Community amenities are managed separately and may be subject to seasonal schedules, operating hours, maintenance, availability, or community rules.
Winter Travel
Winter brings beautiful snow-covered scenery to the West Virginia mountains, along with the possibility of snow and ice. Resort maintenance clears community roads, but stairs and walkways around the property may still be slippery. 4WD/AWD or tire chains are strongly recommended during winter weather, along with boots with good traction. A shovel and ice melt are provided for the stairs. Please check weather and road conditions before traveling and come prepared for changing mountain conditions.
Black Bear Resort Community Policy
The property is located within Black Bear Resort HOA, a peaceful mountain community where guests are asked to follow community guidelines during their stay and any violations could result in a $200 fine:
Occupancy is limited to up to 4 adults (queen and full bed) and 2 children (bunk bed). No events or large gatherings
Designated Parking Only
Noise ordinances must be obeyed from 10PM-7AM (respectful voice and music levels both inside and outside the property at these times)
Dark Sky Policy requires exterior lights be extinguished after 10PM
Adhering to the speed limit
Do not leave trash out overnight…there are bears and other wildlife in the area
No firearms or fireworks of any type may be used within the Black Bear Resort
