If you are looking for a rustic mountain getaway, Cedar Ridge is the spot! The cabin is nestled in a beautiful mountain setting. Although we could hear the neighbors talking, it is a peaceful location. The cabin was nice and clean!
My five stars definitely go to our hosts who were super helpful and always responded promptly.

The fire pit and hot tub were great. We also liked the 3 separate sleeping areas.
Negative:
The outside garbage cans were both full when we arrived. On the last night, one of the cans had its contents emptied and strewn about. We spent the morning cleaning up the mess.
The cans should have bungee cords or something to secure the lids on.

My family had a wonderful vacation stay here! It was a relaxing retreat away filled with beautiful scenery and memories made! Tony was an amazing host who answered all questions for us! The house was super clean and accommodating to all our needs! I highly suggest staying here!

I recently stayed in this cabin and it was an unforgettable experience. Everything was beyond expectations – clean, cozy, and beautifully designed. The view was stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect getaway.
The host was super friendly and responsive, which made the whole stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and high-quality stay.

This beautiful home was a lot of fun to stay at. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils, pots, plates, cups, etc. Overall, the cabin was cleaned well and maintained nicely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and loved the surrounding areas. One thing to note is that the staircase to the loft area is on the narrow/skinny side and is steeper than a normal staircase, making it a little tricky/sketchy going up and down, especially at night. Beds were comfortable, and the towels and other linens were nice, clean,n and free of stains/smells. If we return to this area, we will definitely stay here again.

Very beautiful cabin. The host was very nice and provided prompt responses to my inquiries. I stayed there for a week for work purposes, so I didn’t have the opportunity to use the hot tub, but everything was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The only issue was the age of the floor, which wasn’t a problem for me. I particularly enjoyed the WiFi, as phone service is limited in the area. Additionally, the road to the cabin was somewhat long, but this is typical for a cabin. The property is well-maintained, although the door could use some adjustment. However, this didn’t cause any issues during my stay. The instructions provided were clear and concise. Thank you, Tony.

While there wasn’t much to do in the area, this cabin was a great place to get away. My friends and I took advantage of the hot tub almost every day and had a great time roasting marshmallows over the fire. Overall, the house is on a peaceful road without a lot of residents or traffic, great for grilling out on the deck or stargazing.

The place was nice and Tony was a great host. However, like similar reviews stated there is a significant foul smell coming from the kitchen sink. I asked ahead of time if this had been resolved, but clearly it hasn’t. Anytime you run a shower or use the kitchen sink the whole place begins to smell horrible for about 30 minutes. Otherwise, I loved the place. Would stay again if they fixed the smell.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay here. Tony checked in and was very responsive. The hot tub was very relaxing in the cold weather. The space has some quirks but all small stuff. We were closer to other houses than I was expecting based on the photos. Be prepared for a well water smell. It didn’t bother me since I’ve stayed in the area before. The area was really quiet and relaxing.

Really the cabin has it all for a quiet get away. If anything should be added. I would suggest washer and dryer for extended stays. Tony was a great host. On my next visit to my sister’s I hope his cabin is available. Would stay again.

The cabin was really nice but it had some electrical problems. When we used the hair dryer for example the lights would start flickering and if you would turn on the tv the hair dryer would lose power. We also came into the cabin with food from the supermarket and found out the stove was not working which really sucked because we were planning on cooking with the food we bought. But after texting him he switched the cabin for us which was really nice he is a good host. Overall we were happy with our stay the area was really nice and many things to do.

Stayed for Thanksgiving with my wife, two kids, and in-laws. The property was just as described. The area is super quiet and peaceful with east-facing views of the sunrise over the mountains. Tony was beyond helpful, great communication, and very responsive. My kids left their coats behind in the closet. Thankfully we realized before getting to the highway, and Tony was able to help us retrieve the easily. Would 100% stay here again.

Cabin was very nice and Tony was very accommodating. We had a few hiccups due to a severe storm out of anyone’s control and Tony made it right. The beds in the loft, I wouldn’t recommend for small children or anyone that struggles with stairs. If you plan to use the hot tub, be sure to bring beach towels. Would book this property again.

This was a great family vacation. The hot tub was amazing to relax after sight seeing during the day with the family. We took a couple trips to DC for the zoo and museums but even had we not, West Virginia has a “wild and wonderful” attraction all of its own! We were there for a family reunion and the cabin was close to my in laws also so very convenient. It is a little out there so don’t look for food delivery 😂 but we managed just fine with the groceries and the grill! Thank you for a home away from home!!

This place was really nice and relaxing; we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it for anyone looking for some quiet time to get away. It’s about a half hour away from Berkeley Springs where there’s a lot of fun stuff to do, and Harper’s Ferry is pretty close as well. The place has lots of space and the hot tub is a great bonus.

Tony was extremely responsive and helpful with all questions that popped up throughout (and after) our stay. I left my watch behind and Tony was very helpful and responsive in getting it mailed back to me. Nothing out of the ordinary but the place had some wear and tear as you might expect given that it is a rental space and is in the woods. The beds were much more comfortable than they looked! Everything worked well and we enjoyed our relaxing time!

lovely spot and great for our friend’s trip away for the weekend. everything was as described and we were very close to the trailhead for Sleepy Creek. Only thing I wish we had known was that the water in the tap was quite hard and had a strong iron taste and smell. Not a deal breaker but some of our group decided to grab some water bottles to drink out of.

We really enjoyed our stay. The atmosphere was very relaxing and even though there were neighbors they’re not that close and were separated by trees so we almost felt secluded which was what we were looking for. Tony was an excellent host and gave us enough information beforehand so we really didn’t have any questions for him.

We greatly enjoyed the firepit and privacy of this cabin. This stay was fine, but there is room for improvement – just a whole bunch of little things that are relatively easy fixes but jump out after one night at the property. Examples: only one kitchen towel, there’s a fireplace but no firewood, kitchen could use a meat thermometer and food storage containers, there are curtain rods but no curtains, non-working outdoor lighting, walls are patched poorly, etc. There are two other things specifically worth noting. One, it’s not prepped for a toddler. There are only baby gates at the top of the stairs and nothing to keep them from climbing on the definitely-not-to-code loft stairs. Two, things are cleaned but probably hasn’t been deep cleaned in awhile – the rugs were pretty nasty. Overall, it’s clear you’re staying in an investment project rather than a home, but it’s a decent place to stay as long as you don’t plan for the cabin to be a vacation in/of itself.

This is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. We felt very comfortable and the house is thoughtfully stocked with good kitchen tools. The fire pit and hot tub were excellent additions. The swimming hole very close (10 min drive) and on the road into the place. Tony is very responsive as well. This was an excellent experience for my family and I. I highly recommend it.

If you’re looking for a private stay with comfortable beds and a lovely hot tub, this is the place for you! Tony is a wonderful host who is incredibly responsive. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom is large.
A few things about the property: the driveway is steep, as are the stairs going up to the front door and to the loft. There are plenty of bugs that come in, but that’s par for the course in WV. You will need to watch your step when going into the kitchen as the trim on the step is loose and there is a spot in the floor where the boards come up to a point.
Just a note, the lake is about 5 minutes by car. Great for fishing and swimming! A neighbor did ask us to show the lake pass and asked where we were renting. They let us in but weren’t overtly friendly to us.
Overall, this place was quiet and relaxing. A great weekend getaway!

This was a great place to stay for a short getaway from our daily grind. Being in the woods away from the highways and hustle of the suburbs allowed for us to unwind. Just the right amount of space without it feeling too big or too small. Tony was very easy to reach via text message. We spent our whole time at the house. Walked the road in the community a couple times to stretch our legs. The best part of the trip was waking up, w/o an alarm, to the sounds of birds chirping in the morning.

Tony’s cabin was an incredible getaway from the day to day of the city. Once the sun goes down, you can hear peepers and whippoorwills chanting in the dark and see the Big Dipper through the treetops as you enjoy a soak in his outdoor hot tub. In the morning, we enjoyed coffee on the porch and listened to the woodpeckers and blue jays argue farther back in the woods. There’s a secluded trail about a mile away that you can hike up to Devil’s Rock to enjoy an overlook into the valley and dip your toes in the stream on your way back. We enjoyed sandwiches from Tony’s Butcher Block just past the high school, and came back to fire up the bbq later that evening. Truly a wonderful host and relaxing hideaway in the West Virginia hills!

Tony’s place was nice & spacious, the area and neighborhood was good, we enjoyed the fire pit and other amenities inside the house. I would recommend the stay. The only thing that disappointed us was when we arrived the place wasn’t clean at all. The house was dirty and dusty. And trash left in multiple places. Tony did get his cleaners out the next day to clean so that was good but nobody wants to walk in a dirty home after you have been told the cleaners just left. Everything was nice besides that.

Overall we had a really nice stay! Clean house, well equipped kitchen, easy to check in and out. As other reviews have stated house is small and the stairs going up are very narrow so just be mindful of that. The other thing that we didn’t realize (maybe should have considering the area and well water) was to bring lots of bottled water with us. I am sure the water is perfectly safe, but tasted very metallic. Again, not an issue, but want others to be more prepared than we were. We ran to the dollar store about 15 minutes away and were set!
The only other issue was with communication. Tony reached out asking if we needed recommendations, which was super nice, however when I asked some questions he never responded. We were trying to get to know the area so the lack of response was a little disappointing.
Overall would recommend! We had a very nice stay!

Tony’s place was the perfect mini getaway for my boyfriend and me. Tony is a great host and kept in touch providing recommendations and things to do in the area (which is quaint but perfect if that’s what you’re looking for!) The house is very private tucked away in a neighborhood with updated appliances and extremely comfy beds! The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, and all the other cooking utensils you’d need which was very convenient. We also really enjoyed the fire pit out front and it kept us warm while looking at the stars which are beautiful out there! PSA: Whiskey and bourbon lovers – check out Top Shelf Liquor in Berkeley Springs and you will not be disappointed 🙂

Fantastic cabin in a secluded community nestled in the woods of West Virginia. The cabin had everything you could need to cook and prepare meals, it was clean and extremely comfortable. The autumn setting is exactly what we were looking for and Tony’s cabin delivered! Tony was a wonderful host sending texts to see how things were going and was extremely responsive to our questions regarding the local area. Highly recommended!

What a great place to stay! Very clean cabin with an amazing deck to sit out and enjoy some coffee or cocktails. Tony was very kind and accommodating. I have to say one of my favorite parts of my stay was going down to the lake for a swim. There’s nothing like a dip before dinner in a beautiful tree surrounded lake. You will love your nights by the fire pit. Throw on the string lights and roast some marshmallows. No need to look any further, if you are staying in the area book with Tony.

Our stay at the cabin was great and relaxing as it was so very quite for the most part. The couch is not comfortable and you cannot sign into your streaming accounts on the TV. The steps to the house are long and steep and this caused some issues for someone with asthma during a humid week. Tony was VERY receptive to inquiries and always responded quickly. In fact, he took the initiative to suggest places to go without being asked. All in all, it was a great escape from the busy city of Philadelphia. The quiet mountains and nice people in the community were exactly what was needed to reset. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your cabin! We hope to be back to the area soon!

This cabin is the perfect getaway spot! It’s so quiet, the sky is filled with stars at night and the lake or nearby hiking trails are great for the nature lover. It’s the perfect place to completely escape, due to its remoteness, or, if you are still looking for a little liveliness, Berkeley Springs is an easy drive away and full of fun options!
Tony is a gracious and thorough host. You will not have any questions, as they are all answered for you. He’s incredibly responsive, too.
The cabin is just as the pictures show: tidy and absolutely adorable! It’s the perfect size for a small group/family getaway or a date weekend! If you’re thinking about booking, do it!

The space was a little smaller than we thought, but it was still nice and the high ceiling made it feel very spacious. The neighbors were a bit loud at times but that is to no fault of the owners. Just keep an eye out the neighbors like to ride 4 wheelers quite fast on the roads and will sneak up on you quick. So drive slow and cautiously. You’re in the woods, which WE LOVED. But he’s not joking when he says there will be spiders!
The outdoor lights did not work unfortunately. But we bought some from the dollar store and used them instead so we could have some light outside when it got dark.
The A frame IS NOT on the lake. It’s 5 min away. Don’t let the pictures fool you. Just make sure you read the full description.
Overall, we had a good stay and had a great time. They made sure there were enough towels for us, the views were pretty, the fire pit was relaxing, it was a nice little get away.

This sweet little cottage was so welcoming! We stopped there on our way home from the OBX where we had shared a beach house with extended family and the peaceful environment here was so comforting following a lot of commotion. It is very private with views of the woods from every window. The beds are extremely comfortable! My kids (ages 4, 7, and 8) loved the loft and the fire pit. It was a win for them, even without us having time to visit the private lake area. We had no issues finding food/necessities near by… We picked up a few snacks and frozen pizzas at the dollar general (less than a 10 minute drive) and were completely set. I would not hesitate to book this same home soon.

My friends and I absolutely loved this house. The location was perfect. The home was located in a private community on the top of a hill, giving you tons of privacy and nice views. We took advantage of the private lake located within the community and swam all day. Tony was a great host and texted to check in each day to make sure we were happy. Great spot, beautiful cabin! The 3rd bedroom (loft upstairs) has lower ceilings and a skinny/steep staircase to get to it, so something to think about! Also, the host does say this, but the driveway is a pretty steep hill, so if you are vacationing in the winter with snow in the forecast bring a 4WD car 😉 Overall, our family of 6 (+1 baby and a dog) had a great time for a long snowy weekend <3

Everything was so clean and the preparation Tony put into the description of the home, the information of the area and things to do (shopping, restaurants, etc.) was also spot on. It’s a great place to get away from it all. I gave 4 stars for location … only because it is out of the way (about 30 minutes from “things”). But Tony made that very clear in the description and information he provides. If you are expecting a lot right around you…then just keep that in mind. It worked out just right for our family!

It was my birthday weekend that I stayed here at Tony’s cabin. The cabin is clean and well maintained. It can be spooky in the evening if you are a scaredy cat like I am(this is why I didn’t stay alone) but overall it’s a great and relaxing stay. We took a walk and enjoyed the nature! We also cooked and the cabin had everything needed to cook there including pots and pans and seasonings which was perfect.

Tony’s place had great interiors and very clean! it has a small footprint but it’s surprisingly spacious. There is enough sleeping space for 6-8 people if you needed. this is a very secluded location- the kitchen has almost everything so I do recommend going to a grocery before you arrive. The wifi was really strong but we did have some spotty cell service. some other tips: bring stuff for the fire pit if you want to use it ( starter, fuel, etc). we actually scrounged around and found enough wood, but you run the risk of wet wood with this tactic; the lake is super cute bring your kayak if you have one; and as mentioned the place is super clean but it is in the woods so just be prepared for some bugs.
overall a good getaway if you want to be away from most things and people!

Great stay here! Notable: the lake / I didn’t realize at the time of booking that the private beach/lake access is not on the property, but it’s a very close drive and it wasn’t too crowded even over Labor Day weekend. The lake was great for fishing and swimming (locals had floaties, made me wish I had brought one!).
The host / The host, Tony, is very communicative and has a detailed house guide with information about the location and the surrounding area.
The house, outside / The house was extremely clean, check-in process easy, and super cute with lights lit around. The driveway is a bit steep but we had two SUVs come up and park just fine. Fun to grill! Fire pit was really nice to sit around; we had to stop to get firewood.
The house, inside / The two main bedrooms are equal size and outfitted the same which I appreciated, and the loft with two smaller beds would be super fun for kids. The couch also folds down but it’s a little firm. The kitchen is a little limited on cookware and doesn’t have tons of leftover ingredients like some AirBnbs do, so be sure to bring what you need. Plenty of serving-ware (dishes, cups, forks etc) though. Definitely stop for groceries on your way in or set aside some time for about an hour round trip run to Food Lion on Martin’s. The TV was super fun for a movie night (you can use their Netflix or do Airplay).

We enjoyed our stay. The host is very good a representing all the benefits of the house and playing down the flaws. There is a deck. It is not massive. 3 can comfortably eat on the deck, 4 could squeeze around the table. There is a dock, it’s not on the property. The lake is more of a body of water created by a dam. The staircase to the loft is very steep and narrow. Our kids loves it and found the low ceilings charming. Others might not be able to manage the stairs.

My family and I were looking to get away for a long weekend to (mostly) relax.
First, I want to call out how well Tony communicated before, during and as we wrapped up our trip. He proactively answered most questions that might come up and responded quickly when we needed him.
The house was perfect. It’s set in the back of a large (by space, not the number of homes) private community, so it checked the box of a quiet place away from crowds and traffic. Everything we needed was on-hand, so we could easily prep and serve meals. The cabin’s open layout allowed everyone to get comfortable wherever they liked without feeling miles apart.
We really enjoyed the small beach and private lake within the community. It was clean and convenient.

The house is lit up as you arrive – so welcoming, as well making it as easy to find. Inside, it’s just as pictured – new, bright & modern vibe, great use of the space. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Location is way off the beaten path but so quiet & peaceful – the wonderful porch/deck overlooks a gravel road, but almost no one drives it, so totally private! And it’s easy to drive to where you want – the nearby lake, or further away to Berkeley Springs, Shepherdstown, Harper’s Ferry, etc. Bathroom is nice except for badly-stained toilet, which is odd because the rest of the house is totally pristine! Furnishings seem inexpensive but fit the space well. Really a nice stay. Would recommend!

This beautiful home was a lot of fun to stay at. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils, pots, plates, cups, etc. Overall, the cabin was cleaned well and maintained nicely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and loved the surrounding areas. One thing to note is that the staircase to the loft area is on the narrow/skinny side and is steeper than a normal staircase, making it a little tricky/sketchy going up and down, especially at night. Beds were comfortable, and the towels and other linens were nice, clean,n and free of stains/smells. If we return to this area, we will definitely stay here again.

Very beautiful cabin. The host was very nice and provided prompt responses to my inquiries. I stayed there for a week for work purposes, so I didn't have the opportunity to use the hot tub, but everything was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The only issue was the age of the floor, which wasn't a problem for me. I particularly enjoyed the WiFi, as phone service is limited in the area. Additionally, the road to the cabin was somewhat long, but this is typical for a cabin. The property is well-maintained, although the door could use some adjustment. However, this didn't cause any issues during my stay. The instructions provided were clear and concise. Thank you, Tony.

While there wasn't much to do in the area, this cabin was a great place to get away. My friends and I took advantage of the hot tub almost every day and had a great time roasting marshmallows over the fire. Overall, the house is on a peaceful road without a lot of residents or traffic, great for grilling out on the deck or stargazing.

The place was nice and Tony was a great host. However, like similar reviews stated there is a significant foul smell coming from the kitchen sink. I asked ahead of time if this had been resolved, but clearly it hasn’t. Anytime you run a shower or use the kitchen sink the whole place begins to smell horrible for about 30 minutes. Otherwise, I loved the place. Would stay again if they fixed the smell.

This is the first time I’m not listing a 5 star review.
The first morning after check in, the kitchen sink leaked onto the floor. When inspected, the pipe was not hooked up properly. I messaged Tony about it. He responded right away and said he’d have his handyman out by a certain time, but he was over an hour late and we wasted a day waiting for him to show.
We also noted a smell from day one and let Tony know, but it got progressively worse during the week. By the end of our trip it was obvious there was issues with the septic system. Anytime we flushed, showered, or ran water the smell was awful. We again mentioned it.
We also noted sounds in the walls but did not make anything of it, you’re in the woods after all. However, the night before checkout, a mouse ran across the counter to behind the fridge, yes, we checked and it’s evidence of living there was quite obvious.
Outside that, the place had cosmetic issues and electrical problems. Switches and outlets didn’t work.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay here. Tony checked in and was very responsive. The hot tub was very relaxing in the cold weather. The space has some quirks but all small stuff. We were closer to other houses than I was expecting based on the photos. Be prepared for a well water smell. It didn’t bother me since I’ve stayed in the area before. The area was really quiet and relaxing.

The cabin was really nice but it had some electrical problems. When we used the hair dryer for example the lights would start flickering and if you would turn on the tv the hair dryer would lose power. We also came into the cabin with food from the supermarket and found out the stove was not working which really sucked because we were planning on cooking with the food we bought. But after texting him he switched the cabin for us which was really nice he is a good host. Overall we were happy with our stay the area was really nice and many things to do.

Stayed for Thanksgiving with my wife, two kids, and in-laws. The property was just as described. The area is super quiet and peaceful with east-facing views of the sunrise over the mountains. Tony was beyond helpful, great communication, and very responsive. My kids left their coats behind in the closet. Thankfully we realized before getting to the highway, and Tony was able to help us retrieve the easily. Would 100% stay here again.

Fantastic place to stay and very cozy. The beds provided are very comfortable. The hot tub made the experience a whole lot nicer especially with the gorgeous view and Tony was very friendly and responsive!

Cabin was very nice and Tony was very accommodating. We had a few hiccups due to a severe storm out of anyone’s control and Tony made it right. The beds in the loft, I wouldn’t recommend for small children or anyone that struggles with stairs. If you plan to use the hot tub, be sure to bring beach towels. Would book this property again.

This was a great family vacation. The hot tub was amazing to relax after sight seeing during the day with the family. We took a couple trips to DC for the zoo and museums but even had we not, West Virginia has a “wild and wonderful” attraction all of its own! We were there for a family reunion and the cabin was close to my in laws also so very convenient. It is a little out there so don’t look for food delivery 😂 but we managed just fine with the groceries and the grill! Thank you for a home away from home!!

This place was really nice and relaxing; we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it for anyone looking for some quiet time to get away. It’s about a half hour away from Berkeley Springs where there’s a lot of fun stuff to do, and Harper’s Ferry is pretty close as well. The place has lots of space and the hot tub is a great bonus.

Tony was extremely responsive and helpful with all questions that popped up throughout (and after) our stay. I left my watch behind and Tony was very helpful and responsive in getting it mailed back to me. Nothing out of the ordinary but the place had some wear and tear as you might expect given that it is a rental space and is in the woods. The beds were much more comfortable than they looked! Everything worked well and we enjoyed our relaxing time!

lovely spot and great for our friend's trip away for the weekend. everything was as described and we were very close to the trailhead for Sleepy Creek. Only thing I wish we had known was that the water in the tap was quite hard and had a strong iron taste and smell. Not a deal breaker but some of our group decided to grab some water bottles to drink out of.

I am not usually the one to write a bad review but the experience was mixed. We received stained bedsheets and human hair on the two beds that are in the attic. Also, an adult cannot stand straight there. The water in the bathroom was yellow and rusty, one of our friends fell sick. Tony was communicative and gave us $100 refund which I honestly think isn’t sufficient because one of our friends actually got sick. There was an additional fee if you want to check out late or check in early which I have never seen before in any airbnb property that I have lived in. Hosts are usually easy going and don’t mind giving an house extra but with this property that wasn’t the case. We only got half hour extra during our checkout was because the cleaners didn’t clean the house until our check in time. Overall it was a bittersweet experience.

We really enjoyed our stay. The atmosphere was very relaxing and even though there were neighbors they're not that close and were separated by trees so we almost felt secluded which was what we were looking for. Tony was an excellent host and gave us enough information beforehand so we really didn't have any questions for him.

We greatly enjoyed the firepit and privacy of this cabin. This stay was fine, but there is room for improvement - just a whole bunch of little things that are relatively easy fixes but jump out after one night at the property. Examples: only one kitchen towel, there's a fireplace but no firewood, kitchen could use a meat thermometer and food storage containers, there are curtain rods but no curtains, non-working outdoor lighting, walls are patched poorly, etc. There are two other things specifically worth noting. One, it's not prepped for a toddler. There are only baby gates at the top of the stairs and nothing to keep them from climbing on the definitely-not-to-code loft stairs. Two, things are cleaned but probably hasn't been deep cleaned in awhile - the rugs were pretty nasty. Overall, it's clear you're staying in an investment project rather than a home, but it's a decent place to stay as long as you don't plan for the cabin to be a vacation in/of itself.

This is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. We felt very comfortable and the house is thoughtfully stocked with good kitchen tools. The fire pit and hot tub were excellent additions. The swimming hole very close (10 min drive) and on the road into the place. Tony is very responsive as well. This was an excellent experience for my family and I. I highly recommend it.

If you’re looking for a private stay with comfortable beds and a lovely hot tub, this is the place for you! Tony is a wonderful host who is incredibly responsive. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom is large.
A few things about the property: the driveway is steep, as are the stairs going up to the front door and to the loft. There are plenty of bugs that come in, but that’s par for the course in WV. You will need to watch your step when going into the kitchen as the trim on the step is loose and there is a spot in the floor where the boards come up to a point.
Just a note, the lake is about 5 minutes by car. Great for fishing and swimming! A neighbor did ask us to show the lake pass and asked where we were renting. They let us in but weren’t overtly friendly to us.
Overall, this place was quiet and relaxing. A great weekend getaway!

This was a great place to stay for a short getaway from our daily grind. Being in the woods away from the highways and hustle of the suburbs allowed for us to unwind. Just the right amount of space without it feeling too big or too small. Tony was very easy to reach via text message. We spent our whole time at the house. Walked the road in the community a couple times to stretch our legs. The best part of the trip was waking up, w/o an alarm, to the sounds of birds chirping in the morning.

Tony’s cabin was an incredible getaway from the day to day of the city. Once the sun goes down, you can hear peepers and whippoorwills chanting in the dark and see the Big Dipper through the treetops as you enjoy a soak in his outdoor hot tub. In the morning, we enjoyed coffee on the porch and listened to the woodpeckers and blue jays argue farther back in the woods. There’s a secluded trail about a mile away that you can hike up to Devil’s Rock to enjoy an overlook into the valley and dip your toes in the stream on your way back. We enjoyed sandwiches from Tony’s Butcher Block just past the high school, and came back to fire up the bbq later that evening. Truly a wonderful host and relaxing hideaway in the West Virginia hills!

Tony’s place was nice & spacious, the area and neighborhood was good, we enjoyed the fire pit and other amenities inside the house. I would recommend the stay. The only thing that disappointed us was when we arrived the place wasn’t clean at all. The house was dirty and dusty. And trash left in multiple places. Tony did get his cleaners out the next day to clean so that was good but nobody wants to walk in a dirty home after you have been told the cleaners just left. Everything was nice besides that.

Overall we had a really nice stay! Clean house, well equipped kitchen, easy to check in and out. As other reviews have stated house is small and the stairs going up are very narrow so just be mindful of that. The other thing that we didn't realize (maybe should have considering the area and well water) was to bring lots of bottled water with us. I am sure the water is perfectly safe, but tasted very metallic. Again, not an issue, but want others to be more prepared than we were. We ran to the dollar store about 15 minutes away and were set!
The only other issue was with communication. Tony reached out asking if we needed recommendations, which was super nice, however when I asked some questions he never responded. We were trying to get to know the area so the lack of response was a little disappointing.
Overall would recommend! We had a very nice stay!

Tony's place was the perfect mini getaway for my boyfriend and me. Tony is a great host and kept in touch providing recommendations and things to do in the area (which is quaint but perfect if that's what you're looking for!) The house is very private tucked away in a neighborhood with updated appliances and extremely comfy beds! The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, and all the other cooking utensils you'd need which was very convenient. We also really enjoyed the fire pit out front and it kept us warm while looking at the stars which are beautiful out there! Our family loved staying here! It was peaceful, private, and beautiful. The kitchen was amazing and fully stocked with plates, cooking utensils, etc. The only complaint was the water had a red tint(which is probably no fault of owner) so bring water bottles!

The autumn setting is exactly what we were looking for and Tony’s cabin delivered! What a great place to stay! Very clean cabin with an amazing deck to sit out and enjoy some coffee or cocktails. Tony was very kind and accommodating. I have to say one of my favorite parts of my stay was going down to the lake for a swim. There’s nothing like a dip before dinner in a beautiful tree surrounded lake. You will love your nights by the fire pit. Throw on the string lights and roast some marshmallows. No need to look any further, if you are staying in the area book with Tony.

Our stay at the cabin was great and relaxing as it was so very quite for the most part. The couch is not comfortable and you cannot sign into your streaming accounts on the TV. The steps to the house are long and steep and this caused some issues for someone with asthma during a humid week. Tony was VERY receptive to inquiries and always responded quickly. In fact, he took the initiative to suggest places to go without being asked. All in all, it was a great escape from the busy city of Philadelphia. The quiet mountains and nice people in the community were exactly what was needed to reset. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your cabin! We hope to be back to the area soon!

This cabin is the perfect getaway spot! It’s so quiet, the sky is filled with stars at night and the lake or nearby hiking trails are great for the nature lover. It’s the perfect place to completely escape, due to its remoteness, or, if you are still looking for a little liveliness, Berkeley Springs is an easy drive away and full of fun options!
Tony is a gracious and thorough host. You will not have any questions, as they are all answered for you. He’s incredibly responsive, too.

The space was a little smaller than we thought, but it was still nice and the high ceiling made it feel very spacious. The neighbors were a bit loud at times but that is to no fault of the owners. Just keep an eye out the neighbors like to ride 4 wheelers quite fast on the roads and will sneak up on you quick. So drive slow and cautiously. You’re in the woods, which WE LOVED. But he’s not joking when he says there will be spiders!
The outdoor lights did not work unfortunately. But we bought some from the dollar store and used them instead so we could have some light outside when it got dark.
The A frame IS NOT on the lake. It’s 5 min away. Don’t let the pictures fool you. Just make sure you read the full description.
Overall, we had a good stay and had a great time. They made sure there were enough towels for us, the views were pretty, the fire pit was relaxing, it was a nice little get away.

Tony's cabin was exactly what I was looking for when I was searching for a layover during my trip. It was clean, comfortable and very accommodating and most importantly, quiet! Being used to quiet and away from the main drag is what I was looking for and it gave me just that. This sweet little cottage was so welcoming! We stopped there on our way home from the OBX where we had shared a beach house with extended family and the peaceful environment here was so comforting following a lot of commotion. It is very private with views of the woods from every window. The beds are extremely comfortable! My kids (ages 4, 7, and 8) loved the loft and the fire pit. It was a win for them, even without us having time to visit the private lake area. We had no issues finding food/necessities near by... We picked up a few snacks and frozen pizzas at the dollar general (less than a 10 minute drive) and were completely set. I would not hesitate to book this same home soon.

My friends and I absolutely loved this house. The location was perfect. The home was located in a private community on the top of a hill, giving you tons of privacy and nice views. We took advantage of the private lake located within the community and swam all day. Tony was a great host and texted to check in each day to make sure we were happy. Communication was super quick and transparent! The cabin beds were cozy, everything was clean, the kitchenware was convenient, and I was glad there was a first aid box in the bathroom! I cut my finger while chopping garlic, so it was nice to find bandaids.

Great spot, beautiful cabin! The 3rd bedroom (loft upstairs) has lower ceilings and a skinny/steep staircase to get to it, so something to think about! Also, the host does say this, but the driveway is a pretty steep hill, so if you are vacationing in the winter with snow in the forecast bring a 4WD car 😉 Overall, our family of 6 (+1 baby and a dog) had a great time for a long snowy weekend <3

This place was just far out enough to be quiet and quaint but still close enough to get to the main streets and other activities. Nice and peaceful! Had all the amenities you could ask for. Tony was easy to reach and talk to and gave great recommendations!!

Place and stay was great! Everything was so clean and the preparation Tony put into the description of the home, the information of the area and things to do (shopping, restaurants, etc.) was also spot on. It’s a great place to get away from it all. I gave 4 stars for location … only because it is out of the way (about 30 minutes from “things”). But Tony made that very clear in the description and information he provides. If you are expecting a lot right around you…then just keep that in mind. It worked out just right for our family!

Very nice stay- extremely extremely clean and very comfortable bed! Neighborhood was quiet and secluded. One note- the pond is fairly distant from the property itself. Would stay again when passing through the area.

Tony was a wonderful host and this cabin is everything I hoped it’d be! We stayed for a work week for a change of scenery and a tranquil relaxing atmosphere, and that is exactly what we got. We will definitely be back and look forward to booking our next stay!

The cabin was great for a little getaway for myself, my teenage daughter and her friends for a little birthday getaway. We spent a few hours on Saturday in Martinsburg shopping, and it was an easy drive there and back.

We really loved staying here! It’s nestled up in the woods surrounded by beautiful trees. The house was super clean, has beautiful morning light and really comfortable beds. The host, Tony, is friendly, quick to communicate and organized all of the guest info in a easy to read/understand way. Thanks for a great stay!

Cutest little cabin in the woods! Loved the modern conveniences in a rustic environment. It was a very short stay for us, so we didn’t really get to see or enjoy any of the surrounding area, except the view. Which was amazing!!

What a fantastic wooded retreat! Terrific cottage, very clean and smartly equipped. Quaint neighborhood with a wonderful little lake and sanded beach. Extremely close to golf at The Woods. And the owner Tony is incredibly responsive and kind. Definitely recommended.

Tony is an excellent host, he answer any question very quickly. The house was exactly like the photos, I really liked it. The area is amazing and the beach/ lake is beautiful; I enjoyed the delicious restaurants near by and the neighborhood as well. It is a cozy house into the woods.

Upon arrival, the home was truly breathtaking. We loved every bit of it and would highly recommend a stay here. We definitely plan on staying here again but for a lot more time. It was exactly what we needed! Tony was very responsive and helpful. Absolutely everything was perfect!

It was my birthday weekend that I stayed here at Tony’s cabin. The cabin is clean and well maintained. It can be spooky in the evening if you are a scaredy cat like I am(this is why I didn’t stay alone) but overall it’s a great and relaxing stay. We took a walk and enjoyed the nature! We also cooked and the cabin had everything needed to cook there including pots and pans and seasonings which was perfect.

Tony's place had great interiors and very clean! it has a small footprint but it's surprisingly spacious. There is enough sleeping space for 6-8 people if you needed. this is a very secluded location- the kitchen has almost everything so I do recommend going to a grocery before you arrive. The wifi was really strong but we did have some spotty cell service. some other tips: bring stuff for the fire pit if you want to use it ( starter, fuel, etc). we actually scrounged around and found enough wood, but you run the risk of wet wood with this tactic; the lake is super cute bring your kayak if you have one; and as mentioned the place is super clean but it is in the woods so just be prepared for some bugs.
overall a good getaway if you want to be away from most things and people!

Great stay here! Notable: the lake / I didn't realize at the time of booking that the private beach/lake access is not on the property, but it's a very close drive and it wasn't too crowded even over Labor Day weekend. The lake was great for fishing and swimming (locals had floaties, made me wish I had brought one!).
The host / The host, Tony, is very communicative and has a detailed house guide with information about the location and the surrounding area.
The house, outside / The house was extremely clean, check-in process easy, and super cute with lights lit around. The driveway is a bit steep but we had two SUVs come up and park just fine. Fun to grill! Fire pit was really nice to sit around; we had to stop to get firewood.
The house, inside / The two main bedrooms are equal size and outfitted the same which I appreciated, and the loft with two smaller beds would be super fun for kids. The couch also folds down but it's a little firm. The kitchen is a little limited on cookware and doesn't have tons of leftover ingredients like some AirBnbs do, so be sure to bring what you need. Plenty of serving-ware (dishes, cups, forks etc) though. Definitely stop for groceries on your way in or set aside some time for about an hour round trip run to Food Lion on Martin's. The TV was super fun for a movie night (you can use their Netflix or do Airplay).

Took the family on a quick getaway. Had a great time. House was clean and furnished nicely. The community was convenient for fishing and hiking. Tony was a great host. Responded to messages in a timely manner. Would go back again for sure.

Tony was great! Communicated from start to finish. The house was exactly as expected clean and even well supplied with a lot of amenities for everyday use. The house was lit up to perfection if arriving at night! Very private area. We couldn’t of expected any better! Would highly recommended.

A private getaway to meet up with family...some calm and tranquility during these crazy times. As a young family, we certainly enjoyed the access to the lake, especially being able to fish and swim.
The place was clean and as described. Communication and instructions were excellent. While we were there we took trips to Berkley Springs State Park and Harper’s Ferry - both easily accessible day trips. All around great trip.

Tony’s place was simply exceptional. Tony communicated clearly and was always available. The cabin, while somewhat secluded, felt just right. The kitchen was well stocked and the lake was beautiful. Highly recommend this place!

We enjoyed our stay. The host is very good a representing all the benefits of the house and playing down the flaws. There is a deck. It is not massive. 3 can comfortably eat on the deck, 4 could squeeze around the table. There is a dock, it’s not on the property. The lake is more of a body of water created by a dam. The staircase to the loft is very steep and narrow. Our kids loves it and found the low ceilings charming. Others might not be able to manage the stairs.

My family and I were looking to get away for a long weekend to (mostly) relax.
First, I want to call out how well Tony communicated before, during and as we wrapped up our trip. He proactively answered most questions that might come up and responded quickly when we needed him.
The house was perfect. It’s set in the back of a large (by space, not the number of homes) private community, so it checked the box of a quiet place away from crowds and traffic. Everything we needed was on-hand, so we could easily prep and serve meals. The cabin’s open layout allowed everyone to get comfortable wherever they liked without feeling miles apart.
We really enjoyed the small beach and private lake within the community. It was clean and convenient.

Beautifully renovated hidden gem. Great location for hiking (we did Devil's Nose+). Tony is an excellent communicator, super easy to reach. Home is very clean, beds are incredibly comfortable, modern kitchen. Get food on your way in or bring it with you!

The house is lit up as you arrive - so welcoming, as well making it as easy to find. Inside, it's just as pictured - new, bright & modern vibe, great use of the space. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Location is way off the beaten path but so quiet & peaceful - the wonderful porch/deck overlooks a gravel road, but almost no one drives it, so totally private! And it's easy to drive to where you want - the nearby lake, or further away to Berkeley Springs, Shepherdstown, Harper's Ferry, etc. Bathroom is nice except for badly-stained toilet, which is odd because the rest of the house is totally pristine! Furnishings seem inexpensive but fit the space well. Really a nice stay. Would recommend!

Stayed in the cabin for a staff retreat and it was lovely! Tony is very responsive and helpful, the place was clean and quiet, and the private lake was great. Would definitely stay again!
