang wet clothes or towels to dry. Very minor photo differences is the great room’s rug is far less appealing, personal preference, than the one in the image and one of the bedrooms have the bed pushed against a wall instead of in the open. Neither is a big deal, just different then that photo representations.

It’s a great place to stay. Tucked back in the woods. Was just what we needed. Unfortunately the washer and dryer were missing and we only had 5 towels for 7 guests. Thankfully we brought extra because of the hot tub. The cleanliness of the house was very poor and made you want to wear your shoes at all times. The kitchen was covered in grease.

The cabin is in a great location in Berkeley Springs, close to the town. Four bedrooms that make it comfortable for a family or group trip. The host is responsive during check in and booking.
We weren’t confident in the upkeep given that balusters were falling out of the staircase as our toddlers were going upstairs, baseboards in the kitchen were undone, and there was glitter and confetti throughout the living room and kitchen. Bathrooms were clean, recommend asking for extra towels if you have kids as a limited supply is provided.
We sadly had issues with safety due to inclement weather and had to cut our trip short and raise a resolution with Airbnb. The cabin is not equipped for snowstorms or snow removal, and our car got stuck in the driveway. That plus the unsafe staircase prompted us to leave early.

This place is great for large groups. The living space is huge and has plenty of seating. Our group of 8 adults, 2 kids, and a dog were all comfortable. The area is very private, peaceful and beautiful, we were there in the winter but I’m sure it would be even more gorgeous when the leaves have grown in!
Just a head’s up the bathrooms on the main floor as well as the Jack and Jill bathroom upstairs only have rolling barn door closures. It wasn’t very private which may make sharing bathrooms uncomfortable.
I was a little disappointed with the cleaning– the floors didn’t seem like they had been cleaned or vacuumed well after the previous guests, and there are little things around the house that need fixing. But overall, nothing major– We enjoyed our time there, it was just a little quirky.

We have stayed at Tony’s other houses several times and everything was always great. But this time we came to this house with a large group to celebrate the New Year. And we were disappointed, there is no connection and internet and we could not contact Tony to give us the access code to WiFi. We had to drive several miles from home to get a connection and be able to contact the owners. Also, there were clumps of dog hair all over the house, the shower stall was not washed and there were piles of garbage under the sofa. There was also a power outage for 2 hours. Our group was disappointed, as our expectations for the New Year holidays were spoiled.

Tony is a great host he is very responsive and will make sure problems are resolved. On the other hand, the place was so bad we couldnt stay there past one night. We were ment to stay for 6 nights. The place was dirty and covered with pet hair. There were stains on the pillows and tables. One of the beds slats were also broken. There were a bunch of hanging wires everywhere. It definitely needed some upkeep and TLC

First, my family and I loved this cabin and would definitely stay again. Overall the cabin was clean, updated, and in great condition. There were lots of household items (kitchen things and homey touches) that really stood out to us. We loved the area and would stay again for sure. The listing does show and state that there is a washer/dryer in the lower level- this was unfortunately removed before our stay and we were not notified. Anyone with young kids around knows that laundry is unavoidable, it would have been nice to be able to do the kids laundry during our stay. However, It didn’t change how we felt about the house or our experience as a whole so I would still recommend this rental to anyone considering! It really is a little gem!

Tony was very kind, and the place was great. Location was perfect and the house was clean. We were sad to learn that the washer/dryer had been removed. But, we had a great time, and the house manual was very helpful. Checking in and out was easy, and we were happy with the house and the hot tub.

Tony’s place was exactly the quiet getaway I was looking for. Sitting on the porch reading and listening to the soft stillness of the woods was dreamy. Being surrounded by nature and trees (and the occasional woodland creature) makes it easy to slow down and enjoy the views and peace that Mother Nature has to offer. It was so easy to relax with the availability of the hot tub and a roaring fire to end the nights. I highly recommend this place if you’re on the hunt for a secluded and private getaway to disconnect from devices and the chaos of life and reconnect with nature and your loved ones. We will come back here!

My coworkers and I stayed her for a business trip. The space was nice but did have a few problems. Couch pillow was tore, wall was falling apart which made it hard to open the bathroom door, and washer and dryer had mold in it. I sent him pictures so hopefully he fix it before the next guest arrives.

Great location just outside of Berkeley Springs but in a more secluded part of the resort community. Very spacious layout for a family or group. Tony was receptive to our feedback about some minor housekeeping issues. We hope to return soon!

Being a cancer patient, this getaway meant a lot as Ive been in active treatment since 6 months and wanted to be in a place close to nature hence booked this cabin. The experience wasnt as good as I expected, the place had a foul smell , we bought some air freshners while on stay. Also the Internet was unusable, and we couldnt use the pool as it was broken.
Tony as a host was great, he sent clear instructions on everything and even a few recommendations on things to do and places to eat.
The cabin living room carpet was smelly, quilts had some stains and place needs repair specially the covered patio screen, they had spider webs everywhere. I felt I couldnt use a lot of things as they were either broken or dirty. all in all an OK experience.

What a hidden gem! Private, but certainly not remote. This property was perfect in every way! The family loved watching the deer and listening to the birds every morning. We had plans to sight see in the surrounding area but found that we loved exploring the local wildlife eateries and then relaxing in Tony’s beautiful cabin. He was an amazing host, always responsive and prompt. We can’t wait to come back!!

The positives
The house has four bedrooms and is spacious enough. We like the location and the amenities of coolfront
The negatives
When I originally booked it said no pets, but I later learned this was just cats and dogs were allowed. I have two people that have dog allergies. The listing has since been changed to pets allowed.
The projector had been removed. It would have been nice just to notify us prior to our arrival. The wires from the projector were just laying in the ground
The cabin wasn’t as clean as it could have been (kitchen table was dirty, ball of pet hair in basement bedroom, some dust hanging from ceiling above bunk beds. Ashes left in fireplace giving off a smoke smell.
Hose outside wouldn’t turn off and was leaking. Notified owner but no one ever came. This left the outdoor patio carpet soaking wet.
We lost power the last night at 12:30. Never came back on. So after 9 hours without power all we received was an apology and a reminder about checkout.

We had an amazing stay for a friends’ getaway! We spent time in Harpers Ferry (about an hour away) and Berkeley Springs. The house was a great place to relax, hot tub, and recharge. The huge couch to accommodate our whole group was awesome! There were lots of beds making it perfect for a friends’ trip. (Side note- There are several air fresheners if there is anyone in your group with allergies, etc.). The surroundings were beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Tony’s cabin. There are a few things I think could be improved upon though. There are many barn doors so the rooms and bathrooms are not very private or soundproof. The doors that are normal got stuck and were incredibly loud. This was very inconvenient with several sleeping babies. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and the projector shown and displayed in the main photo was not installed when we arrived which was a big bummer. The surrounding area is very nice and we enjoyed the hot tub.

This house is set back in private community, it’s a lovely home with all the amenities one might need. It’s spacious and clean. I didn’t realize just how peaceful and quiet it was until the first morning waking up before sunrise; I literally couldn’t hear anything that would disrupt the serene peace I was enjoying (i.e. no traffic sounds, not even wildlife sounds)! The only little thing that wasn’t as expected was the absence of the home theater (shown in posted pics of cabin). We didn’t travel there to watch movies, but it would have been nice. Did not keep us from enjoying our stay. Lovely place and great host. We will stay in another of Tony’s places anytime.

We had a wonderful time at Cardinal Crest. The home was spotless, the couch in the great room was comfy. I loved the first floor master bath. We took full advantage of the hot tub and grilled every night (and some lunches) on the screened in porch. It was a quick and easy walk to the lake for some fishing. It was a peaceful long weekend, with the perfect amount of fun and rest.

I didn't realize just how peaceful and quiet it was until the first morning waking up before sunrise; I literally couldn't hear anything that would disrupt the serene peace I was enjoying (i.e. no traffic sounds, not even wildlife sounds)! The only little thing that wasn't as expected was the absence of the home theater (shown in posted pics of cabin). We didn't travel there to watch movies, but it would have been nice. Did not keep us from enjoying our stay. Lovely place and great host. We will stay in another of Tony's places anytime.

We had a wonderful time at Cardinal Crest. The home was spotless, the couch in the great room was comfy. I loved the first floor master bath. We took full advantage of the hot tub and grilled every night (and some lunches) on the screened in porch. It was a quick and easy walk to the lake for some fishing. It was a peaceful long weekend, with the perfect amount of fun and rest.

Peaceful location in Berkeley Springs. Great for a weekend getaway with the kids or for a couple!
