Location is excellent. Could not be better situated for exploring Harpers Ferry. The only reason for the 4 stars is the heating issue. We could not get the downstairs temp above 50F. The house did provide a few space heaters that kept the bedrooms at reasonable temps. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay at this house. Location was perfect to be able to walk to the beautiful scenery and bridge nearby, and there is a coffee shop and pub right across the street! The location could not have been better. Host was very communicative and helpful. We especially enjoyed the fireplace and living room downstairs as it gave the perfect cozy winter atmosphere. The house had nice old-timey character while also being fully functional and having plenty of amenities. It’s noteworthy how much they had in the kitchen in terms of tools or items to use. We would absolutely stay here again for a winter-getaway.

The house is quite charming and we had a great stay there. The fireplace is cozy, as is the upstairs tv room, and we appreciated the extra blankets for a warm winter night in. The instructions for parking and access were easy to follow and the house is very well located for walking around the town. We found the first few steps to the house to be quite icy; the snow and ice on the stone steps and by the curb were not well cleared which felt a little treacherous with our luggage and is something to be aware of in the winter. Otherwise, our stay was excellent and we would absolutely return.

Highly recommended for quiet time but walking to distance to hiking, water, and restaurants. Thank you for hosting.

This place was great! Right in the heart of everything in Harper’s ferry! Took the dog for a walk in historic areas in the middle of the night. Felt like we had the whole town to ourselves at night. Only thing that kept a 5 star was the amount of stairs we had to climb to get to the house. Not the properties fault. They do provide a reserved parking space as close as could be.Just didn’t expect this. The house was very cozy and old. Loved how nothing was plumed and everything creaked. Felt like walking about on a boat sometimes. All in the best way possible. Very cool and old building! We would stay here again!

Positive: Our stay was pleasant and our host Tony was ahead of us all the way making sure we had all we needed . What more could you ask for in a trip. As far as the house itself we found the veiws awesome and it felt as if we were caught in time.

It was such a memorable place! I got a great deal since it was during December and even though downstairs needed every heater because of it being 20 degrees, the upstairs living room was the absolute best! The shower wasn’t my favorite but apart from that, it was a great place. I was able to walk around and explore and I absolutely fell in love with the fire place. It was a really lovely historic home.
