We had a great time staying here! Walkable and close to low town. The house was very comfortable and we enjoyed being there. The tub/shower was not too comfortable but it was good for a few days of stay. Tony is also very responsive.

Tony’s house was clean and inviting. We would absolutely stay there again. He was very quick to respond via text to any questions or needs we had.

Pros: Great location; we loved walking to Harpers Ferry (it is a steep walk but doable), being basically across the street from Bolivar Bread and The Appalachian Snail (both great). The house is lovely with plenty of space, lots of charm, delightful front porch, comfortable beds, and updated kitchen, however, when we arrived I’d say it was about 85-90% ready for guests. However, we let Tony know the issues and he resolved most very speedily. We really appreciated his responsiveness and care! Cons: The fireplace doesn’t close, depending on the breeze the front room sometimes smelled very smokey. We covered the opening with an extra fitted sheet and that helped significantly. Our only other con was that while we loved the convenient location, it felt overpriced. We stay in a lot of airbnbs and what we paid seemed a bit steep (we were especially disappointed initially before many of the issues were resolved).

Positive: We loved that it is a house with period features and comfortable at the same time. The swing on the veranda was very welcome and you can easily walk down into Harpers Ferry. Negative: For international travellers the code sharing for entry into the property and communication didn’t work so well. Would be best if communication went through booking.com when bookings are made through them.

We found the accommodations to be lovely, quaint and clean. The large porch with plenty of seating was a great place to start and end each day. Deer frequented the yard for extra beauty. The location is fantastic and within walking distance or short drives to popular attractions, eateries and grocery stores. Our host, Tony was communicative, friendly, helpful and promptly responsive to questions. Thank you, Tony! Just as an additional note to consider for future guests: As a group of those in their late 50’s to late 60’s, we felt it important to mention that though charming, the claw foot tub/shower head arrangement is not a full sized tub and that the set up could be a concern if anyone in your group has mobility or balance issues. That said, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Harpers Ferry at the Queen Anne! It was a restful home away from home!

Perfect location! Just a block over to Bolivar Bread Bakery-what a treat! The Barn was also within walking distance-it’s such a fun place and they played live music both nights we were there. And still just a short drive down to Harper’s Ferry (you could walk if you want but it was extremely hot during our stay!) The house was extremely clean and well stocked, just wish it had a Keurig. They had nice new linens and the beds were comfortable. The only complaint is the bathroom because there is only a clawfoot tub/shower combo. There’s no good place to put your bathroom products and it is really small. I understand it is helping keep the old home feel but since it is the only full bathroom I think it should have a more practical shower. There was an issue with the A/C at another one of Tony’s properties we were supposed to stay at the day before check in so he offered to move us here and it was a great alternative! Overall we loved Harpers Ferry and would definitely stay here again!

The house is absolutely beautiful and the location is wonderful – a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the shops and restaurants. The beds and bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. There is only one full bath in the house, but that’s to be expected in these historic homes. Would definitely stay here again.
