We had a magical, romantic honeymoon here! Sitting in the hot tub at night with the stars in the sky and the sound of the river in the background was totally unforgettable. We took the path across from the front of the house and walked to Harpers Ferry every day we were here. The indoor and outdoor space at this rental was exactly what we needed. We loved everything about our trip and are already talking about coming back next year for our anniversary.

Overall this place was in a great location to Harpers Ferry lower town and a great value for the ammenities (historic charm, hot tub and fire pit, patio and balcony). Although the road down to the house and one house next to it is easy to miss from the main road and there is a train that goes by, the place was peaceful and like stepping back in time to simpler times. My husband and I came with our two dogs so had the pick of 3 bedrooms, each were thoughtfully furnished and spacious. We opted for one of the upstairs bedrooms that allowed for us to get on the bed from each side. The one thing I noticed while tearing down the bed was black dog hair on the comforter and a black smudge on one of the pillow cases. The pet hair on the comforter looked like it was more embedded in between the fabric then not cleaned. The black smudge also looked like a stain vs fresh, but these details of course matter. This is my only note of improvement as eveeything else was exceptional.

The location is very close to Harper’s Ferry downtown and good location & secluded. We had issues with getting into the place & with sheets still in the dryer, but beds made. The kitchen is amazing. The hot tub did not work which was disappointing & not all doors close properly. Overall, the place was adorable and sufficed, but had some issues.

The house is cool and a perfect location for visiting Harper’s Ferry. Pros: – Close to Harper’s Ferry, 15-minute walk to downtown proper – Cool old house that feels connected to the history of the area – Spacious – Private – Hot tub Cons: – Coffee maker was broken – Upstairs shower was not usable as a result of it being clogged with hard water deposits; the shower head downstairs was also clogged but usable – Numerous lights were burnt out leaving limited options for lighting at night – Mattresses covered in plastic covers that are noisy and not very comfortable (I slept well enough, just sweaty) – Thermostat was set to 64 degrees, leaving the big old house uncomfortably cold (it was on a schedule that couldn’t be changed) – Requested a late checkout (1-hour) for 11am, we were denied – The house wasn’t dirty per se but would benefit from a thorough cleaning to involve thorough vacuuming, floor scrubbing, surfaces

Location is away from it all but close enough to walk to downtown Harpers Ferry. Sit outside and listen to the Shenandoah River. Amazing. Tony and hosts thought of everything for our stay.

Tony is an excellent host and his home hit all the right notes: private but close to all we wanted to do, walkable to nearby hikes, beautiful and comfortable inside, and just as advertised in every respect. Will stay again!

The cabin is very cozy and well appointed. Six of us stayed here very comfortably on a cold and snowy weekend, and the hosts had just about everything we needed. Unfortunately, however, one of the showers did not have hot water and the hot tub failed to heat up on the second night of our stay. The hosts were very responsive to our questions during the stay and tried to help us troubleshoot the issues remotely. Although we were especially disappointed about the hot tub, we were still able to enjoy the two fireplaces, comfortable living areas, and beautiful scenery.

We had a great weekend at Tony’s AirBnb! It had the perfect mix of private space vs. public hang out areas and the kitchen was beautiful and well-stocked. We had trouble with the hot-tub during our stay but the host was responsive through the app. A great little spot for a get-away to Harper’s Ferry!

We absolutely loved staying at Tony’s place and enjoying the private and peaceful scenery and atmosphere! We were able to take a short walk across to the river and enjoy the beautiful scenery where my boyfriend (now fiancé) ended up proposing! I’m sure it is beautiful in the warmer weather as well! We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after exploring all the nearby towns. Tony was quickly responsive to any questions we had. Would highly recommend and stay here if we visit again!! Absolutely gorgeous place and so close to Harper’s Ferry and other towns!

We had a very nice weekend getaway at this Airbnb which comfortably fit 5 adults. The space was accommodating and comfortable and has been beautifully restored. We enjoyed the flexibility of being able to walk into lower Harper’s Ferry (cross the small footbridge in front of the house and turn left to follow the trail). The working fireplace was an added bonus. Easily parked 3 cars out front. Location was private yet central.

Location is absolutely perfect for a weekend of hiking and visiting Harper’s Ferry. Home was beautiful and cozy, just as advertised and will definitely be looking to stay again over the warmer months to do more exploring around the area.

What a cute spot and an easy drive from DC! Loved the ambience, privacy, and overall feel of the home. Kitchen had all the amenities I needed for some home cooked meals and the hot tub was the perfect way to relax with a good book on a cold afternoon. It was very easy to get down to the lower town or Harper’s ferry national park and visitor center by walking down Shoreline drive in either direction (highly recommend this vs trying to cross 340). Tony and the team were very responsive to all questions and made it an easy stay as a guest. Will definitely check this place out again next time I’m heading to Harper’s ferry!

The house is in a perfect private location, within walking distance to Harper’s ferry. The dogs loved the fenced in yard and hanging out while we enjoyed the hot tub. Bed was comfortable but the real winner was the softer pillow, I completely forgot to take a picture of the tag. Would have been cool to know some of the history of the building. I couldn’t find any online. And I know what you’re thinking, “ is this place haunted?” No, not any more, I had a wild dream the first night I was fighting a demon. My girlfriend said I was saying “die bald bitch” in my sleep. Anyway the ghost has been defeated.
