We absolutely loved our stay!! The cabin was exactly as described and the location can’t be beat. It’s less than a 5 minute drive from a winery (which was beautiful!) and brewery. Less than a 10 min drive from downtown. Less than a 5 minute drive from a lookout point. A 10-15 minute drive to Cacapon. It is truly a perfect weekend getaway with a responsive host and beautiful place to stay. Would absolutely recommend and stay again!!

Quite place to relax with family

My husband and I couldn’t be happier! Super clean, had everything you need especially in the kitchen! We needed a peaceful getaway from all the busy and this was perfect. Being dog friendly made it even better and our pups enjoyed it very much! The screened in porch was my fave and theirs as well. We sat out there every day and every night until late just reading/playing cards and listening to nature. The hot tub was the perfect place to sit back and look at the stars. Downtown area is so cute with the best shops and restaurants. Tony is such a wonderful host we will 100% be back!

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to unplug for the weekend and this place was just perfect. It sits off a dirt road, we saw one car drive by the whole weekend. The place is pretty secluded. You can see one other house from the property but we did not really see any other people. The place was very clean and comfortable. The screened in porch was just perfect for sitting out and being with nature. The hot tub was also perfect for extra relaxation. Tony is an incredible host. He was very responsive and made sure everything was to our liking. Highly recommend!

Great location for some quiet time away from the city. Even the weather cooperated! Close enough to town for any last minute needs, but far enough away to feel remote.

The only problem that I had with this house is the photos are inaccurate. There is no yard. I stayed here because it had a yard where I could walk my dog. The backyard in the photos was from a different year. It is all over grown woods and difficult to walk in. The photos should be updated on this property because I didn’t have a place to let my dog out.

We loved staying at Tony’s cabin in Berkeley Springs! It was peaceful and remote. Yes, other cabins are in sight, but over four days we saw one person with their dog walk down the road. Not a single car drove by. It’s a great spot to escape for some quiet and solitude. Our dog agrees. 🙂

We booked this stay as a quick birthday getaway. It was peaceful and relaxing. The stargazing from the hot tub was spectacular. There is a cute babbling brook by the driveway that offers a very pleasant sound effects. If you enjoy hiking and the outdoors, the area is perfect. Berkley Springs is a wonderful hidden gem. I decided to surprise my husband with a New years getaway we definitely needed a break from our hectic lives. It was such a blessing to be able to bring in the new year in such a beautiful cabin. Went to the antique store on 522 and found a beautiful pair of 1970s diamond earrings at an amazing price. New Year’s Day it was so magical, it snowed all afternoon. We had the fireplace rumbling we went and got a pizza from Fox’s pizza which was pretty good. We took a dip in the Jacuzzi as it was snowing, that was awesome. We napped while hearing the fire crackling was so soothing. Tony’s cabin is very peaceful, very private it was just a picture perfect week. We did four nights five days I wish we could’ve stayed longer. I look forward to escaping again while using another one of Tony‘s fabulous cabins, he’s an excellent host. We never needed for anything, all of my expectations were definitely met. Thank you again. Also being able to bring my fur baby was such a blessing.

Great quiet escape from the city- spot is relaxing, comfortable, & furnished with everything you could need. Three nights at this cabin was rejuvenating and exactly what we had hoped for. Tony is incredibly responsive and very helpful- I had a few strange questions and he graciously answered all of them. Thank you, Tony!

Great House, We Plan to Go Back

This was my second stay and it was just as perfect as the first! The master bedroom is wonderful. Especially the bed! And the hot tub is glorious 😁 I highly recommend staying here and we will be back ❤️

What a great place for a two night recharge! Hot tub was the best we have had in an Airbnb for quite some time, and extra blankets were easy to find when it was surprisingly colder outside than we expected! Would absolutely stay again!

Although this place was very clean and honestly a very good setup, there were only a few things keeping it from being Five star. Let me start by saying people have a strange idea of seclusion. This place is not in the open but there is a neighbor across the road clearly visible from the screened porch and front porch. They have a loud, large, non socialized dog (neighbor yelled while trying to control it) this isn’t Tony’s fault. There are also neighbors up the road who can see in the house via see through blinds. They can also see onto the back deck with hot tub in view. At night the whole kitchen living room is on display for the neighbors. One drawback is zero grass for your dog to do his business on. So be prepared to walk the dark lane with your pup. When I think secluded I think no one can see you from road or through trees. Also all the constant text warnings/instructions caused more stress then being helpful (you end up worrying more about fees then relaxing).

Tony’s place was exactly as described and super cozy. Favorite thing is the hot tub!!! Tony always responded quickly and the whole experience was easy peasy! Definitely returning!

It was a beautiful location, the hot tub was amazing. Only thing is I wished the screened doors weren’t so easy to open. We were worried our dog would push them up in the middle of the night so we couldn’t enjoy the sounds and cool weather.

Beautiful, secluded cabin. Enjoyed spending our anniversary at this location, especially loved the options at Berkeley Springs Brewery. (Bring your own cards, games, etc).

This was a spontaneous 2 day getaway for us. We were looking for a cabin that’s peaceful, secluded, quiet, and with a hot tub. It was perfect for us. We loved the screened in deck with lights and ceiling fan. If you like cooking, the kitchen has everything you need. Everything was clean. I can see ourselves booking this cabin again sometime. Tony checked in with us every day with a text to make sure everything was ok. Perfect getaway for us.

The Happy Valley Retreat has become one of our favorite spots to relax. The house is clean and comfortable, and Tony is such a warm and welcoming host, who communicated well through the entire process. He was a wealth of suggestions in the area. The house is thoughfully laid out and the kitchen offered everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We can’t wait to come back!

We booked Tony’s place last minute for a girls weekend and drove all the way down from Philly to escape the city. We wanted to feel immersed in nature and Tony’s house definitely provided! The house was easy to find at night, and check in was super easy. We were very impressed with how clean the kitchen was and stocked with all kinds of dishes and utensils. All the furniture was so comfortable. The beds especially! We woke up to the sound of frogs, wild birds, woodpeckers, possibly a donkey and a couple of roosters which was fun! The hot tub was impeccably clean and so relaxing. We went for a walk down the road admiring nature and sat outside the whole day just impressed by the surrounding beauty. On our last morning, we woke up to a red cardinal tapping at the bedroom windows, as if he was our alarm clock! So fun! We loved it there so much we didn’t leave the house until the day we checked out and explored the friendly town of Berkeley springs. We would definitely come back!!!

Happy Valley was fantastic! The area is beautiful, Cacapon is fantastic and the surrounding town is cozy with an up and coming art scene. Plenty to do, and Tony has any suggestions that you may need! He’s exceptionally communicative and keeps his property very well. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay! We very much enjoyed our long weekend at the cabin. We were all very relaxed at the house, dogs included. The screened in porch was great and we loved the hot tub. We enjoyed that nightly while star gazing. We are definitely keeping this property into consideration to visit again. The location is great, secluded in the woods but also close enough to “downtown” Berkley Springs to grab a bite to eat. We enjoyed Charlotte’s Cafe, Canary Grill, Berkley Springs Brewery, and hiking and swimming at Cacapon State Park.

Lovely cabin meticulously maintained, highlight was the hot tub on the back deck and the grill/table on the front deck, surrounded by trees. In addition there is a comfortable sitting room area and screened porch too. Everything is organized, labeled, communicated. We chose this as a half-way point between two couples that wanted some face-to-face time as colleagues in the same organization, so it was partly work but in a relaxing atmosphere, which this was perfect for. Great internet, plenty of spaces to meet and work, and very much removed from the rest of life, with pleasant relaxing/friendship time too. Wooded and quiet. The rules look a little overwhelming but they are mostly just common courtesy types of “rules” so I’m guessing they get some rowdy or careless guests and are trying to keep this space nice for their own family? So far so good!

My husband and I were looking for a last minute getaway for his birthday. We came across this place and figured we’d give it a shot. We booked it a few days before and I received the house manual, instructions etc the day before. I appreciated everything was clearly laid out, and Tony was extremely helpful. We had two small hiccups, one with the smoke detectors beeping, and we had to take the batteries out, and nest down to charge it all weekend; and the other was upon arrival it was 59 degrees inside. We didn’t realize the thermostat wasn’t going to heat the place at all, and we should have bought firewood for that first night. TO BE CLEAR, Tony’s manual did suggest we get firewood. That hiccup was on us, not him. Just letting everyone know, the thermostat is a “backup,” and you rely on the wood stove for heat if needed. Aside from that, Tony checked in on us each day and offered to make recs if needed. We would stay again if we decide to go back to this area to stay. Dog friendly!

Great place to sit back & relax!

This place was just beautiful. While there were a few houses nearby, it felt like it was totally secluded. Everything was clean and just as described. There were even some additional bonuses like some beer and juice in the fridge and a plate of candy on the counter. I am mobility impaired, but had an easy time getting around the house. The back porch was directly a walk-out. The main (side) entrance had a small flight of stairs, but had a good hand railing and it was just a couple steps. The hot tub was lovely and a nice attraction for us. We planned on doing some things nearby, but the seclusion was great and it was an easy drive into town. There were only two small hiccups in our stay. We had some trouble with the lockbox code, but the owner was very responsive and it was a minor inconvenience. Also, there is a very territorial Cardinal (bird) that enjoyed whacking into the windows in the morning (a bit early for my taste). A wonderful trip and magnificent property!

Beautiful cabin and well appointed! Everything you need to feel right at home! Tony is an A+++ host! He checks in often and is very responsive and helpful! I was concerned about WiFi and cell service and Tony assured me that the WiFi is excellent! He was right! I also use Verizon as my carrier and had great cell reception the whole stay. Also, the WiFi was just like my high speed internet at home! The cabin was extremely clean and beautifully furnished without feeling cluttered! You could “smell” the clean without the chemical smell. Complimentary Teas and coffee were provided so I enjoyed many cups of green tea while soaking in the hot tub in the evenings and mornings. The beds and furniture were super comfortable! I didn’t venture out during my stay but Tony gives many wonderful suggestions on places to go and were to eat and shop during your stay! I feel refreshed after two wonderful days and will definitely choose this or any other property hosted by Tony in the future!

We went last minute for a one night getaway from DC to Tony’s place – one couple and our dog. It was a good space for just the three of us and if the weather was a bit warmer, we would have used even more of it. (ie: deck, screen porch) The town is about a 10 min drive away from the neighborhood and is quite charming. Tony is super responsive and has a thorough guidebook for all his properties which is really helpful. The hot tub is huge/really clean and was a real plus staying there once we got it going. The fireplace was also great (bring wood!) and master bed comfortable.

Positive: It was an absolute treat to stay at Tony’s place. We enjoyed the hot tub in the middle of a beautiful forest, the porch for relaxing, the large bed with very soft sheets, breakfast & dinner outside on the terrasse. The Wifi is really excellent. The Food Line store down in Berkley Springs has a fantastic healthy line up. The view from the Mountain Overlook platform in Cacapone State Park is fantastic. We also hiked Paw Paw tunnel & enjoyed a swim in Potomac River. Fantastic surroundings to explore & enjoy. Negative: Everything was perfect.

Few words describing Tony’s place are secluded quiet oasis. Great secluded location, but still close to Berkeley Springs. The hot tub is excellent, AC works great, Wi-Fi is strong for streaming, kitchen is well equipped, screen porch is so enjoyable and the couch is sooo comfy. My wife and our 2 dogs enjoyed our extended weekend very much.

Captains log: A New Abode After many years of proving his tolerance and patience, I decided to reward my spouse with an excursion. That’s right folks, we packed our bindles, prepared our transportation, and headed out for a two hour tour. As soon as we pulled up to this residence, I could see a veil of stress finally begin to drift from my husbands face (I was driving). We were barely across the threshold before our first bottle of wine was spontaneously uncorked and consumed 😂 Sitting on the screened in porch, we reminisced of the simplicity of our childhood as the cicadas serenaded us. The next morning, we briskly awoke with one intention…to steep in the isolated the thermal basin. We bobbed in the warm water, listening to songbirds, and planned our next move. We decided to peruse Cacapon State Park, so we would have an appetite for the Panorama Bar and Grill. One long hike and one Long Island Ice Tea later… and I was ready for another adventure. We were eating to drink and drinking to eat by the time we decided to stop at Cold Run Valley Winery. My husband and I are not into fruit based spirits…but by the time we left, the two bottles of wine I purchased told me otherwise! Thank goodness it was walking distance to our cabin! We finished out our evening inside due to precipitation, but the screened in porch and roku were definitely utilized. The next morning we begrudgingly packed our belongings for the long trip home. In the car, we reflected on our trip as well as the immaculate condition of the amenities we were given the privilege to use. Three years worth of love and patience rewarded with this cabin trip…My only regrets are not taking trips like this sooner, more often, and longer.

This is a must stay. We have stayed in several AirBnB’s this one is tops. The location is quiet. The home is clean, spacious and full of all the things you might need. Kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials.
